Astaxanthin production is commonly induced under stress conditions such as nutrient deficiency (N or P), high light stress, and variations of temperature, high NaCl concentrations, and other factors. The objective of the present study is the analysis of the effect of oxidative stress by sodium orthovanadate (SOV), a nonspecific inhibitor of protein tyrosine phosphatases, on the cells growth and astaxanthin production of H.lacustris. In the presence of SOV (lower than 5.0 mM), maximum growth of H. lacustris obtained was 2.4 × 10 5 cells/mL in MBBM medium at 24°C under continuous illumination (40 μE/m 2 /s) of white fluorescent light, with continuous aeration of CO2 (0.2 vvm). Total carotenoids accumulated per cell biomass unit treated with 2.5 mM SOV has approximately shown 2.5 folds higher than the control after short period of SOV induction time as 2 days, despite that cells were grown under normal light. Meanwhile, maximal astaxanthin production from H.lacustris was 10.7 mg/g biomass in MBBM with 5 days of continuous illumination at 40 μE/m 2 /s, which has been established as optimal light intensity for the control culture of H.lacustris. Treating algae H.lcustris with sodium orthovanadate showed promoting the accumulation of astaxanthin by advancing either the inhibition of dephosphorylation or synthesis of ATP. Its potential role of PTPases in microalgae G.lacustris is discussed

In this paper, we consider the Robin-Dirichlet problem for a nonlinear wave equation of Kirchhoff-Carrier type with a viscoelastic term. Using the Faedo-Galerkin method and the linearization method for nonlinear terms, the existence and uniqueness of a weak solution are proved. An asymptotic expansion of high order in a small parameter of a weak solution is also discussed.

The purpose of the research is to identify antecedents of mobile wallet continuance intention in Vietnam. A self-administered questionnaire was distributed to collect data from a total of 276 respondents. Partial least squares structural equation modeling was employed for analyzing the data. Five mobile wallet features - mobile application quality, mobile wallet familiarity, situational normality, payment security, and feedback mechanism - are introduced as fundamental elements, which influence customer' continuance intention to use mobile wallet in Vietnam. The results indicate that mobile quality application and familiarity can significantly influence perceived ease-of-use (PEOU) and perceived usefulness (PU), but situational normality has an impact only on PEOU. PEOU and PU are positively related to satisfaction. On the other hand, payment security and feedback mechanism affect positively customer' trust. As a result, the positive effects that satisfaction and trust have on electronic wallet continuance intention are confirmed. The findings can be used to advise mobile wallet providers to improve their platform design and services to retain users. As a theoretical contribution, this study combines the Technology Acceptance Model, Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology to investigate the key determinants on continuance intention in the context of electronic wallet in Vietnam.

This paper aims to discover factors and their influences degree to repurchase organic cosmetic in Vietnam. In addition, this research also discloses the main segments that have high demand re-buying intention based on demographic groups of gender, age, income, educational level, job, type of products, and place of production. Twenty-eight scale was designed based on previous studies and adjusted to match the 5-point Likert scale to conduct measurement. By using survey method to test hypotheses and set up conceptual models to collect 295 Vietnamese consumers who have experience in consuming organic cosmetic by explain the results through Smart PLS software. The findings show that there is positive attitude of customers to the intention of acquiring organic cosmetics, green perceived and customer satisfaction. In addition, customer satisfaction, knowledge of products, safety values, and environmental protection consciousness also play important roles to form a positive attitude of customers for products. Moreover, the consciousness of green living of consumers accounts for a high proportion in creating customer satisfaction for organic products. The results show useful information for current premises to determine the factors that influence the decision to repurchase organic cosmetic product, that provide business strategies.

This paper is devoted to the study of a nonlinear Kirchhoff-Carrier wave equation in an annulus associated with Robin-Dirichlet conditions. At first, by applying the Faedo-Galerkin method, we prove existence and uniqueness results. Then, by constructing a Lyapunov functional, we prove a blow up result for solutions with a negative initial energy and establish a sufficient condition to obtain the exponential decay of weak solutions.

