Amikacin is a semisynthetic derivative of kanamycin and primarily active against aerobic Gram-negative-pathogens with limited activity against Gram-positive bacteria. Meager study was reported on pharmacokinetic data on multi-days administration of amikacin. Hence, pharmacokinetics study was done in five clinically healthy goats (n = 5), after intravenous bolus injection of amikacin sulfate at the dose rate of 10 mg/kg body weight daily for three consecutive days. The amikacin concentrations in plasma and pharmacokinetics-parameters were analyzed by using microbiological assay technique and noncompartmental open-model, respectively. The mean peak plasma concentrations (Mean ${\pm}$ SD) of amikacin at time zero ($Cp^{0}$) was $114.19{\pm}20.78$ and $128.67{\pm}14.37{\mu}g/mL$, on day 1st and 3rd, respectively. The mean elimination half-life ($t_{1/2}ke$) was $1.00{\pm}0.28h$ on day 1st and $1.22{\pm}0.29h$ on day 3rd. Mean of area under concentration-time curve ($AUC_{0{\rightarrow}{\infty}}$) was $158.26{\pm}60.10$ and $159.70{\pm}22.74{\mu}g.h/mL$, on day 1st and 3rd respectively. The total body clearance ($Cl_{B}$) and volume of distribution at steady state (Vdss) on day 1st and 3rd were $Cl_{B}=0.07{\pm}0.02$ and $0.06{\pm}0.01L/h.kg$ and $Vdss=0.10{\pm}0.03$ and $0.11{\pm}0.05L/kg$, respectively. No-significant difference was noted in both drug-plasma concentration and pharmacokinetics-parameters, respectively. Amikacin concentration in plasma was found higher up-to 4 h and 6 h onward on down-ward trends favour to reduce toxicity. Which also support the pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic way of dosing of aminoglycosides and hence, amikacin may be administered 10 mg/kg intravenously daily to treat principally Gram-negative pathogens and limitedly Gram-positive-pathogens.
A characterization of generalized cyclic group

This paper demonstrates that a generalized cyclic group can be characterized in terms of the distributivity of its $L$-subgroup lattice wherein the join structure of a pair of $L$-subgroups is formulated with the help of the notion of tip extended pair of $L$-subgroups. Also using this join structure, the modularity of the lattice of normal $ L $-subgroups of a group $G$ is established. In the last section, we establish our main theorems by an application of subdirect product theorems.
Three-dimensional Microscopy of Fingerprints by Holographic Technique

We used holographic method to investigate two and three dimensional imaging of fingerprints. The reconstruction of digital hologram is based on the plane wave expansion of the diffracted wave-fields, using Fourier optic known as angular spectrum method (ASM). The object of hologram distance can be very mall distance without being limited by the minimum distance requirement. In this way, new application field was opened for nondestructive investigations of technical samples as well as marker-free and time-resolved analysis of fingerprint.

In this paper integrated magnetic current balancing (IMCB) cell-based asymmetrically configured Quad-Active-Bridge (QAB) converter is proposed. QAB converter provides high-frequency isolation for a dc-dc stage of solid-state-transformer (SST), as well as provides a modular solution to the SST medium-voltage (MV) dc link. The proposed IMCB cell ensures the current balancing among the three active H-bridges without using any dedicated controller when transferring equal power from MV to low voltage (LV) side. The proposed IMCB cell is the integration of three inductors of the active H-bridges required for power transfer and zero voltage switching (ZVS), which doesn’t require extra magnetic volume. Simulation and experimental results are presented to validate the performance.
The Role of Tourism in Economic Growth

This research investigates the role of tourism in promoting economic growth in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Annual data were collected from the World Bank for 2003–2019. Tested by basic statistics, correlation coefficient, unit root test by augmented Dickey-Fuller test and Phillips-Perron unit. Followed by Johansen co-integration test and finally, the co-integration regression test by fully modified ordinary least square (FMOLS), dynamic ordinary least square (DOLS) and Canonical co-integration regression (CCR). The stationarity test shows that tourism receipts, tourism expenditure, number of tourist arrivals, and economic growth become stationary at zero, and the first-order difference. Johansen co-integration test reveals long-run relationship among the parameters where economic growth is endogenous and others are exogenous variables. The FMOLS finding reveals that all the exogenous variables have a significant relationship, but the DOLS model reveals that two are significant out of three exogenous variables. Simultaneously, the CCR depicts that all the exogenous variables have a significant relationship with the endogenous variable. All the three co-integration models are significant and stable as predict by the Hansen Instability test and Jarque-Bera normality test. Hence, hypothesis 1 is accepted, and for hypothesis 2, the number of tourist arrivals has a strong relationship with economic growth compared to other parameters.

While previous studies have investigated the asymmetric behavior of the J-Curve effect using a Nonlinear ARDL methodology, our study employs disaggregated industry data to investigate this for the relation between Pakistan and US, China, and the UK. Our study contributes to the existing literature by estimating the J-curve phenomena between Pakistan and her four major trading partners; the US, China, the UK, and Japan at the industry level while allowing for asymmetry in the relationship between the exchange rate and the trade balance. The present study estimates both the linear and non-linear ARDL models for selected 22 industries in the USA, 09 industries in China, 27 industries in the UK, and 15 industries in Japan that trade with Pakistan. The empirical exercise shows that the industries having symmetric J-curve effect are 03 in the case of the US and Pakistan, 01 in the case of China and Pakistan, 04 in the case of the UK and Pakistan, and 04 in the case of Japan and Pakistan either considering the traditional definition or the advanced definition of the J-curve effect. According to the asymmetric approach to cointegration, the J-curve effect exists between Pakistan and the USA, China, the UK, and Japan in 11, 02, 09, and 04 industries respectively. The results show that asymmetry holds in the case of many industries. The study indicates the asymmetric behavior of exchange rate changes concerning the trade balance.
Enhanced TDMA based MAC Protocol for Adaptive Data Control in Wireless Sensor Networks

In this paper, we propose an adaptive time division multiple access based medium access control (MAC) protocol, called bitmap-assisted shortest job first based MAC (BS-MAC), for hierarchical wireless sensor networks (WSNs). The main contribution of BS-MAC is that: (a) It uses small size time slots. (b) The number of those time slots is more than the number of member nodes. (c) Shortest job first (SJF) algorithm to schedule time slots. (d) Short node address (1 byte) to identify members nodes. First two contributions of BS-MAC handle adaptive traffic loads of all members in an efficientmanner. The SJF algorithm reduces node’s job completion time and to minimize the average packet delay of nodes. The short node address reduces the control overhead and makes the proposed scheme an energy efficient. The simulation results verify that the proposed BS-MAC transmitsmore data with less delay and energy consumption compared to the existing MAC protocols.
