      • 芝峯 이수광 硏究(二) : 그의 社會思想을 中心으로

        Ji-Bong, Yi Soo-goang was an official scholar of middle ages of the Yi Dynasty. In 1625, he presented a memorial to the Throne which is known to us as Man Un Bong Sa. (萬言封事) First we read it and compared with Jibong-Ryusul (芝峯類設). The result, Ji-bong has deeply understanding that age's social conflict, from which his social thought has been developed. He fixed his eyes on nation and structure of authority that age's social conflict. Japanese Invasion in 1592 brought out national contradiction and intensification of partisan wrangling brought out an evil of power structure. Because of reciprocal action of this two conflict social law and order became relax. Relaxation of social law and order brought out social corruptions and social good manners are ruined spread in all social structure. So he thought establishment of laws and orders is an urgent problem. He thinks problems of personal administration of national. economic order. nation defence and establishment of socal law-order are inseparably combined. He looked evils of auditorium(書院) and saw the conflict of higher public service examination and indicated corruption of personal administration. He asserted that we must necessary of public order and operation of law-order to correct that. After Japanese Invision in 1592 Korean natinal life and national wealth was very poor. At that time Ji-bong clearly assert practical ethics. It means people are first and people equal Heaven. It is not equal that nation life are sufficient through the national wealth. He asserts not only reduction of all sort of tax and practice of Gyun-Jun-Je (均田制, a system of division into equal land under cultivation) but also pratice of monetary economic. He was a new social thinker because he designed promotion of handicraft and enlargemnt of barter. Because Ji-bong undergone the Japanese Invasion frequently engaged in goverment service of national defence, he knew fully about national defence and military administration. He pointed out conflict of Yok-Chum-Je(驛站制, one of traffic system) and he analysed why we failed in war at the strategy and armomonts. He thought that the most important thing is the number of soldiers that is security of armamonts, security of provisions. So Ji-bong said that national defence was based on democracy as the essence of nation wealth was based on national life. So he thought it is very important to be trained military by democracy for him. And he asserted that noble family (兩班) and leisured class (閑良) must be under an obligation to take the military service in order to maintain military. He admitted that public and personal servants was put into Sokogun. (東伍軍) Especially he asserted military administration was seperated from the chief who tookcharge of civil administration. He said that the military administration should take charge of military office. His theory of national defence was not to ruminate about the Japanese Invasion in 1592 but also to be concious the Later Chin (後金) that was flourishing in the Manchuria at that time. Especially we can see his thought in the problems of social position. But we can see the limit that his thought could not cope with the developement of times. We may think that Ji-bong who recognized that age's social conflict was a progressive social thinker and governor. I think his positive attitude connect with the practical science (實學) at the latter Yi Dynasty.

        We have witnessed a great interest in ontologies as an emerging technology within the Semantic Web. Its foundation that was laid in the last decade paved the way for the development of ontologies and systems that use ontologies in various domains, including the E-Learning domain. In this article, we survey key contributions related to the development and use of ontologies in the domain of E-Learning systems. We provide a framework for classification of the literature that is useful for the community of practice in categorizing work in this field and for determining possible research lines. We also discuss future trends in this area.

        Behavior of concrete-filled double skin steel tube beam-columns

        Concrete-filled double skin steel tube (CFDST) beam-columns are widely used in industrial plants, subways, high-rise buildings and arch bridges. The CFDST columns have the same advantages as traditional CFT members. Moreover, they have lighter weight, higher bending stiffness, better cyclic performance, and have higher fire resistance capacities than their CFT counterparts. The scope of this study is to develop finite element models that can predict accepted capacities of double skin concrete-filled tube columns under the combined effect of axial and bending actions. The analysis results were studied to determine the distribution of stresses among the different components and the effect of the concrete core on the outer and inner steel tube. The developed models are first verified against the available experimental data. Accordingly, an extensive parametric study was performed considering different key factors including load eccentricity, slenderness ratio, concrete compressive strength, and steel tube yield strength. The results of the performed parametric study are intended to supplement the experimental research and examine the accuracy of the available design formulas.

        Anatomical variations of trabecular bone structure in intraoral radiographs using fractal and particles count analyses

        Purpose : This study was performed to evaluate possible variations in maxillary and mandibular bone texture of normal population using the fractal analysis, particles count, and area fraction in intraoral radiographs. Materials and Methods : Periapical radiographs of patients who had full mouth intraoral radiographs were collected. Regions of interest (100*100 pixels) were located between the teeth of the maxillary anterior, premolar, and molar area, as well as the mandibular anterior, premolar, and molar areas. The fractal dimension (FD) was calculated by using the box counting method. The particle count (PC) and area fraction (AF) analyses were also performed. Results : There was no significant difference in the FD values among the different groups of age, gender, upper, and lower jaws. The mean FD value was 1.49±0.01. The mean PC ranged from 44 to 54, and the mean AF ranged from 10.92 to 11.85. The values of FD, PC, and AF were significantly correlated with each other except for the upper molar area. Conclusion : According to the results, patients with normal trabecular pattern showed a FD of approximately 1.5. Based on these results, further investigation would be recommended if the FD value of patient significantly differenct from this number, since the alteration of this value indicates microstructural modification of trabecular pattern of the jaws. Additionally, with periapical radiographs, simple and cost-effective, PC and AF could be used to assess the deviation from the normal.

