Designing Integrated Models as a Decision Aid in Web-based Marketing
Mahdavi, Iraj,Fazlollahtabar, Hamed,Mahdavi-Amiri, Nezam,Kakouei, Mohsen Korea Data Strategy Society 2010 Journal of information technology applications & m Vol.17 No.1
Web information systems have been utilized extensively over the past decade. The Internet allows for the entire sales cycle to be conducted on one medium, nearly instantaneously. From making the consumer aware of the product to providing additional information to transacting the final purchase, the Internet can accomplish them all. The Internet is like one big point-of-sales display, with easy access to products and the ability for impulse shopping. Here, we point out different aspects of information technology (IT) in marketing. Consequently, we propose two frameworks as decision aids in web-based marketing environment.

Mahdavi, Iraj,Fazlollahtabar, Hamed,Shafieian, S. Hosna,Mahdavi-Amiri, Nezam Korea Data Strategy Society 2010 Journal of information technology applications & m Vol.17 No.1
We develop an intelligent information system in a multilayer electronic supply chain network. Using the internet for supply chain management (SCM) is a key interest for contemporary managers and researchers. It has been realized that the internet can facilitate SCM by making real time information available and enabling collaboration between trading partners. Here, we propose a multi-agent system to analyze the performance of the elements of a supply network based on the attributes of the information flow. Each layer consists of elements which are differentiated by their performance throughout the supply network. The proposed agents measure and record the performance flow of elements considering their web interactions for a dynamic route selection. A dynamic programming approach is applied to determine the optimal route for a customer in the end-user layer.

Human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) is a member of the epidermal growth factor receptor family of receptor tyrosine kinases that plays important roles in all processes of cell development. Their overexpression is related to many cancers, including examples in the breast, ovaries and stomach. Anticancer therapies targeting the HER2 receptor have shown promise, and monoclonal antibodies against subdomains II and IV of the HER2 extra-cellular domain (ECD), Pertuzumab and Herceptin, are currently used in treatments for some types of breast cancers. Since anti HER2 antibodies targeting distinct epitopes have different biological effects on cancer cells; in this research linear and conformational B cell epitopes of HER2 ECD, subdomain III, were identified by bioinformatics analyses using a combination of linear B cell epitope prediction web servers such as ABCpred, BCPREDs, Bepired, Bcepred and Elliprro. Then, Discotope, CBtope and SUPERFICIAL software tools were employed for conformational B cell epitope prediction. In contrast to previously reported epitopes of HER2 ECD we predicted conformational B cell epitopes $P1_C$: 378-393 (PESFDGDPASNTAPLQ) and $P2_C$: 500-510 (PEDECVGEGLA) by the integrated strategy and P4: PESFDGD-X-TAPLQ; P5: PESFDGDP X TAPLQ; P6: ESFDGDP X NTAPLQP; P7: PESFDGDP-X-NTAPLQ; P8: ESFDG-XX-TAPLQPEQL and P9: ESFDGDP-X-NTAPLQP by SUPERFICIAL software. These epitopes could be further used as peptide antigens to actively immune mice for development of new monoclonal antibodies and peptide cancer vaccines that target different epitopes or structural domains of HER2 ECD.
Optimum time history analysis of SDOF structures using free scale of Haar wavelet
Mahdavi, S.H.,Shojaee, S. Techno-Press 2013 Structural Engineering and Mechanics, An Int'l Jou Vol.45 No.1
In the recent decade, practical of wavelet technique is being utilized in various domain of science. Particularly, engineers are interested to the wavelet solution method in the time series analysis. Fundamentally, seismic responses of structures against time history loading such as an earthquake, illustrates optimum capability of systems. In this paper, a procedure using particularly discrete Haar wavelet basis functions is introduced, to solve dynamic equation of motion. In the proposed approach, a straightforward formulation in a fluent manner is derived from the approximation of the displacements. For this purpose, Haar operational matrix is derived and applied in the dynamic analysis. It's free-scaled matrix converts differential equation of motion to the algebraic equations. It is shown that accuracy of dynamic responses relies on, access of load in the first step, before piecewise analysis added to the technique of equation solver in the last step for large scale of wavelet. To demonstrate the effectiveness of this scheme, improved formulations are extended to the linear and nonlinear structural dynamic analysis. The validity and effectiveness of the developed method is verified with three examples. The results were compared with those from the numerical methods such as Duhamel integration, Runge-Kutta and Wilson-${\theta}$ method.
Platelet volume indices in patients with varicocele
Mahdavi-Zafarghandi, Reza,Shakiba, Behnam,Keramati, Mohammad Reza,Tavakkoli, Mahmoud The Korean Society for Reproductive Medicine 2014 Clinical and Experimental Reproductive Medicine Vol.41 No.2
Objective: This study sought to evaluate platelet volume indices (mean platelet volume [MPV], platelet distribution width [PDW], and platelet large cell ratio [P-LCR]) in varicocele patients, and compare it with platelet volume parameters in healthy controls. Methods: This cross-sectional study involved 2 groups: group 1 included 51 varicocele subjects and group 2 consisted of 50 healthy control subjects of similar ages. Peripheral venous blood samples were collected with ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid-K2 anticoagulant between 8:30 AM and 10 AM following an overnight fast. Platelet volume parameters (MPV, PDW, and P-LCR) were measured in both groups within 2 hours of sampling. Results: The mean PDW, MPV, and P-LCR were $13.9{\pm}2.5%$, $10.1{\pm}1.3fL$, and $27.3{\pm}7.8%$ in varicocele patients, respectively, and were $12.6{\pm}2.4%$, $9.3{\pm}1.1fL$, and $21.9{\pm}6.4%$ in the control group, respectively. The mean PDW, MPV, and P-LCR were significantly higher in the varicocele group than the control group. Conclusion: The results of the present study suggest that vascular components may play an important role in the pathophysiology of varicocele; therefore, there is a great need for prospective studies to confirm this relationship.

