Difffraction patterns on the variation of the width b and the separation d of the double slit have been simulated by a computer. As the slit-width b is kept constant and the slit-separation d is varied, the scale of the interference pattern varies. but that of diffraction pattern remains the same: As the slit-separation d increases by the slit-width b times, the number of fringe of interference is 2n+1, n is d/b. However as the slit-separation d is kept constant, and the slit-width b is varied, the scale of the interference pattern and that of diffraction pattern varies: In case of b≤0. 1d the intensity between fringes of interference is nearly equal and this result agrees with that of Young's double-slit experiment.
Consumption of Health Foods: Through the Investigation of the Cereal Grain Industry
( Nyeong Seon Son ) 한국산업조직학회 2014 한국산업조직학회 정책세미나 논문집 Vol.2014 No.1
This paper investigates whether consumer characteristics are related to their healthy choices in the cereal grain industry. In particular, we consider which consumer receives more substantial influence from the media and, in turn, increases healthier type of products (i.e., mixed grain). The empirical results suggest that the higher consumers have education levels, the less they are affected by the media. Finally, we produce many public policy and marketing implications about health products and agriculture.
Establishment Dynamics and Productivity: Is the ICT Industry Improving?
Nyeong Seon Son 서울대학교 경제연구소 2021 Seoul journal of economics Vol.34 No.3
The Korean ICT industry has recently experienced low productivity growth. This study examines this decline of labor productivity growth using the perspective of establishment dynamics. The establishment dataset covering one or more employees shows that the ICT industry has higher entry and exit rates than the other sectors. However, active reallocation in the ICT industry has slowed and the contribution of entrants to productivity growth has rapidly declined, especially in its service sector. Results show that the slowdown of establishment dynamics is related to the decline in productivity growth in the ICT industry.

Since Paris Climate Change Conference in 2015, many policies to reduce the emission of greenhouse gas have been accelerating, which are mainly related to renewable energy resources and micro-grid. Presently, the technology development and demonstration projects are mostly focused on diversifying the power resources by adding wind turbine, photo-voltaic and battery storage system in the island-type small micro-grid. It is expected that the large-scaled micro-grid projects based on the regional district and town/complex city, e.g. the block type micro-grid project in Daegu national industrial complex will proceed in the near future. In this case, the economic cost or the carbon emission can be optimized by the efficient operation of energy mix and the appropriate construction of electric and heat supplying facilities such as cogeneration, renewable energy resources, BESS, thermal storage and the existing heat and electricity supplying networks. However, when planning a large residential town or city, the concrete plan of the energy infrastructure has not been established until the construction plan stage and provided by the individual energy suppliers of water, heat, electricity and gas. So, it is difficult to build the efficient energy portfolio considering the characteristics of town or city. This paper introduces an energy mix optimization(EMO) method to determine the optimal capacity of thermal and electric resources which can be applied in the design stage of the real largescaled residential town or city, and examines the feasibility of the proposed method by applying the real heat and electricity demand data of large-scale residential towns with thousands of households and by comparing the result of HOMER simulation developed by National Renewable Energy Laboratory(NREL).
Improving Throughput and Packet Delay of Interactive Multimedia Satellite Networks

In Geostationary Earth Orbit (GEO) satellite networks, the delay of packets queued in satellite terminals in the return-link is a critical factor to degrading the quality-of-service. In this paper, we suggest two unbiased traffic forecasting models, which belong to a family of commonly used time-series models, based on the first-and secondorder variations of traffic, and develop new Demand Assignment Multiple Access (DAMA) protocols based on the proposed traffic forecasting models in order to improve the delay of packets. We compare the delay and throughput performance of the proposed DAMA protocols with that of two previous protocols under the two traffic models,SupFRP and PowON_PowOFF models, for various parameters setups. Simulation results show that the proposed protocols significantly improve the delay compared to previous DAMA protocols. This implies that, in the proposed protocols, by accurate estimation of traffic demand, valuable resources are more properly allocated to satellite terminals so that the amount of resources allocated, but not actually used for traffic transmission, can be reduced: ultimately, this improves the transmission delay of those terminals with higher traffic demand.
