        The objective of this study was to clarify the effect of addition of green tea powder(0%, 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%)each to Yackwa on quality and preservation. Addition of 4% green tea powder turned out to give positive effect on expansion. Addition of green tea powder to test physical character showed a tendency to lower hardness, cohesiveness, springness and gumminess but to enhance brittleness. For the sensory test, overall quality appeared to have improved or unchanged compared to control sample when the powder was added 2% and 4%.(p<0.05). In conclusion, 4% addition of green tea powder would be a usefull method to enhance preference and quality of Yackwa.

      • 부영양화 방지를 위한 정석탈인법의 응용성 제고 연구

        The purpose of this study is to develop phosphorus removal technology by crystallization on various materials for prevention eutrophication. This study was based on precipitation mechanism and was performed to see phosphorus removal efficiency of activated carbon, anthracite, aluminium and wasted concrete etc. The results obtained from this study are following ; The granular activated carbon coated with dissolved clamshell showed good removal efficiency, 82% of phosphorus. For anthracite after coating, 49% of phosphorus was removed. Other materials such as aluminium and wasted concrete could remove 40% and 48% of phosphorus, respectively. Judging from the results from this research, this technology can be applied for prevention of eutrophication and algal bloom in the lakes.

        녹차분말 첨가가 약과의 품질과 저장성에 미치는 영향

        The objective of this study was to clarify the effect of addition of green tea powder(0%, 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%) to Yackwa on quality and preservation. Addition of 4% green tea powder turned out to give positive effect on expansion. In test of physical characters, addition of green tea powder had a tendency to lower hardness, cohesiveness, springness and gumminess but to enhance brittleness. Considering the rancidity of oil within Yackwa, addition of green tea powder tended to show lower acid value and peroxide value than non-added treatment but its difference was slight. At the sensory test, surface color, bitterness and green tea flavor were strong but sweet and savory taste weak when green team powder was added(p〈0.05). Overall quality appeared to have improved to 5.55 points which is compared to non-addition when the powder was added 4%(p〈0.05). In conclusion, 4% addition of green tea powder would be the usefull method to enhance preference and quality of Yackwa.

      • 기계적 처리와 금속촉매 오존산화에 의한 슬러지 감량화

        This research investigated the effect of mechanical pretreatment and ozone/catalytic oxidation on the reduction of sewage sludge. The pretreatment process was carried out to enhance sludge solubilization. The degree of solubilization was evaluated based on the DR. TS 1∼4% sludge was treated by ball mil using glass beads of 1 mm in diameter with the 50% (v/v) zircon bead loading. TS 4% showed 4 times higher solubilization efficiency than that of untreated sludge. The combination of the mechanical pretreatment and ozone/catalytic oxidation(10 mg Mn/g TS) showed higher efficiency than ozone/catalytic oxidation. At the 40% solubilization efficiency of sludge achieved by using ball mill, combination treatment showed 3 times higher than control. Ozone/catalytic oxidation improved the solid reduction effectively in the lower pH, presumably due to a high production of OH radical.

        This paper presents an object-oriented design for a video conversation system. This paper adapts the traditional client/server architecture and uses JMF for process media transmission. It starts from the analysis of functional/non-functional requirements and it documents the model of the system based on'4+1 View Model.' The manifest in this paper will be used usefully to design a system for cyber university or visual conference based audio/video media transmission.

      • 습식 생산방식에 의한 재생 잔골재를 사용한 콘크리트의 중성화 저항성 및 건조수축에 관한 실험적 연구

        The purpose of this study was to provide durability data of concrete using recycled fined aggregate which was produced through a wet production process for making it sure whether it can be put to practical use for concrete. In the experiment, recycled fine aggregate was substitute for natural fine aggregate the rate of 0, 25, 50, 75 and 100% each. The results of the study were as follows; 1 The depth of neutralization was become deeper according to the increase of substitutive ratio of recycled fine aggregate. 2 The performance of length alternation was fallen gradually according to the increase of substitutive ratio of recycled fine aggregate. Hut, it showed the similar durability with concrete using natural fine aggregate fewer than 50% substitution ratio. Bused on the above results, it is concluded that the recycled fine aggregate through the wet production process can be used IS fine aggregate on condition that the substitution ration is under 50%.

