Liquid biopsy is indispensable for the resolution of current medical issues, such as the cost of developing new drugs and predicting responses of patients to drugs. In this sense, not only the technology for liquid biopsy but also the target biomolecules for biomarkers need to be identified. Extracellular vesicles (EVs), which contain various proteins, including membrane-bound proteins, and RNAs, including mRNA and long/short noncoding RNAs, have emerged as ideal targets for liquid biopsy. These complex biomolecules are covered by a lipid bilayer, which can protect them from degradation. In this review, we review current topics regarding EVs as cancer biomarkers and introduce technologies used for these recently emerged biomolecules.
New Methods to Suppress EMI Noises in the Motor Drive System
Nobuyoshi Mutoh,Mitsukatsu Ogata,Kayhan Gulez,Fumio Harashima 전력전자학회 2001 ICPE(ISPE)논문집 Vol.2001 No.10
New methods are studied that can suppress EMI noises, especially common mode currents produced in the motor drive system One is a packaging technique that forms power converters using a four-layer printed power circuit board The other is a method based on the generation mechanism of common mode currents which was developed from experimental analyses It is proved by experiments that the former can effectively control common mode currents, including radiated emissions, and the latter can suppress them without any compensators between the inverter and the motor.<br/>

This paper describes the role of Japan's regional financial institutions in SME financing and what efforts are being made by private financial institutions and the government to address their challenges. Japan's local regions are at risk of weakening due to declining birth rates and aging populations, and the government implements measures to revitalize local areas. Japanese people have a growing demand for the active role of regional financial institutions, which have essential information on the regional economy. Traditionally, regional financial institutions have focused on lending. The macroeconomic situations, such as a surplus of funds and the Bank of Japan's negative interest rates policy, have caused lending rates to continue to fall. Against this backdrop, the earnings of regional financial institutions have been on a downward trend, but lower credit costs have mitigated the deterioration in earnings until now. However, the spread of the COVID-19 in 2020 exacerbates the over-indebtedness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). There is a widespread sense of crisis that the local economy will collapse if the situation continues, and regional financial institutions will find it difficult to operate. To help companies suffering from the COVID-19 crisis and carry out regional development activities, regional financial institutions must perform new functions beyond traditional functions, while lending will continue to be an essential business for banks in the future. To help regional financial institutions engage in new businesses, the Japanese government has pushed for significant deregulation. However, for banks to effectively support SMEs, banks need to know their customers very well. Therefore there is a strong need to improve their ability constantly to assess customers' business potential.
Nonorthogonal CSK/SS ALOHA System under MANET Environment
Nobuyoshi Komuro,Hiromasa Habuchi 한국통신학회 2021 ICT Express Vol.7 No.4
Spread ALOHA systems that combine the spread spectrum techniques with the ALOHA system (a simple random access protocol without carrier sensing function) have been investigated as Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) protocols. This paper presents the effect of the nonorthogonal Code Shift Keying Spread Spectrum (CSK/SS) ALOHA system on improving the throughput and delay performances of the spread ALOHA system under the MANET environment. The nonorthogonal CSK/SS system, which uses systematically-constructed nonorthogonal sequences, is one of the multilevel modulation systems for the spread spectrum technique with increasing the number of bits per frame. Optimum parameters can be used to obtain the best system performance; thus, this paper gives analytical expressions of the data transmission efficiency and delay property of the proposed scheme as a function of the system parameters under the assumption of no power control. Numerical results show that the nonorthogonal CSK/SS ALOHA system is useful in the MANET environment, compared with the conventional spread ALOHA systems.
