Thi Nhung NGUYEN(Thi Nhung NGUYEN ),Minh Hoa NGUYEN(Minh Hoa NGUYEN ),Thi Phuong Anh VU(Thi Phuong Anh VU ),Thi Hoang Anh DO(Thi Hoang Anh DO ) 한국유통과학회 2023 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.10 No.1
This research aims to give information about the current situation of five financial sources for climate change in Vietnam, including (i) the State budget used by ministries; (ii) the State budget used by provinces; (iii) Bilateral funds; (iv) Multilateral funds; and (v) Private funds, and then classify them in line with the effectiveness. The working paper’s secondary data on spending on CC-related activities, collected from reports of six ministries and 29 provinces, show that the State budget has been crucial in subsidizing CC-related activities in Vietnam. Moreover, domestic investment has accounted for a major part of the total expenditure of ministries and provinces for climate change. In addition, by using primary data collected from surveys sent to twelve experts from 5 groups, such as researchers, practical experts, managers of private funding organizations (such as banks and enterprises), managers of international funding organizations and beneficiaries, and then analyzing the data through the AHP method, the study shows that all climate finance sources in Vietnam are still not very effective. However, private sector funds are considered the most effective financial source for responding to climate change.

Purpose: An omnichannel strategy creates a consistent brand image and customer experience across all channels, making it easier for customers to interact with a business and share information. This research aimed to investigated the relationship between consumers' information-sharing intention and their omnichannel experiences. Research design, data, and methodology: Through an online survey conducted in Vietnam, the study obtained 915 responses. The study used Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to analyze research data and confirm proposed research hypotheses. Results: Research results indicated that information-sharing intention is affected by both online and offline customer experience, and at the same time, the study also confirmed that omnichannel’s three characteristics (integration, individualization, interaction) positively impact on customer experience. Conclusions: From the research result, businesses may boost consumer trust and loyalty with the help of an omnichannel approach, which in turn increases customers' propensity to provide personally identifying information to the firm. One way to do this is to facilitate information exchange by delivering customized and relevant offers. Furthermore, companies show consumers the benefit of providing their data by utilizing it to enhance the customer experience.

In this research, three organic photocatalysts, 4-(4H-dithieno[3,2-b:2',3'- d]pyrrol-4-yl)-N,N-diphenylaniline, 4-(pyren-1-yl)-4H-dithieno[3,2-b:2',3'-d]pyrrole and 4-(6b,10-dihydroperylen-3-yl)-4H-dithieno[3,2-b:2',3'-d]pyrrole have been successfully synthesized through C-N coupling reactions. The chemical structures and the optical properties of the obtained organic photocatalysts have been characterized via 1H NMR,13C NMR, elemental analysis, and UV-Vis spectroscopy. Next, these dithieno[3,2-b:2′,3′-d]pyrrole-based photocatalysts have been used for the polymerization of methyl methacrylate, 2-(dimethylamino)ethyl methacrylate and tert-butyl methacrylate monomers under 365 nm UV irradiation, resulting in (meth)acrylate polymers with controlled molecular weights and low polydispersity indexes.

Vascular calcification is a serious complication of hyperphosphatemia that causes cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. Previous studies have reported that plasmalemmal phosphate (Pi) transporters, such as PiT-1/2, mediate depolarization, Ca2+ influx, oxidative stress, and calcific changes in vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs). However, the pathogenic mechanism of mitochondrial Pi uptake in vascular calcification associated with hyperphosphatemia has not been elucidated. We demonstrated that the phosphate carrier (PiC) is the dominant mitochondrial Pi transporter responsible for high Pi-induced superoxide generation, osteogenic gene upregulation, and calcific changes in primary VSMCs isolated from rat aortas. Notably, acute incubation with high Pi markedly increased the protein abundance of PiC via ERK1/2- and mTOR-dependent translational upregulation. Genetic suppression of PiC prevented Pi-induced ERK1/2 activation, superoxide production, osteogenic differentiation, and vascular calcification of VSMCs in vitro and aortic rings ex vivo. Pharmacological inhibition of mitochondrial Pi transport using butyl malonate (BMA) or mersalyl abolished all pathologic changes involved in high Pi-induced vascular calcification. BMA or mersalyl also effectively prevented osteogenic gene upregulation and calcification of aortas from 5/6 subtotal nephrectomized mice fed a high-Pi diet. Our results suggest that mitochondrial Pi uptake via PiC is a critical molecular mechanism mediating mitochondrial superoxide generation and pathogenic calcific changes, which could be a novel therapeutic target for treating vascular calcification associated with hyperphosphatemia.

Flowerlike gold nanostructure was facilely prepared by the seed-mediated growth of gold nanoparticles in chitosan-TPP template films. Firstly, chitosan nanoparticles, spontaneously formed by inter and/or intra cross-linking with TPP, were transformed into gel-type of chitosan-TPP films under strong sonication process. After then, gold seeds (1-3 nm) were entrapped in chitosan-TPP films via electrostatic interactions, and the resulting films were subsequently used as a template for growing gold nanoparticles and subsequent formation of anisotropic gold nanoflowers. The size and optical properties of gold nanoflowers were controlled simply by changing the ratio of gold salts to chitosan-TPP template films. Gold nanoflowers consisted of many aggregated nanodots exhibited broad Plasmon-derived absorption bands with strong red-shift into NIR wavelength, which might be a good prospect for SERS and biomedical applications.

Purpose While colorectal cancer (CRC) is common in Asian countries, screening for CRC is not. Moreover, CRC screening behaviors in Asian populations remain largely unknown. The present study aimed to investigate the stages of adopting CRC screening in Korea according to screening modality. Materials and Methods Data were obtained from the 2014 Korean National Cancer Screening Survey, a cross-sectional survey that utilized nationally representative random sampling to investigate cancer screening rates. A total of 2,066 participants aged 50-74 years were included in this study. Chi-square test and multinomial logistic regression were applied to determine stages of adoption for fecal occult blood test (FOBT) and colonoscopy and factors associated with each stage. Results Of 1,593 participants included in an analysis of stage of adoption for FOBT, 36% were in action/maintenance stages, while 18%, 40%, and 6% were in precontemplation, contemplation, and relapse/relapse risk stages, respectively. Of 1,371 subjects included in an analysis of stage of adoption for colonoscopy, 48% were in action/maintenance stages, with 21% in precontemplation, 21% in contemplation, and 11% in relapse/relapse risk stages. Multinomial logistic regression highlighted sex, household income, place of residency, family history of cancer, having private cancer insurance, smoking status, alcohol use, and regular exercise as being associated with stages of adoption for FOBT and colonoscopy. Conclusion This study outlines the distributions of stages of adoption for CRC screening by screening modality. Interventions to improve screening rates should be tailored to individuals in particular stages of adoption for CRC screening by modality.

Highly asymmetrical “flower-like” micron silver particles, so-called hierarchical silver meso-flowers (AgMFs), were facilely synthesized using ascorbic acid at room temperature in the presence of chitosan biopolymer. The time–evolution of TEM images and XRD analysis confirmed the anisotropic growth of AgMFs with single crystalline phase of which the formation mechanism was described in detail. The morphology and size of as-prepared AgMFs were tunable simply by changing the concentration of chitosan biopolymer and/or AgNO3 precursor under otherwise identical conditions. The asymmetrically textured AgMFs dramatically enhanced Raman signals of probe molecules (2-chlorothiophenol, 4-aminothiophenol) even at a single particle level because of their surface morphologies consisting of numerous nanoedges and crevices.

Graphic Abstract

ACS Electronic Supporting Info
