        This paper is intended as an investigation of fault location for underground line. Over the past few decades a considerable number of studies have been made on protection of underground line. However, these approaches require the interruption of electric power supply from source for fault location estimation. Therefore, we proposed fault location algorithm for underground line protection without interruption of electric power supply. Cross correlation function is used in this algorithm. Also, EMTP data is used to demonstrate the capability of the proposed fault location algorithm.

No effective antiviral therapy is proven yet, but clinical use of ribavirin (RBV) has been tried. We investigated the antiviral effect of RBV against SFTSV in vitro. Methods: To test for cytotoxicity of RBV, Vero cells were treated with different concentrations of RBV (3.90 to 500 μg/mL, two-fold dilution) and analyzed by cell viability MTS assay 48h post-infection. To determine antiviral activity of RBV against SFTSV, Vero cells were infected with SFTSV strain Gangwon/Korea/2012 at 100 TCID50 (50% tissue culture infective dose) per well in a 96-well plate, and RBV was added at the concentrations showing no or minimal cytotoxicity. Viral RNAs were extracted from the culture supernatants and quantifi ed using one-step real-time reverse transcription- PCR to amplify the partial large segment of SFTSV. Statistical analysis was done by one-way ANOVA with Tukey`s post hoc test. Results: Cytotoxicity due to RBV was not observed at RBV concentration =31.3 μg/ mL. Viral RNAs at 24h post-RBV treatment were reduced with increasing RBV concentrations (1-32 μg/mL), compared with those of mock-treated cells (P <0.01, Figure). Half maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) of RBV was 3.69 μg/mL at 24h post-RBV treatment. Conclusions: Our study shows that RBV has antiviral effect against SFTSV in a dose-dependent manner. Further studies are required to evaluate the effi cacy of RBV in SFTS.

        전자제품 조립업체 근로자에게 직무 요구, 직무 조직, 경력 개발, 역할 압력, 경제력 압력등의 직무 스트레스가 업무관련 상지 근골격계 질환에 미치는 영향

        목적: 직무스트레스를 직무 요구, 직무 조직, 경력개발, 역할 압력, 경제적 압력 등 요인별로 구분한 후 업무관련 상지 근골격제 질환과의연관성이 높은 직무 스트레스 요인을 도출하기 위한 목적으로 본 연구를 시도하였다. 방법: 이동전화기 부품 조립 업체 여성 근로자 112명, 전수, 냉장고 조립 업체 3개 부서 남성 근로자 237명 전수, 그리고 사무직 근로자 87명 전수 등 총 436명을 대상으로 업무관련 상지 근골격계 증상과 직무 스트레스에 관한 설문 조사를 실시하였다, 물리적 작업 요인은 작업 과정을 인간공학적 평가서로 평가하였다. 근골격계 증상과 직무 스트레스 평가서에 제대로 응답하지 않은 53명을 제외한 총 382명을 최종 분석대상으로 하여, 직무스트레스 요인에 대한 요인분석을 실시하고 적합성이 높은 요인별로 직무스트레스 요인을 구분한 후 로짓 희귀 분석으로 상지 근골격계 질환과의 연관성을 분석하였다. 결과: 각 연구 대상군에서 목과 어깨 부위의 증상 호소율이 가장 높았으며, 손목과 손가락 부위, 팔꿈치 부위 순이었다. 목과 어깨 부위와 손목과 손가락 ㅂ위에서 부적절한 작업 자세와 힘 요인의 연관성이 관찰되었으며, 직무의 단순성, 직무 구분의 모호성, 직무의 자율성 부재, 경제적 압력, 승진 장애, 퇴직 압력 등의 직무 스트레스 요인이 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 여서 조립 작업자에서 증상 호소율이 더 높았으며, 근골격계 질환과 직무 스트레스의 연관성의 강도는 남성 조립 작업자보다 여성 조립작업자와 사무직 근로자에서 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 결론: 본 연구 결과 물리적 작업 요인에 의한 영향을 보정한 후에도 사무직 근오자와 생산직 근로자 모두에서 직무 스트레스가 업무관련 상지 근골격계 질환에 영향을 미치는 것으로 해석할 수 있었으며, 특히 경제적 요인과 경력 개발 요인 들의 중요성이 부각되었다. 따라서 향후 직무 스트레스와 업무관련 상지 근골격계 질환에 대한 다양한 직종에서의 경험적 연구결과가 축적외어 우리 나라의 조직문화적 특성을 고려한 직무 스트레스 위험 요인 파악이 필요하다고 하겠다. Objects: To evaluate the association od upper extremity musculoskeletal disorders with job demand-control and effort-reward related job stress. Methods: Questionnaires concerning symptoms, psychosocial factors and work conditions were completed by 436 workers from a refrigerator assembly line, mobile phone assembly line, and an office, musculoskeletal conditions of the upper extremities were defined by the frequency, duration, and intensity of symptoms. A walk-through survey was performed to evaluate various physical work factors. Data were analyzed with the use of logistic regression. Results: A total of 32 workers completed the survey, for whom neck and shoulder symptoms were the most frequently reported, followed by finger and wrist, and then elbow symptoms. Both awkward working posture and forceful exertion were associated with an imcrease in shoulder/neck and finger/wrist symptoms. In addition, job stress factors such as monotony, low job clarity, low job control, low promotion prospect, economic issues, and retirement pressures were associated with increased neck/shoulder, elbow, and finger/wrist conditions. Women were more likely to report symptoms, and the association between musculoskeletal conditions and job stress factors was stronger in female assembly line workers and office workers than in male assembly line workers. Conclusions: The results suggest that musculoskeletal conditions of the upper extremities are associated with not only physical work factors but also job stress factors. In particular, economin issues and career development factors are important influences on workers in Korea.

