Reproductive Health Services for Adolescents with Hearing Impairment in Indonesia: Expectations and Reality

Objectives: Reproductive health education is essential for adolescents with hearing impairment. Since they communicate using specialized language (i.e., sign language), specialized reproductive health services in sign language is a necessity. This study aimed to describe the needs, availability, and expectations of reproductive health services among adolescents with hearing impairment. Methods: This study used a qualitative approach. It was carried out at a school for children with special needs in the city of Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia. Data were collected by in-depth interviews. The informants were 6 adolescents with hearing impairment aged 16-17 years and 4 other key informants, including school staff and health officers. The data were then analyzed using the thematic method. Results: We found that the informants had insufficient knowledge regarding reproductive health. There was no specific subject in the curriculum regarding this issue. Teachers did not specifically provide reproductive health information. The health service unit in the school had not been utilized well for this purpose. Furthermore, no reproductive health services were provided due to the limited number of healthcare workers who could use sign language. Conclusions: The awareness and intentions of adolescents with hearing impairment regarding access to reproductive health services remain low. Health service units at schools should be optimized to enable schools to provide reproductive health information and services for these adolescents.

The Effect of Fraud Pentagon Theory on Financial Statements: Empirical Evidence from Indonesia

This study aims to obtain empirical evidence regarding the effect of the fraud pentagon theory on financial statement fraud. The novelty of this study is the use of factor analysis to consolidate the five elements of the fraud pentagon into just one factor, which, to the knowledge of the researcher, no one else has done to research the effect of pentagon fraud on financial statement fraud. This study uses both agency theory and fraud pentagon theory. The population of this study consists of state-owned companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The research period in this study is from 2014 to 2019. The data used in this study is secondary data obtained from the company's annual financial statements. A purposive sampling technique was used to determine the research sample. The selected companies total 20. Factor analysis and simple linear regression analysis method were used as research the methods. Based on the research results, it was found that the fraud pentagon theory had a positive effect on the financial statement fraud of state-owned companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. High level of the pentagon fraud on a company leads to a higher indication of financial statement fraud.

Integrating Perceived Enjoyment within the UTAUT Model for Enhanced Distribution Management Strategies

Purpose: Within the ever-changing realm of modern e-commerce, this study delves into the complex effects of factors like performance expectations, ease of use, social influence, favorable conditions, and enjoyment perception on users' intentions and usage patterns in online marketplace apps. The research centres on Tokopedia app users in Denpasar City, encompassing a wide and varied demographic. Methods: Utilizing a non-probability sampling method, 200 participants were selected for extensive data collection through surveys. Subsequent rigorous analysis of the gathered data was performed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) techniques. Results: This study aims to contribute substantially to theoretical and practical knowledge regarding marketplace app usage. Theoretical contributions involve enhancing the marketing domain, especially in digital marketing, by revealing the intricate factors influencing user conduct in online marketplaces. From a practical standpoint, this research provides valuable insights for entrepreneurs aspiring to join or improve their positions in the Tokopedia app market. Conclusion: Based on the study, we suggest optimising online shopping apps for a more appealing and user-friendly interface. Enhancing the enjoyment and simplicity of finding desired products can prompt heightened usage of online shopping services, thereby reinforcing distribution management strategies and overall market presence.

Human Resource Competency, Economic Potential, and VillageBased Enterprises' Productivity: The Mediating Role of Governance

This study aims to investigate the relationship between human resource competency, economic potential, and productivity of village-based enterprises, as well as understand the role of governance in mediating this relationship. This study was conducted in several village-based enterprises in Bali, Indonesia and the data were collected using questionnaires. Furthermore, the collected data were analyzed quantitatively using partial least analysis to confirm the relationship between variables. The findings indicate that human resource competency has an impact on governance, but it failed to explain the productivity of village-based enterprises. In addition, economic potential can have an impact on the governance and productivity of village-based enterprises in Bali, Indonesia. This study also showed a robust link between governance and productivity. Lastly, based on the statistical analysis, it was found that governance can mediate the relationship between human resource competency, economic potential, and productivity of village-based enterprises

