        The future society is expected to be rapidly change in all areas, that is, the length of change time is becoming much smaller than that of generation time. It is very important to prepare the citizens who possess scientific literacy which actively cope with the rapid changes and specialization of society. The sources of rapid changes may be due to the developments in science and technology. Therefore, the importance of science education will be increasingly high. Scientific literacy should be improved basically and systematically from the early stages of formal education. Teachers who are responsible to educate children should be able to research in the areas of science education as well as science itself, and to have capacity to transmit them to the classroom. To do this, the graduate course and the science education within the system beyond the level of college education are essential parts of teacher education. In the graduate course, it is important that science itself and pedagogy of science should be balanced.

      • Cu^2+-quinolone 복합체 존재하 DNA의 DNase Ⅰ에 대한 가수분해 반응성 증가

        특히, 그람음성 세균에 대한 활성을 가지며 Escherichia coli, Proteus 및 Klebsiella류의 감염에 의한 요도염(urinary tract infections)의 임상학적 치료에 유효함이 증명된1-5 합성 항균제인 nalidixic acid(lethy1-1,4-dihydro-7-methyl-4-oxo-1,8-naphthyridine-3-carboxylic acid)를 비롯한 quinolones 항균제의 개발연구가6 국내외 공히 활발하게 진해되고 있음에도 불구하고 그 작용 메커니즘이 제대로 밝혀지지 못하고있는 실정이다. 이들은 DNA합성을 방해 하므로써 향균 기능을 갖는다고 알려져 있으나 그 표적물(target)이 무엇인가에 대하여는 불분명하다. 이들 quinolones는 생리적 pH에서 음이온으로 존재하므로 정전기적 반발로 인하여 다음이온성(polyanionic)인 DNA와의 직접적 상호작용 가능성이 배제되어 왔으며 일반적인 견해는 DNA gyrase subunit A가 nalidixic acid의 특이한 target인 것으로 알려져 있다.

      • 熱帶作物의 栽培現況과 開發可能性에 관한 硏究

        世界 熱帶特用作物의 栽培現況과 開發可能性을 檢討하기 爲하여 文獻調査에 依하여 本 硏究를 遂行하였다. 1. 食糧解決을 爲하여 穀物 生産量이 1970年부터 1981年에 걸쳐 35% 增加하였다. 2. 熱帶 油脂料作物의 生産狀況을 보면 땅콩의 生産量은 亞細亞 및 아프리카 地域에서 世界 生産量의 90%를 차지 하고, 비麻子 生産은 아프리카 地域에서 70%를 차지하고 있으며 그外의 油脂作物은 東南亞細亞가 主産地를 이루고 있다. 3. 熱帶 澱粉料作物은 最近에 cassava의 生産이 두드러지게 增加하고 있으며,sago palm이 새로운 澱粉料作物로 脚光을 받고 있다. 4. 糖料作物인 sugarcane의 生産量은 1970年부터 1981年 사이에 37% 增加 하였고 앞으로 계속하여 需要가 늘어날 展望이다. 5. 嗜好作物인 coffee와 담배는 栽培面積이 10年 사이에 크게 增加하지 않았으나 單位面積當 收穫量은 顯著히 增加 하였다. 6. 熱帶纖維料作物 中에서 木花는 10年間에 栽培面積은 2% 增加에 不過하였으나 生産量은 約 30%가 增加 하였다. 7. 熱帶果實中에서 生産量이 가장 많은 것은 banana와 orange이며 이들의 年間 生産量은 各各 4,000萬ton에 이르고 있다. banana는 東南亞細亞가 主産地이며 orange는 南ㆍ北美가 主産地를 이루고 있다. 8. 嗜好料作物, 纖維料作物, 澱粉料作物, 糖料作物 및 油料作物 90 種을 木本과 草本으로 區分하여 生態를 檢討한 結果 木本性植物 47 種中 亞熱帶에 分布하는 種數는 13種에 不過하였고 草本性植物은 43 種中亞熱帶에 分布하는 種數가 33種으로 草本이 顯著히 많았다. This study required a comprehensive review of the literature referring to tropical special crops. The following information was extracted. Production of cereals increased by 35% from 1970 to 81, and this increase hepled to alleviate the world food shortage. With reference to tropical oil crops, Africa and Asia grew 90% of the total world production of groundnuts. Africa producted 70% of the world's castor bean. The chief producing area of the other oil crops was East/South Asia. In the production of tropical starch crops, cassava is increasing rapidly, sago plam is spotlighted as a new tropical starch crop. The production of sugar cane as a sugar crop increased by 37% from 1970 to 81, and the demand continues to rise, it has good future prospect s. The production of coffee and tobacco, recreation crops has not increased very much over the past 10 years. However, the yield's per area increased markedly. The acreage of cotton, a tropical fiber crop, increased by a mere 2% but yields increased by 30% over the past 10 years. The principal tropical fruits are bananas and oranges and the present production of each crop exceeds 40,000,000 tons. The main producing area for bananas is East/South Asia and for oranges is South and North America. Ecological examination of 90 species of recreation, fiber, starch, sugar and oil crops showed that only 13 species of recreation, fiber, starch, sugar and oil crops showed that only 13 species are distributed in subtropical zones out of 47 arbor crop species and 33 species are distributed in subtropical zones out of 43 species of herb crops.

