Task Scheduling on Cloudlet in Mobile Cloud Computing with Load Balancing
Poonam,Suman Sangwan International Journal of Computer ScienceNetwork S 2023 International journal of computer science and netw Vol.23 No.10
The recent growth in the use of mobile devices has contributed to increased computing and storage requirements. Cloud computing has been used over the past decade to cater to computational and storage needs over the internet. However, the use of various mobile applications like Augmented Reality (AR), M2M Communications, V2X Communications, and the Internet of Things (IoT) led to the emergence of mobile cloud computing (MCC). All data from mobile devices is offloaded and computed on the cloud, removing all limitations incorporated with mobile devices. However, delays induced by the location of data centers led to the birth of edge computing technologies. In this paper, we discuss one of the edge computing technologies, i.e., cloudlet. Cloudlet brings the cloud close to the end-user leading to reduced delay and response time. An algorithm is proposed for scheduling tasks on cloudlet by considering VM's load. Simulation results indicate that the proposed algorithm provides 12% and 29% improvement over EMACS and QRR while balancing the load.
A Novel Anti-Jamming Technique for Cognitive Radio Network
Poonam,Ravi Kant,Chander Kumar Nagpal 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Grid and Distributed Comp Vol.9 No.11
As the use of wireless applications is increasing every day; it results into shortage of limited available spectrum. Licensed spectrum is unutilized and unlicensed spectrum is overcrowded, so to increase the efficiency of allocated spectrum and to fulfill the need of unlicensed spectrum, CRN is proposed. Some routing protocols are designed for wireless communication keeping in mind that all nodes are cooperating. So this approach can solve the problem of spectrum scarcity. However due to the flexibility of such network, it is vulnerable to many security threats. Jamming attack is one of the most popular security threats which cause denial of service in the network. Various solutions are available in the literature to deal with jamming attack but still there are some open challenges in jamming attack. In this paper various anti-jamming techniques and analyze the open issues of jamming which are still there in the cognitive radio network. An anti-jamming technique is proposed in this paper to deal with the open issues. Simulation is done in MATLAB-2013 and results show that proposed method performs well.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of fruit juices on Multi-Drug Resistant (MDR) bacterial pathogens involved in Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs) and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) among tribal women in the district Anuppur, Madhya Pradesh, India. Methods: Fresh juices of lemon (Citrus limon), amla/Indian gooseberry (Phyllanthus emblica), pineapple (Ananas comosus), mosambi/sweet lime (Citrus limetta), orange (Citrus sinensis), kiwi (Actinidia deliciosa), and pomegranate (Punica granatum) fruits were evaluated for in vitro antibacterial activity against bacterial pathogens involved in UITs and STIs among tribal women. Physico-chemical analysis of fresh fruits was also carried out by measuring the pH, moisture, protein, fat, crude fibre, carbohydrate, and ascorbic acid content. Results: Lemon and amla juice showed better antibacterial activity against the pathogens as compared to other juices. MIC results fruit juices against UTIs and STIs pathogens vary depending on the specific pathogen and juice chemical constituents. The physico-chemical analysis showed that the moisture content was highest in mosambi (90%), followed by orange (87%). Ascorbic acid content was found highest in amla (540 mg/100 g), followed by kiwi (90.3 mg/100 g). Pomegranate showed highest concentration of carbohydrate (15.28 g/100 g), fat (1.28 g/100 g), and protein (1.65 g/100 g). Lemon juice had lowest pH of 2.20, followed by amla 2.67. Conclusion: The lemon juice showed highest antibacterial activity against MDR bacterial pathogens involved in UTIs and STIs among tribal women in district Anuppur, Madhya Pradesh, India. The low pH of lemon may be responsible for its high antibacterial activity as compared to other juices.
Delineation of $Omega$ bitopological spaces
Poonam Agarwal,Chandra Kant Goel 장전수학회 2019 Proceedings of the Jangjeon mathematical society Vol.22 No.4
In the present paper, we study and analyse a function on a bitopological space which enabled us to derive a new bitopology on a given bitopological space. We explore various characterizations of the derived bitopological space and investigate the propinquity between both the bitopologies. Also we dene new separation axioms on the bitopological spaces and study how a separation axiom on one bitopo- logical space in uences the other.
High-temperature Corrosion of AlCrTiSiN Film in Ar-1%SO2 Gas
Poonam Yadav,권식철,Yue Lin,Shihong Zhang,이동복 대한금속·재료학회 2017 대한금속·재료학회지 Vol.55 No.4
An AlCrTiSiN film composed of 31Al-15Cr-1.7Ti-0.5Si-51.8N (at%) was deposited on a steel substrate by arc ion plating to a thickness of 1 μm. It consisted of nano crystalline hcp-AlN and fcc-CrN. Its corrosion behavior in Ar-1%SO2 gas at 800 ℃ for 5-50 h was studied. The resulting scales consisted primarily of Al2O3 and Cr2O3, which effectively suppressed the corrosion. No sulfides formed, because Al and Cr oxidized competitively from the surface. The film was primarily corroded by the inward diffusion of oxygen and a much smaller amount of sulfur.

