Falls are the most serious health problems in elderly population. They are a major cause of premature death, physical injury, immobility, psychosocial dysfunction, and nursing home placement. To reduce the alarming rate of falls and related excessive mortality and morbidity, efforts must be made to detect persons at risk of falling and to prevent or reduce the frequency of falls. To facilitate such approaches, it is essential to find the cause of falling (and under what conditions) of the elderly and the factors that are associated with risk of falling. This study was aimed at designing interventions that minimize risk of falling by ameliorating contributing factors while maintaining or improving patient's mobility.

Theoretical analysis is applied to obtain the basic information for the prevention of explosion in a rectangular enclosure with gaseous fuel leak. Characteristics of flammable mixture formation such as distribution of flow and fuel mass fraction at various locations in the enclosure are determined for the following parameters : leak location, leak velocity and aspect ratio. As the leak velocity and leak time increase, the flammable mixture extends faster and wider. The higher leak location is the futher mass transfer is downward due to the gravitational force. Aspect ratio of the rectangular enclosure also affects the formation of flammable mixture proportional to the leak time and the leak velocity.

Much work has been done on DSM(Distributed Shared Memory) system, which has the programming advantages of shared memory and the cost advantages of distributed memory. We survey the key issues of DSM system and describe the design of DSM, which has been designed for more flexibility and adaptability.

In this paper Research development about a micro metal forming manufacturing system has been developed. A micro forming system has been achieved in Japan and it's developed micro press is limited to single forming process. To coincide with the purpose to be more practical, research and development is necessary about the press which the multi forming process is possible. We set the development of the equipment including micro deep drawing, micro punching and micro restriking process to the goal. To achieve this goal, Research about micro forming process to be related to multi process forming must be preceded first. Material selection and analysis about micro forming process are accomplished in this paper. And the basis research to make actual system is accomplished.

혼합치열기 정상교합 아동 24명(남:14명 여:10명 초진 시 평균 나이 9±1.3세, 평균 관찰 기간: 13±1.3개월)에 대한 성장량을 측정하여 기능적 교정장치의 순수 치료효과를 평가하는데 도움이 되기 위해 3회(5~8개월 간격) 촬영한 측모 두부 방사선 규격 사진에 대한 분석 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 남아는 상악골은 전하방, 하악골은 전방성장하였고, 여아는 상하악골이 전하방 성장하였다(p<0.05). 2. 상하악골의 남녀간 차이에서 수평적 성장상태는 여아가 컸고(A point 여아: 2.39mm, 남아: 1.26mm, p<0.05), 수직적 성장상태는 유의한 차이가 없었다. 3. 상악 전치의 치축은 두개저에 대해서 순측 경사하였고(p<0.01) 하악 전치의 치축은 큰 변화가 없었다. The purpose of this study was to provide the reference data evaluating the treatment effect of orthopedic appliances. The skeletal and dental growth increments were measured in 24 normal mixed dentition children(boys: 14, girls: 10) by three serial lateral cephalograms: initial mean age: 9±1.3 years, mean observation period: 13±1.3 months, Cephalometric changes were analysed. The results were as follows: 1. In boys, the maxilla showed forward and downward growth pattern and the mandible showed forward growth pattern(p<0.05). In girls, the maxilla and mandible showed forward and downward growth pattern(p<0.05). 2. Horizontal growth of both maxilla and mandible in girls was superior to those in boys(A point: girls: 2.39mm, boys: 1.26mm, with p<0.05), whereas vertical growth of both maxilla and mandible in boys was similar to those in girls. 3. The change in tooth axis showed labioversion of upper incisor(p<0.01) and comparatively stable lower incisor position.
강상판 접합부의 피로균열 진전 시 STOP HOLE의 효과에 관한 연구

Orthotropic steel decks are used in long span and moving bridges because of their high strength to weight ratio. However the decks are subjectde to high dynamic stresses due to wheel loading by heavy goods vehicles so that they have to be assessed for fatigue cracking. The fatigue assessment of orthotropic decks is excluded from most bridge design codes because of the complexity of the stress distribution and the fact that bending stress may predominate whereas weld classification tables are based on axially. Orthotropic steel decks are very sensitive to fatigue damage because they are directly subjected to the actions of wheel loads which give rise to stress ranges which are high compared to the dead load stresses especially if the surfacing is thin. The cracking that devel9oped was caused by large imperfections that were fabricated in short transverse groove connections. To stop the crack development, Stop hole should be excavated. The purpose of this paper, serviceability was approved by comparing surveyed data and stress distribution by structural analysis around stop hole and confirmed by minimized stress due to the size of stop hole. Also, stress distribution around scallop was computed by structural analysis modelled as actual steel bridge, Gul-Hyun Grand Bridge.
