      • A sub-1-volt nanoelectromechanical switching device.

        <P>Nanoelectromechanical (NEM) switches have received widespread attention as promising candidates in the drive to surmount the physical limitations currently faced by complementary metal oxide semiconductor technology. The NEM switch has demonstrated superior characteristics including quasi-zero leakage behaviour, excellent density capability and operation in harsh environments. However, an unacceptably high operating voltage (4-20 V) has posed a major obstacle in the practical use of the NEM switch in low-power integrated circuits. To utilize the NEM switch widely as a core device component in ultralow power applications, the operation voltage needs to be reduced to 1 V or below. However, sub-1 V actuation has not yet been demonstrated because of fabrication difficulties and irreversible switching failure caused by surface adhesion. Here, we report the sub-1 V operation of a NEM switch through the introduction of a novel pipe clip device structure and an effective air gap fabrication technique. This achievement is primarily attributed to the incorporation of a 4-nm-thick air gap, which is the smallest reported so far for a NEM switch generated using a 'top-down' approach. Our structure and process can potentially be utilized in various nanogap-related applications, including NEM switch-based ultralow-power integrated circuits, NEM resonators, nanogap electrodes for scientific research and sensors.</P>

        Antinociceptive Effect of Glyasperin F Isolated from Glycyrrhiza inflata in Mice

        Antinociceptive effect of glyasperin F isolated from Glycyrrhiza inflata extract (GIE) in ICR mice was studied. Oral administration of GIE (1−100 mg/kg) caused a dose-dependent reduction in acetic acid-induced writhing responses. To identify the active antinociceptive compound from the GIE, sub-fractions were obtained from the EtOAc layer of GIE by using a medium pressure liquid chromatography. From the sub-fractions obtained,the sub-fraction, which, when administered orally (10 mg/kg)showed an antinociceptive effect in both the writhing test and second phase of the formalin test was identified as glyasperin F using NMR and MS analyses. Finally, the antinociceptive effect of glyasperin F in mouse models of pain was confirmed. Orally administered glyasperin F (0.1–10mg/kg) showed a dose-dependent antinociceptive effect in both the writhing test and second phase of the formalin test. Taken together, glyasperin F isolated from the GIE may be used as a leading compound for further studies on pain and as a new drug derived from natural products for pain therapy.

        조리종사자의 식자재구매시스템 인지와 비재무적 성과의 영향 관계

        This study aims to analyze how the perception of a food purchasing system affects non-financial performance and job satisfaction among the kitchen employees of contract foodservice companies in Taegu·Gyeongbuk area. By a convenience method, 197 copies(85%) out of 230 copies of the questionnaire were used for analysis. For data processing, the SPSS WIN Version 14.0 statistical package program was used and the frequency analysis reliability analysis, factor analysis were conducted so the hypothesis was verified through the multiple regression analysis. The results are as follows: First, the perception of a food purchasing system affected job satisfaction as a whole, which was significant in food ingredients management factors of sub-hypothesis1-2. Second, the perception of a food purchasing system affected non-financial management performance, which was significant in food ingredients management factors of sub-hypothesis2-2, and food ingredients supply and demand factors of sub-hypothesis2-3. Third, job satisfaction affected non-financial management performance of a company as suggested by hypothesis 3. From these results, it was found that kitchen employees` perception of a food purchasing system can induce their positive attitude, which exerts positive effects on business performance.

      • 주거형태에 따른 일반인의 환경의식 행태에 관한 연구

        The result of the study and analysis on the formation and the mutual relation of environmental consciousness followed by residential forms are as bellows; The ratios of the subjects of this study for each gender are ; 68.1% of male and 31.9% of female. And the group of aged thirty to thirty-nine occupied 33.2% as the majority. Each residential group comes up to 65.0% of using washstand when they wash their faces and hands. While being in the kitchen, 55% of individual housing residents and 61.8% of tenement housing residents are using basins, and the ratios are occupied very highly. 52.5% of discharged water which is accrued from the rice-wash is used for flower gardens and dish washing, and the ratio of direct discharging the water comes up to a very high ratio regardless the residential forms. 33.2% of the subjects of this study do car washes, and the residents living in the tenement housings and apartments do more car washes than the residents living in the individual housings do. 51% of the subjects or this study do warm-ups of the automobiles and apartment residents highly grasp the warm-up ratio while individual housing residents showed lesser warm-ups. 57.2% of the subjects of this say, they do not know well about the greenhouse gas and the tenement residents occupied high ratio. 10% of individual housing residents do not recycle garbage and this group grasps the highest rate. 57.6% of the entire subjects of this study do separate discharge of the rubbish but 61.8% of the individual residents do not separate discharge.

