      • 비·부비동 모형에서 전비공 및 비인강폐쇄 정도에 따른 상악동 환기의 변화

        목적 : 부비동염은 부비동 점막의 염증성 질환으로 상기도에 발생하는 가장 흔한 질환이다. 부비동의 정상적인 생리는 부비동의 자연개구부를 통한 환기, 점액섬모운동, 점막을 통한 산소교환, 점막내의 혈액공급등이 적절하게 유지되는 것을 말하며, 이러한 정상생리를 방해하는 다양한 원인으로 부비동염이 발생한다. 부비동의 환기는 자연개구부의 크기, 비강의 크기와 모양, 비강내 기류, 부비동의 크기, 점막의 병리적 상태등과 같은 다양한 인자에 의해 영향을 받는다. 본 연구는 전산화단층촬영 영상을 토대로 실물크기의 비부비동 모형을 제작하여, 모형의 전비공 및 비인강의 폐쇄정토에 따른 상악동의 환기정도가 어떤 변화를 보이는지 알아보고자 한다. 재료 및 방법 : 비과적 증상이 없는 건강한 성인남자로부터 얻은 전산화단충촬영 영상으로 비부비동 모형을 제작하였다. 모형의 좌측 상악동으로 100% 산소를 주입한 후 비인강에 연결된 관을 통해 지원자가 입으로 호흡하는 동안 좌측 상악동의 산소농도를 측정하였다. 상악동내 산소농도가 95%에서 25%로 감소하기 위한 호흡횟수를 측정하였고 이를 30회 반복하여 평균호흡횟수(RN95-25)를 구하였다. 고무찰흙을 이용해서 전비공 폐쇄 및 비인강 폐쇄 모형을 만들어 각각 같은 방법으로 호흡횟수를 측정하여 정상과 비교하였다. 결과 : 정상 모형에서 평균 호흡횟수(RN95-25)는 27.50±2.36회 이었다. 동측 전비공 폐쇄 모형에서는20%, 40%, 60%의 폐쇄시 각각 16.30±1.53, 11.47±1.20, 7.40±0.89회로 유의한 호흡횟수의 감소를 보여(P<0.05) 동측 상악동의 환기정도가 정상에 비해 증가함을 알 수 있었다. 비인강 폐쇄 모형에서는 20%, 40%, 60% 폐쇄시 각각 19.16±1.93, 20.87±1.67, 21.51±1.72회로 감소하였으나 80% 폐쇄시에는 35.77±1.78회로 유의한(P<0.05) 호흡횟수의 증가를 나타내어 일정수준 이하의 폐쇄에서는 환기정도가 증가하였으나 그 이상에서는 감소함을 알수있었다. 결론 : 전비공 폐쇄시 상악동 환기증가는 비강내의 기류분포의 큰 저항 없이 비저항을 크게 증가시켰기 때문이라고 생각된다. 반면 비인강폐쇄로 인한 비저항 증가는 일정 수준까지는 기류 증가로 인한 환기증가를 가져오지만, 그 이상에서는 중비도를 통한 기류를 감소시켜 상악동 환기를 저하시키는 것으로 사료된다. 향후 동일한 모형으로 비강내 기류및 압력을 함께 측정하는 실험을 통해 비강내 구조와 상악동 환기에 대한 공기역학적 관계를 보다 잘 이해할 수 있을 것으로 생각된다. Objectives: The sinusitis is the mucosal inflammation of sinus which is most common in upper respiratory tract. Decreased ventilation of sinus ostium is probably the most important in the development of sinus and these sinus ventilation are deranged by the dysfunction of the physiologic orders affected by the multiple causes; the size of natural ostiums, contour and air streams of nasopharynx, the size and pathologic conditions in the sinus. The connection between structural alteration in naso-nasopharyngeal cavity and sinus ostial vetilation is not completley understood. To investigate this problem, experiments with delicate human sinus model have been perfomed. Material and method: The sinonasal model was constructed firm CT of a healthy young man. The oxygen saturation in the left maxillary sinus was investigated while a volunteer breaths through the corrugated tube connected to the nasopharynx of the model. We studied to get the numbers of respiration(RN95-25) by watching O_(2) saturation of the maxillary sinus from 95% to 25 % ( volunteer repeat 30 times to have O_(2) saturation down to minimize the error). Results: Increased sinus ventilation was recognized by the increasead nasal resistance while the ipsilateral anterior nare was obstructed(p<0.05). In nasopharyngeal obstruction model, we noticed respiratory rate was decreasead among the 20%, 40% and 60%, but increased at 80% in the nasopharyngeal obtruction model(p<0.05). Therefore the ventilation was increased up to the certain level of the nasopharyngeal obstruction, to follow by decreasing after that level. Conclusion: We observed the nasal resistance increased maxillary sinus ventilation without resistant stream pattern in the nasal cavity when anterior nare obstructed. To the contrary the nasopharyngeal resistance was increased at the beginning and then decreased by the increased air streams through the middle meatus after certain level. The results from our studies could be useful to understand the relations between structural alteration on naso-nasopharyngeal cavity and ventilation of the sinuses.

