This paper proposes an discharge lamp inverter having high power factor and high efficiency. The discharge lamp inverter was consists of a power factor correction circuit and a resonant inverter. Instead of passive power factor circuit, active power factor circuit is adopted. Because it has the advantage of size, weight, total harmonic distortion, output DC voltage regulation and power factor correction. The power factor correction circuit using MG34262 is controlled by variable frequency discontinuous mode. Experiments are performed for driving fluorescent lamps to verify the proposed electronic ballast's operation and characteristics.

Two subjects, Science teaching method and Study of the subject matters, are established to let students have the ability to teach the elementary science. It is an overwthelming view that Science teaching method course are merely divided into the above-mentioned two subjects by the elevation from the junior college to the senior one. But the authors discussed this theme on the junior college to the senior one. But the authors discussed this theme on the viewpoint that Study of the subject matters, newly established, is the result reflecting the significance of the elevation, not just the division of Science teaching method course inaugurated in the junior college period. The subject matters in the elementary school should include the fundamental concepts to attain the goal of the subject. That is, the subject matters should include the learning contents with the educational significance. Therefore, Study of the subject matters is defined as studying what these contents may signify educationally. From these points of view, Study of the subject matters is: 1) the study intended for the subject matters of the elementary school. That is ① what the fundamental concepts are, ② how they are related each other, ③ what their educational significance is. 2) to study the educational significance of the other subject contents. 3) a study for establishing the pertinent goal and selecting the subject matters to attain this goal when the educational conditions, such as the actual state and environment of children, are given. The authors discussed about article 1) in this paper.

Background : In recent years, gonorrhea has been panedemic and remains one of the most commom STDs in the world, especially in developing countries. Objective & Methods: For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of PPNG, we have been trying to study the patients who have visited the VD Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by means of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. Results: In 1996, 139 strains of N. gonorrhoeae were isolated, among which 53(39.0%) were PPNG. Conclusion: Our results suggests that after a peak of 74.3% in 1993, the prevalence of PPNG in Seoul is gradually declining.
Modeling of Low-Energy Ion Implantation Process by Molecular Dynamics (MD) Approach

In this paper, we report a molecular dynamics (MD) simulation of ion implantation for nano-scale devices with ultra-shallow junctions. In order to model the prole of ion distribution in nanometer scale, molecular dynamics with a recoil ion approximation is employed while the Kinetic Monte Carlo (KMC) diusion model is used for the dynamic annealing between cascades. The calculation is performed for B with energies down to 100 eV and dose 1 1014 ions/cm2. The B and As implant is simulated with energies of 0.5, 1, 2, 4, 8, and 16 keV and with dose of 1 1014 ions/cm2 into Si <100>, respectively. Then, we consider the experimental data for B implant with energy of 2 keV, doses of 1 1014 ions/cm2 and 1 1015 ions/cm2, and dose rate of 1 1012 ions/cm2sec, both with and without taking dynamic annealing into account.

Four Years Reports of "Journal of Korean Neuropsychiatric Association" during 2001 to 2005 were evaluated by 18 Editorial Board of Korean Neuropsychiatric Association. We investigated the articles to specific fields and rejection rate etc. by different section chiefs. Although several problems concerning review time duration and rejection guideline issues indicated but generally all reviewer processes proved relatively clear and concise criteria. Through these objective and systematic evaluation Processes, "Journal of Korean Neuropsychiatric Association" will develop a good journal.

In this paper, we present our results on molecular dynamics (MD) simulation for modeling the ion implantation process for nano-scale devices with ultra-shallow junctions. In order to model the prole of defects as well as the ions in nanometer scale, molecular dynamics with a recoil ion approximation was employed, while the Kinetic Monte Carlo (KMC) diusion model was used for modeling the dynamic annealing process between cascades. The calculation was performed for B atoms with implantation energies down to 1 keV, a dose of 1 1015 ions/cm2, and a dose rate of 1 1012 ions/cm2sec. The simulated boron proles were compared with the results calculated from UT-MARLOWE code as well as the experimental SIMS data. The eect of dynamic annealing was also thoroughly investigated for the boron implantation process, for instance in a case with ion implantation energy of 2 keV, the doses of 1 1014 ions/cm2 and 1 1015 ions/cm2, and a dose rate of 1 1012 ions/cm2sec.