      • Streptobacillus sp.가 생산하는 pullulanase에 관한 연구

        A bacterium with the highest pullulanase activity was isolated from the soil and identified as Streptobacillus sp. Y-716. The optimum culture condition of Streptobacillus sp. for the production of pullulanase was as follows; 1.2%(w/v)soluble starch, 0.7%(w/v) CH₃COONH₄, 0.05%(w/v) MgSO₄7 H₂O, 0.01%(w/v)FeSO₄7H₂O, at 30℃, for 48 hrs. The pullulanase from the culture broth of Streptobacillus sp. Y-716 was purified about 46 fold by ammonium sulfate precipitation, dialysis. DEAE-cellulose and Sephadex G-200 column chromatography. The purified enzyme was stable between pH 5.0 and pH 7.5. It was inactivated rapidly above 35℃. The Km value and Vmax of the purified enzyme were 0.0137mg/m/ and 0.666μm/min. on pullulan, respectively.

      • 애니메이션의 효율적인 동작 제어에 관한 연구

        본 논문에서는 캐릭터 애니메이션의 효율적인 동작 제어를 위하여 익스프레션을 이용한 애니메이션을 제작하였다. 익스프레션을 이용한 애니메이션은 움직임의 표현에 있어서, 자연스러운 애니메이션을 좀더 쉽고 유용하게 표현하기 위한 방법으로 캐릭터의 동작 제어점들을 분석하여 익스프레션에서 애니메이션을 제어할 수 있는 요소를 찾아 그 식에 사용하였으며, 이것을 토대로 캐릭터의 동작을 자동적으로 제어하는 애니메이션을 구현하였다. 익스프레션에 의한 애니메이션은 간편한 조작으로 자연스럽고 현실적인 움직임을 생성할 수 있다는 익스프레션의 효율성이 장점으로 나타났지만, 애니메이터에 의한 키 프레임 방식에 의한 애니메이션보다는 어색함을 보였다. This paper manufactured animation to use expression for efficient action control of character animation. Animation to use expression is method to express natural animation little more easily and usefully in expression of motion Find urea that could control animation in expression analyzing action control points of character and used in ceremony Embodied animation to control automatically action of character on the basis of this. Efficiency of expression that animation by expression can create natural and realistic action by manufacturing that is simple was expose by advantage, but showed awkwardness than animation by key frame way by animator.

