        Tourism is the largest commodity in international trade. Tourism has grown rapidly to become a major social and economic force in the world. Cultural tourism covers all aspects of travel whereby people learn about each other's ways of life and thought. Tourism is thus an important means of promoting cultural relations and international cooperation. It is used to promote not only knowledge and understanding but also a favorable image of the local region among tourists in the travel market. The channels through with a region presents itself to tourist can be considered its cultural factors. These are the entertainment, food, ink, hospitality, architecture, manufactured and handcrafted products of a country, and all other characteristics of a country's way of life. The useful clues are as follows; First, Successful tourism is not simply a matter of having better transportation and hotels but of adding a particular flavor in keeping with traditional ways of life and projecting a favorable image of the benefits to tourists of such goods and services. Second, cultural attractions must be presented intelligently and creative- By. In this age of uniformity, the products of one region are almost indistinguishable from those of another. Third, many activities that are not educational or cultural in a narrow sense provide opportunities for people of different regions to get to know each other. Finally, in anticipation of World Cup Games in 2002, ASEM, this study for Cultural Tourism Event Industry should be reinforced and reexamined deeply relating to the constant changing macro environment and market situation in Korea.

      • 과량의 Vitamin A가 Rat 태자에 미치는 영향

        For the study on the effects of vitamin A on the rat fetuses, 500mg/kg of retinol palmitate was administered orally once at the day 8.5 of gestation. In this study, the Sprague-Dawley rats were used as an experimental animal, which was divided into control and retinol palmitate treated groups. The animals were sacrificed under ether anesthesia at the day 12.5, 13.5, 14.5, 15.5 and 16.5 of gestation, laparotomized and hysterectomized. After counting the pregnant sacs, opened the sacs and removed the fetuses under stereoscopic observations, - fetal status, congenital malformations and other external anomalies etc.. The weight of live fetuses was measured and analysed it statistically, and compared the growth curves between 2 groups. The results were as follows ; 1. The survival rate of fetuses in the retinol palmitate treated group was lower significantly than that of control group except the day 12.5 of gestation. The rate was lowered daily from the day 12.5 to the day 16.5 of gestation. 2. The mean body weight of fetuses was lowered in the retinol palmitate treated group significantly from the day 12.5 to the day 16.5 of gestation, daily. 3. The congenital anomalies induced by retinol palmitate in this experiment were anencephaly, exencephaly and severe underdevelopment. According to the above results, it is considered that the retinol palmitate induces intrauterine fetal death caused by major congenital anomalies such as exencephaly and anencephaly, and delay the fetal growth by inhibition of differentiation and proliferation during organogenesis. But the exact mechanism of action cannot be known. And it is necessary to study the effects of retinol palmitate on the growth of fetuses with its congenital anomalies should be done with changing the dose, method of administration and the duration of treatment.

      • Helicobacter pylori와 대장균의 Shuttle Vector 개발

        In this study, a vehicle vector using cryptic plasmids was constructed for gene transfer in Helicobacter pylori. pHP51(3.9 kb) and pHP489(1.2 kb) were selected for constructing vectors from cryptic plasmid of H. pylori isolates in Korea. The HindⅢ-digestedDNA fragment(1.2kb) of pHP489 and 1.6kb DNA fragment of pHP51 were ligated with a kanamycin resistance gene(aph3'-Ⅲ) from C. jejuni to produce the recombinant plasmids pHP489K and pHP51K, respectively. Transformation frequency of pHP51K by electroporation was low. But pHP489K could be effectively transformed into various H. pylori strains. In order to design an intermdiate vehicle vector for gene transfer into H. pylori, pBlueHP489K was prepared by recloning pHP489K DNA into pBluescript and pTZ19R vector. This vector permitted the DNA fragment containing pHP489 sequence, aph3'-Ⅲ, and cloned DNA to be cut and self-ligated in the SacⅠ site after cloning. ureA and ureB gene were inserted into pBlueHP489K, resulting in pBlueHP489K/AB. The DNA fragment containing pHP489, kanamycin resistance gene(aph3'-Ⅲ), and urease structural gene was cut away from pBlueHP489K/AB and self-ligated to generate pBlueHP489K/AB. pBlueHP489K/AB made urease-negative H. pylori strains restore their urease activity. By this experiment, pBlueHP489K was confirmed to be the vehicle system for transferring H. pylori genes.