우리나라 中部地方에 一般的으로 發達되어 있는 山麓型浸飾面에는 1~2m 두께의 엷은 堆積物이 被覆되어 있다. 本 硏究에서는 이들의 堆積環境을 보다 明白히 하고 또한 이들을 他堆積物로부터 區分할 수 있는 係數的 基準을 設定하고자 했다. 이를 爲한 試圖로 于先 筆者에 依해 이미 硏究되어진바 있는 太白山地東麓末瑞部 20~70m高度에 發達한 北坪周邊低位浸飾의 被覆 堆積物을 分析, 考????했다. 이를 爲해 構成物質을 Sieving에 依해 粒徑分析했다. 그리고 各粒徑區間別分布를 直接 反影하는 histogran 및 이것에서 算出된 Phi(Φ) scale의 平均粒徑, 分級係數, 歪率, 尖率等의 媒介變數들을 바탕으로 지난번 연구결과와 綜合하여 堆積環境을 推定했다. 또한 他堆積物로부터 本 浸飾面에 被覆 堆積物이 區分되어질 수 있는 係數的基準을 設定키 爲해 北平一帶의 箭川范濫原과 海濱의 堆積物도 아울러 粒徑分析하여 比較·考????했다. 以上에서 얻은 結論은 다음과 같다. 1. 北坪周邊의 低位浸飾面에서 採取한 試料들은 Phi(Φ) scale의 全粒徑區間에 걸쳐 比較的 均等한 分布를 보인다. 이와같이 分級狀態가 不良한 粒徑分布는 亂流性流水와 關聯된다. 이점은 筆者의 지난번 연구에서 言及되어진 바 本堆積物이 亂流性流水에 依해 運搬, 被覆되었다는 假說的 推論과 一致된다. 또한 本堆積物의 構成物質들을 이것이 被覆되어 있는 浸飾地形面의 背後山地에서 運搬되어 왔다고 報告된 点까지 勘案하면, 이들은 亂流性流水를 隨伴한 mass-movement過程에서 被覆됐음을 推定케 한다. 이와같은 mass-movement는 現在 우리나라와 같은 濕潤氣候地域에서는 나타나지 않고 亞乾操地域이나 周氷河地域의 山麓緩斜面에서 잘 나타나는 現象이다. 따라서 北平周邊 低位浸飾面에 被覆되어 있는 堆積物을 지난 第四紀洪積世에 大陸氷河의 成長과 後退에 따른 氣候變動의 結果, 亞乾操나 周氷河的인 氣候地形環境河에서 形成된 化石的 殘滓로 看做된다. 2. 上記 浸飾地形面의 被覆堆積物에서 採取한 試料들은 分級係數와 尖度에 依해 河川과 海濱의 것으로부터 區分되어진다. 反面, 浸飾面과 河川의 堆積物은 Phi(Φ) scale의 平均値와 歪度로는 明確히 區分되지 않으므로, 이들은 上記 浸飾地形面의 堆積物을 係數的으로 規定지을 수 있는 媒介變數가 못된다. 3. 媒介變數間의 關係를 点으로 表示한 四個의 座表에서 浸飾面의 試料들은 密集된 狀態로 나타난다. 이것은 相對的으로 疎密한 分布를 보이는 河川이나 海邊堆積物의 것들과는 큰 對照를 이룬다. 4. 以上의 事實들은 北坪周邊에 發達되어 있는 20~70m 高度의 低位浸飾面에 被覆된 堆積物에서 採取한 試料로만 얻은 結果들이다. 이들이 우리나라 到處에 分布하는 山麓型浸飾面들의 被覆堆積物에까지도 一般化시켜 適用될 수 있는지는 本 硏究에서 完全히 克服되지 못한 問題다. 이 点은 韓國의 地形을 硏究함에는 매우 重要한 問題들인만큼 앞으로 繼續 究明코저 한다.
