This paper proposes to examine students feedback in order to study what they are watching in consecutive interpreting. Feedback plays an essential role in the training of apprentice interpreters. In classroom sessions, feedback from classmates is as important as that from teachers. However, the teaching of interpretation focuses only on interpretation skills, leaving aside feedback skills. For this study, students were told to make a video recording of their performance, write feedback and upload at Google Drive. We then proceeded to the encoding of feedbacks and categorized them according to the typology proposed in the previous studies. It turned out that the students, far from being limited to product-oriented feedback, leaned much more towards process-oriented feedback, which made it possible to verify their position and seek solutions for the problems they were facing at.

A holistic method of interpreting evaluation seems to be accepted without problem in interpreting schools but in the case when the profile of the teacher is different, this can have an effect on the notes of the interpretation. Especially, the language combination of the teahcer is important in the evaluation of AB interpretation since in Korea many korean teachers whose A language is korean are in charge of AB interpretation classes. This paper aims to show the difference of evaluation criteria according to the different profiles of the teacher. The profile here includes essentially the language combination and interpreting experience. The results observed in this case study can be the starting point for further study on elaborating a model of AB interpreting evaluation.

Improving energy efficiency, reducing CO₂ emission, improving durability and reliability, and reduction of total life cost of machine systems and components are main goals of recent design and manufacturing technology in academic and industrial society. All the failure in fatigue of torsion, bending and rolling contact, and in sliding wear and stress corrosion crack begins mostly from surface and grows into subsurface. So much efforts have been invested to the surface technology which deal these problems during past decades, but the industrial demand keeps growing and more significant requirements are added to researchers and engineers. Nano crystal surface modification technology which makes the surface layers into nano crystalline, induces big and deep compressive residual stress, increases surface hardness, improves surface hardness, and make micro dimples structure on surface is an emerging technology which can break limits of current surface technology and relieve the researchers and engineers burden. In this study, a nano crystal surface modification technology which is calling UNSM(Ultrasonic nano crystal surface modification) technology, is introduced and how it has been applied to industry to solve these failure problems is explained with typical examples. The UNSM technology can be utilized to innovate the design and manufacturing technology.
