The experiments were supported jointly by National Renderers Association, Far East Office and Korea Mixedfeed Association, and were conducted in three different poultry farms of In-san, Kun-kuk and So-shin in or vicinity of Seoul, Korea. The objectives were to demonstrate the economy and the nutritional value of using tallow as a feed ingredient in formulating the high energy broiler rations. It was also to determine the dietary level of tallow which is most feasible for the economy of broiler production in Korea. Per this purposes, the feeding trials were set fur four different dietary levels of 0, 3, 5 and 7 percent tallow, and the rations were formulated to meet all the known nutritional requirements for the optimum broiler production. The dietary energy levels were increased with increasing the dietary levles of tallow, and the levels of dietary protein were also increased accordingly to maintain constant theoretic calorie-protein ratios of 62 for the starter and 70 for the finisher rations. During the course of experiments, the comparative effects of four different rations were made upon weekly weight, feed consumption and fried convection. Other are studies on losses, carcass quality and finally upon the economy of broiler productions.
목포시 도시근린공원에서 Well-being을 위한 대기환경 특성

본 연구는 목포시 도시근린공원 입암산과 양을산을 선정하여 피톤치드(11종), 음이온, 미세먼지, 총부유세균, 가스상 성분을 측정하였고, 동시간대 대기오염측정소 결과를 비교 분석하여 숲 기능의 장점을 찾아보고자 하였다. 피톤치드는 숲속에서 측정했던 평균농도는 797.5 ~ 986.4 pptv였고, 2시간 산책하면서 측정했던 평균농도는 382.1 ~ 415.7 pptv로 나타났다. 음이온은 바닷가에 위치 입암산공원이 양을산 보다 더 높게 나타났으며, 도시지역과 공지역이 낮게 나타났다. 가스상 물질인 질소산화물은 출근 시간대인 오전 7~10시에 높게 나타났으며원지역을 비교한 총부유세균과 PM-10은 도시지역에 비해 공원, 오존은 도시지역과 공원지역의 농도 차이가 없었으며 시간대별 오존농도는 정오경에 가장 높은 농도를 나타냈다. The study was carried out to investigate the concentration distribution of phytoncides, PM-10, anion, total suspended bacteria, nitrogen oxide and ozone on the air quality of Yangeulsan and Ibamsan urban-area parks on Mokpo city. In phytoncides, the mean value measured in each site showed 797.5 ~ 986.4 pptv in case of measuring air quality at position fixed in specific spot and 382.1 ~ 415.7 pptv in case of mobile measurement for air quality taking a walk during two hours. In anion, it showed that Ibamsan located near by sea was higher than Yangeulsan located near city`s center. In PM-10 and total suspended bacteria, the concentration measured in two urban-area parks was lower than that of city area. In NOx concentration of gaseous material was highest in the morning rush hours 7 to 10 o`clock. In ozone concenration, there was no difference of air quality between urban area parks and city area, while ozone concentration was the highest value in noon when UV rays were the strongest.
지하공동구 화재 실험 및 시뮬레이션에 의한 화재 실험 예측 평가

