        Associations of MMP-2 21306 C/T and MMP-9 21562 C/T polymorphisms with breast cancer risk among different populations: a meta-analysis

        The meta-analysis aims to investigate association between two matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) polymorphisms (MMP-2 -1306 C/T and MMP-9 -1562 C/T) and breast cancer risk. Eligible studies were retrieved from relevant databases, based on predefined criteria. Quality assessment was evaluated by Newcastle–Ottawa Scale. Odds ratio (OR) with its 95% confidence interval (CI) was selected as the effect size for the meta-analysis. As a result, 13 studies were included. MMP-2 -1306 C/T polymorphism was not significantly associated with breast cancer risk under all genetic models (P[0.05). However, subgroup analysis stratified by ethnicity showed a significant association between MMP-2 -1306 C/T polymorphism and reduced breast cancer risk in Asian populations under allelic model (OR 0.60, 95% CI 0.39–0.90, P = 0.02) and dominant model (OR 0.55, 95% CI 0.34–0.89, P = 0.02). MMP-9 -1562 C/T polymorphism was significantly related to increased breast cancer risk under allelic model (OR 1.50, 95% CI 1.06–2.12, P = 0.02), additive model (OR 1.45, 95% CI 1.02–2.05, P = 0.04) and recessive model (OR 1.54, 95% CI 1.13–2.12, OR 0.007). A significant association between MMP-9 -1562 C/T polymorphism and increased breast cancer risk in Caucasian was detected under most of the genetic models (P\0.05). MMP-2 -1306 C/T polymorphism might be significantly associated with reduced breast cancer risk in Asian, while MMP-9 -1562 C/T might be closely related to increased breast cancer risk, especially in Caucasian.

      • The RAS Scheduling Algorithm Based on 802.11n WIFI Router

        In order to solve the frame overhead to the influence of frame transmission performance, improve the throughput, lower hybrid scenario user acces delay, improve user (802.11 n) especially the user experience, this paper aimed at different rate of terminal equipment, designs the RAS algorithm, this algorithm through optimizing scheduling, in does not affect user delay at low speed, reduce the high-speed users send time delay.The algorithm is reasonable configuration of channel resources, make full use of the high speed channel rate, rate of various users (especially in high speed rate of users) to improve the user experience .In the Chariot on Atheros9341 chip using TCP service test 802.11 n AP topology network end-to-end delay and throughput, thus the proposed method was verified. The measured results showed that the proposed method can improve the AP client in a high-density environment effective machine capacity, and increase the throughput, reduce the delay.

        Towards Agile Application Integration with M2M Platforms

        M2M (Machine-to-Machine) Technology makes it possible to network all kinds of terminal devices and their corresponding enterprise applications. Therefore, several M2M platforms were developed in China in order to collect information from terminal devices dispersed all over the local places through 3G wireless network. However, when enterprise applications try to integrate with M2M platforms, they should be maintained and refactored to adapt the heterogeneous features and properties of M2M platforms. Moreover, syntactical and semantic unification for information sharing among applications and devices are still unsolved because of raw data transmission and the usage of distinguished business vocabularies. In this paper, we propose and develop an M2M Middleware to support agile application integration with M2M platform. This middleware imports the event engine and XML-based syntax to handle the syntactical unification, makes use of Ontology-based semantic mapping to solve the semantic unification and adopts WebService and ETL techniques to sustain multi-pattern interactive approach, in order to agilely make applications integrated with the M2M platform. Now, the M2M Middleware has been applied in the China Telecom M2M platform. The operation results show that applications will cost less time and workload when being integrated with M2M platform.

