        중생 고품질 내병 다수성 벼 ‘영보(嶺寶)’

        ‘Yeongbo’ is a variety of japonica rice (Oryza sativa L.) with good eating quality, resistance to rice stripe virus, rice dwarf virus, and bacterial blight disease. It was developed by the rice breeding team of the Yeongdeok Branch, National Institute Crop Science, Rural Development Administration in 2014. This variety was derived from a cross between ‘Yeongdeog35’ with good eating quality and ‘Saekyehwa’ with good plant type in the 2002 summer season. A promising line selected through the pedigree breeding method, YR24269-1-2-1-2-3-3, was designated as ‘Yeongdeog57’ in 2011. After a local adaptability test at nine locations from 2012 to 2014, ‘Yeongdeog57’ was released under the name of ‘Yeongbo’ in 2014. ‘Yeongbo’ had a short culm length of 66 cm and medium growth duration. This variety was resistant to K1, K2, and K3 races of bacterial blight, rice stripe virus, and dwarf virus, and moderately resistant to leaf blast disease. ‘Yeongbo’ had translucent and clear milled rice kernel without white core and belly, and good eating quality according to a panel test. The yield potential of ‘Yeongbo’ in milled rice was approximately 5.75 MT/ha at an ordinary fertilizer level in the local adaptability test. This cultivar would be adaptable to middle plain area, south plain area, Yeongnam plain area, east costal area, and south mid-mountainous area. (Registration No.6804)

      • Effects of the water of yellow soil, Ji-Jang-Soo on cell viability and cytokines production in immune cells

        Ji-Jang-Soo (JJS) is known to have a detoxification effect. However, it is still unclear how JJS has these effects in experimental models. In this study, we investigated the effect of JJS on the viability of cells and production of cytokines in human T-cell line, MOLT-4 cells, and human mast cell line, HMC-1 cells. The MOLT-4 cells were cultured for 24 h in the presence or absence of JJS. As the result, JJS (1/100 dilution) significantly increased the cell viability about 78% (P < 0.05) and also increased the interleukin (IL)-2, and interferon $(IFN)-{\gamma}$ production compared with media control at 24 h. But had no effect on IL-4 production. Hypoxia mimic compound, desferroxamine (DFX) decreased the immune cell viability. Cell viability decreased by DFX was increased by JJS. In conclusion, these data indicate that JJS may have an immune-enhancing effect.

        첨착 활성탄을 활용한 산성가스 제거 연구

        In this study, the acid gas adsorption characteristics of impregnated AC, which increased the chemical activity of AC and improved selective adsorption for specific components, were studied using lap-scale experimental devices. The three types of AC (general, KOH and K₂CO₃ impregnated) were identified by the analysis of SEM, BET and TGA. It was found that the surface area and the mass loss rate of AC differed depending on the type of impregnation contents. Subsequently, Three types of AC were evaluated for adsorption performance according to temperature. In addition, 20 wt% KOH impregnated AC conducted adsorption and breakthrough point of SO₂ and NO₂ gases. The breakthrough point of SO₂ and NO₂ is 15 and 7 minutes, respectively. The results of the experiment shown th t the adsorption efficiency of the impregnated AC was higher than that of the AC and was proportional to the temperature.

        The Effect of Extract from Sea Buckthorn on DNCB-induced Atopic Dermatitis in NC/Nga Mice

        Sea Buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides L.) has been used in traditional medicine for the treatment of cough, indigestion, circulatory problems and pain. The associated anti-inflammatory effect of this agent is achieved via the inhibition of Nf-${\kappa}B$ signaling, a property that has been demonstrated to effectively control the symptoms of various skin disorders, including atopic dermatitis. Accordingly, the purpose of this study was to assess the efficacy of Sea Buckthorn in reducing the production of lipopolysaccharide (LPS) activated nitric oxide (NO) by inhibiting the Nf-${\kappa}B$ pathway, as measured by the symptoms of atopic dermatitis (AD) occurring secondarily to inflammation and immune dysregulation. Our data demonstrate that Sea Buckthorn significantly decreased the LPS-induced production of NO (p<0.001). Atopic dermatitis was induced by repeated application of 2,4-dinitrochlorobenzene to the dorsal skin of mice. Topical application of 5% Sea Buckthorn extract improved the symptoms of AD, specifically reducing disease severity scores, scratching behaviors and epidermal thickness. When compared to the control group, animals treated with Sea Buckthorn exhibited increased serum IL-12 levels and decreased serum TNF-${\alpha}$, IL-4 and IL-5 levels. Such a modulation of biphasic T-helper (Th)1/Th2 cytokines may result in a reduction in serum IgE levels. Our findings suggest that mechanism of action of Sea Buckthorn in the treatment of AD is associated with a marked anti-inflammatory effect as well as an inhibition of Th2-mediated IgE overproduction via the modulation of biphasic Th1/Th2 cytokines. Such results suggest that topical Sea Buckthorn extract may prove to be a novel therapy for AD symptoms with few side effects.

But, most of the methodologies assume that a new system will be constructed and reused in the future these do not actually support efficiently how we reuse legacy system's resources and construct a new system. In this paper, we present an efficient Reverse Engineering Technique & Reengineering Process for reusing legacy systems, We describe efficient Reverse Engineering Technique & Reengineering Process's workflows with their own detail steps and verify them practically through the case study. So, we provide efficient guidelines to the software Reverse & Reengineering process construction which reuses the resources of a legacy system.

