Chromium occurs naturally in the earth's crust as well as in air, surface, and ground water. However, chromium is released to the environment in much larger amounts as a result of human activities. Hexavalent chromium, Cr(Ⅵ), is very soluble in water in natural environment and very toxic, carcinogenic, and mutagenic in animal and man. On the other hand trivalent chromium, Cr(Ⅲ), is less toxic and less soluble and thus is a lesser problem. This study has been carried out in order to reduce toxicity of Cr(Ⅵ) by an Escherichia coli strain. After adding E. Coli., the results were obtained from concentration of total Cr, Cr(Ⅵ). Cr(Ⅲ), pH, turbidity, and VSS in aerobic condition was summarized as follows : After 48hr aerobic condition in experiment of synthetic wastewater, the reduction rate of Cr(Ⅵ) was 20%. Also, the reduction rate of Cr(Ⅵ) was 60% in experiment of raw wastewater.

Spent pig bone was consist of hydroxyapatite. And then we thought that it have a possibility as a adsorbent. The preparation of bone char prepared from spent pig bone in this study. We study on the recycling possibility as a adsorbent is able to adsorb copper ion from their single aqueous solutions. The results are summarized as follows. Bone char that prepared from spent pig bone at 105, 400, 700℃. The adsorption removal efficiency of copper ion onto bone char as adsorbent was above 90% for 15 hours. Increase in the initial pH of the copper ion solution result in an increase in the copper ion uptake per unit weight of the adsorbent. Freundlich isotherm model was found to be applicable for the experiment data of copper ion. The results showed that spent pig bone can be used for the absorption of the copper ion.

This study was carried out to remove copper ion in case of activated carbon impregnated sulphur(ACS) dose and different pH using activated carbon impregnated sulphur that prepared from activated carbon at sulphur dioxide atmosphere. Removal copper ion concentration was increased as increasing the ACS dose when copper ion concentration was 10 mg/L. Optimum dose of ACS 13.3 g ACS/L and maximum removal efficiency was 93%. The results obtained from adsorption experiment in the condition of ACS optimum dose when the pH was 3, 4, 5 respectively was pH 5 was excellent.

The training sequence with the appropriate length for equalization and initial synchronization is necessary before sending the pure data in the burst transmission type DS-UWB system. The length of the training sequence is one of the factors which make throughput decreased. The noble structure with the variable length of the training sequence whose length can be adaptively tailored according to the channel conditions (CM1,CM2,CM3,CM4) in the DS-USB systems is proposed. This structure can increase the throughput without sacrificing the performance than the method with fixed length of training sequence considering the worst case channel conditions. Simulation results under IEEE 802.15.3a channel model show that the proposed scheme can achieve higher throughput than a conventional one with the slight loss of BER performance. And this structure can reduce the computation complexity and power consumption with selecting the short length of the training sequence.

The wireless sensor network (WSN) based on ad hoc network is applied to vehicle parking guide system without parking guide man at area or building with large scale of parking lots. The optimum number of cluster heads was derived for getting the minimum power consumption as well as time delay. Through the theoretical analysis of power consumption and time delay with the number of cluster heads in wireless sensor network, it was found that there exists the minimum point in the variation of power consumption and time delay according to the number of cluster heads.
