An Error Updating System for Real-time Flood Forecasting based on Robust Procedure
Li Qian,Bao Weimin,Qian jinglin 대한토목학회 2015 KSCE Journal of Civil Engineering Vol.19 No.3
An updating technique is a tool to update the forecasts of mathematical flood forecasting model based on observed real-time data, and is an important element in a flood forecasting. The quality of the final updating results depends primarily on the quality ofobserved data. However, the input flow to reservoirs, or so called “observed input flow”, is usually calculated by the observed waterstage, outflow, and stage-storage relation curve. In this process, coarse errors which have great negative influence on updating areoften created. This paper introduces a robust theory in real-time forecasting updating, and proposes an error updating system withrobust procedure to limit the influence of coarse errors. Cases of ten reservoirs are studied to test the proposed system. Resultsindicate that the proposed robust procedure deflates the influence of outliers. The results of real-time updating with robust procedurein flood forecasting are better than those without robust procedure.

Tao Wang,Gang Li,Chang-Bao Fu,Rui Zhang,Xuemei Su,Qian-qian Bao 한국물리학회 2017 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.71 No.12
Weak ampli¯cation is an interesting phenomenon. In this paper we show an example that the imaginary weak ampli¯cation e®ect can be only related to the classical probability distribution of the measured quantity. A general result for any two orthogonal postselections and any meter state is also given.
Anti-diabetic activities of catalpol in db/db mice
Bao, Qinwen,Shen, Xiaozhu,Qian, Li,Gong, Chen,Nie, Maoxiao,Dong, Yan The Korean Society of Pharmacology 2016 The Korean Journal of Physiology & Pharmacology Vol.20 No.2
The objective was to investigate the hypoglycemic action of catalpol in spontaneous diabetes db/db mice. 40 db/db mice were randomly divided into five groups: model control gourp; db/db plus catalpol 40, 80, 120 mg/kg body wt. groups and db/db plus metformin 250 mg/kg group. Age-matched db/m mice were selected as normal control group. The mice were administered with corresponding drugs or solvent by gavage for 4 weeks. The oral glucose tolerance test was carried out at the end of $3^{rd}$ week. After 4 weeks of treatment, the concentrations of fasting blood glucose (FBG), glycated serum protein (GSP), insulin (INS), triglyceride (TG), total cholesterol (TC) and adiponection (APN) in serum were detected. The protein expressions of phosphorylation-$AMPK{\alpha}$1/2 in liver, phosphorylation-$AMPK{\alpha}$1/2 and glucose transporter-4 (GLUT-4) in skeletal muscle and adipose tissues were detected by western blot. Real time RT-PCR was used to detect the mRNA expressions of acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACC) and Hydroxymethyl glutaric acid acyl CoA reductase (HMGCR) in liver. Our results showed that catalpol could significantly improve the insulin resistance, decrease the serum concentrations of INS, GSP, TG, and TC. The concentrations of APN in serum, the protein expression of phosphorylation-$AMPK{\alpha}$1/2 in liver, phosphorylation-$AMPK{\alpha}$1/2 and GLUT-4 in peripheral tissue were increased. Catalpol could also down regulate the mRNA expressions of ACC and HMGCR in liver. In conclusion, catalpol ameliorates diabetes in db/db mice. It has benefit effects against lipid/glucose metabolism disorder and insulin resistance. The mechanism may be related to up-regulating the expression of phosphorylation-$AMPK{\alpha}$1/2.

ON ABSOLUTE VALUES OF K FUNCTIONS
Bao, Guanlong,Lou, Zengjian,Qian, Ruishen,Wulan, Hasi Korean Mathematical Society 2016 대한수학회보 Vol.53 No.2
In this paper, the effect of absolute values on the behavior of functions f in the spaces $\mathcal{Q}_K$ is investigated. It is clear that $g{\in}\mathcal{Q}_K({\partial}{\mathbb{D}}){\Rightarrow}{\mid}g{\mid}{\in}\mathcal{Q}_K({\partial}{\mathbb{D}})$, but the converse is not always true. For f in the Hardy space $H^2$, we give a condition involving the modulus of the function only, such that the condition together with ${\mid}f{\mid}{\in}\mathcal{Q}_K({\partial}{\mathbb{D}})$ is equivalent to $f{\in}\mathcal{Q}_K$. As an application, a new criterion for inner-outer factorisation of $\mathcal{Q}_K$ spaces is given. These results are also new for $Q_p$ spaces.

