A review of Plant bug genus Phytocoris Fallén (Heteroptera: Miridae) in Korea
Minsuk Oh,Tomohide Yasunaga,Seunghwan Lee 한국응용곤충학회 2016 한국응용곤충학회 학술대회논문집 Vol.2016 No.10
Genus Phytocoris Fallén, 1814 is the largest genus among Heteroptera, around 700 species are described worldwide. In this presentation, the genus Phytocoris from Korean Peninsula is reviewed for the first time with eight species, includes one new record, P. minakatai and one new species, P. goryeonus sp. nov. For further comprehension of this genus, figures of dorsal habitus, genitalia and diagnosis of each Phytocoris species are provided.
Modeling a time delay model to analyze network-induced delays for networked control systems
Minsuk Shin(신민석),Seongyon Ryu(류성연),Myoungho Sunwoo(선우명호) 한국자동차공학회 2006 한국자동차공학회 춘 추계 학술대회 논문집 Vol.- No.-
Networked control systems(NCSs) have been used in many areas because of their advantages such as low cost of installation, ease of maintenance, higher reliability, and greater flexibility. However, the network-induced delays, which may degrade the system performance and may cause system instability, are unavoidable in the NCSs. Therefore, it is necessary to consider and analyze the network-induced delays when an NCS is designed. In this paper, a periodic time delay model for an NCS is proposed. Time delay attributes of an NCS were defined and analyzed. The stability of an NCS was analyzed by using the proposed time delay model.
Investigation of Frequency Dependent Sensitivity of Noise Figure on Device Parameters in 65 nm CMOS
MinSuk Koo,Hakchul Jung,HeeSauk Jhon,박병국,이종덕,신형철 대한전자공학회 2009 Journal of semiconductor technology and science Vol.8 No.1
We have investigated the noise sensitivity of low noise amplifier (LNA) at different frequency. This noise sensitivity analysis provides insights about noise parameters and it is very beneficial for making appropriate design trade-offs. From this work, the circuit designer can choose the adequate noise parameters tolerances.

OBJECTIVES: We examined whether pericardial adipose tissue (PAT) is predictive of prediabetes and type 2 diabetes over time. METHODS: In total, 2,570 adults without prediabetes/diabetes from the Coronary Artery Risk Development in Young Adults Study were followed up over 15 years. PAT volume was measured by computed tomography scans, and the new onset of prediabetes/diabetes was examined 5 years, 10 years, and 15 years after the PAT measurements. Multivariable Cox regression models were used to examine the association between the tertile of PAT and incident prediabetes/diabetes up to 15 years later. The predictive ability of PAT (vs. waist circumference [WC], body mass index [BMI], waist-to-height ratio [WHtR]) for prediabetes/diabetes was examined by comparing the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC). RESULTS: The highest tertile of PAT was associated with a 1.56 times (95% confidence interval [CI], 1.03 to 2.34) higher rate of diabetes than the lowest tertile; however, no association was found between the highest tertile of PAT and prediabetes in the fully adjusted models, including additional adjustment for BMI or WC. In the fully adjusted models, the AUCs of WC, BMI, WHtR, and PAT for predicting diabetes were not significantly different, whereas the AUC of WC for predicting prediabetes was higher than that of PAT. CONCLUSIONS: PAT may be a significant predictor of hyperglycemia, but this association might depend on the effect of BMI or WC. Additional work is warranted to examine whether novel adiposity indicators can suggest advanced and optimal information to supplement the established diagnosis for prediabetes/diabetes.
Deterministic transfer of thin carbon nanotube film
Minsuk Park,Sang-Yong Ju 대한화학회 2022 Bulletin of the Korean Chemical Society Vol.43 No.2
Although successfully implemented for optoelectronic devices of two-dimensional materials, deterministic transfer for thin single-walled carbon nanotube (SWNT) film has not been realized. Herein, we report a transfer method of few hundreds nanometer-thick SWNT film to a desired prepatterned substrate position with few micrometer precision. This method comprises poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA)-coated SWNT film, creating surface anisotropy on both sides for SWNT film transfer, and two sets of translators manipulating the film to desired position and angle. Especially, adsorption and desorption of PMMA-coated SWNT film by each translator were modulated by use of interfacial water which not only promotes PMMA side to the transient sample loader via water capillary and releases the final substrate with capillary assisted sliding. Successful transfer of thin SWNT film with few tens of micrometer precision was achieved and will be beneficial for the preparation of high-end optoelectronic devices.