In an effort to identify a microbial lipase that can catalyze transesterification reactions used in biodiesel production, an organic solvent-tolerant lipase was purified from Streptomyces sp. CS268. The molecular weight of the purified lipase was estimated to be 37.5 kDa by SDSPAGE. The lipase showed highest activity at a temperature of 30°C and pH 8.0 while it was stable in the pH range 4.0~ 9.0 and at temperatures ≤ 50°C. It showed the highest hydrolytic activity towards medium-length acyl chain pnitrophenyl decanoate with Km and Vmax values of 0.59 mM and 319.5 mmol/mg/min, respectively. Also, the lipase showed non-position specificity for triolein hydrolysis. The purified lipase catalyzed transesterification reaction of soybean oil with methanol, suggesting that it can be a potential enzymatic catalyst for biodiesel production.

Antibiotic activity against various gram positivebacteria including Staphylococcus aureus and Enterococcuswas ascertained from a soil-isolated microbial strainStreptomyces sp. CS392. The antibiotic activity of the strainwas maximized by using a dual-stage, multivariate statisticaloptimization framework based on the response surfacemethodology considering a lab-scale fermentation process. Multiple nutrient constituents of the fermentation brothwere jointly optimized in the first stage, while the fermentationculture conditions were optimized in the subsequentstage. Based on the empirical models derived from the dualstagestatistical optimization framework, 39.79 % ofcumulative enhancement in the antibiotic activity wasobtained (analytically) at the concurrent optimal settings(Optimal nutrient composition for the first stage of optimization:29.82 glucose, 7.6 peptone, 4.678 MgCl2 and0.5005 g/l casamino acid; and optimal fermentation conditionfor the second stage of optimization: incubationperiod 47.55 h; incubation temperature 29.15 C; and pH8.36). The analytically depicted enhancement in the antibioticactivity was validated experimentally.

The present work aims at the synthesis of Zinc-doped CdSe (Zn:CdSe) nanoparticles with average size near the Bohr radius by wet chemical method. The synthesized nanoparticles have been characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), UV-Vis spectrometer is used for the determination of bandgap and crystallite size is estimated using Debye–Scherrer formula and Brus equation. The nonlinear optical property that is excitonic nonlinear absorption and the wavelength dependence of nonlinear absorption has also been measured near the excitonic transitions involving the lowest electron state (1S) and one of the hole states 1S3/2(h). We observe the saturable absorption (SA), which can be described by a third-order and a fifth-order nonlinear process for Zn:CdSe nanocrystals. The irradiance and wavelength dependence of the excitonic nonlinearity are explained by two-level model. The calculations have been performed with the help of Z-scan experimental setup using Handy Compact Q-switched pulsed Nd:YAG laser (HYL-101 Quanta System).
