        입상활성탄에 의한 Cu, Zn, Cd 이온의 흡착 특성

        In this work, the characterization of adsorption of Cu, Zn and Cd on granular activated carbon in water has been studied. The factors that affect adsorption in boundary between activated carbon and wastewater are concentration, temperature, contact time, pH and so on. As the result of this study, the maximum adsorption amount of Cu occurred near pH 7, while that of Zn and Cd was near pH 9.6 and 10, respectively. As contact time and temperature are transformed, such factors as optimum contact time and temperature are taken into consideration in an adsorptive process of heavy metal because an adsorption and a reducing process occur. In isotherm of Freundlich, 1/n values of Cu, Cd capacity were between 0.16 and 0.5.

        병원간호사의 병원정보시스템 활용정도에 영향을 미치는 요인

        Purpose: This study was to identify the factors affecting utilization of clinical nurses' hospital information system. Method: Using a convenient sampling, 450 nurses from 9 secondary or tertiary university hospitals in B metropolitan city were selected. Results: The extent that nurses utilize the hospital information system was 3.22 point on average. The hospital information system utilization was positively correlated with personal information utilization skill, information-oriented education, attitude toward computer, and support of the chief manager, while was negatively correlated with the organizational atmosphere. The causal factors of influencing on the hospital information system utilization were personal information technology, education experience of the hospital information system, age, attitude toward computers, education level and support of the chief manager. The total eigenvalue of the variables was 38%. The major variables of influencing on the hospital information system utilization were the personal information technology and education experience of the hospital information system. Conclusions: Thus, nurse managers should provide training courses to improve personal information technology of nurses, and consistently promote them so that nurses can readily apply the hospital information system which have been recently introduced in various ways and thus improve the efficiency of nursing.

      • Spermine에 의한 흰쥐 복강 비만세포의 히스타민 유리와 Camp, Cgmp 수준변동에 미치는 상백피의 효과

        Cortex Mori(Morus alba L.), the root bark of mulberry tree, has been used as an antiphlogistic, diuretic, and expectorant in Korean herbal medicine. Previous studies demonstrated that phenolic extract of Cortex Mori has a hypotensive effect in rabbits and hot water extract of Cortex Mori has an inhibitory effects on spermine and compound 48/80-induced mast cell degranulation and histamine release from rat peritoneal mast cells(RPMC). The purpose of this study is to determine whether Cortex Mori could affect the intracellular levels of cAMP and cGMP of RPMC by spermine which has been known as activators to increase cytoplasmic Ca" concentration by stimulating transmembrane Cat+ transport and mobilizing intracellular calcium, and release histamine from RPMC ultimately. Morphological changes of RPMC by spermine alone or Cortex Mori plus spermine were observed on the inverted light microscope. Various doses of spermine(10, 5, 1, 0.5, 0.1mM) were added into RPMC suspension (106cells/ml) pretreated with or without various doses of Cortex Mori(100, 50, 10, 5, lmg/ml) at 37°C for 10 minutes. After incubation, the amount of hitamine in supernatant, intracellular cAMP, and cGMP levels of RPMC were measured by radioisotope enzymatic histamine assay, cAMP and cGMP radioimmunoassays. Results were 1) the spermine(lOmM)-induced degranulation and histamine release from RPMC pretreated with Cortex Mori were significantly inhibited, compared to those of control without Cortex Mori pretreatment, 2) the cAMP and cGMP levels of unstimulated RPMC were 17.5 ± 1.9 and 120 x 10-3± 20 pmols, respectively, 3) after the addition of the spermine, the intracellular levels of cAMP were decreased and those of cGMP were increased, 4) dose dependent fashions of cAMP and cGMP levels of RPMC were induced by increased concentrations of spermine, 5) Cortex Mori increased the cAMP levels(200.0± 11.4%) and decreased the cGMP levels (22.5±4.2%) of RPMC remarkably, compared to those of normal control, and 6) the spermine-induced cAMP levels of RPMC pretreated with Cortex Mori weresignificantly increased, compared to those of positive control without Cortex Mori pretreatment and the spermine-induced cGMP levels of RPMC pretreated with Cortex Mori were remarkably decreased, compared to those of positive control without Cortex Mori pretreatment. From the above results, it is suggested that Cortex Mori contains some substances to inhibit the spermineinduced mast cell activation so as mast cell degranulation, histamine release, and that its inhibitory effect may occure via specific mechanisms of increasing of intracellular cAMP levels or blocking of increasing of intracellular cGMP levels.

