The rapid upsurge in the use of information technology in all facets of life suggests a suitable approach to outreach as the times change. White’s (1970:70) inspired counsel that “God``s people must awake to the necessities of the time in which they are living” is germane. Although she wrote this for and to the church, it is factual that the Seventh-day Adventist church in Nigeria has not yet harnessed the potential of the internet even amidst its ubiquity. Therefore, this research was carried out to advocate the inclusion of the internet as an approach for evangelism in Nigeria. It was found that though harnessing this approach may seem difficult, it has tremendous benefits if fully utilized. Consequently, this research examined the use of the internet as an outreach method. It explained various ways by which the church in Nigeria can use the internet as an evangelistic approach and outlined the benefits to this approach.

Purpose: Several tools are available to assess the quality of life for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders in Indian languages. However, limited tools are present to assess the quality of life of dysarthria. So, the present study aims to translate and validate the Quality of Life in the Dysarthric Speaker (QoL-DyS) questionnaire into the Telugu language. Methods: A total of 30 different types of dysarthria and 30 age-matched controls participated in the present study. The QoL-DyS tool was trans-adapted in the Telugu language using a standardized procedure and administered to the participants. The internal consistency, test-retest reliability, construct validity, scale statistics, and item statistics were computed. Results: The present study revealed that the developed tool has good (i.e., 0.81) overall internal consistency and excellent (i.e., 0.92) test-retest reliability. The significant difference (i.e., p<0.05) was found between the experimental and control group. Conclusions: From the present study, we can conclude that the Telugu QOL-DyS is a reliable tool. It is applicable in clinical practice for the self-assessment of the quality of life in dysarthric speakers. Hence, the Telugu QOL-DyS is recommended in clinical practice, and there is a need to develop QoL-DyS in other Indian languages.

Raw white rice has not been considered a good carrier for oral vaccination, probably because of its antiviral activity. Methods are required to overcome antiviral activity in raw white rice. This study was carried out to determine the effects of various treatments of raw white rice on the survival of strain I-2 of Newcastle disease virus. These included cooking and baking the rice or mixing the rice with vegetable oil prior to coating with vaccine virus. The vaccine-coated rice was then stored for 30 min and 24 h, followed by quantitative recovery of the virus. Thirty min after mixing, uncooked, cooked, and baked rice, and rice mixed with vegetable oil showed titers of 106.2, 107.2, 106.6, and 107.0 EID50/0.1 ml, respectively. After storage for 24 h at 22-25oC, the titers dropped to 105.0, 106.5, 105.0, and 106.0 EID50/0.1 ml for uncooked, cooked, baked, and oiled rice, respectively.
Cryptoanalysis of a Pairing-free Certificateless Signcryption Scheme

Signcryption is a very useful cryptographic primitive that aims to achieve authentication and confidentiality and in an efficient manner. We cryptanalyze the signcryption scheme of Luo and Ma (2019) which is claimed to be secure. Further, we propose a corresponding modification to show how their signcryption scheme can be made more secure in our proposed signcryption scheme. The security analysis is also applicable to other signcryption schemes with similar design.
The Challenges of Cohabitation among Selected Seventh-Day Adventists in West and Central Africa
( Amanze Philemon O ),( Amponsah Emmanuel B ),( Boateng Peter Agyekum ),( Ikonne Chinyere Nkechi ) 글로벌기독교세계관학회 2012 학문과기독교세계관 Vol.6 No.-
The phenomenon of cohabitation is not new in the world and for that matter in Africa, although societies generally frown on its practice. It appears to have permeated every corner in society, displacing the original ideal for marriage. There was therefore the need to look at the challenges posed by cohabitation to the Seventh-day Adventist Church within the West and Central Africa region, and how it could be mitigated. Survey questionnaire was used to sample 36 ministers of the Church from the region. The collected data were analyzed via descriptive statistics, hierarchical factor analysis, and deductive reasoning. The study revealed that cohabitation is a threat to Seventh-day Adventism in the region. The main causes identified are as follows: (1) permissiveness of and encouragement from society, (2) unconverted hearts of some Church members, (3) lower moral standards, (4) unpreparedness of cohabitants for the commitments or responsibilities of marriage, (5) higher poverty levels, (6) influence by family and friends, (7) expensive doweries demanded by parents, (8) expensive nature of weddings, and (9) lower levels of education. With the implementation of the recommendations herein suggested, it is strongly believed that the problems identified may be surmounted. Local church leadership may be enlightened to deal with the problems in a practical and sustainable way.

Successive alkalinity-producing systems (SAPSs) is a key unit process in the passive treatment of acidic mine drainage. Physico-chemistry and pyrosequencing-based bacterial communities of two passive treatment processes in Gapjung (GJ) and Seokbong (SB) were analyzed. The influent of SB harbored higher levels of acidity and metals than that of GJ. SAPS-SB demonstrated better performance of acidity neutralization and metal removal than SAPS-GJ, despite its shorter hydraulic retention time and higher acidity. System diagnosis revealed that the capacities of SAPSs were not well predicted in the design steps. Bacterial diversity indices and composition were compared at the same sequence read number for fair evaluation. Most of the bacterial sequences were affiliated with uncultured species. A notable difference was observed in the bacterial community compositions of the SAPSs in GJ and SB. Classes of putative sulfate-reducing bacteria, Clostridia (8.3 %) and Deltaproteobacteria (6.1 %), were detected in SAPS-GJ, and Clostridia (14.6 %) was detected in SAPS-SB. Bacilli, which is not a known sulfate-reducing bacterial group, was the second largest class (12.8 %) in SAPS-GJ and the largest class (51.1 %) in SAPS-SB, suggesting that Bacilli may have a prominent role in SAPS. One hundred ninety operational taxonomic units were shared, which occupied ~10 % of each number of total operational taxonomic units in SAPS-GJ and SAPS-SB, respectively. Bacilli and Clostridia were the major shared classes, and Bacillus, Lysinibacillus, and Ureibacillus were the major shared genera. Rarefaction analysis, richness estimates, diversity estimates, and abundance rank analysis show that the sediment bacterial community of SAPS-GJ was more diverse and more evenly distributed than that of SAPS-SB.

Distributed generation (DG) is being highlighted as an alternative for future power supplies, and the number of DG systems connected to conventional power systems is steadily increasing. DG generators are designed using power electronics and can give rise to various power quality problems, such as overvoltage or overcurrent. Particularly, unintentional islanding operation can occur in a conventional power system when the power grid is separated from the DG systems. Overvoltage may occur in this situation, depending on the power generation and power consumption. However, overvoltage phenomena might not happen even when islanding occurs. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the fault characteristics during islanding. In this study, a fault analysis of islanding operation was carried out using PSCAD/EMTDC, and a countermeasure for the overvoltage problem is proposed.