        The purpose of this study is to find out how the design knowledge of traditional architecture is applied in contemporary architecture as a design concept. Design, so called creative work, is always represented in various forms, according to its outskirts such as human, social and natural environment and also periodical varieties. Also architects have been creating his objects based on design vocabularies which they have accumulated through experiences. In this context contemporary architecture has been using the design elements adopted from the traditional architecture as its design vocabulary. Therefore, this research is to find out how traditional architectural design methods, as well as knowledge are represented as a design concept in process of architectural design.

        Aminopeptidase M 저해제인 Valistatin과 des-Asp^4-Amastatin을 생산하는 방선균 SL20209의 특성 및 동정

        Aminopeptidase M 저해제인 valistatin과 des-asp^4-amastatin을 생산하는 방선균 분리주 SL20209의 특성을 조사하고 수리동정을 실시하였다. 형태적, 배양학적 및 생리적 특성으로 부터 SL20209는 방성균 중에서도 Streptomyces 속에 속하는 것으로 나타났으며, 43개의 분류단위 특성으로 TAXON program을 이용하여 수리동정한 결과, 주군집 29의 Streptomyces 중 Streptomyces griseoplanus와 가장 근접한 것으로 나타났다. 따라서, 분리주 SL20209를 S. griseoplanus SL20209로 동정하였다. Characterization and numerical identification were carried out for an actionmycetes SL20209. Morphological, cultural and physiological properties of SL20209 which produced valistatin and des-asp^4-amastatin as inhibitors of aminopeptidase M were evaluated. The isolate was identified to be the genus of Streptomyces. Fourty-three taxonomic units were analysed by using a TAXON program. The isolate was classified into the major cluster 29 of Streptomyces and best-matched to Streptomyces griseoplanus.

      • Helicobacter pylori 편모 유전자의 클로닝 및 염기서열 분석

        A λgt11 expression libary of H. pylori DNA in E. coli Y1090 was screened with flagellin-specific rabbit antiserum for molecular cloning of the flagellin gene of H. pylori. A positive clone, λHPF4, was obtained and the recombinant antigen expressed from λHPF4 was a fusion protein with the molecular weight of 168kd. Sequence analysis of antigen-encoding DNA showed that an open reading frame composed of 1,536 nucleotides encodes a polypepride with a oredicted molecular size of 54kd. This open reading frame did not show the homology with flaA gene encoding 56kd protein of H. pylori and was confirmed as a unique sequence through homoligy searching. Therefore, the cloned antigen is supposed to be the carboxy-terminal region of the other flagellin protein of H. pylori, flaB, with the molecular weight of 58kd.

      • 복싱선수의 평형성에 관한 연구

        1. On this study, to evaluate the equilibrium function of the boxers. We measured the Both legs Standing Up Test in two cases, eyes open and eyes closed, for 30seconds and check the range of the displacement of moving distance of center and the prependicular component of force through the test of the equilibrium function in the condition of the board among the boxing team, Basketball team, and the ordinary adult male group using the force plate. 1) There is possibility of the low equilibrium function of boxers compared with others. One of the reasons is the repeated small head injuries which are the characteristic of Boxing Game. 2) We could find out the appreciation of the head injuries is significant in the boxing game place through the equilibrium Test. 2. We took a video of a game of an amateur boxer who was the National Entry of Japan at the Light Weight in Barcelona Olympic Games and performed the condition checks of self consciousness and the Simplicity equilibrium function for 36 days just before and after the game. We could find out following. 1) According to the analysis of Video, we could find out the fact that the winner of the game was hit by the punch which could be connected with the damage several times, and he also had the change of the headache in the condition checks of self consciousness.

        한천, Sodium Alginate 및 Carrageenan첨가가 유과(부수게)바탕의 품질에 미치는 영향

        This study was to evaluate effects of agar, sodium alginate and carrageenan on quality of Yugwa(Busuge) base. In the base preparation agar, sodium alginate and carrageenan were added 0.0, 0.1, 0.5, 1.0 and 3.0%(w/w), respectively. Volume, shape, hardness. color(L, a and b value), crude lipid content and sensory evaluation(taste and crispness) of the Yugwa base was measured. Volume of the base was higher than control in case of 0.1~0.5%(w/w) agar, sodium alginate and carrageenan, of which sodium alginate was the highest. Shapes were similar to control. Hardness and crude lipid content was decreased proportional to amount of addition of the three seesweed polysaccharides. the whiteness(L-value) was increased but the yellowness(a-value) and the redness(bvalue) decreased. Taste and crispness were increased in the case of 0.1~1.0%(w/w) of sodium alginate, but agar and carrageenan decreased.