The purpose of this study is to explore the link between job satisfaction and organizational commitment at higher education institutions (HEIs) in emerging countries such as Vietnam and to determine extrinsic work factors that influence job satisfaction. Higher education is critical for socio-economic growth and the overall development of each country. Hence, an understanding of what motivates employees’ actions and attitudes should be obtained before determining the extent of employee satisfaction. The conceptual model was developed by incorporating job satisfaction-related variables, their relationships, and the impact of job satisfaction on organizational commitment. An empirical study was conducted on a study sample of public and private universities, with 316 academics and non-academic employees surveyed. The current study employed the partial least squares structural equation modeling to test the proposed hypotheses. The results reveal a positive and significant relationship between job satisfaction and organizational commitment. The findings confirm that extrinsic work factors (job itself, supervision, working conditions, payment, and reward and recognition) have a positive and significant relationship with job satisfaction. Furthermore, the study indicates that employees at HEIs who have a high level of ability utilization and supervisor support are more likely to be satisfied with their jobs.
Static Analysis of Low Frequency Isolation Model Using Pneumatic Cylinder with Auxiliary Chamber
Ngoc Yen Phuong Vo,Thanh Danh Le 한국정밀공학회 2020 International Journal of Precision Engineering and Vol.21 No.4
In this paper, a novel low frequency isolation model (LFIM) which is built by integrating the wedge-roller-spring andcam-roller-spring mechanism is proposed. Due to the stiff ness opposite of two mechanisms, the LFIM can obtain the lowdynamic stiff ness, meaning that the system can obtain the desirable low resonant frequency. Instead of using mechanicalspring, in this study, the pneumatic cylinder with auxiliary chamber is considered as the air spring, thereby, the dynamicstiff ness of the proposed system can be easily adjusted as well as controlled to obtain the design equilibrium position andlow stiff ness at this position as the weight of the isolated load is changed. Furthermore, the proposed model can converteasily the passive model into semi-active one. By analysis solution, the pressure change process in air spring is obtained,a virtual model of the air spring is then built through Amesim software to verify the pressure mode in the air spring. Next, analyzing the eff ects of the basic working parameters on the dynamic stiff ness of LFIM is realized. Based on the analysissolution, the design procedure for LFIM to obtain the high static low dynamic stiff ness characteristic is suggested. Finally, the stability of the equilibrium positions is also investigated. This study result provides a useful solution for designing andanalyzing dynamic response of LFIM.

Efonidipine, a calcium channel blocker, is widely used for the treatment of hypertension and cardiovascular diseases. In our preliminary study using structure-based virtual screening, efonidipine was identified as a potential inhibitor of c-Jun N-terminal kinase 3 (JNK3). Although its antihypertensive effect is widely known, the role of efonidipine in the central nervous system has remained elusive. The present study investigated the effects of efonidipine on the inflammation and cell migration induced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) using murine BV2 and human HMC3 microglial cell lines and elucidated signaling molecules mediating its effects. We found that the phosphorylations of JNK and its downstream molecule c-Jun in LPS-treated BV2 cells were declined by efonidipine, confirming the finding from virtual screening. In addition, efonidipine inhibited the LPS-induced production of pro-inflammatory factors, including interleukin-1β (IL-1β) and nitric oxide. Similarly, the IL-1β production in LPS-treated HMC3 cells was also inhibited by efonidipine. Efonidipine markedly impeded cell migration stimulated by LPS in both cells. Furthermore, it inhibited the phosphorylation of inhibitor kappa B, thereby suppressing nuclear translocation of nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) in LPS-treated BV2 cells. Taken together, efonidipine exerts anti-inflammatory and anti-migratory effects in LPS-treated microglial cells through inhibition of the JNK/NF-κB pathway. These findings imply that efonidipine may be a potential candidate for drug repositioning, with beneficial impacts on brain disorders associated with neuroinflammation.
