Diversity Distributions and the Anthocyanin Associations of Fungal Endophytes in Diferent Colored Grapevine Leaves

        · Ming‑Zhi Yang 한국식물학회 2020 Journal of Plant Biology Vol.63 No.2

Anthocyanins composed the major pigments which conferred sensory and chemical values to red grapes and wines. Multiple factors involved in grape anthocyanin biosynthesis have been greatly covered to date. However, the endophytes which closely associate with plants, their possible roles in plant coloration are still under clear. Our present research frstly investigated the diversity distributions of culturable fungal endophytes (CFE) in diferent colored grapevine leaves which harvested from same vineyard and cultivar, and then proposed method to analyze the possible efects of these fungal endophytes on anthocyanin concentrations of grape cells. In totally 532 endophytic fungal isolates, 19 OTUs belong to 13 genera were isolated from fve color diferent grapevine leaves. Obvious leaf color specifcity of CFE communities were observed distribution in diferent colored grapevine leaves in this experiment. Assessing the infuences of those isolated CFEs on anthocyanin concentrations of a teinturier grape pulp cells via dual culture system revealed that anthocyanin promotion fungal strains were more possibly isolated from red and purple colored grape leaves. And elite CFE strains such as DQ53 and DQ55, both belong to the fungal genus Epicoccum, which conferred signifcant promotion efects on grape cellular anthocyanin contents were selected out. And the transcriptions of anthocyanin biosynthesis association genes MYBA1, UFGT and F3′5′H in grape cells, were signifcantly infuenced by these endophytic fungi, furtherly implicated the involvements of these genes in fungal endophytes-mediated grape cell anthocyanin promotion process. Additionally, endophytic fungi triggered anthocyanin promotion in grape cells seem independently to that of the light mediated anthocyanin synthesis pathway. This work demonstrated that beside other environmental factors, endophytes may also involve in grape anthocyanin metabolisms. And the study provided methods and clues to explore fungal endophytes in colored grape leaves which possibly applied in grape pigmentation processing.

Characteristics of registered studies for Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19): a systematic review

        Ming Yang,Ya-xi Shang,Zi-yu Tian,Min Xiong,Chun-li Lu,Jiang Yue,Zhang Yao,Zhang Ying-ying,Jin Xin-yan,Jin Qiu-bai,Zhang Ying-ying,Willcox Merlin L.,Liu Jian-ping 한국한의학연구원 2020 Integrative Medicine Research Vol.9 No.3

Background: The World Health Organization characterized the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) as a pandemic on March 11th. Many clinical trials on COVID-19 have been registered, and we aim to review the study characteristics and provide guidance for future trials to avoid duplicated effort. Methods: Studies on COVID-19 registered before March 3rd, 2020 on eight registry platforms worldwide were searched and the data of design, participants, interventions, and outcomes were extracted and analyzed. Results: Three hundred and ninety-three studies were identified and 380 (96.7%) were from mainland China, while 3 in Japan, 3 in France, 2 in the US, and 3 were international collaborative studies. Two hundred and sixty-six (67.7%) aimed at therapeutic effect, others were for prevention, diagnosis, prognosis, etc. Two hundred and two studies (51.4%) were randomized controlled trials. Two third of therapeutic studies tested Western medicines including antiviral drugs (17.7%), stem cell and cord blood therapy (10.2%), chloroquine and derivatives (8.3%), 16 (6.0%) on Chinese medicines, and 73 (27.4%) on integrated therapy of Western and Chinese medicines. Thirty-one studies among 266 therapeutic studies (11.7%) used mortality as primary outcome, while the most designed secondary outcomes were symptoms and signs (47.0%). Half of the studies (45.5%) had not started recruiting till March 3rd. Conclusion: Inappropriate outcome setting, delayed recruitment and insufficient numbers of new cases in China implied many studies may fail to complete. Strategies and protocols of the studies with robust and rapid data sharing are warranted for emergency public health events, helping the timely evidence-based decision-making.

Common Model EMI Prediction in Motor Drive System for Electric Vehicle Application

Yang, Yong-Ming,Peng, He-Meng,Wang, Quan-Di The Korean Institute of Electrical Engineers 2015 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.10 No.1

Common mode (CM) conducted interference are predicted and compared with experiments in a motor drive system of Electric vehicles in this study. The prediction model considers each part as an equivalent circuit model which is represented by lumped parameters and proposes the parameter extraction method. For the modeling of the inverter, a concentrated and equivalent method is used to process synthetically the CM interference source and the stray capacitance. For the parameter extraction in the power line model, a computation method that combines analytical method and finite element method is used. The modeling of the motor is based on measured date of the impedance and vector fitting technique. It is shown that the parasitic currents and interference voltage in the system can be simulated in the different parts of the prediction model in the conducted frequency range (150 kHz-30 MHz). Experiments have successfully confirmed that the approach is effective.