Mahdavi, Mohammad,Amini, Mohammad Reza,Emrani, Amin,Farzanehfa, Hosein The Korean Institute of Power Electronics 2011 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.11 No.6
In this paper, a new three phase soft switching inverter is presented. All of the semiconductor elements of this converter are soft switched. Employing only two auxiliary switches as DC-link switches and a simple control circuit are the advantages of the proposed inverter. The analytical equations and operating modes of the presented inverter are explained in details. The design considerations are presented and the experimental results verify the theoretical analysis.
Gnidilatimonoein from Daphne mucronata Induces Differentiation and Apoptosis in Leukemia Cell Lines
Mahdavi, Majid,Yazdanparast, Razieh 대한약학회 2007 Archives of Pharmacal Research Vol.30 No.2
Gnidilatimonoein is a new diterpene ester, recently isolated from the leaves of Daphne macronata with potent anti-tumoral and anti-metastastic activities (Yazdanparast et al., 2004). Promyeloblastic (KG1), promyelocytic (NB4) and promonocytic (U937) cells were cultured in the presence of various concentrations of the drug (0.5-3.0 ${\mu}$M) for 3 days. Herein, we report that gnidilatimonoein induces differentiation and apoptosis in KG1 , NB4 and U937 cells. The drug inhibited growth and proliferation of KG1 , NB4 and U937 cells with IC50 values of 1.5, 1.5 and 1.0 ${\mu}$M, respectively, after 72 h of treatment. Cell viability was also decreased by 18%, 20% and 23%, respectively, after 72 h treatment with the drug. NBT reducing assay revealed that the inhibition of proliferation is associated with differentiation especially toward monocytes-like morphology. Indeed, the drug at 0.5-15 ${\mu}$M induced differentiation by 5-50% in the cells. Acridine orange/ethidium bromide (AO/EtBr) double staining and DNA fragmentation assays revealed that apoptosis occurred after differentiation of the cells. Based on the present data, it seems that the new compound is a good candidate for further evaluation as an effective chemotherapeutic agent acting through induction of differentiation and apoptosis.