      • Dextromethorphan 이 마우스의 비장세포 증식능과 cytokine 생성능에 미치는 영향

        Dextromethorphan hydrobromide (DXM) has been widely used as a nonopioid antitussive drug and is a psychotropic drug since 2003 in our country. This study was performed to investigate the immunotoxicity of DXM by assay of splenocytes proliferation (SP) and induction of cytokine (IFN-γ, IL-4) in vitro. When mouse splenocytes were exposed to various concentration of DXM (0.001, 0.01, 0.1, 1, 10, 100μM) and cultured with T cell mitogen (Con A) or B cell mitogen (LPS), SP to Con A and LPS were significantly decreased at high concentration (100μM) when compared with controls. When splenocytes were cultured with DXM in the presence of Con A, levels of IFN-γ in culture supernatant were slightly decreased at low concentration, and significantly decreased at high concentration (100μM). DXM also suppressed IL-4 secretion significantly at 100μM, however, increased the production of IL-4 at lower concentration when compared with control group. This study provides the substantial evidence on DXM-induced alternation in cell-mediated and humoral immunity.

      • 새로운 백금착체인 tetrachloro [bis(2-chloroethyl)ethylenediamine-N,N']platinum(IV)과 cisplatin이 마우스의 면역반응에 미치는 영향

        Effects of a new platinum complex, tetrachloro-[bis(2-chloroethyl) ethylenediamine-N,N']platinum(IV)[PtCl₄-2(CEen)] and cisplatin on the immune response were investigated. Male ICR mice were treated at the respective LD50(20% or 60% LD50) of cisplatin and PtCl₄-2(CEen). The results were as following : LD50 of PtCl₄-2(CEen) for male ICR mouse was 122.5mg/kg(i.p.) and higher than cisplatin(16.3mg/kg, i.p.). Body-, spleen-, thymus-, liver-weight, number of WBC and RBC were reduced dependently on the dose and day of administeration of cisplatin and PtCl₄-2(CEen). But these toxicities produced by PtC^-^CEen) appeared to be relatively less and to improve faster than by cisplatin. The titers of hemagglutinin and hemolysin to SRBC in mice received cisplatin and PtCl₄-2(CEen) were decreased significantly and independently on the day of antigen injection. Cisplatin and PtCl₄-2(CEen) stimulated significantly contact hypersensitivity to DNFB when administered prior to sensitization(DNFB), but suppressed slightly when administered after sensitization.

      • 고등학교 생물 '생명의 연속성' 단원 분석 : 탐구 활동을 중심으로

        Recent advances in biotechnology has centered around the field of genetics. Although the likely benefits of biotechnology is obvious, it is assuring that the potential risks has to be carefully weighed. It also rasied new social and ethical issues in everyday life experiences. Thus, biology education especially in the units on biotechnology and genetics should emphasize social implications of the technology. In this study, the "Continuity of Life" unit in high school biology Ⅱ curriculum was analyzed in the context of Science, Technology and society(STS). The unit, "Continuity of Life", describes basic genetic phenomena and evolution of life. five different high school biologyⅡ textbooks were chosen and inquirty content dimension, and the inquiry process dimension. Analyses of the inquiry content dimension showed that 40.6% of inquiry activities in the unit were devoted to the evolution part and those for cell division, reproduction and development, and Mendelian genetics were at most 8.7%, 13.0%, and 16.0%, respectively. In the inquiry process dimension. ´interpreting data and formulating generalization´ and ´observation and measuring´categories consist of 81.1%. The other categories, ´seeing a problem and seeking ways to solve it´and ´building, testing, and revising the theoretical model´were under represented. In the context dimension, the scientific context consists of 73.0% and the proportion of the other three categories, individual context, the social context, and the technical context was only 26.1% in total. In conclusion, the analysis of inquiry activities on the "Continuity of Life" unit in five textbooks composed based upon the Sixth Curriculum of High School Education failed to show intimate relationship between science and society and simply concentrated on description and explanation of scientific facts. Provided the fact that the Biology Ⅱ is used in the highchool class for students who want to be future natural science majors of who show special interests in natural science, it is important for students to understand the ethical and social issues that recent biotechnology rasied and to become scientifically literate and responsible persons.