Ethanol is a common risk factor for liver injury. Cucurbitacin B (CuB) is a natural product with potent cytotoxic activities mediated by inducing apoptosis. This study investigated the effect of ethanol on CuB-induced cytotoxicity in LO2 hepatocytes. Low concentration of ethanol alone showed no significant cytotoxic effect on LO2 cells. CuB dose-dependently decreased cell viability. However, ethanol co-treatment significantly enhanced CuB-induced cytotoxicity. CuB-induced mitochondria membrane potential (ΔΨ) depolarization was further decreased by ethanol. Furthermore, CuB-induced apoptosis was augmented by ethanol, as evidenced by DNA fragmentation, Annexin V staining, and apoptotic protein expression. Ethanol inhibited CuB-induced autophagy, as determined by MDC staining, autophagic protein expression, and transmission electron microscopy. Therefore, the present data suggested that ethanol enhanced CuB cytotoxicity in LO2 hepatocytes, which was mediated by inhibiting autophagy and augmenting apoptosis.
The New Structural Design Process of Supertall Buildings in China
Lianjin, Bao,Jianxing, Chen,Peng, Qian,Yongqinag, Huang,Jun, Tong,Dasui, Wang Council on Tall Building and Urban Habitat Korea 2015 International journal of high-rise buildings Vol.4 No.3
By the end of 2014, the number of completed and under-construction supertall buildings above 250 meters in China reached 90 and 129, respectively. China has become one of the centers of supertall buildings in the world. Supertall buildings in China are getting taller, more slender, and more complex. The structural design of these buildings focuses on the efficiency of lateral resisting systems and the application of energy dissipation. Furthermore, the research, design, and construction of high-performance materials, pile foundations, and mega-members have made a lot of progress. Meanwhile, more and more challenges are presented, such as the improvement of structural system efficiency, the further understanding of failure models, the definition of design criteria, the application of high-performance materials, and construction monitoring. Thus, local structural engineers are playing a more important role in the design of supertall buildings.
On absolute values of ${\mathcal{Q}_K}$ functions
Guanlong Bao,Zengjian Lou,Ruishen Qian,Hasi Wulan 대한수학회 2016 대한수학회보 Vol.53 No.2
In this paper, the effect of absolute values on the behavior of functions $f$ in the spaces $\qk$ is investigated. It is clear that $g\in \qkt \Rightarrow |g|\in \qkt$, but the converse is not always true. For $f$ in the Hardy space $H^2$, we give a condition involving the modulus of the function only, such that the condition together with $|f|\in \qkt$ is equivalent to $f\in \qk$. As an application, a new criterion for inner-outer factorisation of $\qk$ spaces is given. These results are also new for $\qp$ spaces.
Fast Solution Combustion Synthesis of Porous NaFeTi3O8 with Superior Sodium Storage Properties
Jin-Bao Zhao,Xue Li,Qian Xiao 대한금속·재료학회 2018 ELECTRONIC MATERIALS LETTERS Vol.14 No.1
In this work, NaFeTi3O8 with three-dimensional porous net-like sheetmorphology is firstly prepared by a simple and effective solutioncombustion method. Encouragingly, when being assessed as an anodeelectrode for sodium ion batteries, the NaFeTi3O8 net-like sheetcomposite exhibits superior electrochemical properties. We also studythe effect of the combustion fuel glycine. The results indicate that theNaFeTi3O8 composite tends to be porous with glycine as thecombustion fuel, which displays more excellent long cyclic stability(discharge capacity of 91 mA h g−1 after 1000 cycles at the currentdensity of 0.5 A g−1) and superior rate performance (84.4 mA h g−1even at 1.6 A g−1) than that of NaFeTi3O8 without glycine as thecombustion agent. The enhanced electrochemical properties could beascribed to the unique porous morphology, which achieves betterelectrolyte infiltration and faster ion diffusion.
