El Amrani, Mustapha,Lai, Daowan,Debbab, Abdessamad,Aly, Amal H.,Siems, Karsten,Seidel, Carole,Schnekenburger, Michael,Gaigneaux, Anthoula,Diederich, Marc,Feger, Daniel,Lin, Wenhan,Proksch, Peter American Chemical Society and American Society of 2014 Journal of natural products Vol.77 No.1
<P>A chemical investigation of the endophytic fungus <I>Epicoccum nigrum</I> isolated from leaves of <I>Mentha suaveolens</I> collected in Morocco resulted in the isolation of five new polyketides, epicocconigrones A and B (<B>1</B> and <B>2</B>), 3-methoxyepicoccone B (<B>3</B>), 3-methoxyepicoccone (<B>4</B>), and 2,3,4-trihydroxy-6-(methoxymethyl)-5-methylbenzaldehyde (<B>5</B>), together with five known compounds (<B>6</B>–<B>10</B>). The structures of the new compounds were unambiguously determined by extensive analysis of the 1D and 2D NMR and mass spectroscopic data. Compounds <B>1</B> and <B>10</B> showed potent inhibition of at least 15 protein kinases with IC50 values ranging from 0.07 to 9.00 μM. Moreover, compounds <B>1</B> and <B>10</B> inhibited histone deacetylase (HDAC) activities with IC50 values of 9.8 and 14.2 μM, respectively. A preliminary structure–activity relationship is discussed. Interestingly, compounds <B>1</B> and <B>10</B> exert mainly cytostatic effects in human lymphoma RAJI and U-937 cell lines.</P><P><B>Graphic Abstract</B> <IMG SRC='http://pubs.acs.org/appl/literatum/publisher/achs/journals/content/jnprdf/2014/jnprdf.2014.77.issue-1/np4005745/production/images/medium/np-2013-005745_0008.gif'></P><P><A href='http://pubs.acs.org/doi/suppl/10.1021/np4005745'>ACS Electronic Supporting Info</A></P>
A New Robust Face Detection Method Based on Corner Points
Samir El Kaddouhi,Abderrahim Saaidi,Mustapha Abarkan 보안공학연구지원센터 2014 International Journal of Software Engineering and Vol.8 No.11
This paper describes a method of faces detection based on skin color, face shape and corner points. The skin regions are detected by the segmentation of image with a threshold calculated by a combination of rules proposed on elements of the three color spaces RGB, HSV and YCbCr. Next, the geometric constraints (surface, ratio, eccentricity) are applied to eliminate the skin regions detected that do not have a shape similar to a human face. Then the corner points of Harris are used to verify the existence of eyes in the regions detected. The results obtained are satisfactory in terms of the quality of detection and rapidity.

Backfilling of mine stopes with waste rocks or tailings is commonly done to enhance ground stability. It is also an alternative for mining wastes disposal. A successful application of underground backfilling requires an accurate evaluation of the stress distribution in stopes. Over the years, various analytical solutions have been proposed to assess these stresses. Most of them were based on the arching theory, considering uniform stresses across horizontal layer elements. The vertical and horizontal stresses in vertical stopes are principal stresses only along the vertical center line, but not close to the walls where there is rotation of the principal stresses. A few solutions use arc layer elements that follow the iso-contours of the minor principal stresses, based on numerical solutions. In this paper, a modified analytical solution is developed for the stresses in vertical backfilled stopes, considering a circular arc distribution. The proposed solution is calibrated with a few numerical modeling results and then validated by additional numerical simulations under different conditions.

<P>We report on the absorption of a 100nm thick hydrogenated amorphous silicon layer patterned as a planar photonic crystal (PPC), using laser holography and reactive ion etching. Compared to an unpatterned layer, electromagnetic simulation and optical measurements both show a 50% increase of the absorption over the 0.38-0.75micron spectral range, in the case of a one-dimensional PPC. Such absorbing photonic crystals, combined with transparent and conductive layers, may be at the basis of new photovoltaic solar cells.</P>
Extending and Refining Some Inequalities for the Beta Function in n Variables
Raissouli, Mustapha,El-Soubhy, Salma Ibrahim Department of Mathematics 2021 Kyungpook mathematical journal Vol.61 No.4
The fundamental goal of this paper is to investigate some inequalities involving the special beta function in n variables. Our theoretical results obtained here are extensions and refinements for some inequalities already discussed in the literature.
Indirect Position and Speed Sensing for PMSM Sensorless Control
Driss Yousfi,Mustapha El Adnani 전력전자학회 2007 ICPE(ISPE)논문집 Vol.- No.-
This paper present a position and speed estimation algorithm based on measurement of phase currents and voltages and a pre-knowledge of the machine model. The aim is to elaborate an accurate estimator in accordance with some specifications, especially the ability to cancel any initial position error and robustness toward a dc-disturbance measured within the electric measurements. In earlier work, an old version of this method was investigated for open-loop position and speed estimation of permanent magnet motor. The present work provides complete description and Real-Time implementation of the method incorporated into sensorless vector control.
Evidence for the onset of color transparency in ρ0 electroproduction off nuclei

We have measured the nuclear transparency of the incoherent diffractive A(e,e'ρ0) process in 12C and 56Fe targets relative to 2H using a 5 GeV electron beam. The nuclear transparency, the ratio of the produced ρ0@?s on a nucleus relative to deuterium, which is sensitive to ρA interaction, was studied as function of the coherence length (lc), a lifetime of the hadronic fluctuation of the virtual photon, and the four-momentum transfer squared (Q2). While the transparency for both 12C and 56Fe showed no lc dependence, a significant Q2 dependence was measured, which is consistent with calculations that included the color transparency effects.
Secure Hierarchical Routing Protocols in Wireless Sensor Networks: a Comparative Analysis
Ibrihich Ouafaa,Esghir Mustapha,Krit Salah-ddine,El Hajji Said 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Software Engineering and Vol.10 No.11
In recent years, the security in Wireless sensor networks becomes a good topic for researchers; it is a challenge task due to inheritance limitations of sensors. Besides, security becomes extremely crucial factor when sensor networks are randomly deployed in a hostile environment. Routing in WSNs is the vital functionality that allows the flow of information generated by sensor nodes to the base station, while considering the severe energy constraint and the limitations of computational and storage resources. However, security of these routing protocols has fallen beyond the scope so far. As sensor nodes may be easily captured and compromised, the classical cryptographic solutions become insufficient to provide optimal routing security, especially, for hierarchical WSNs, where cluster heads can be still among the compromised nodes. In this work, we focus at secure hierarchical routing protocols in wireless sensor networks and represent selected approaches which focusing at this matter. The purpose of this paper is to create a simulation of these protocols using NS2. Then, we analyze to what extend they have been applied to the clustering structure and compare them in terms of security, security issues for WSNs and their solutions are also discussed.

The genetic diversity of Beauveria bassiana was investigated by comparing 40 isolates collected from summer and overwintering populations of Sunn pest from different areas in Syria and Turkey, using amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) markers. Considerable genetic variability among B. bassiana isolates was revealed. The examined isolates were divided into three distinct clusters (A, B, and C). Within these clusters, the summer isolates from Syria and Turkey were grouped together in three sub-clusters (A3, A4, and B2). Also, principal coordinate analyses (PCA) showed clear separation (62.5%) between summer and winter isolates. These differences in the genetic structure may be explained by the variety of eco-geography over the sampled areas of B. bassiana isolates. This information on genetic variation among summer and winter B. bassiana isolates is helpful in designing an effective integrated pest management program for Sunn pest.