      • 急ㆍ慢性 膽囊炎 患者의 膽囊內膽汁의 細菌學的 硏究

        In general, acute and chronic cholecystitis, the pathogenesis is still not completely understood, seems to be related to four factors, obstruction, ischemia, chemical injury and bacterial invasion due to chiefly biliary stones (90-95%), and serous systemic disorders, major injuries (trauma and operation), congenital abnormalities and other bad physical conditions³). Above all the presense of organisms are responsible nat noly for the development of acute cholecystitis but also for the postoperative complications and mortality^5). About 5 per cent (about 20 per cent in the United States)^1), of surgical patient have been entered in this hospital for surgery of the biliary tract because of acute and chronic cholecystitis. In spite of that microorganisms in the biliary tract has recently not been studied in this country as well as other countries^6). The purpose of this investigation was to asses the incidence of organisms from the gallbladder bile of the patients with acute and chronic cholecystitis by utilization of standardized methods of aerobic and anaerobic cultures. Seventy eight consecutive patients with acute and chronic cholecystitis underwent cholecystectomy during the two years and nine months between january 1981 and september 1983 were studied and also correlate the presence of bateria cultured from gallbladder bile with leukocytes and several items of important liver function test. Ten consecutive with other diseases has been utilized as control group. The results are summarised as follows. 1. Of these 88 patients, 42 patents (54%) are female and 36 patients (46) are male. 2. Reference to the table reveals that 6 of the 47 gallbladder bile, or 12. 8 per cent, were cultured anaerobic organisms and 61 of the 78 gallblader bile, or 78.2 per cent were cultured aerobically 3. Of 10 gallbladder bile, control group, one had positive culture which revealed Escherichia 4. The organisms obtained from anaerobic cultures were two cases of Bacteroides fragilis 33.3%, two cases of Fusobactrium symbiosum, a Bacteroides asaccharolyticus and a Clostrium gtridiforme (16.7%), respectively. 5. The oganisms obtained from aerobic cultures were 32 cases (45. 1%) of Escherihia coli, 19 case (26.8%) of Klebsiella species, 6 cases (8.5%) of Enterobacter species, 5 cases (7. 1%) of proteus species, 3 cases (4.2%) of Citrobacter species, 2 cases (2.8%) of Salmonella typhi and the others were one of Providencia rettgeri, Aeromonas hydrophilia, Acinetobacter calcoaceticus, taphylococcus aureus, respectively. 6. The mean value of leukocytes of aerobic group was 12.461/mm³obvious difference compared to control group which was statistically significant with a p<0.05. 7. Both mean value of SGPT, SGPT and albumin of anaerobic group were P<0.05, respectively, d SGOT and albumin of aerobic group were a p<0.01, respectively, and total bilirubin was a P<0.05 those were statistically significant value.

And also a lot of studies about minimizing the cost and properly updating softwares in time is carried out. COM(Component Object Model) is recently one of the software development methodology In many case, ODBC(Open Database Connectivity) drivers are used in web database design. But some problems cannot be solved by the ODBC. These problems can be solved by COM which is the concept of the component. We approached to the web database access using COM, In this paper we provide detailed interface modeling of web database. The interface modeling provided consists of COM Client. Web server, Com Server and can show the client the result of what he want to insert by SQL statements.

