Adaptive test for mean vectors of high-dimensional time series data with factor structure

Statistical inference of high-dimensional time series data is of increasing interest in various fields such as social sciences and biology. In this article, we consider the problem of testing the equality of high-dimensional mean vectors in the approximate factor model, which allows for time series dependence among distinct observations and more flexible dependence within observations. We propose a data-adaptive test based on the factoradjusted data rather than on the directly observed data. By combining the tests with different norms, the proposed test adapts to various alternative scenarios and thus overcomes the shortcomings of the tests based either on L2-norm or L∞-norm. Multiplier bootstrap method is utilized to approximate the true underlying distribution of the proposed test statistics. Theoretical analysis shows that the proposed test enjoys desirable properties. Besides, we conduct thorough numerical study to compare the empirical performance of the proposed test with some state-of-the-art tests. A real stock market data set is analyzed to show the empirical usefulness of the proposed test.
SNPs in the coding region of bovine MGAT2 gene are associated with body weight and weight gain

Monoacylglycerol acyltransferase 2 (MGAT2), as a candidate gene for quantitative traits, relates to dietary fat uptake, lipids synthesis and storage, which plays a major role in the absorption of dietary fat by catalyzing the resynthesis of triacylglycerol in enterocytes. In this study, based on DNA pool sequencing and PCR‐RFLP methods, polymorphisms of the MGAT2 gene were detected in 1145 Chinese indigenous cattle. The results revealed two novel mutations located on exon 1and exon 5 (NM_001099136.1:m.84G>T and 756A>G). Hence, we described the HaeIII forced PCR–RFLP method in exon1 and a MluI PCR–RFLP method in exon5 to detect them. In addition, the associations of these polymorphisms with growth traits were evaluated in Nanyang cattle. The results showed that only HaeIII locus was associated with body weight and average daily gain aged 6 months, and individuals with genotype TT showed significantly higher body weight and average daily gain than those with genotype GG.
An Improved Dendritic Cells Algorithm for Detecting P2P Bots

Presently P2P-controlled bots has become an increasing threat to our network security due to the fact that P2P bots do not have a centralized point to shutdown or trace back, thus making the detection of P2P bots is very difficult. To enhance the detection rate, a new model to detect P2P bots on an individual host is proposed by improving the dendritic cells algorithm (IDCA). In the proposed approach, the raw data for P2P bot detection is obtained via APITrace tool. The processes ID are mapped into the antigens, and the behavioral data created by the processes are mapped into the signals, which are the time series input data of IDCA, are used to implement data fusion and correlation. The test experimental results show that the proposed method is effective to detect P2P-controlled bots on the host with low false positives.

To explore the more active antitumor compounds, two series of new xanthones, containing 1,4-disubstituted-1,2,3-triazole moiety were designed and synthesized. Eaton’s Reagent and “click reaction” were used in the synthesis. Most of the title compounds showed good inhibitory activity against the hepatoma carcinoma cell line (Bel-7402) and human cervical carcinoma cell line (HeLa) in vitro. Compounds 10a, 10e, 10f, 11r and 11t had potent activity with IC50 values, ranging from 2.2 ± 0.17 to 7.1 ± 0.27 μM, which was equivalent to Doxorubicin.
Variable Research on Engineering Characteristics of Soybean Urease Reinforced Sand

In this study, based on soybean urease and standard sand, the unconfined compressive strength test and permeability test of four variables of urease concentration, urea concentration, calcium chloride concentration and sodium alginate content under different combinations of values were carried out, and the range analysis and variance analysis of test data were carried out. On this basis, the coupling model of unconfined compressive strength and permeability coefficient of soybean urease reinforced sand was established based on four test variables. It was found that the engineering characteristics of soybean urease reinforced sand were significantly affected by the combination of variable values. The maximum value of unconfined compressive strength under the test combination condition was 6.5 times of the minimum value, and the minimum value of permeability coefficient was only 1/4 of the maximum value. The primary and secondary order of influence variables of unconfined compressive strength was: urea concentration > calcium chloride concentration > urease concentration > sodium alginate content, and the primary and secondary order of influence variables of permeability coefficient was: urea concentration > calcium chloride concentration > sodium alginate content > urease concentration. The influence of urea concentration on unconfined compressive strength and permeability coefficient was obvious, and the influence of the other three variables was not obvious. In addition, it was confirmed that the established coupling model of unconfined compressive strength and permeability coefficient of soybean urease reinforced sand had high correlation coefficient and significant linear regression, which can be used for subsequent research and engineering application.