지하공동구는 최근 통신의 발달로 인해 국가 중추기능으로서의 주요 역할를 하는 시설로, 사고시 신속한 대처가 힘들고 케이블 연소시 발생하는 유독가스에 의한 검은 연기로 공동구 내에 진입하여 소화하기가 힘들다. 따라서 화재발생시 막대한 재산피해 및 통신의 두절 등 국가의 중추신경이 마비됨은 물론 시민 불편사항을 초래시켰다. 본 논문은 지금까지 발생되어온 공동구 화재를 바탕으로 실제 공동구 모형을 제작하여 화재를 재현함으로서, 과학적으로 화재의 성상을 분석하고 지하공동구 내에 소방설비를 갖춘 후에 일정온도에서 각각의 소방설비들이 제대로 작동하는지를 검증하는데 그 목적이 있다. 화재실험은 지하공동구 내에 정온식 감지선형 감지기, 방화문, 연결살수설비 및 환기설비를 설치하고 송 · 배전케이블은 일정구간 내화도료로 도장하며 난방관은 내화피복된 상태에서 실험하였다. 그 결과 최고 온도가 932℃로 측정되었고 일정온도에서 정온식 감지선형 감지기가 작동하여 화재위치를 정확히 수신반에 나타내었다. 그리고 송 · 배선케이블은 일정구간 내화도료로 도장한 것은 내화성능이 없는 것으로 나타났고, 내화피복된 난방관은 약 30분 정도의 내화 성능이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 컴퓨터 화재 시뮬레이션은 실제 화재 시험시의화재하중을 입력하여 실시한 결과 최고 온도가 943℃로 실제 화재시의 최고 온도인 932℃와 거의 일치하였다. 따라서 공동구 화재하중만으로 화재 시뮬레이션을 실시하여 화재의 성상에 대한 예측이 가능한 것으로 판단되며 시뮬레이션으로 얻는 열방출량, 연기층의 높이, 산소, 일산화탄소, 이산화탄소의 농도 등의 결과 값들을 실제 화재 실험시의 값으로 적용시킬 수 있는 것으로 판단된다. The utility tunnels are the important facility as a mainstay of country because of the latest communication developments. However, the utilities tunnel is difficult to deal with in case of a fire accident. When a cable burns, the black smoke containing poisonous gas will be produced. This black smoke goes into the tunnel, and makes it difficult to extinguish the fire, Therefore, when there was fire in the utility tunnel, the central nerves of the country had been paralyzed, such as property damage, communication interruption, in addition to inconvenience for people. This paper is based on the fire occurred in the utilities tunnel in the past, and reenacting the fire by making the real utilities tunnel model. The aim of this paper is the scientific analysis of the character image of the fire, and the verification of each fire protection system whether it works well after process of setting up a fire protection system in the utilities tunnel at a constant temperature. The fire experiment was equipped with the linear heat detector, the linear heat detector, the fire door, the connection water spray system and the ventilation system in the utilities tunnel. Fixed portion of an electric power supply cable was coated with a fire retardant coating, and a heating tube was covered with a fireproof. The result showed that the highest temperature was 932℃ and the liner heat detector was working at the constant temperature, and it pointed at the place of the fire on the receiving board, and Fixed portion of the electric power supply cable coated with the fire retardant coating did not work as the fireproof. The heating tube was covered with the fireproof had the function of the fireproof about 30 minutes.
Synthesis of Iron Oxide Nanowires by Heating Iron Foils

<P>We have fabricated the iron oxide nanowires directly from iron foils through the simple heating in N2 ambient. We have characterized the samples by means of scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX) spectroscopy, and selected area diffraction pattern. The EDX spectrum revealed that the nanowires contained elements of Fe and O. The iron oxide nanowires were crystalline with diameters in the range of 30-200 nm. We have discussed the possible growth mechanisms.</P>

Cytochrome P450 (cyp) is an important enzyme that can act on xenobiotic substances such as toxic chemicals or drugs. Phenobarbital(PB) has been widely used to induce CYP2B activity to investigate the drug-drug interaction of CTP2B substrate drugs.leelamine is a diterpene compound, and is the current focus of efforts to develop a treatment for diabetes. In this study. we identi-fied the selective and potent inductive effct of leelamine on CYP2B antdoes of 5,10,or 20 mg/kg in male ICR micc for I or 3 days. In liver, the activity of CYP2B significantly increased 3.6-fold after treatment with leelamine,com-pared to vehicle-treated group. Activities of benzyloxy-resorufin O-dealkylase and pentoxyresorufin O-dealkylase significantly increased 6.3-and 5.3-fold, respectively,with a single treatment of 20 mg/kg leelamine for I day. Fur-thermore. immunoblot analysis showed that signifieantly and dose-dependently increased CYP2B10 protein levels in liver.However,PCR results showed that there were no significant changes in the CAR and CYP2B mRNA levels after leelamine treatment. Accordingly, we suggest that leelamine is a novel substitute of PB for the seleetive inudction of CYP2B activity in vivo.