        CPT column을 이용한 석탄 품위향상 기술 연구

        Development of commercial technology for expansion in domestic anthracite coal utilization is urgent due to the mass reserves of low grade anthracite in Korea. Therefore, a series of experiments were conducted in this study to resolve this problem using CPT column in order to check the possibility of high-quality production for the fine coal that is impossible to treat by dry separation method. Particle size analysis was conducted for the sample using disk mill and vibro screen, and preliminary experiment was conducted for +100 mesh of the product obtained through this process by batch flotation(Sub-A type). Comparison experiment was conducted for -100 mesh and 100 × 325 mesh by each factor-specific condition applying to CPT Column. The result of CPT column flotation by using the proper reagent confirmed through batch flotation was ash rejection 83.15% and recovery 91.44% under the conditions of pulp density 5%, frother temperature 26°C, Kerosene collector (200mL/ton), Pine oil frother (1L./ton), Lime depressant (3kg/ton), air flow rate (1,400mL/ton) and wash water (300mL/ton).

      • Purge & Trap-GC를 이용한 의약품 필름코팅 정제 중 잔류용제에 관한 연구

        의약품은 약물을 생체에 적풋하기 위하여 유효성분의 효과가 언제나 일정하게 확보되고 사응에 편리하도록 만들어지는 것이므로 유효썽분 이외에 약효에 영향을 주지 않는 성분이 첨가되는 경운가 많다. 이 때 사용되는 용매들은 제피의 광택 및 건쪼시간의 단축 등을 위하여 휘발점이 낮을 용매들이 주로 사용되어진다. 본 연구는 의약품 필름코팅정제 중 잔류용매 4종(chlorofonr benzen, trichloro ethylen, 1,4-dioxane)에 대한 변형된 pirge & trap-GC 장치를 이용한 동시분석방법을 개발하였으며, 각 표준품의 RSD 값은 chloroform 3.03%, benzen 3.17%, trichloroethylen 3.69% and 1,4-dioxane 3.41%였다. 또한 시중 유통중인 의약품 50종에 대하여 잔류웅매 양을 측정하였으며, 검출되는 잔류용매는 한 건도 없었다. This study nras carried out to develope the analytical method for the mixture of chlorefonn, benzen, trichloroethylen and 1,4-dioxane simultaneously and determine the remainingorgauic solvents in coating tablets by Purge & Trap-GC. The results were as follouFs ; 1. Chloroform, benzen, trio:tloroethylen and 1,4-dioxane separated by tenax #5 trap by HP-624GC column by terrlperature programming. The peaks were separated completely at retentiontime of 6.88min for chloroform, 8.21min for benzen, 10.38miu for trichloroethylen and 11.95minfor 1,4-dioxane. 2. Standard RSD were individually chloroform 3.03%, benzen 3.17%, trichloroethylen 3.69%and 1,4-diorane 3.41%. 3. 60 samples were not detrcted chloroform, benzen, trichloroethylen and 1,4-dioxane.

        Sodium butyrate has context-dependent actions on dipeptidyl peptidase-4 and other metabolic parameters

        Sodium butyrate (SB) has various metabolic actions. However, its effect on dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP-4) needs to be studied further. We aimed to evaluate the metabolic actions of SB, considering its physiologically relevant concentration. We evaluated the effect of SB on regulation of DPP-4 and its other metabolic actions, both in vitro (HepG2 cells and mouse mesangial cells) and in vivo (high fat diet [HFD]-induced obese mice). Ten-week HFD-induced obese C57BL/6J mice were subjected to SB treatment by adding SB to HFD which was maintained for an additional 16 weeks. In HepG2 cells, SB suppressed DPP-4 activity and expression at sub-molar concentrations, whereas it increased DPP-4 activity at a concentration of $1,000{\mu}M$. In HFD-induced obese mice, SB decreased blood glucose, serum levels of insulin and $IL-1{\beta}$, and DPP-4 activity, and suppressed the increase in body weight. On the contrary, various tissues including liver, kidney, and peripheral blood cells showed variable responses of DPP-4 to SB. Especially in the kidney, although DPP-4 activity was decreased by SB in HFD-induced obese mice, it caused an increase in mRNA expression of $TNF-{\alpha}$, IL-6, and $IL-1{\beta}$. The pro-inflammatory actions of SB in the kidney of HFD-induced obese mice were recapitulated by cultured mesangial cell experiments, in which SB stimulated the secretion of several cytokines from cells. Our results showed that SB has differential actions according to its treatment dose and the type of cells and tissues. Thus, further studies are required to evaluate its therapeutic relevance in metabolic diseases including diabetes and obesity.