        테프(Eragrostis tef) 분말을 첨가하여 제조한 글루텐프리 면의 품질 특성과 검의 상관관계

        As the consumption of wheat has increased recently, the number of people who have digestive problems resulting from gluten in wheat has also increased. Teff has an attractive nutritional profile, as it not only gluten-free but also high in dietary fiber, protein, iron, and calcium. Seven samples were prepared for this study. The quality characteristics of gluten-free noodles were evaluated based on pH, salinity, water absorption, turbidity, color, texture properties, tensile strength, and SEM. The pH value was the highest in TF100 with a pH of 6.66 and the lowest in the control with a pH of 6.42. Salinity showed no significant difference among all samples, and it ranged from 0.02~0.04% (p<0.05). Water absorption was the highest in TFX with a value of 66.11%, and the lowest in the control with a value of 44.81%. Turbidity showed no significant difference among all samples, and it ranged from 0.14~0.21 O.D. (p<0.05). While the lightness and yellowness values decreased with an increase in teff flour content, the redness value tended to decrease. The color difference value was the highest in the sample group without gluten. Based on the texture profile analysis, the hardness was highest in the control with a value of 46.74 N and lowest in TF100 with a value of 18.34 N. The springiness showed no significant difference among all samples. The cohesiveness was highest in the control with a value of 0.92 N. The chewiness decreased with an increase in teff flour content. Although the control with gluten had the highest tensile strength at 3.42 kg/cm<sup>2</sup>, TFX had considerable tensile strength at 2.30 kg/cm2. This study demonstrated the processability of gluten-free noodles using teff flour.

      • 고순도 타이타늄 에톡사이드 합성에 관한 연구

        The synthetic method of conventional titanium alkoxide had used a benzene for solvent and liquid ammonia to remove Cl^- ion. However, there are so many researches to find alternative solvent and removal agent of chloride ion, because of the drawback of benzene which has been known as a carcinogen and liquid ammonia that is very expensive and dangerous. Synthesis of titanium ethoxide was carried out as a function of solvent, odor of synthesis and amount of alcohol for synthesis of Ti(O-C₂H_5)₄ and used triethylamine (N(C₂H_5)₃) instead of ammonia for the removal of Cl^- ion. Maximum yield of 81.4% was achieved under the condition as follows: heptane for solvent and injected alcohol of 4 ㏖, 2 ㏖ at a time, in a reactor for 15 minutes. The stretching vibrations of (C-O)Ti were observed at wavenumber(㎝^(-1)) of 1100 ㎝^(-1) and 1050 ㎝^(-1), which was typical characteristic peaks of titanium ethoxide.

