A model with isospin doublet <tex> $ U(1)_{D}$</tex> gauge symmetry

<P>We propose a model with an extra isospin doublet <TEX>$ U(1)_{D}$</TEX> gauge symmetry, in which we introduce several extra fermions with odd parity under a discrete <TEX>$ Z_{2}$</TEX> symmetry in order to cancel the gauge anomalies out. A remarkable issue is that we impose nonzero <TEX>$ U(1)_{D}$</TEX> charge to the Standard Model Higgs, and it gives the most stringent constraint to the vacuum expectation value of a scalar field breaking the <TEX>$ U(1)_{D}$</TEX> symmetry that is severer than the LEP bound. We then explore relic density of a Majorana dark matter candidate without conflict of constraints from lepton flavor violating processes. A global analysis is carried out to search for parameters which can accommodate with the observed data.</P>
Minimal realization of right-handed gauge symmetry

<P>We propose a minimally extended gauge symmetry model with U(1)(R), where only the right-handed fermions have nonzero charges in the fermion sector. To achieve both anomaly cancellations and minimality, three right-handed neutrinos are naturally required, and the standard model Higgs has to have nonzero charge under this symmetry. Then we find that its breaking scale(Lambda) is restricted by precise measurement of neutral gauge boson in the standard model; therefore, O(10) TeV less than or similar to Lambda We also discuss its testability of the new gauge boson and discrimination of U(1)(R) model from U(1)(B-L) one at collider physics such as LHC and ILC.</P>

『土名對照鮮滿植物字彙』(1932)의 식물생활민속지적 의의와 『鄕藥集成方』(1433) 초부 상품과의 관계성 고찰

This article selected Domei taisho senman syokubutsu jii (土名對照鮮滿植物字彙) as analysis data to find the relationship between pre modern plant names and scientific names, the outcome of modern plant classification, as part of preparatory work to access botanical ethnographic knowledge in the pre modern era, and selected Sangpums (上品) 1∼52 of Chobu (草部) (Part of Herbs) from Hyangyak jipseongbang (鄕藥集成方) as data about pre modern plant names. The composition and ethnographic significance of Domei taisho senman syokubutsu jii were determined, and then the relationship between Tomyeong 1daejo seonman singmul jahwi and Hyangyak jipseongbang was considered. As a result, it was found that Domei taisho senman syokubutsu jii contains descriptions very relevant to life culture thanks to the author’s field survey as well as the Korean names, Chinese names, Japanese names, and scientific names of plants, and thus that it also has botanical ethnographic value. In addition, modern scientific names for Sangpums of Chobu in Hyangyak jipseongbang were identified, and the position of each of Sangpums of Chobu from Hyangyak jipseongbang under the modern classification were also identified. The present article has limitations in that its objects of analysis were limited to Sangpums of Chobu from Hyangyak jipseongbang, and thus the analysis of their contents and the contrast with Domei taisho senman syokubutsu jii ended up being within the limits. And yet, it was possible to grasp tendency even from the partial portions, and it was confirmed that the remaining portions are also worth detailed investigation. 본 연구는 전근대시기의 식물 명칭을 근대적 식물분류와 연결시킨 자료를 발굴하여 그것으로 전근대시기의 식물민속지식에 접근할 수 있게 하는 것을 목적으로 수행되었다. 이 목적에 적합한 자료로 『土名對照鮮滿植物字彙』(1932)를 선택했으며, 전근대 식물 명칭의 자료로서 『鄕藥集成方』(1433)을 선택했다. 연구를 진행하면서 『土名對照鮮滿植物字彙』는 다른 식물학 책과는 달리, 식물학적 내용뿐만 아니라 식물과 관련된 의식주와 각종 관습을 알 수 있는 단서가 되는 내용이 다수 포함되어 있는 것을 알게 되었다. 또한 저자의 무라타도 식물채집과 문헌연구만이 아니라 조선과 만주를 몇 차례에 걸쳐 방문하고 현지인을 대상으로 조사한 인물이었다. 그의 작업은 일반 사람들을 대상으로 현지에 가서 조사를 해 그 결과를 민속지로 기록하는 민속학의 연구방법과 상통한다. 그래서 이 책은 단순히 식물의 사전이라는 범주를 넘어, 저작된 당시의 생활문화를 담은 민속지적인 가치를 가지게 되었다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 『鄕藥集成方』의 관계성 분석을 통해 『鄕藥集成方』 초부 상품에 해당되는 각 식물의 근대식 학명을 알 수 있었다. 조선시대 초기의 식물 명칭이 근대의 어느 학명에 해당되는지를 밝힘으로서 전근대시기의 식물민속지식에 접근할 방도를 제시할 수 있게 되었다. 또한 근대적 분류에서 『鄕藥集成方』 초부 상품의 각 식물의 위치도 확인 할 수 있었다. 본고는 분석 대상이 『鄕藥集成方』초부 상품에 해당되는 부분에 한정되어, 내용 분석과 『土名對照鮮滿植物字彙』과의 대조가 그 범위 안에 머무른 점이 연구의 한계점이다. 그러나 그 일부분에서도 경향성을 파악할 수 있었으며 남은 부분도 상세하게 검토할 가치가 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>We propose a model of neutrino mass matrix with large S U ( 2 ) multiplets and gauged U <SUB> ( 1 ) <SUB> L μ </SUB> − <SUB> L τ </SUB> </SUB> symmetry, in which we introduce S U ( 2 ) quartet scalar and quintet fermions with nonzero <SUB> L μ </SUB> − <SUB> L τ </SUB> charge. Then we investigate the neutrino mass structure and explore phenomenologies of large multiplet fields at the collider, particularly, focusing on doubly- and singly- charged exotic leptons from the quintet.</P>
Discriminating leptonic Yukawa interactions with doubly charged scalar at the ILC

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>We explore discrimination of two types of leptonic Yukawa interactions associated with Higgs triplet, L ¯ L c Δ <SUB> L L </SUB> , and with S U ( 2 ) singlet doubly charged scalar, e ¯ R c <SUP> k + + </SUP> <SUB> e R </SUB> . These interactions can be distinguished by measuring the effects of doubly charged scalar boson exchange in the <SUP> e + </SUP> <SUP> e − </SUP> → <SUP> ℓ + </SUP> <SUP> ℓ − </SUP> processes at polarized electron-positron colliders. We study a forward-backward asymmetry of scattering angular distribution to estimate the sensitivity for these effects at the ILC. In addition, we investigate prospects of upper bounds on the Yukawa couplings by combining the constraints of lepton flavor violation processes and the <SUP> e + </SUP> <SUP> e − </SUP> → <SUP> ℓ + </SUP> <SUP> ℓ − </SUP> processes at the LEP and the ILC.</P>

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>We propose a model based on an alternative U <SUB> ( 1 ) B − L </SUB> gauge symmetry with 5 dimensional operators in the Lagrangian, and we construct the neutrino masses at one-loop level, and discuss lepton flavor violations, dark matter, and the effective number of neutrino species due to two massless particles in our model. Then we search allowed region to satisfy the current experimental data of neutrino oscillation and lepton flavor violations without conflict of several constraints such as stability of dark matter and the effective number of neutrino species, depending on normal hierarchy and inverted one.</P>
