Sterilizer is one of the necessary equipments in dental clinics for aseptic treatment. There are many types of sterilizer, such as autoclave, chemiclave, dry heat sterilizer, UV(Ultra Violet) sterilizer, boiling sterilizer, EO(Ethylene Oxide) gas sterilizer, by sterilizing mechanis. To evaluate the type and sterilizing ability, one surveyer visited 100 dental clinics in Seoul and surveyed some items, such as age and gender of dentist, type, location and using period of sterilizer, how many sterilizing time per day and who operate sterilizer, so on. As preacticall operation the sterilizer, sterilized basillus subtilis in test tube and incubated it. Then it's turbidity was observed. The results were as follows 1. The descending order of plenty were autoclave(68), UV sterilizer(26), chemiclave(12), dry heat sterilizer(4) and boiling sterilizer(2). 2. The descending order of sterilizing ability were dry heat sterilizer(100%), autoclave(89%), chemicloave(73%), UV sterilizer(43%) and boiling sterilizer(0%). 3. Sterilizing ability in dental clinics that have both sterilizer, autoclave and UV sterilizer, chemiclave and UV sterlilzer was low than single sterilizer(autoclave, chemiclave). 4. The descending order of location of sterilizer were treatment room, laboratory room, sterilizing room and the order of operator were assistant, hygiene and both assistant and hygiene.

이 연구의 목적은 관계 마케팅에 있어 지각된 서비스 공정성의 결정적인 역할에 대해 이해하고자 하는 것이다. 본 연구는 서비스 공정성과 관계 마케팅 변수들(관계품질과 고객만족)의 관계, 그리고 고객만족과 관계품질의 연결에 대해 검증하였다. 자료는 대구에 소재한 멤버십 할인매장을 방문한 고객들 중 250명을 분석의 대상으로 하였고, 다중 회귀분석은 만족스러운 모델 적합도를 보여주었다. 제안된 가설들 중 6개의 가설이 통계적으로 지지되었다. 검증 결과 서비스 공정성은 고객만족과 관계품질에 모두 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나, 분배공정성은 관계품질에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다.
Dynamic Kinetic Resolutions and Asymmetric Transformations by Enzyme-Metal Combo Catalysis

Enzyme-metal combo catalysis is described as a useful methodology for the synthesis of optically active compounds. The key point of the method is the use of enzyme and metal in combination as the catalysts for the complete transformation of racemic substrates to single enantiomeric products through dynamic kinetic resolution (DKR). In this approach, enzyme acts as an enantioselective resolving catalyst and metal does as a racemizing catalyst for the efficient DKR. Three kinds of enzyme-metal combinations - lipase-ruthenium, subtilisin-ruthenium, and lipase-palladium –have been developed as the catalysts for the DKRs of racemic alcohols, esters, and amines. The scope of the combination catalysts can be extended to the asymmetric transformations of ketones, enol acetates, and ketoximes via the DKRs. In most cases studied, enzyme-metal combo catalysis provided enantiomerically-enriched products in high yields.

<B>Abstract</B><P>Angiopoietin-1 (Ang1) plays a crucial role in vascular and hematopoietic development, mainly through its cognate receptor Tie2. However, little is known about the precise role of Ang1 in embryonic stem cell (ESC) differentiation. In the present study, we used COMP-Ang1 (a soluble and potent variant of Ang1) to explore the effect of Ang1 on endothelial and hematopoietic differentiation of mouse ESCs in an OP9 coculture system and found that Ang1 promoted endothelial cell (EC) differentiation from Flk-1+ mesodermal precursors. This effect mainly occurred through Tie2 signaling and was altered in the presence of soluble Tie2-Fc. We accounted for this Ang1-induced expansion of ECs as enhanced proliferation and survival. Ang1 also had an effect on CD41+ cells, transient precursors that can differentiate into both endothelial and hematopoietic lineages. Intriguingly, Ang1 induced the preferential differentiation of CD41+ cells toward ECs instead of hematopoietic cells. This EC expansion promoted by Ang1 was also recapitulated in induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and human ESCs. We successfully achieved in vivo neovascularization in mice by transplantation of ECs obtained from Ang1-stimulated ESCs. We conclude that Ang1/Tie2 signaling has a pivotal role in ESC-EC differentiation and that this effect can be exploited to expand EC populations.</P>

<B>ABSTRACT</B><P>The one-carbon response regulon is essential for the biosynthesis of nucleic acids as well as several amino acids. The <I>ADE3</I> gene is known to encode a crucial one-carbon regulon enzyme, tetrahydrofolate synthase, which is involved in the biosynthesis of purine and the amino acids methionine and glycine. Therefore, the mechanism through which <I>ADE3</I> transcription is regulated appears to be critical for the cross-talk among these metabolic pathways. Even so, the direct involvement of <I>ADE3</I> transcription through gene-specific transcription factors has not been shown clearly. In this study, the promoter structure of the <I>ADE3</I> gene was investigated in detail, and a genuine Gcn4p responsive element (GCRE) was confirmed among three putative GCRE elements in vivo and in vitro. Through gene deletion studies of Gcn4p and Bas1p, it was established that both factors are involved in the transcriptional regulation of the <I>ADE3</I> gene. Direct binding to this GCRE and the occupancy of the <I>ADE3</I> promoter by these factors were also confirmed. Taking these results together, we concluded that Gcn4p is responsible for the basal and inducible expression of the <I>ADE3</I> gene, while Bas1p is required for its basal expression.</P>

21 herbal drugs registered in K.P. III were tested for contamination of fungi and isolation of aflatoxin producible strains. Initially contaminated fungi were Aspergillus group (41.28%) and Penicillium (47.26%) and the other fungi were contaminated somewhat. The most frequent isolation of Aspergillus group was Cnidii Rhizoma and that of Penicillium was Piperis Fructus nigri. Cnidii Rhizoma was the most contaminated drug and Cassiae Cortex was the least among them. Aspergillus flavus was isolated from 10 samples and Aspergillus parasiticus was detected in Glycyrrhizae Radix, Phellodendri Cortex. Aspergillus ochraceus was isolated from only Scutelariae Radix, and Fusarium nivale was isolated from Cnidii Rhizoma and Torreya Semen. None of Aspergillus and Penicillium was detected in only Coptidis Rhizoma. No strains of Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus parasiticus isolated from were produced aflatoxin.