        Cytochrome P450 (cyp) is an important enzyme that can act on xenobiotic substances such as toxic chemicals or drugs. Phenobarbital(PB) has been widely used to induce CYP2B activity to investigate the drug-drug interaction of CTP2B substrate drugs.leelamine is a diterpene compound, and is the current focus of efforts to develop a treatment for diabetes. In this study. we identi-fied the selective and potent inductive effct of leelamine on CYP2B antdoes of 5,10,or 20 mg/kg in male ICR micc for I or 3 days. In liver, the activity of CYP2B significantly increased 3.6-fold after treatment with leelamine,com-pared to vehicle-treated group. Activities of benzyloxy-resorufin O-dealkylase and pentoxyresorufin O-dealkylase significantly increased 6.3-and 5.3-fold, respectively,with a single treatment of 20 mg/kg leelamine for I day. Fur-thermore. immunoblot analysis showed that signifieantly and dose-dependently increased CYP2B10 protein levels in liver.However,PCR results showed that there were no significant changes in the CAR and CYP2B mRNA levels after leelamine treatment. Accordingly, we suggest that leelamine is a novel substitute of PB for the seleetive inudction of CYP2B activity in vivo.

        Subcellular Localization of the Barley Stripe Mosaic Virus Triple Gene Block Proteins

        <B>ABSTRACT</B><P><I>Barley stripe mosaic virus</I> (BSMV) spreads from cell to cell through the coordinated actions of three triple gene block (TGB) proteins (TGB1, TGB2, and TGB3) arranged in overlapping open reading frames (ORFs). Our previous studies (D. M. Lawrence and A. O. Jackson, J. Virol. 75:8712-8723, 2001; D. M. Lawrence and A. O. Jackson, Mol. Plant Pathol. 2:65-75, 2001) have shown that each of these proteins is required for cell-to-cell movement in monocot and dicot hosts. We recently found (H.-S. Lim, J. N. Bragg, U. Ganesan, D. M. Lawrence, J. Yu, M. Isogai, J. Hammond, and A. O. Jackson, J. Virol. 82:4991-5006, 2008) that TGB1 engages in homologous interactions leading to the formation of a ribonucleoprotein complex containing viral genomic and messenger RNAs, and we have also demonstrated that TGB3 functions in heterologous interactions with TGB1 and TGB2. We have now used <I>Agrobacterium tumefaciens</I>-mediated protein expression in <I>Nicotiana benthamiana</I> leaf cells and site-specific mutagenesis to determine how TGB protein interactions influence their subcellular localization and virus spread. Confocal microscopy revealed that the TGB3 protein localizes at the cell wall (CW) in close association with plasmodesmata and that the deletion or mutagenesis of a single amino acid at the immediate C terminus can affect CW targeting. TGB3 also directed the localization of TGB2 from the endoplasmic reticulum to the CW, and this targeting was shown to be dependent on interactions between the TGB2 and TGB3 proteins. The optimal localization of the TGB1 protein at the CW also required TGB2 and TGB3 interactions, but in this context, site-specific TGB1 helicase motif mutants varied in their localization patterns. The results suggest that the ability of TGB1 to engage in homologous binding interactions is not essential for targeting to the CW. However, the relative expression levels of TGB2 and TGB3 influenced the cytosolic and CW distributions of TGB1 and TGB2. Moreover, in both cases, localization at the CW was optimal at the 10:1 TGB2-to-TGB3 ratios occurring in virus infections, and mutations reducing CW localization had corresponding effects on BSMV movement phenotypes. These data support a model whereby TGB protein interactions function in the subcellular targeting of movement protein complexes and the ability of BSMV to move from cell to cell.</P>