      • 다단 다출력 논리 합성

        본 논문은 AND, OR, XOR를 이용한 다출력 논리 합성 방법을 제시한다. 다출력 함수들에서 공통 인수를 산출하기 위해서 XCUBE를 사용하였으며, 다출력 함수들의 1-셀 분포에 따라 AND-OR 또는 AND-XOR로 논리 합성을 수행하는 알고리즘을 제시한다. This paper proposes a multi-output logic synthesis method using AND, OR, and XOR gates. The algorithm presented here is based on finding common cubes of given functions, called extended cube(XCUBE). XCUBE's can be obtained by deleting one literal from multi-output prime implicant. Multi-output functions care synthesized using XCUBE's, which decide the each output function into AND-OR or AND-XOR realization. We show that the different realization of output functions tends to generate more common cubes, which results in gate reductions. A heuristic is employed in the method to decide which type of realizations to be applied for each output function. The proposed method can generate either two-level or multi-level multi-output logic networks.

      • 병렬 결함 테스트 및 결함 포용 기능을 갖는 메모리 설계

        본 논문에서는 병렬 테스트가 가능하도록 메모리의 셀 어레이를 독립적인 여러 셀블록으로 구분하고, 셀블록들이 동시에 테스트에 참여할 수 있는 메모리를 설계하였다. 본 연구에서는 1Gb 기억용량이며, 4096개의 256Kb 셀블록으로 구성된 메모리를 설계하였다. 결함 발생시는 결함 셀블록을 고립시키는 graceful capacity degradation 방법을 이용한 결함 포용 회로를 설계하였다. 제안된 1Gb 메모리는 병렬 테스팅을 수행하기 때문에 4096배의 테스트 속도를 보인다. This paper proposes techniques, which perform parallel testing operation and graceful capacity degradation in case of memory fault. We present a 1 giga-bit memory with the techniques as an example. The proposed techniques offer a reduced testing time and an improved yield for high capacity memories.

      • 비교반응이 감귤생육에 미치는 영향

        Citrus growing in Cheju-do, Korea has increased remarkably for the past several years. In 1971 the citrus acreage in Cheju-do will have increased to 150,000 acres(6,000 hectars). To avoid frost, citrus growing in Cheju-do is confined to the coastal area below 200 metes avove sea level. The average orchard size is limited to small unit size. This has necessitated a high level of attention to individual tree health and production in orchard management. But in Cheju-do citrus farmers have not been able to solve various problems corretly in order to obtain maximum yield with high quality. Therefore, the solution of these problems necessitates the use of the systematic application methods fertilizers to citrus. From the experimental results of the application of some fertilizers to citrus unshu and the analysis of leaves, we gained important knowledge regarding citrus unshu. The effectiveness of fertilizers was studied under normal field conditions and with pot experiment in the field. The amount of fertilizer applied as base fertilizer was divided into 17 treatment with 8 factors. The effects of nitrogen on the trees were significant increases in height, trunk diameter, number of leaves, and length of branches, but the other mineral nutrient did not show such effect. Through leaf analysis the low calcium concentrations and very high iron and copper concentrations were determined. The first fertilizer applications were made in 1969 and records taken for the period 1970∼1971. This report is only the first presentation of data collected. These studies will be continued through 1974.

      • 운동과 활성 산소ㆍ황산화물의 관계에 관한 고찰

        The purpose of this study was to review for further understanding of the possible mechanisms of free radical formation during exercise and the relation of exercise and exercise induced oxidative stress and the antioxidant system. Acute or chronic strenuous exercise results in excessive production of reactive oxygen species(ROS). This ROS production may lead to lipid peroxidation and protein oxidation in the exercising muscle. Now, the results of study on the role of non-enzymatic defense system was not clear. Further study is necessary to get clear results of antioxidants. But, exercise induced oxidative stress may be reduced by antioxidant ingestion. Therefore, it is necessary to study on proper exercise for reduction of oxidative injury and for efficient practice of intensive exercise by antioxidant administration.
