We compared the effect between CAS and WAS(root, stem) on mast cell-mediated allergic reaction. CAS, WAS-root and WAS-stem, significantly inhibited compound 48/80-induced systemic allergic reaction(1g/kg) and histamine release from RPMC(1mg/ml). CAS, WAS-root and WAS-stem also inhibited passive cutaneous anaphylactic reaction. In addition, IgE-induced $TNF-{\alpha}$ secretion from RBL-2H3 was inhibited by pretreatment of CAS, WAS-root or WAS-stem$(0.01{\mu}g/ml)$. Taken together, inhibitory effect on mast cell-mediated allergic reactions of WAS-root is greater than those of WAS-stem but less than those of CAS.
Cytotoxicity and L-Amino Acid Oxidase Activity of Animal Venoms
Ahn, Mi-Young,Lee, Byung-Mu,Kim, Yeong-Shik The Pharmaceutical Society of Korea 1997 Archives of Pharmacal Research Vol.20 No.1
The cytotoxicity of animal venoms (snakes, insects and marine animals) was measured against SNU-1 (stomach cancer cells) by dye uptake assay (MTT method). And also L-amino acid oxidase (AAO) activity of the venoms was compared. Among them, the venom from Ophiophagus hannah (king cobra) showed a strong AAO activity as well as a high potent cytotoxicity. Cytotoxic protein having a AAO was then partially purified by HPLC-GPC and two fractions (Fr. I and Fr. II) were collected. The $IC_{50}$ values of Fr. I and Fr. II were 0.19 ${\mu}g/ml$ and 1.36 ${\mu}g/ml$, respectively. The results suggested that the cytotoxicity of king cobra venom may be due to its AAO activity.
短期 負荷 豫測을 爲한 神經回路網 設計(II) : MLP for Peak Load and valley Load Forecasting 最大ㆍ最低負荷豫測을 爲한 MLP
趙武濟,池平植 忠州大學校 1996 한국교통대학교 논문집 Vol.31 No.2
In part I of the paper, a neural network with unsupervised learning has been proposed to identify the day types. In this part of the paper a neural network, commonly referred to as the multilayer perceptron(MLP), is developed to forecast daily peak load and valley load. Unlike the self organizing feature maps in part I, the multilayer perceptron is a neural network with supervised learning. The neural network is first trained using historical load data. Then the trained neural network is applied to predict daily peak load and valley load. These peak load and valley loads, when combined with the hourly load pattern, can yield the desired hourly loads. Results from short term load forecasting are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the propessed neural networks.

In this paper, we discuss actual conditions for running school of electrical and electronic engineering in domestic universities. Also, we catch hold of industrial circles's demands in electrical engineering education and analyze questionary results according to goes into effect school of electrical and electronic & information engineering in major of electrical and electronec engineering's students. Conclusively, we present suitable model in electrical engineering by correction of problems.
Annual Cycle of the Seminiferous Epithelium of Miniopterus schreibersi fuliginosus
Mu-Shik Kang,lung-Hun Lee 대한의생명과학회 2004 Biomedical Science Letters Vol.10 No.4
The characteristics of the testis and the annual cycle of the seminiferous epithelium of the Miniopterus schreibersi fuliginosus were examined by optical microscopy. The testis weight and diameter of the seminiferous tubules were increased gradually from May to July, and the highest activity was observed in August. The size then decreased rapidly from October. Spermatogenesis began in May, peaked in August, and was suspended from October to April in the following year. Spermatocytogenesis were produced from May to July. Spermiogenesis occurred from August to September. In particular, immature spematogenic cells in the seminiferous tubules were engulfed by the phagocytosis of Sertoli cells in October. From November to April, the seminiferous tubule contained only Sertoli cells and Ad spermatogonia. Therefore, the periodic changes in the seminiferous epithelium of M. s. fuliginosus suggest that a long hibernation is an adaptive strategy for the preservation of energy and the regulation of the breeding cycle.
Sound Velocity and Van Der Waal's Force in Liquids
Jhon, Mu Shik The Korean Society of Oceanography 1969 韓國海洋學會誌 Vol.4 No.2
Tehoretical calculations of the sound velocity and Van der Waal's force in liquids according to significant structure theory are carried out. The excellent agreements between theory and experiment provide another piece of evidence for its general paalicability of the model. The technique to evaluate those properties may be useful to understand the some properties and structures of sea water.

A Calculation for the Viscosity of Fluids by Using Van Der Waals Equation of State
Jhon, Mu Shik,Chair, Tong Seek,Pak, Hyung Suk,Kim, Won Soo 한국화학공학회 1989 NICE Vol.7 No.3
A new equation for the viscosity of fluid is presented by considering that the viscosity is equal to the product of the shear pressure and the shear relaxation time. The shear pressure and the shear relaxation time are calculated thermodynamically by applying the van der Waals model for fluids. The calculated viscosities for various simple substances are in good agreements with those of the observed values through liquid-critical point-gas region.
The Preferred Conformation of the Muscarinic Agent L(+) Acetyl-${\beta}$-Methylcholine
Jhon, Mu-Shik,Cho, Ung-In,Chae, Yung-Bog,Kier, Lemont B. Korean Chemical Society 1972 대한화학회지 Vol.16 No.2
It has been postulated that acetylcholine exhibits both nicotine and muscarinic activity because of its ability to present two patterns of essential atoms to the receptors. These two patterns arise from the ability of the molecule to exist in more than one preferred conformation. The molecule S(+)-acetyl-${\beta}$-methylacetylcholine exhibits only muscarinic activity. Calculations using molecular orbital theory predict that this molecule prefers only the muscarinic conformation. This is offered as an explanation for the exclusive role of the molecule and as evidence supporting the twoconformation, two-activities hypothesis.
Theoretical Studies on the Potential Energy Profiles for Proton Transfer Reaction in Formamide Dimer
Young Shik Kong,Mu Shik Jhon Korean Chemical Society 1989 Bulletin of the Korean Chemical Society Vol.10 No.6
Theoretical studies on the proton transfer reaction in a formamide dimer have been done by Ab initio SCF calculation. In this study, we have shown several effects on the potential energy profile of the proton transfer in a formamide dimer, such as the effect of a basis set, the effect of a geometry optimization, and the effect of a distance between proton-donor and proton-acceptor.
