Osteopetrosis (Albers - Schonberg disease) is a rare disease characterized by generaized sclerosis of bones, hepatoslenomegaly, pancytopenia, multiple fracture, blindness. The disease shows characteristic radiographic feature and two rather well - defined pattern have been recognized. We experienced a case of osteopetrosis in a 31 year old man, who has had pus discharge and fetid odor after extraction of upper maxillary molar. We made a brief review of literature.

Sturge - Weber Syndrome is a congenital disorder and characterized by facial hemangioma following one or more divisions of the trigeminal nerve, epilepsy, mental retardation, contralateral hemiplegia, occlualr involvement, gingival involvement. A 34 year old Korean man, a 25 year old Korean Woman and a 48 year old Korean woman were found to have red - purple colored pigmentation on the hemifacial area and upper oral mucosal area.

In this paper, we show that the G-equivalence classes ofthe projective tensors are in one-to-one correspondence with thePGL(3)-equivalence classes of unordered configurations of sixpoints on the projective plane.
Fatigue characteristics of dual-phase steel sheets

Fatigue characteristics of dual-phase steel sheets, commonly used in automobile body construction were established. For this purpose,a series of fatigue tests, each at constant stress amplitude were conducted on 1.2 mm-thick, dual-phase DP600 steel sheet specimens withtwo different load ratios of minimum-to-maximum stress, R = 0.1 and -1. The resulting fatigue behavior is expressed in terms of fatiguestrength-life (S-N) curves. Fatigue behavior of the steel sheets in the high-cycle fatigue region can be represented by Basquin’s equationwith coefficient and exponent value of 921.2 and 0.093, respectively. An endurance limit of 255 MPa is observed. In addition, fatiguestrengths of the dual-phase steel sheets display lower magnitude than their bulk counterparts. Effect of mean stress on fatigue behavior ofthe steel sheets is well predicted by Walker’s model. Exponential calibration factor is introduced to the models by SWT, Goodman andMorrow with comparable prediction to the Walker’s model.
First Strike Hypersonic Weapons: The End of the “MAD” Doctrine and Peace for Our Time?

Since the conclusion of the Second World War, the world's great powers (i.e., the United States, Russia, and China) have been locked in an escalating race to develop the next game-changing weapon. The pivotal weapon examined in this paper is hypersonics. The desire to master hypersonic weaponry is particularly strong amongst the “lesser powers” or “Davids” (e.g., Iran and North Korea), as they hold the belief that hypersonics are the “Assassin's Mace” that will grant them the critical first strike advantage against the militarily superior great powers. This study examines the intensifying “hypersonics arms race” between these nations and more importantly, the potential of this increasingly contentious rivalry to destabilize the tenuous world peace purportedly effected by the “Mutual Assured Destruction” (“MAD”) doctrine. Even if this “hypersonics arms race” does not lead to another global conflict, it does serve to flame regional tensions in the Middle East and Northeast Asia, ultimately setting the scene for proxy wars, as the great powers could ply their respective allies with hypersonics technology, with the aim of furthering their own strategic agendas.

LED 조명기구의 광학적, 기구적 설계의 최적화 방안이 여러 가지로 논의 되고 있는 가운데, 본 연구에서는 LED 조명기구 중에서도 점차 활용에 대한 시도가 증가하고 있는 LED 가로등의 적절한 배광을 달성하기 위한 광학 설계를 하였다. 그리고 Lens와 Reflector의 결합이 아닌 Reflector만을 이용한 배광 제어 설계 방법을 제시 하였다. LED 가로등 모듈의 설계는 Photopia를 사용하였고, 도로 적용 시뮬레이션은 Relux를 이용하여 설계결과에 대한 성능을 검증하였다.