        병원의 재활 조경공간 설계 분석

        재활 조경은 인체가 심신의 건강을 회복하는 데 도움을 주는 새로운 형태의 조경이다. 현대 사회의 의료수준이 끊임없이 향상됨에 따라 병원의 환경 또한 점차 발전하고, 병원 공간 환경에 대한 사회적 관심이 높아지고 있다. 현재의 재활 조경은 발전 초기 단계이다. 최근 해외 재활 조경의 이론적 연구가 빠르게 진행되면서 국내외의 관련 사례는 점차 증가하고 있다. 본 연구는 병원 재활 조경의 설계 방안 제시를 목적으로 재활 조경 개념을 연구 기반으로 삼았다. 우선, 국내외 문헌 분석을 통해 세계적으로 우수한 재활조경 사례로 꼽히는 시카고 아동병원 크라운 스카이가든, 미국 뉴 파크랜드 병원, 일본 오키나와 소라 노모리 클리닉, 싱가포르 쿠 텍 푸아트 병원을 연구 대상으로 하였다. 재활 정원, 설계사례 분석, 식물 배치 등의 3가지 항목을 중점적으로 살펴보았다. 오감, 공간, 환경, 특징의 네 가지 요소를 기본으로 시각, 청각, 후각, 촉각, 지각 및 복잡성, 안전성, 공간 다양성 등 20가지 세부요소들을 총망라하여 이에 대한 분석을 진행하였다. 연구 분석을 통해 시카고 어린이 병원의 스카이 가든은 오감의 요소가 뛰어나고, 이러한 감각적 기능을 다각적으로 자극할 수 있는 폐쇄적인 공간을 설계하였다는 사실을 알아냈다. 미국 뉴파클랜드 병원은 현지의 지속 가능한 지역 자원의 일부를 활용하였다는 점에서 환경적 요소의 특징이 두드러졌다. 일본 오키나와 소라노 모리 클리닉은 병원 공간과 자연을 결합해 오키나와 숲을 복원하고 생태계 재활 정원으로 설계하였다는 점에서 부각되었다. 싱가포르 쿠 텍 푸아트 병원은 환경적 요소와 공간적 요소가 뛰어나며 인간 중심적 이념을 구현하는 한편 현지의 재료와 식물 등을 사용해 친근감이 있는 재활 환경을 조성하였다. Rehabilitation landscape as a new type helps people to restore physical and mental health. With the continuous improvement of medical level in modern society, hospitals have gradually developed. Social attention to the hospital space environment is increasing accordingly. Now the rehabilitation landscape is in the early stage of development. However, the theoretical research of rehabilitation landscape abroad has developed rapidly in recent years, and there are more and more relevant cases at home and abroad. This study aims to propose the design scheme of hospital rehabilitation landscape. Therefore, the concept of hospital rehabilitation landscape is selected as the research basis. Through the research and analysis of literature at home and abroad, this study takes Singapore Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, America New Parkland Hospital, Okinawa Vincent Medical Clinic and Crown Sky Garden of Chicago Children’s Hospital as the research objects. This paper explains with the focus on the “rehabilitation garden”, “design case analysis” and “plant configuration”. It is concluded that under the four elements of five senses, space, environment and characteristics, it includes 20 detail elements such as vision, hearing, smell, touch, perception, complexity, security and spatial diversity. According to the above 20 detailed elements, a series of analysis is carried out. It is found in this study that the garden hospital of Chicago Children’s Hospital is very prominent under the five senses, creating a closed hospital space through the five senses of human body. America New Parkland Hospital makes use of some local sustainable regional resources, and the characteristics of environmental factors are very prominent. The Vincent Medical Clinic in Okinawa, Japan, is very outstanding in the characteristic elements. The designers combine the hospital space with nature to restore the forest in Okinawa and design into a rehabilitation hospital for the ecological environment. But the five senses need to be improved. Singapore Khoo Teck Puat is excellent in environmental and spatial elements, which embodies the people-centered concept, and with local materials create a rehabilitation environment with a sense of closeness.

        Facile Synthesis of Ni–Mn Layered Double Hydroxide Nanopetals on 3D Reduced Graphene Oxide/Ni Foam for High-performance Supercapacitors

        In this work, the Ni–Mn layered double hydroxide (Ni–Mn LDH) nanopetals are fabricated on three-dimensional reduced graphene oxide/Ni foam (RGO/NF) by one-step hydrothermal method, in which the suspension of graphene oxide (GO) is directly reduced by nickel foam (NF) to obtain NF/RGO. The composite, which consists of interconnected Ni–Mn LDH nanopetals, forms a macroporous structure. Such an open space can promote electrolyte dispersion and ion diffusion of active substances, thus enhancing capacitance performance. Remarkable, during crystal growth, RGO can not only provide active sites for Ni–Mn LDH nanopetals, but also effectively connect Ni–Mn LDH nanopetals to NF, further promoting the electrochemical behavior of composite material. Moreover, RGO possess reasonable chemical stability which can improve the mechanical properties of the composite to obtain good stability. The experimental results show that the NF/RGO electrode material with Ni–Mn LDH nanopetals has excellent specific capacitance of 2250 F g -1 at 1 A g -1, good rate performance (the capacitance retention rate is still 64.0% at 10 A g -1) and excellent cycle life (45.1% at 10 A g -1 after 5000 cycles). NR/NM–LDH is used as the positive electrode and activated carbon is used as the negative electrode to assemble the asymmetric supercapacitor, the proper power density and energy density indicates that the NR/NM–LDH composite has great potential as an electrode material for supercapacitors.