The improvement of the performance of savings and loan cooperatives in Indonesia is a challenge in the digital era. The purpose of this research is to find how big the role of psychological climate is in mediating the relationship between leadership and organizational commitment. This study hopes to confirm the influence of leadership and psychological climate on organizational commitment and examines the psychological climate intervention (mediation) on the relationship between leadership and organizational commitment of the cooperatives. The population of this research is all members of the cooperative in Bali. This study uses a saturated sampling method to determine the sample. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires and data analysis using PLS. The results showed that in the digital era, leadership has a positive effect on organizational commitment, psychological climate, and in the end, will provide positive organizational commitment. Psychological Climate mediation answers the question that the impact of leadership and commitment will continue to exist and perform in an era of disruption. Culture is important in an organization; some areas such as Bali have a thick local culture. Perhaps future research should be improved on local culture and leadership transformation

한국어와 인도네시아어 파생 동사 연구

본고는 한국어와 인도네시아어 파생 동사를 대상으로 삼고 형태적 및 의미적으로 대조하여 그 특징을 밝히는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 한국어와 인도네시아어는 교착어의 특징을 가지므로 이는 두 언어의 파생어 형성에 반영된다. 국어사전에서 동사 파생 접사로 인정된 것과 인도네시아어 동사 파생 접사를 제시한 후, 그 결합 과정을 살펴보았다. 이에 의해 형성된 파생 동사는 형태적 및 의미적으로 대조하여 그 특징을 살폈다. 형태적으로 두 언어에서 그 결합 어근 및 분리 가능성에 동일하다고 할 수 있다. 단, 통사 범주에 관련해서 한국어의 경우 접미사만 통사 범주를 바꾸는 데 반해 인도네시아어에는 접미사와 불연속접사도 그 기능을 한다. 또 다른 형태적 특징은 어근과 접사의 결합 과정에서 볼 수 있다. 두 언어에서 한 어근에 둘 이상의 접사가 결합할 수 있으나 인도네시아어의 경우는 그 결합 과정은 명확하게 찾아볼 있다. 한편 한국어의 경우는 그 결합 과정이 여러 가지로 분석될 수 있다. 의미적 특징에 관련해서 두 언어에서 파생동사의 의미는 접사와 어근의 의미의 결합이라고 볼 수 있으며 어근의 기본 의미만 파생동사 의미에 반영된다. 한편 문맥 의미는 파생동사에 참여하지 않는다. 또한 의미적으로 두 언어에서 저지 현상이 보인다는 것을 볼 수 있다. This study analyzes Korean and Indonesian derivative verbs and used contrastive analysis to figure out its morphological and semantic characteristic. Korean and Indonesian are both agglutinative language and this can be seen in its derivative verbs formation. After making a list of Korean affix and Indonesian affix that produce derivative verbs, the formation process is observed. Then the derivative verbs in both languages are examined morphologically and semantically. It can be said that morphologically, the root and possibility of separation in both derivative verbs is identical. Related to syntactic category, it is found that only suffix that is able to change the root's syntactic category in Korean while prefix, confix and simulfix in Indonesian are also having the function to change root's syntactic category. Other morphological characteristic can be found in how root and affix combine to form derivative verbs. Both languages allow the combination of several affixes in one root. The combination process is clearly seen in Indonesian while it is possible to have several views in Korean about the combination process of a derivative verb. Related to semantic characteristics, it can be seen in both languages that the meaning of derivative verbs is constructed from the meaning of its root and affix. Only basic meaning of root is reflected in the derivative verb, while contextual meaning is not reflected. Blocking phenomenon can also be seen in both languages.

Pathomechanism and Management of Stroke in COVID-19: Review of Immunopathogenesis, Coagulopathy, Endothelial Dysfunction, and Downregulation of ACE2

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) can reportedly manifest as an acute stroke, with most cases presenting as large vessel ischemic stroke in patients with or without comorbidities. The exact pathomechanism of stroke in COVID-19 remains ambiguous. The findings of previous studies indicate that the most likely underlying mechanisms are cerebrovascular pathological conditions following viral infection, inflammation-induced endothelial dysfunction, and hypercoagulability. Acute endothelial damage due to inflammation triggers a coagulation cascade, thrombosis propagation, and destabilization of atherosclerosis plaques, leading to largevessel occlusion and plaque ulceration with concomitant thromboemboli, and manifests as ischemic stroke. Another possible mechanism is the downregulation of angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 as the target action of severe acute respiratory syndrome-coronavirus-2 (SARSCoV- 2). Acute stroke management protocols need to be modified during the COVID-19 pandemic in order to adequately manage stroke patients with COVID-19.