        In conducting traffic safety programs, it is very important to identify hazardous sites in appropriate manner. Many experts in the traffic safety fields have performed researches to choose hazardous sites. The method of identifying hazardous sites which prevails in Korea is based on the traffic crash frequencies, which is inevitable because of insufficient database associated with the traffic crash data. This paper analyzed problem related to the method based on accident frequencies, and established an alternative which is named as frequency-quality control method, to make up for the weak points in the current method. As a result of test, the proposed method was reliable enough to be applied in the traffic safety program.

        항균성 동치미액의 첨가에 의한 냉면국물 중의 Listeria monocytogenes 및 Escherichia coli O157:H7 생육억제

        동치미액은 전통적으로 냉면국물로 이용되어왔다. 냉면국물의 미생물 오염문제를 해결하기 위하여 항균활성이 높은 김치 젖산균 Lactobacillus homohiochii B21과 Leuconostoc mesenteroides subsp. mesenteroides C16을 스타터로 혼합사용하여 동치미액을 제조하고, 이를 냉면국물에 100%, 50%, 10% 및 0% 첨가하여 20℃ 및 10℃에서 보관할 때에 동치미액의 항균력으로 인하여 의도적으로 첨가한 Listeria monocytogenes와 Escherichia coli O157:H7의 증식이 억제되는 정도를 조사하였다. 동치미액 100%인 냉면국물은 20℃에서 보관할 때에 Listeria monocytogenes는 8시간만에, Escherichia coli O157:H7는 40시간만이 10^6CFU/ml에서 10^0CFU/ml로 각각 급격히 사멸하였고, 10℃에서 보관할 때에도 시간경과에 따라 생균수가 급격히 감소하였으나 감소속도는 20℃에서 보관할 때보다 느렸다. 동치미액을 50% 첨가한 육수에서도 Listeria monocytogenes와 Escherichia coli O157:H7는 시간경과에 따라 급격히 감소하였으며, 감소속도는 동치미액 100%일 경우보다 느렸다. 동치미액을 10% 첨가한 육수는 20℃에서 보관할 때는 초기에 Listeria monocytogenes 및 Escherichia coli O157:H7의 균수증가가 약간 있었으나 동치미액 무첨가에 비하여 현저히 억제되었으며, 16시간 이후부터는 균수가 서서히 감소하였다. 동치미액을 첨가하지 않은 육수는 20℃에서 보관할 때는 초기부터 Listeria monocytogenes 및 Escherichia coli O157:H7의 균수증가가 급격히 이루어졌으며, 10℃에서 보관할 때는 24시간 이후부터 서서히 증가하였다. Listeria monocytogenes 및 Escherichia coli O157:H7에 대한 본 동치미액의 항균활성은 후자의 미생물보다 전자에 대하여 더욱 강하게 나타났다. 본 연구의 동치미액을 육수에 50% 첨가하여 냉면국물을 제조한다면 보관중의 미생물 오염문제 해결에 큰 도움이 될 것으로 판단된다. Juice of Dongchimi, a Korean traditional vegetable food fermented with lactic acid bacteria has been traditionary used as broth for Naengmyon, a Korean cold noodles with broth. This study was carried out to demonstrate the growth inhibition of two food born pathogens, Listeria monocytogenes and Escherichia coli O157:H7, in Naengmyon-broth containing Dongchimi-juice fermented with high antibacterial lactic acid bacteria, Lactobacillus homohiochii B21 and Leuconostoc mesenteroides C16. Naengmyon-broths were made with beef broth and Dongchimi-juice fermented with lactic acid bacteria, and the changes in viable cell counts of the inoculated pathogens in Naengmyon-broths were investigated during storage at 20℃ and 10℃. In Naengmyon-broth of 100% Dongchimi-juice stored at 20℃, the numbers of Listeria monocytogenes and Escherichia coli O157:H7 were rapidly decreased from 10^6CFU/ml to 10^0CFU/ml in 8 hours and 40 hours, respectively. In Naengmyon-broth containing 50% Dongchimi-juice, their numbers were also rapidly decreased, though the decreasing rates were not so fast as those in 100% Dongchimi-juice. In Naengmyon-broth containing 10% Dongchimi-juice, the growths of the two pathogens were markedly inhibited, compared with those in 100% beef broth, though some growths were occurred in early phase. But in Naengmyon-broth of 100% beef broth, their growths were very fast from early. Antibacterial activity of the Dongchimi-juice was more distinct at 20℃ than at 10℃, and was more active against Listeria monocytogenes than against Escherichia coli O157:H7.