COINCIDENCE THEOREMS FOR NONCOMPACT RC-MAPS IN ABSTRACT CONVEX SPACES WITH APPLICATIONS

        Ming-ge Yang,Nan-Jing Huang 대한수학회 2012 대한수학회보 Vol.49 No.6

In this paper, a coincidence theorem for a compact RC-map is proved in an abstract convex space. Several more general coincidence theorems for noncompact RC-maps are derived in abstract convex spaces. Some examples are given to illustrate our coincidence theorems. As ap-plications, an alternative theorem concerning the existence of maximal elements, an alternative theorem concerning equilibrium problems and a minimax inequality for three functions are proved in abstract convex spaces. • Meta-Cognitive Fuzzy Neural Network Control for Active Power Filter

        Ming Yang,Jienan Han,Qianwen Xie 제어로봇시스템학회 2021 제어로봇시스템학회 국제학술대회 논문집 Vol.2021 No.10

In this paper, an adaptive robust meta-cognitive fuzzy-neural-network control using sliding mode control is proposed for active power filter (APF), whereby a meta-cognitive fuzzy-neural-network (MCFNN) is employed to approximate modeling uncertainties. To overcome the drawbacks of conventional sliding mode control, the control law is constructed based on MCFNN rather than the actual systems. Unlike the predefined structure approaches, MCFNN is able to adapt the structure and parameters of the networks using the input information. Moreover, only the parameters of the rule nearest to the current input are adjusted online to reduce redundant or inefficient computation. Subsequently the Lyapunov stability analysis is presented to guarantee tracking performance and stability of the closed-loop system. Simulation studies demonstrate that the proposed control methods exhibit excellent performance in both steady state and transient operation.

      • Facile and highly efficient fabrication of robust Ag nanowire-elastomer composite electrodes with tailored electrical properties

        Yang, Ming,Kim, Sang Woo,Zhang, Shuye,Park, Dae Young,Lee, Chang-Woo,Ko, Yong-Ho,Yang, Haifeng,Xiao, Yong,Chen, Gang,Li, Mingyu The Royal Society of Chemistry 2018 Journal of Materials Chemistry C Vol.6 No.27

The fabrication of Ag nanowire (AgNW) patterns on a working substrate is a critical step to prepare flexible/stretchable electronics. The conventional method of making AgNW patterns is based on a 2-D mask, which suffers some serious drawbacks, such as low material usage, difficulty in preparing complex patterns, and susceptibility to damaged pattern edges. To overcome these drawbacks, this study proposes the use of a 3-D mask, which when combined with a vacuum filtration system, allowed efficient fabrication of complex AgNW patterns with clear edges. In addition, we controlled the microstructure of the patterned AgNW/polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) electrodes transferred from the membrane filter, obtaining stretchable electrodes with anisotropic electrical properties. Moreover, we greatly improved the stability and reliability of the patterned electrodes in long-term stretch/release tests by developing a PDMS/AgNW/PDMS sandwich structure. Based on these improvements, robust stretchable electrodes with a stretchability of over 80% uniaxial strain and tunable gauge factors ranging from 0.07 to 520 (a much wider range than previously reported) were fabricated by optimizing the AgNW deposition density and PDMS peel-off direction. Finally, we demonstrated the applicability of the proposed method by fabricating stretchable circuits which were able to either maintain a stable resistance or sensitively monitor various human motions, revealing its tremendous potential for applications in flexible/stretchable electronics.

Wireless Synchronous Transfer of Power and Reverse Signals

        Yang Li,Yumei Li,Shaojie Feng,Qingxin Yang,Weihao Dong,Jingtai Zhao,Ming Xue 전력전자학회 2019 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.19 No.3

Wireless power transfer via coupled magnetic resonances has been a hot research topic in recent years. In addition, the number of related devices has also been increasing. However, reverse signals transfer is often required in addition to wireless power transfer. The structure of the circuit for a wireless power transfer system via coupled magnetic resonances is analyzed. The advantages and disadvantages of both parallel compensation and series compensation are listed. Then the compensation characteristics of the inductor, capacitor and resistor were studied and an appropriate compensation method was selected. The reverse signals can be transferred by controlling the compensation of the resistor. In addition, it can be demodulated by extracting the change of the primary current. A 3.3 MHz resonant frequency with a 100 kHz reverse signals transfer system platform was established in the laboratory. Experimental results demonstrate that wireless power and reverse signals can be transferred synchronously.

Path planning on satellite images for unmanned surface vehicles

Yang, Joe-Ming,Tseng, Chien-Ming,Tseng, P.S. The Society of Naval Architects of Korea 2015 International Journal of Naval Architecture and Oc Vol.7 No.1

In recent years, the development of autonomous surface vehicles has been a field of increasing research interest. There are two major areas in this field: control theory and path planning. This study focuses on path planning, and two objectives are discussed: path planning for Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs) and implementation of path planning in a real map. In this paper, satellite thermal images are converted into binary images which are used as the maps for the Finite Angle $A^*$ algorithm ($FAA^*$), an advanced $A^*$ algorithm that is used to determine safer and suboptimal paths for USVs. To plan a collision-free path, the algorithm proposed in this article considers the dimensions of surface vehicles. Furthermore, the turning ability of a surface vehicle is also considered, and a constraint condition is introduced to improve the quality of the path planning algorithm, which makes the traveled path smoother. This study also shows a path planning experiment performed on a real satellite thermal image, and the path planning results can be used by an USV.
