WRF wind forecasts from four operative schemes used by OHMC (Observatorio HidroMeteorológico de Córdoba), a test scheme (WRF-E) and two daily runs with 4 km horizontal resolution were analyzed. Wind simulations were compared with measurements from eight ground stations with anemometers at 10 m high during the period from June, 2019 to June, 2020. WRF-E incorporates more vertical levels, and an activated topo_wind option. The wind speed results show that WRF overestimates wind speed at most stations and the WRF-E model reduces the BIAS and the RMSE when compared with the operational models. The wind direction analysis shows that the higher the wind speed is, the more accurate the models are. In addition, a wind gust forecasting has been implemented and evaluated in this work. Wind gust correlation coefficient values are between 0.3 and 0.6, RMSE is between 3 and 5 m/s, and a positive BIAS (<2 m/s) at most stations.
Verification of Configuration Files using Specially Designed Domain-Specific Language
Matěj Mareček 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Software Engineering and Vol.10 No.10
This paper presents a new domain-specific language (DSL) and its interpreter. The purpose of the language is to be a tool for software developers and administrators that allows them to easily specify how configuration files in INI format should look like and what rules should their contents comply with. The interpreter of the language then takes a specification of a configuration file written in the DSL and verifies whether configuration files given as an input match the specification. The requirement for the language emerged at CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research). The reason is that CERN, one of the biggest research organizations in the world, heavily uses SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) software for their industrial and scientific machines and SCADA developers needed to be able to verify that configuration files used by CERN's SCADA (WinCC Open Architecture) software are correct and comply with CERN standards. The newly designed DSL is primarily based on declarative paradigm and its core capabilities can be extended by JavaScript code injection. The language syntax is also a superset of INI files syntax so it feels familiar to people who want to use it for simple verification use cases. As for the interpreter, it uses Xtext-based parser to create abstract syntax trees and to integrate with the Eclipse Platform. The execution of the DSL code then uses a hybrid architecture which combines AST interpretation, translation of certain parts of AST into a JavaScript code and running JavaScript code on top of the Java Virtual Machine.
Dynamic Security Policy Enforcement on Android
Matúš Vančo,Lukáš Aron 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Security and Its Applicat Vol.10 No.9
This work presentss the system for dynamic enforcement of access rights on Android. Each application will be repackaged by this system, so that the access to selected private data is restricted for the outer world. The system intercepts the system calls using Aurasium framework and adds an innovative approach of tracking the information flows from the privacy-sensitive sources using tainting mechanism without need of administrator rights. There has been designed file-level and data-level taint propagation and policy enforcement based on Android binder.

This study aimed to investigate the effect of the ratio of non-fibrous carbohydrates to neutral detergent fibre (NFC/NDF) and undegraded dietary protein (UDP) on rumen fermentation and nitrogen metabolism in lambs. Four $Dorper{\times}thin-tailed$ Han crossbred lambs, averaging $62.3{\pm}1.9kg$ of body weight and 10 mo of age, were randomly assigned to four dietary treatments of combinations of two levels of NFC/NDF (1.0 and 1.7) and two levels of UDP (35% and 50% of crude protein [CP]). Duodenal nutrient flows were measured with dual markers of Yb and Co, and microbial N (MN) synthesis was estimated using $^{15}N$. High UDP decreased organic matter (OM) intake (p = 0.002) and CP intake (p = 0.005). Ruminal pH (p<0.001), ammonia nitrogen ($NH_3-N$; p = 0.008), and total volatile fatty acids (p<0.001) were affected by dietary NFC/NDF. The ruminal concentration of $NH_3-N$ was also affected by UDP (p<0.001). The duodenal flow of total MN (p = 0.007) was greater for lambs fed the high NFC/NDF diet. The amount of metabolisable N increased with increasing dietary NFC:NDF (p = 0.02) or UDP (p = 0.04). In conclusion, the diets with high NFC/NDF (1.7) and UDP (50% of CP) improved metabolisable N supply to lambs.

Two carbonaceous adsorbents CAT and CARBOPAL were tested for reducing the concentration of the three herbicides in water: 2,4-D (2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid), TCP (2,4,6-trichlorophenol) and metolachlor. Textural and chemical characterization of the adsorbents include nitrogen isotherms, FTIR, titration and thermogravimetric analyses. Adsorption was studied in discontinuous adsorption experiments at different pH values. The experimental adsorption isotherms data were fitted to four theoretical models. Adsorbent characterization reveals that CAT has higher micropore area, lower pore diameter and lower acidity than CARBOPAL. The adsorption is a second-order process and the isotherms best fitted to Sips model. The efficiency of the process depends mainly on the charge of the adsorbate for TCP and 2,4-D, but it depends on the charge of the surface for metolachlor. Adsorption capacity is higher on CAT for 2,4-D and TCP (small molecules), and it is higher on CARBOPAL for metolachlor (large molecules). Theoretical calculations clearly support this assumption.
Calculation and measurement of Al prompt capture gammas above water in a pool-type reactor

