        봉지종류 및 괘대시기가 ‘원황’ 및 ‘화산’ 배 과실의 수확기 품질에 미치는 영향

        We tested fruits quality and skin coloration of two pear cultivar ‘Wonhwang’ and ‘Whasan’ produced by bagging with different kinds of paper bags in the Cheonan area, Chungnam Province, Korea. The fruits were bagged at 35, 45, 55 or 65 days after full bloom (DAFB) with 3 kinds of double layer paper bag which consisted of grey color, yellow color and newspaper for outer layer. The great extent of light interruption was observed in grey colored outer paperbag among three kinds of paperbag which showed only 0.46% of lowest light transmittance when compared with 43.7% and 40.0% of yellow paper and newspaper, respectively. The development of skin redness (a*) increased with the delay of bagging time in two pear cultivars. But the fruits treated at 65 DAFB showed uneven coloration and excessive development of redness which represented low fruit external appearance value. Uniform flesh firmness was attained at the fruits bagged with grey outer color paperbag regardless of bagging time, although the fruit quality indices including soluble solids and titratable acidity did not change significantly by using different kind of fruit bags and bagging time in two pear cultivar. Based on our results, it was explained that the grey-colored fruit bag had positive effect on the development of skin coloration without any detrimental effect on fruit quality factors in ‘Wonhwang’ and ‘Whasan’ pears.

      • 케일녹즙이 고콜레스테롤식이 흰쥐의 혈청 및 간장의 지질성분에 미치는 영향

        체중 60~65㎏의 wistar계 숫쥐에게 cholesterol 무첨가식이에 물과 kale 녹즙을 각각 급여하여 혈청중 총 cholesterol 농도, HDL-cholesterol 농도, 간장중의 총 cholesterol 농도, 혈청 및 간장중의 TG와 PL의 농도 그리고 과산화지질 농도를 측정하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1) 혈청중 총 cholesterol 농도는 cholesterol 무첨가식이군인 1,2군산 cholesterol 첨가이식군인 3,4, 5군간에서 각각 유의성이 없었다. HDL-cholesterol 농도는 cholesterol 무첨가식이군인 1,2군과cholesterol 첨가이식이군인 3,4,5군에서 kale 녹즙을 급여한 군이 유의적으로 높았다. 2)혈청의 중성지방농도는 전 군간에 유의성은 없으나 물ㅇㄹ 급여한 군보다 kale 녹즙을급여한 군에 있어 약간 낮은 경향이었다. 혈청의 인지질 농도는 cholesterol 무첨가식이군 및 cholesterol 첨가이식군 모두 물을 급여한 군보다 kale 녹즙을 급여한 군이 유의적으로 높았다. 3)간장의 총 cholesterol 농도는 cholesterol 첨가식이군에 있어 물을 급여한 군이 약간 낮은 경향이었다. 4)간장의 중성지방농도는 cholesterol 무첨가식이군에 비해 cholesterol 첨가이식군인 3,4,5군이 유의적으로 높았으며, 이들 군간에 있어서는 kale 녹즙혼액군이 비교적 낮았다. 간장 인지질농도는 cholesterol 첨가식이군인 3,4,5군간에 있어 kale 녹즙과 녹즙혼액을 급여한 3,4,군이 비교적 낮았다. 5)혈청 및 간장의 과산화지질농도는 cholesterol 첨가이식군인 3,4,5군이 무첨가식이군에 비해 대체로 낮았으며 또한 kale녹즙과 녹즙혼액을 급여한 군에 있어 유의적으로 낮았다. 이상의 결과로 보아 kale 녹즙의 섭취는 혈청 HDL-cholesterol 농도의 상승효과가 있고 간장 중 cholesterol 및 인지질의 농도를 다소나마 저하시키며 또한 혈청및 간장의 과산화지질농도의 지하작요이 있으므로서 혈청 및 간장의 지질개선효과가 있는 것으로 사료된다. The effect of kale juice, Brassica oleracea, on lpid components in serum and liver were investigated by feeding male rats of wistar for four weeks. And the concentrations of T-cholesterol,phospholipid, triglyceride and lipid peroxide in serum and liver were analysed along with the HDL-cholesterol concentration of serum . The results were as follows: 1)There was not found ny significant influence on the concentration of T-cholesterol in serum, butsome of relatively higher inluence but some of relatively higher influence on the HDL-cholesterol concentration. 2)For the group fed with 100% kale juice the concentration of triglyceride was shown lower than for any other groups, while that of phospholipid was shown higher. 3)The concentration T-cholesterol in liver was shown a little lower for the kale juice groups. 4)The concentration of triglyceride in liver was remarkably decreased in the 100% kale juice group in comparison with other groups, whiel the phospholipid concentraion was not. 5)Lipid peroxide values in serum and liver were relatively decreased in the kale juice groups compared to other group.