        The problem which the morden enterprises have to solve is the human and material resources management, because of the shortening of the international resources and the statue of economic stagnation. This problem is conerned with detenmining what inventory level, order point and order quantity should be set in order to minimize the total inventory cost associated with producing a product under the demand fluctuation over a planning horizon. What is called classic inventory control theory does not adequately reflect the realities of a manufacturing enviroment and makes incorrect assumputions as the function of, and, the demand for, individual items which. a manufacturing inventory comprises. Therefore, material requirement planning(M R P) system has been developed as an excellent production scheduling and inventory control technique with wide availability of computers since 1960. M R P is a process of operation planning and control designed to minimize inventory level, to maximize operation efficiency and to improve service level. This paper tries to find the character of the M R P system and suggest the theoretical back-ground of its application to the firm. For the purpose of these objects, this paper compares the M R P system with the traditional inventory control technique. In order to apply and replenish the "MRP" system to the firm ; 1) Make the item level for material requirement planning schedule 2) Prescribe the level of management to use the "M R P" system and educate solving the above problems, "M R P" technique will be effectively used to solve the management problems. We must study the following problems for the use of the "M R P" system. 1) Can not solve by only past data 2) Problem of decision -making of "M R P" 3) Problem of disign of "M R P" system 4) Problem of making the bill of material 5) Problem of developing the software of "M R P"

        흰 쥐 모델에서 지연재식 시 dexamethasone과 OP-1의 표면처리가 치주조직 재생 및 항흡수 작용에 미치는 효과

        본 연구를 종합하면 통계학적인 유의차는 없었으나 OP-1에 비해서는 DEX로 처치한 군에서 더 많은 골유합이 나타났으며 고농도의 OP-1으로 처치한 군에서는 골유합 없이 치주재생이 일어나는 부위가 많이 관찰되었다. 그러나 차후에는 DEX나 OP-1이 치주조직 내의 어느 세포에 어떠한 기전으로 작용하는지 분자생물학적인 방법을 통하여 규명하고 이를 토대로 치주인대의 손상 후 야기되는 골성 유합을 줄이는 효과적인 치료약제나 방법을 개발하는 연구가 계속적으로 이루어져야 할 것으로 사료되며 6주 이상의 재식기간 후 각 약제의 조직학적 반응을 평가하기 위한 실험도 추가되어야 할 것으로 사료된다. 태생 40일 된 Spray-Dolwey계 흰 쥐의 상악 제1대구치를 발거하고 30분간 자연건조시킨 뒤 MB치근을 Caviton으로 근관충전하고 MB 치근표면에 DEX와 OP-1을 농도를 달리하여 도포한 후 재식하고 3주후 골 및 백악질의 재형성과 치주재생 및 치근 흡수 방지효과를 관찰한 결과 고농도의 OP-1이 조직학적인 관찰에서 치근흡수, 골성 유합 및 염증 정도에서 가장 우수한 결과를 보여주었고 치주 재생능력 면에서도 가장 뛰어난 것으로 나타났으나 추후에는 6주 이상의 장기관찰 후 각 약제의 조직학적 반응도를 평가하기 위한 실험이 추가되어야 할 것으로 사료된다.

      • 부산지역 공무원 및 교직원의 당뇨병에 관한 역학적 조사연구

        조사대상자(공무원 및 교직원) 4,755명에 대한 당뇨병의 유병율은 2.9%(남 3.0%, 여 2.5%)이었으며 연령이 높을수록, 남자에서, 그리고 비만자의 경우, 당뇨병의 유병율이 각각 고율이었다 (P<0.05) Authors surveyed on the prevalence rate of diabetes and several factors related with the occurrence of diabetes on 4,755 numbers of public officials and school personnels in Busan for one year from July, 1982. The obtained results were as follows: 1.The prevalence rate of diabetes among total aubjects was 2.9% (Male 3.0%, Female 2.5%, and it was gradually increased with aging (P < 0.05). 2.The positive rate of lasting urine sugar was 2.7% among total subjects, and the negative rate of diabetic group was 78.3%. 3.The rate of obesity (120% and over of standard body weights in diabetic group wart higher than normal (P<0.05). 4.Among 76 diabetics, 58 (76.3%) numbers were 110mg/dl and over in postprandial 2 hour blood sugar level.