        Falls are the most serious health problems in elderly population. They are a major cause of premature death, physical injury, immobility, psychosocial dysfunction, and nursing home placement. To reduce the alarming rate of falls and related excessive mortality and morbidity, efforts must be made to detect persons at risk of falling and to prevent or reduce the frequency of falls. To facilitate such approaches, it is essential to find the cause of falling (and under what conditions) of the elderly and the factors that are associated with risk of falling. This study was aimed at designing interventions that minimize risk of falling by ameliorating contributing factors while maintaining or improving patient's mobility.

        단속적 검사에서 스트레스한계를 가지는 램프스트레스시험을 위한 비모수적 추정

        This paper considers a nonparametric estimation of lifetime distribution for ramp stress tests with stress bound under intermittent inspection. The test items are inspected only at specified time points and so the collected observations are grouped data. Under the cumulative exposure model, two nonparametric estimation methods of estimating the lifetime distribution at use condition stress are proposed for the situation which the time transformation function relating stress to lifetime is a type of the inverse power law. Each of items is initially put on test under ramp stress and then survivors are put on test under constant stress, where all failures in the inspection interval are assumed to occur at the midpoint or the endpoint of that interval. Two proposed estimators of quantile from grouped data consisting of the number of items failed in each inspection interval are numerically compared with the maximum likelihood estimator(MLE) based on Weibull distribution.

        It makes the rational decision making more critical that the complexity, importance of marketing decision and the radical change of marketing environment followed by technical innovation. Therefore, this study aim to review the Analytic Hierarchy Process which could help a marketing manager to come to a rational decision making, to study the analyzing procedure by the software of AHP for personal computer applied to the case of marketing decision which developed for this study. For the purpose, we premised the decision making as a consecutive three process; intelligence, design and choice. Analytic Hierarchy Process should be an useful tool for the third one. From the application of the case of marketing decision to AHP, it revealed that the analytical and systematic approach were essential. Expert Choice, which is a software of AHP for personal computer, compelled the decision maker to analyze the case in terms of at least three hierarchies; goal, objectives and alternatives. In short, AHP enable the decision maker to incorporate all the facts, and to compare of which through addition and subtraction so that he/she could lead to a reasonable decision or re-evaluate it for an advanced decision.