Prompt capture gammas are an important part of the fission reactor gamma field. Because some of the structural materials after neutron capture can emit photons with high energies forming the dominant component of the gamma spectrum in the high energy region, the following study of the high energy capture gamma was carried out. High energy gamma radiation may play a major role in areas of the radiation sciences as reactor dosimetry. The HPGe measurements and calculations of the high-energy aluminum capture gamma were performed at two moderator levels in the VR-1 pool-type reactor. The result comparison for nominal levels was within two sigma uncertainties for the major 7.724 MeV peak. A larger discrepancy of 60% was found for the 7.693 MeV peak. The spectra were also measured using a stilbene detector, and a good agreement between HPGe and stilbene was observed. This confirms the validity of stilbene measurements of gamma flux. Additionally, agreement of the wide peak measurement in 7e9.2 MeV by stilbene detector shows the possibility of using the organic scintillators as an independent power monitor. This fact is valid in these reactor types because power is proportional to the thermal neutron flux, which is also proportional to the production of capture gammas forming the wide peak
Self-association of bee propolis: effects on pharmaceutical applications
Jiri Trousil,Martin Hruby,Jiri Panek,Jana Matějková,Jan Kucka,Petr Stepanek 한국약제학회 2014 Journal of Pharmaceutical Investigation Vol.44 No.1
Propolis is a resinous product collected byhoneybees from various plant sources; it is widely used intraditional medicine and has been reported to have a broadspectrum of pharmacological effects (i.e., antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral and anti-inflammatory effects). Themost commonly used propolis formulations are gargles, inwhich propolis tinctures are diluted with water. The dilutionprocess is accompanied by nanoprecipitation, and thepropolis droplets are dispersed in the prepared gargle. Inthe present study, we investigated the dependence of theproperties of propolis nanodispersions on the method ofpreparation. The particle size was found to be approximately150 nm and was observed to decrease withincreasing dilution as the zeta potential of the particlesbecame more negative, which stabilized the dispersion. The dispersion dissolved upon alkalization and reprecipitatedduring acidification. The addition of salt destabilizedthe dispersion. The uptake of propolis from the dispersionwas modeled using 1-octanol and was found to be rapidand only slightly dependent on the nanoparticle size. Propolis susceptibility tests showed that the most effectivedispersion of propolis was tenfold-diluted EEP (P-80-10and JP-80-10). The disc diffusion method was used toevaluate the antibacterial activity of chosen dispersions ofpropolis against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coliand Candida albicans. Propolis samples with differentlocations of origin exhibited different effects against thestrain of C. albicans.

Purpose:Purpose: Vitamin D (VD) acts on sperm motility, capacitation and survival but its role in steroidogenesis is less clear. Aims: To analyze seasonal variations in sex steroids and VD in a healthy male population. Materials and Methods:Materials and Methods: Twenty-nine healthy males, 34.0±4.8 years were included. Blood collection in winter (W) and sum-mer (S) was performed to measure: 25OHD, total testosterone (TT), free testosterone (FT), estradiol (E2), luteinizing hormone (LH), and sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG). Testosterone/estradiol (T/E2) ratio was calculated. Results:Results: In W, lower levels of 25OHD: 18.8±7.2 ng/mL vs. 38.8±11.9 ng/mL (p<0.0001) and LH: 3.5±1.2 mU/mL vs. 3.9±1.5 mU/mL (p=0.05), and higher levels of TT: 501.9±157.7 ng/dL vs. 405.0±128.0 ng/dL (p=0.0003), FT: 11.8±4.1 ng/dL vs. 10.2±3.7 ng/dL (p=0.017), SHBG: 28.5±10.9 nmol/L vs. 23.6±7.9 nmol/L (p=0.002) and T/E2 ratio: 30.7±19.7 ng/dL/pg/mL vs. 17.3±3.6 ng/dL/pg/mL (p=0.0015) with no variation in E2 levels were observed. A positive correlation between 25OHD and E2 (r=0.28, p=0.04) and negative correlations between 25OHD and TT (r=-0.27, p=0.049), 25OHD and FT (r=-0.32, p=0.01), and 25OHD and T/E2 (r=-0.44, p=0.0008) were found. Conclusions:Conclusions: In healthy young male population, seasonal variations were observed in 25OHD and LH levels (higher in S) and in TT, FT, SHBG levels, and T/E2 (higher in W). Lower values of TT and FT in S are accompanied by higher levels of LH, which rules out a central mechanism for lowering testosterone. 25OHD negatively correlated with TT, FT, and T/E2 and posi-tively correlated with E2, suggesting a relationship between VD status and changes in gonadal steroids.