        This paper presents a semi-active ER(electro-rheology) damper for vibration isolation of various types of vehicle. The Bingham properties of the ER fluids are first identified as a function of electric field and an appropriate size of the ER damper is manufactured on the basis of the level of the field-dependant yield shear stress. The damping forces of the ER damper is evaluated with respected to the intensity of the electric field as well as the number of operating cycle.

        급성 주정 중독 흰쥐에서 간의 Aryl sulfotransferase and UDP-Glucuronosyltransferase 활성에 미치는 총담관 결찰의 영향

        The activities of aryl sulfotransferase (AST) isozymes Ⅰ-Ⅱand Ⅲ-Ⅳand UDP-glucuronosyltransferase (UDP-GT) were measured in rats with acute ethanol intoxication after common bile duct(CBD) ligation to investigate the adverse effects of alcohol ingestion to the liver under the hepatobiliary disease. Serum AST Ⅰ-Ⅱ and AST Ⅲ-Ⅳ activities in CBD ligated rats combined with acute ethanol intoxication showed greater increases than that in CBD ligation alone. These results indicate that the leak of hepatic AST isozymes into blood is facilitated in CBD ligated rats combined with acute ethanol intoxication than in CBD ligation alone due to aggravated hepatic membrane damage. Liver mitochondrial AST Ⅰ-Ⅱ and AST Ⅲ-Ⅳ activities in CBD ligated rats combined with acute ethanol intoxication showed less increases than that in CBD ligation alone. However, liver microsomal UDP-GT activity in CBD ligated rats combined with acute ethanol intoxication showed a more decrease than that in CBD ligation alone. On the other hand, when acute ethanol intoxication was combined with CBD ligation, the values of Vmax of the liver mitochondrial AST Ⅰ-Ⅱ, AST Ⅲ-Ⅳ and liver microsomal UDP-GT decreased significantly than that in CBD ligation alone. However, the values of Km of above hepatic enzymes did not change. Viewed from these results, when acute ethanol intoxication was combined with cholestasis, these enzymes in the liver seem to be decreases their biosynthesis than that in cholestasis. According to all of the results, if ethanol intoxication is combined with cholestasis, the hepatic damage is aggravated.

        In this study, deformations and stresses of aluminum alloy piston at 1600cc gasoline engine of passenger cars during high speed driving(3000rpm) is analyzed by the 2-dimensional elasto-plastic theorem using finite element method(FEM). Thermal deformations and stresses are considered temperature gradient and firing pressure at a time. The results obtained in this study are summurrized as follows. In distortion analysis of piston head, maximum deformation was shown in the ring groove of the piston head by temperature gradient, and accuracy disproportion was 1% in the radial direction but 60% in the axial direction. In the thermal stress analysis due to temperature gradient and firing pressure, maximum atress was occurred in the inner comer of the piston, and stresses were distributed from 24 ~ 28MPa to -28 ~ -32MPa. But plastic-deformations were not occurred.

        The laboratory quench method used in this study is based on plunging a silver cylinder heated to 800±1℃ into mineral base oils at given temperature. Experimental apparatus and measuring method followed the Korean Industrial Standard. Cooling curves at the boundary of the shape of cylinderical type measured by a silver-alumel thermocouple is recorded throughout the quenching period. Using the cooling curves, the collingability of the quenching oils at a various temperrature were compared and discussed.

        금형의 자동 계측시스템을 위한 측정 모듈설계 및 시뮬레이션 소프트웨어 개발

        On-machine automatic measuring system of Numerically control(NC) machines permit computer control of basic material cutting processes of moulds. A part of mould designed within a CAD/CAM system can be manufactured by generation of tool paths by the measuring systems. Since the three-dimensional geometry by AutoCAD of the part is contained in the data base, the manufacturing specialist, combined with the appropriate software simulation, can not only create the commands to drive the virtual measuring and standardization of measuring modules but also can check for mistakes by viewing the computer graphics simulation of the tool cutting sequence.