      • Hybrid Homomorphic Encryption Method for Protecting the Privacy of Banking Data in the Cloud

        The time and cost saving for banks when implementing cloud computing strategies are staggering. However, it is important to consider the security and protection of data when it comes to the widespread adoption of cloud. Fully homomorphic encryption is currently still undergoing experimentations. One of its limitation is the time required to encrypt and decrypt the sensitive data, as the traditional encryption systems showed a level of resistance and considerable maturity that can be rehabilitated or hybridized for application in the field of sensitive data protection hosted in the Cloud. In this paper we will propose hybrid homomorphic system that will be applied to the banking data to perform operations on encrypted data without decrypting, based on the encrypting, the decryption and the operation treatment time on the ciphertext which were obtained by simulating an addition and multiplication homomorphic cryptosystem and comparing it with DGHV that is somewhat homomorphic; then we will choose our model which is most suitable for banking application.

        Over the last few decades, various innovative technologies have emerged that have significantly contributed to making life easier for humans. Various information and communication technologies (ITCs) have emerged as a result of the global technological revolution, including big data, IoT, 4G and 5G networks, cloud computing, mobile computing, and artificial intelligence. These technologies have been adopted in urban planning and development, which gave rise to the concept of smart cities in the 1990s. A smart city is a type of city that uses ITCs to exchange and share information to enhance the quality of services for its citizens. With the global population increasing at unprecedented levels, cities are overwhelmed with a myriad of challenges, such as the energy crisis, environmental pollution, sanitation and sewage challenges, and water quality issues, and therefore, have become a convergence point of economic, social, and environmental risks. The concept of a smart city is a multidisciplinary, unified approach that has been adopted by governments and municipalities worldwide to overcome these challenges. Though challenging, this transformation is essential for cities with differing technological and social features, which all have the potential to determine the success or failure of the digital transformation of cities into smart cities. In recent years, researchers, businesses, and the government have all turned their attention to the emerging field of smart cities. Accordingly, this paper aims to represent a thorough understanding of the movement toward smart cities. The key themes identified are smart city definitions and concepts, smart city dimensions, and smart city architecture of different layers. Furthermore, this article discusses the challenges and some examples of smart cities.

        Sry-related High Mobility Group Box 17 Functions as a Tumor Suppressor by Antagonizing the Wingless-related Integration Site Pathway

        A transcription factor Sry-related high mobility group box (Sox) 17 is involved in developmental processes including spermatogenesis, cardiovascular system, endoderm formation, and so on. In this article, we firstly review the studies on the relation between the Sox17 expression and tumor malignancy. Although Sox17 positively promotes various tissue development, most of the cancers associated with Sox17 show decreased expression levels of Sox17, and an inverse correlation between Sox17 expression and malignancy is revealed. We briefly discuss the mechanism of such Sox17 down-regulation by focusing on DNA methylation of CpG sites located in the Sox17 gene promoter. Next, we overview the function of Sox17 in the fetal hematopoiesis, particularly in the dorsal aorta in midgestation mouse embryos. The Sox17 expression in hematopoietic stem cell (HSC)-containing intra-aortic hematopoietic cell cluster (IAHCs) is important for the cluster formation with the hematopoietic ability. The sustained expression of Sox17 in adult bone marrow HSCs and the cells in IAHCs of the dorsal aorta indicate abnormalities that are low lymphocyte chimerism and the aberrant proliferation of common myeloid progenitors in transplantation experiments.         Synthesis of New Imidazolyl Acetic Acid Derivatives with Anti-inflammatory and Analgesic Activities

        We synthesized 2-(4-(4-fluorobenzylidene)-2-(4-fluorophenyl) 5-oxo-4,5-dihydroimidazol-1-yl) acetic acid 3. Chlorination afforded the chloro derivative 4, which reacted with different amines and hydrazine to afford compounds 5-8. Pyrazole, pyrazolone, and thiazolidinone derivatives were also synthesized from Imidazol-1-ylacetic acid hydrazide 8 to give compounds 9-12. Compounds were then evaluated for their anti-inflammatory activity against carrageenaninduced rat paw edema and their analgesic activity using the writhing test in albino mice. Compounds 5, 9, 10, 12 exhibited maximum anti-inflammatory activity, and all the compounds inhibited writhing, with10 and 12 being two times more effective than the reference standard.