      • 방아 잎과 배양한 방아 Callus의 페놀화합물의 분석

        To develop useful materials in plant, phenolic compounds of Bangah leaves and induced callus were extracted and analyzed. Defatted Bangah leaves and callus were extracted with acetone/methanol(l:l, V/V), which extracts were fractionated into free and bound types of phenolic compounds. The contents of phenolic compounds in insoluble-bound fraction were also higher than free fraction. From the assays of total polyphenol contents in Bangah leaves and callus were each 70.3~111.2mg%, 196.1~222.5mg%. In addition, analyzed with HPLC in the phenolic compounds of callus extracts. The phenolic compounds of callus extracts were isolated into eight major components. They were gallic acid, catechol, chlorogenic acid, vanillic acid, caffeic acid, ferulic acid, sinapic acid, and cinnamic acid. The amounts of phenolic compounds in insoluble-bound fractions were higher than those of free fractions. Among these components, cinnamic acid was particulary abundant in free phenolics and ferulic, cinnamic acid in insoluble-bound phenolic acid.

        인공재배 복령(茯笭)의 성분조성

        인공재배한 백복령의 성분을 분석한 결과 일반성분은 수분 58%, 회분 1.8%, 지방 0.9%, 단백질 0.6%, 섬유소 0.3%로 나타났으며 재배 장소와 방법, 수확시기, 건조조건에 따라 차이가 난다. 무기성분은 ICP로 측정한 결과 Zn 0.63Mg%, Cu 0.18mg%, Fe 1.56mg%, Mn 1.62mg%, Mg 5.28mg%, Ca 12.59mg%, Na 10.12mg%, K 52.39mg%로 나타나 K, Ca, Na 등의 양이온 무기성분이 상당량 함유되어 있었다. 복령 물추출물의 유리당은 glucose만 검출되었고 함량은 1.16㎎%였다. 아미노산은 구성아미노산 13종, 유리아미노산 9종이 확인되었고 함량은 각각 1247.17㎎%, 174.44㎎%였으며, Phe, Iso, Leu, Tyr, His 함량이 높게 나타났다. The various components of cultivated Poria cocos were studied to obtain basic data. The contents of moisture, ash, lipid, protein & fiber were estimated as 58%, 1.8%, 0.9%, 0.6% & 0.3% and the mineral contents of water extracts from Poria cocos were Zn 0.63㎎%, Cu 0.18㎎%, Fe 1.56㎎%, Mn 1.62㎎%, Mg 5.28㎎%, Ca 12.59㎎%, Na 10.12㎎% and K 52.39㎎%. Among them, K, Ca and Na were abundant. Proximate components of Poria cocos were varied according to cultivated place & methods, harvest time and drying condition. Free sugars determined from Poria cocos water extracts were glucose whose contents were 1.16㎎%, but sucrose, maltose and fructose were not detected. Amino acids compositions of Poria cocos were detected as free amino acids 9 kinds, constitunent amino acid 13 kinds and their contents were 1247.17㎎%, 174.44㎎%. Major amino acids were Phe, Iso, Leu, Tyr and His.

      • 微生物에 의한 n-alkanes의 資化와 乳化

        A long-chain n-alkane-using microorganism was isolated from a soil sample, and was identified to belong to genus Acinetobactor. This strain Ma-1 grew on n-alkanes ranging in carbon length from C_(13) to C_(44) as a sole carbon source. This strain could grow on the solid hydrocarbons without addition of any detergents. The growth and the hydrocarbon use were enhanced by the addition of a surface active agent, Plysurf A210G. A strain Ma-I culture isolated in our laboratory has been shown to produce an extracellular biopolymer with emulsifying properties when grown on a mixture of linear hydrocarbons. The substrates supporting good growth gave good polymer production. The polymers recovered from the substrates were found to be complex molecules or mixtures with a protein, a lipid, and a carbohydrate moiety.

        한국인에게 적절한 기관삽관 위치

        Endotracheal intubation is one of the important procedures in ED and various fields. Endobronchial intubation can lead to hypoxemia secondary to tension pneumothorax of intubated side and atelectasis of contralateral side. The placement of tube beyond the vocal cords may results in inadvertent extubation, larygeal spasm and aspiration pneumonia. The conformation methods of endotracheal intubation are auscultation of the chest, observation of a vapor trail, oximetry and capnography, and radiologic evaluation. Owen and associates recommended that oral intubation tubes at the upper incisor teeth at the 23cm in men and the 21cm in women of average adult size would have led to proper placement. We studied that whether the proper depth of endotracheal tube in American is appropriate to Korean. We studied adult patients admitted to ED (of both hospitals during March in 1995. Endotracheal tubes in men were positioned at the 23cm and women had positioned at the 21cm at the upper incisor teeth. The distance of the tip of the endotracheal tube to the tracheal carina on the postintubation chest X-ray then determined. Correct placement of intubation was defined with the tip of the tube≥3cm above the carina and below the level of the larynx. Fifty adult patients were enrolled in the study ; 29 men (58%) and 31 women (42%). Mean height and weight were 170±5.2cm, 68±9kg in men and 158±6.5cm, 56±10kg in women. Reasons for intubation were ; respiratory failure(38%), trauma(16%), increased intracramial pressare(16%), drug intoxication(12%), shock(8%), cardiac arrest(7%)and others(3%). The mean distance from the tip to carina on chest X-ray was 4.13±1.5cm in men and 3.45±2.1cm in women. Proper position was 27/29(93%) in men, 14/21(67%) in women or 41/50(82%). this means the placement of endotracheal tube of our patients was positioned deeper than prion study group(97.6%).(p<.05) We recommend that the 22cm tube mark for men and 20cm tube mard for women at upper incisor teeth would have led to proper placement in Korean adult patient.