      • 광주천 본천상의 N-hexane 추출물에 관한 조사 연구

        Waste-water pollution of Kwangju river was examined for six months from May, 1983 to Oct, 1983. For checking the waste-water pollution, 5 sampling positions were selected from main river. The obtained results were as followings. 1) The concentration of N-hexane extraction matter in Kwangju river were increased gradually from 31.9ppm in July. 2) The average concentration of N-hexane extraction matter in mid-stream (sampling position in Kwangju bridge, Yangdong bridge and Kwangcheon bridge) was 12.4∼17.7ppm and in down stream(sampling position in Yuduck dong) was 23.6ppm. 3) In the relationship between N-hexane extraction matter and COD a strong and significant correlation coefficient(r=0.65) was calculated and the frequency distribute very closely along- the straight line equation, y=23.39x- 325.44. 4) From above facts the author found out that as the N-hexane extraction matter concentration in general river water coexist closely with other pollutant it is likely to be considered as new water pollution index.

      • 光州川의 水質汚染에 對한 硏究

        A study on the wate pollution of Kwangju stream by the relationship between physical-chemical condition and indicator planktons distribution by water quality level was examined at 6 sampling positions during the period from Mar, 25 to Jun, 25 1984. The results were as follows; 1. pH was in the range of 6.3∼7.6. 2. The mid-stream of Kwangju stream was the more severly polluted than the other sampling positions and the average range for it was 0.3∼3.9 ppm of DO, 62∼352 ppm of BOD, 5.3∼24 ppm of T-N and 2.3∼140 ppm of T-P. 3. The plankton identification in this period showed 5 genera 6 species of Cyanophycea, 11 genera 15 species of Bacillariophyceae, 9 genera 16 species of Chlorophyceae and 6 genera 7 species of protozoa: total 31 genera 44 species. 4. In biological water analysis, upper stream(sp. 1) showed from Oligosaprobic to β-mesosaprobic but the stream in the mid-town area polysaprobic. 5. In the mid-stream (BOD 62~352 ppm) dominant species were appeared Oscillatoria tennis of Cyanophyceae and Paramecium caudatum and Euglena sp. of Protozoa. 6. We would like to propose establishing sewage plants near to the upper-stream and the down-stream of Kwangju stream.

        Histiocytosis X is the abnormal proliferation of histiocytes and usually a massive aggregation of eosinophilic leukocytes. The clinical features and prognosises of subclasses of histiocytosis X depend on the severity and extent of the organ involvement. The subclasses include Letterer-Siwe disease(Acute disseminated histiocytosis X), eosinophilic granuloma, Hand-Schuller-Christian disease. Hand-Schuller-Christian desease(acute, subacute form) refers to the form of disease that is most often fatal because of the widespread skeletal, extraskeletal lesion; this usually affects infants and children less than 3 years of age. Eosinophilic granuloma(histiocytosis X, localized) refers to a chronic form of disease with skeletal lesion; It usually affects children and young adult. Hand-Schuller-Christian disease(chronic form) refers to a chronic form of disease with skeltal, extraskeletal lesions. It usually affects children over the age of 3 years. In our hospital, 8 year old female patient visited complaining of painful swelling of mandibular angle, right side. We diagnosed eosinophilic granuloma and curetted the lesiones and refered to Dept. pediatrics for chemotherapy. We present 2 cases to you with literatures.

        좌측 상순에 발생한 동정맥 기형 1증례

        AVMs is not a neoplasm, but a congenital developmental anomalies. In oral and maxillofacial area, the high recurrence rate and more facial disfigurement give a difficult problem to surgen and patient. Conventional treatment modality nowadays is presurgical embolization and surgical resection. In treatment planning, we consider the possibility of complete surgical resection and the esthetics of soft tissue reconstruction. But, two things are very difficult to achieve. We present a patient with AVMs in left upper lip, he had presurgical embolization with Ivalon and Bucrylate, and conservative surgical procedure. So we present this possible treatment modality.

      • 폐석재와 석분을 사용한 식생블럭 제품 개발

        본 연구는 폐석재와 석분을 사용하여 친환경적인 식생블럭 제품을 개발하기 위하여 폐석재의 입경과 석분의 첨가량을 각각 3종류씩 총 9종류의 식생블럭에 대하여 단위중량, 공극율, 투수량, 압축강도, 쪼갬인장강도, 휨강도, 내산성, 알카리농도에 대하여 구명하였다. 단위중량, 강도, 내산성은 골재의 입경이 작을수록 석분의 혼입량이 많을수록 크게 나타났으며, 공극율과 투수량은 작게 나타났다. 강도는 중성화 처리 유무에 따라 4∼5% 정도의 미소한 차이가 나타났다. 알카리 농도는 중성화 약품처리, 수중용출, 야외폭로 순으로 효과가 크게 나타났으며, 이는 식생블럭의 중성화 방법 선택에 매우 중요한 내용이라 할 수 있다. 또한, 식생상태는 공극율과 골재의 입경이 큰 식생블럭이 생육에 유리한 것으로 나타났다. This study was performed to develop the environment-friendly plantable block and to evaluate unit weight, void ratio, permeability, strength, acid-resistance and value of pH by the change of the grading of waste stone and the addition amount of stone dust. The unit weight, strength, acid-resistance is increased with small size of waste stone with increase of the addition amount of stone dust. But, the void ratio and permeability is decreased. The strength of neutral plantable block is decreased approximately 4-5% than that of the normal plantable block. The decreased effect of pH increased in order to neutral treatment, underwater leaching and field exposure. It is very important contents in neutral method selection of plantable block. Also, the planting state is grown rapidly with increase of the void ratio and of the waste stone size, approximately.