        Anti-seismic Effect of Lattice Grid Structure with Friction Pendulum Bearings Under the Earthquake Impact of Various Dimensions

        As a typical base isolation device, the friction pendulum bearing (FPB) was applied to the lattice grid structures in this paper. The isolation mechanism of FPBs was analyzed from two aspects of force and energy consumption, while the static anddynamic mechanical properties of lattice grid structures with FPBs were numerically investigated using two models of regularand oblique quadrangular pyramid framed structures. The physical models of FPBs with fictional coefficient of 0.1 and acurvature radius of 1.0 m was established and applied to the lattice grid structures. Moreover, the mechanical properties of thesestructures with FPBs ware studied. Numerical results indicate that the seismic response of structures is remarkably weakenedby using FPBs, which means FPBs can be used to effectively control structural vibration.

        General method of reducing switching voltage stress without extra voltage‑loop control for related switching‑capacitor high‑gain converters

        High-gain converters have been used on many occasions as interfaces for multiple energy conversions. Among these converters, a family of switching-capacitor high-gain converters is widely used due to its low cost, small volume, low loss, spontaneous capacitor voltages balance, and spontaneous inductor currents average. However, one or more of the switches in these converters suffer from the issue of withstanding higher voltage stresses than the other switches, which may limit the applications of these converters at high voltages. To solve this issue, a general method for reducing the switching voltage stresses for this high-gain converter family is proposed. This method can improve many kinds of high-gain converters, which can reduce the switching voltage stresses. Based on this method, a two-phase low-stress high-gain converter is proposed. The voltage stresses of all the switches in the proposed converter do not exceed half of the output voltage of the converter. Then, based on the proposed converter feature, a control method is proposed that can make the proposed converter have the automatic capacitor voltage balancing characteristic without an extra voltage-loop control. Finally, the proposed method is verified by prototype experiments.

        Enhance the performance and stability of methylammonium lead iodide perovskite solar cells with guanidinium thiocyanate additive

        Employing additive to regulate the morphology of perovskite film is an effective method to enhance both the power conversion efficiency and long term stability of organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite solar cells. Here, we demonstrate that guanidinium thiocyanate (GuSCN) is a suitable additive for methylammonium lead iodide (MAPbI3) perovskite materials. Addition of GuSCN into MAPbI3 can simultaneously enhance the crystallinity, enlarge the crystal size, and reduce the trap density of the perovskite films. As a result, the MAPbI3 perovskite with 10% GuSCN exhibits superior power conversion efficiency of 16.70% compared to the pristine MAPbI3 perovskite solar cell (15.57%). At the same time, the MAPbI3 perovskite solar cell with GuSCN additive shows better stability, power conversion efficiency retains ∼90% of its initial value compared to only ∼60% for pristine MAPbI3 perovskite solar cells after being stored for 15 days without encapsulation

        Seismic Coefficients and Earthquake Damage Predictions for a Space Truss with a Supporting Structure

        Previous studies have shown that when the lower support structure is considered, the dynamic characteristics of grid structures change signifi cantly, and the stress distributions are also noticeably diff erent. Therefore, this paper discusses whether other simple and feasible structural seismic damage prediction methods could be proposed after accounting for the infl uence of the lower supporting structure. Considering diff erent site types and diff erent intensities, a time-history analysis was conducted using the mode decomposition response spectrum method for frequent 8- and 9-degree earthquake intensity. Then, the acceleration response spectra for diff erent sites experiencing 8- and 9-degree intensity of frequently occurring earthquakes specifi ed in the Code for Seismic Design of Buildings (GB50011-2010) were used to calculate and discuss the distribution law for the seismic internal forces of space truss structures. Based on the calculation conclusion, the design method and damage prediction method for a plate-like space truss structure under earthquake actions are discussed. Then, a new value of the seismic action coeffi cient was proposed in this paper, and the ground motion peaks for various types of earthquake damage for diff erent site types were obtained using the functional relationship.

        The development of college English teachers’ pedagogical content knowledge (PCK): from General English to English for Academic Purposes

        College English teachers’ pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) is subject to change in the transition from the teaching of General English (GE) to that of English for Academic Purposes (EAP). Underpinned by Grossman’s four-dimensional model of PCK, this study aims to investigate the trajectory of PCK development among college English teachers through the transition from GE to EAP in the Chinese context. Adopting a qualitative case study approach, multiple sources of data about three teachers were collected through semi-structured interviews, class observations, and teaching materials. Results show that teachers’ conceptions of the purpose of teaching EAP, as opposed to GE, are fundamental to PCK development. The development of diferent PCK components was mainly attributed to a variety of informal learning activities, which are insufcient for well-balanced development. Additionally, the development of PCK was hindered by teachers’ limited content knowledge. The fndings have signifcant implications for efective college English teacher development in the transition from GE teaching to EAP teaching.
