The purpose of this paper is to examine whether there is a non-linear relationship between international entrepreneurship orientation, international market orientation and export performance, among 485 Chinese manufacturing companies. Moreover, it seeks to examine the moderating effects of international market orientation and market dynamics on export performance. The results of this study are summarized as follows: First, there is a J-shaped relationship between international entrepreneurship orientation and export performance Second, the relationship between international market orientation and export performance is inverse and U-shaped. Third, market dynamics strengthened the reverse U-shaped relationship between international market orientation and export performance. Finally, international market orientation and market dynamics show that J-shaped relationship between international entrepreneurial orientation and export performance is strengthened. Study results confirmed that international entrepreneurial orientation (J-shaped) and international market orientation (inverted U-shaped) and export performance form a non-linear relationship and it is possible to make an empirical contribution to the extant body of knowledge by offering a new approach to understanding the relationship between international strategic orientation and export performance. Such findings imply that the higher the dynamics of the overseas market in the international business activities, all the more should Chinese export enterprises exhibit higher international entrepreneurial orientation and international market oriented behavior in order to improve export performance.

Background: Maternal Toxoplasma gondii (T. gondii) infection during pregnancy has been associated with various mental illnesses in the offspring. Ginsenoside Rh2 (GRh2) is a major bioactive compound obtained from ginseng that has an anti-T. gondii effect and attenuates microglial activation through toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4)/nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-kB) signaling pathway. GRh2 also alleviated tumor-associated or lipopolysaccharide-induced depression. However, the effects and potential mechanisms of GRh2 on depression-like behavior in mouse offspring caused by maternal T. gondii infection during pregnancy have not been investigated. Methods: We examined GRh2 effects on the depression-like behavior in mouse offspring, caused by maternal T. gondii infection during pregnancy, by measuring depression-like behaviors and assaying parameters at the neuronal and molecular level. Results: We showed that GRh2 significantly improved behavioral measures: sucrose consumption, forced swim time and tail suspended immobility time of their offspring. These corresponded with increased tissue concentrations of 5-hydroxytryptamine and dopamine, and attenuated indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase or enhanced tyrosine hydroxylase expression in the prefrontal cortex. GRh2 ameliorated neuronal damage in the prefrontal cortex. Molecular docking results revealed that GRh2 binds strongly to both TLR4 and high mobility group box 1 (HMGB1). Conclusion: This study demonstrated that GRh2 ameliorated the depression-like behavior in mouse offspring of maternal T. gondii infection during pregnancy by attenuating the excessive activation of microglia and neuroinflammation through the HMGB1/TLR4/NF-kB signaling pathway. It suggests that GRh2 could be considered a potential therapy in preventing and treating psychiatric disorders in the offspring mice of mothers with prenatal exposure to T. gondii infection.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>In this work, we present a detailed study on the magnetic property and critical behavior in the austenitic phase of Ni43Mn46Sn8X3 alloys with X=Cr and In, which were prepared by an arc-melting method in an argon ambience. The <I>M</I>(<I>T</I>) curve of the Cr sample (X=Cr) exhibits a single magnetic phase transition at the Curie temperature of the ferromagnetic (FM) austenitic phase with <I>T</I> A C =303K. In contrast, the In sample (X=In) exhibits multiple magnetic phase transitions, including a magnetic phase transition from a FM state to weakly magnetic state at <I>T</I> M C =165K of the martensitic phase, a martensitic transition from the weakly magnetic to the FM austenite phase at <I>T</I> M-A =259K, and a magnetic phase transition from the FM to paramagnetic (PM) at <I>T</I> A C =297K of the austenite phase. Based on the Landau theory and <I>M</I>(<I>H</I>) data measured at different temperatures, we pointed that the FM-PM phase transitions around <I>T</I> A C in both samples were the second-order phase transition. Our results suggest an existence of the long-range FM interactions in the austenite phase. A small deviation from the mean-field theory of the critical exponents has been also observed pointing out an existence of the inhomogeneous magnetism that could be associated with the presence of the anti-FM interactions in these samples. Besides, their effective exponents <I>β</I> eff(<I>ε</I>) and <I>γ</I> eff(<I>ε</I>) have been also calculated.</P>
Paip1 Indicated Poor Prognosis in Cervical Cancer and Promoted Cervical Carcinogenesis
Nan Li,Junjie Piao,Xinyue Wang,김기열,배정윤,Xiangshan Ren,Zhenhua Lin 대한암학회 2019 Cancer Research and Treatment Vol.51 No.4
Purpose This study was aimed to investigate the role of poly(A)-binding protein-interacting protein 1 (Paip1) in cervical carcinogenesis. Materials and Methods The expression of Paip1 in normal cervical epithelial tissues and cervical cancer (CC) tissues were detected by immunohistochemistry. In vivo and in vitro assays were performed to validate effect of Paip1 on CC progression. Results Paip1 was found to be up-regulated in CC, which was linked with shorter survival. Knockdown of Paip1 inhibited cell growth, induced apoptosis and cell cycle arrest in CC cells, whereas its overexpression reversed these effects. The in vivo tumor model confirmed the pro-tumor role of Paip1 in CC growth. Conclusion Altogether, the investigation demonstrated the clinical significance of Paip1 expression, which prompted that the up-regulated of Paip1 can presumably be a potential prognostic and progression marker for CC.

<P>Hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) are maintained in a quiescent state in bone marrow (BM) niches by intrinsic and extrinsic signals. The mechanisms regulating the quiescence and mobilization of HSCs, however, remain unclear. In this study, we report that the expression of thioredoxin-interacting protein (TXNIP) is decreased during HSC activation. In Txnip(-/-) mice, the long-term reconstituting HSC population is decreased and exhausted, and its capacity to repopulate is rapidly lost. These effects are associated with hyperactive Wnt signaling, an active cell cycle, and reduced p21 expression under conditions of stress. TXNIP deficiency reduced the CXCL12- and osteopontin-mediated interaction between HSCs and the bone marrow, and impaired homing and retention in the osteoblastic niche, resulting in mobilized HSCs. Therefore, we propose that TXNIP is essential for maintaining HSC quiescence and the interaction between HSCs and the BM niche.</P>

Chun Hua Piao,Yan Jing Fan,Thi Van Nguyen,Zhen Nan Yu,Hee Soon Shin,Chang Ho Song,Ok Hee Chai 대한체질인류학회 2021 대한체질인류학회지 Vol.34 No.2
Despite studies on the anti-inflammatory effect of Fructus amomi, mature fruit of Amomum villosum Lour, have been getting increasing extensively, it remains unknown about the detailed effects of F. amomi on ovalbumin (OVA)-induced mouse asthma model. In this study, we examined the effect of F. amomi on OVA-induced asthma by analyzing Th1/Th2 cytokine production, histopathologic changes, and focusing on the NF-κB signaling. Oral administration of F. amomi reduced the number of inflammatory cells especially eosinophils and improved airway and pulmonary inflammation in the lungs of OVA-challenged mice. In addition, F. amomi significantly downregulated the overproduction of tumor necrosis factor-α, IL-1β, IL-4, IL-5 and the levels of OVA-specific both IgE and IgG1 and increased the secretion of interferon-γ and OVA-specific IgG2a. Moreover, F. amomi suppressed the increase of total NF-κB level and the phosphorylation of IκB-α and NF-κB by OVA. F. amomi may have therapeutic effect for allergic asthma by modulating Th1/Th2 cytokine imbalance and inhibiting NF-κB signaling activation.
