        Nonlocal d-dimensional Controlled-NOT with Multi-target Gate: AControlled and Local Implementation

        We investigate the controlled and local implementation of a nonlocal d-dimensional control-NOT (DCNOT) with multi-target gate (M-target). We firstly show how a nonlocal DCNOT with Mtarget gate can be implemented locally with unit fidelity and unit probability via a maximally entangled (N + 1)-qudit Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (DGHZ) state, in which a group of administrators are included. Furthermore, we put forward a scheme for probabilistically and exactly implementing this nonlocal gate by using a partially entangled DGHZ state. Using the DGHZ state in our scheme can save quantum resources, increase variety, and enhance security.

        Dielectric and pyroelectric activities in Pb(Zr1xTix)O3 ceramics: The role of the phase transition effects

        Pure and Nb-doped Pb(Zr1xTix)O3 (x ¼ 0.47, 0.48, 0.50) ceramics were prepared by conventional solidstate reaction technique. Dielectric anomalies are observed in both kinds of samples near room temperature. The anomalies could be depressed by donor doping and prefer to be significant in ceramics with tetragonal crystallographic phase. Phase transition mechanism and domain wall pinning effect are proposed to explain this anomaly, and the former is considered as the dominated reason. Further results of the pyroelectric measurements confirm the existence of the ferroelectriceferroelectric phase transition.

        An Improved Authentication and Key Agreement scheme for Session Initial Protocol

        Session initiation protocol (SIP) is a kind of powerful and common protocols applied for the voice over internet protocol. The security and efficiency are two urgent requirements and admired properties of SIP. Recently, Hamed et al. proposed an efficient authentication and key agreement scheme for SIP. However, we demonstrate that Hamed et al.`s scheme is vulnerable to de-synchronization attack and cannot provide anonymity for users. Furthermore, we propose an improved and efficient authentication and key agreement scheme by using elliptic curve cryptosystem. Besides, we prove that the proposed scheme is provably secure by using secure formal proof based on Burrows-Abadi-Needham logic. The comparison with the relevant schemes shows that our proposed scheme has lower computation costs and can provide stronger security.

        Distal pancreatectomy with splenectomy for the management of splenic hilum metastasis in cytoreductive surgery of epithelial ovarian cancer

        Objective: Distal pancreatectomy with splenectomy may be required for optimalcytoreductive surgery in patients with epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) metastasized tosplenic hilum. This study evaluates the morbidity and treatment outcomes of the uncommonprocedure in the management of advanced or recurrent EOC. Methods: This study recruited 18 patients who underwent distal pancreatectomy withsplenectomy during cytoreductive surgery of EOC. Their clinicopathological characteristicsand follow-up data were retrospectively analyzed. Results: All tumors were confirmed as high-grade serous carcinomas. The mediandiameter of metastatic tumors located in splenic hilum was 3.5 cm (range, 1 to 10 cm). Optimal cytoreduction was achieved in all patients. Eight patients (44.4%) sufferedfrom postoperative complications. The morbidity associated with distal pancreatectomyand splenectomy included pancreatic leakage (22.2%), encapsulated effusion in theleft upper quadrant (11.1%), intra-abdominal infection (11.1%), pleural effusion withor without pulmonary atelectasis (11.1%), intestinal obstruction (5.6%), pneumonia(5.6%), postoperative hemorrhage (5.6%), and pancreatic pseudocyst (5.6%). Therewas no perioperative mortality. The majority of complications were treated successfullywith conservative management. During the median follow-up duration of 25 months,nine patients experienced recurrence, and three patients died of the disease. The 2-yearprogression-free survival and overall survival were 40.2% and 84.8%, respectively. Conclusion: The inclusion of distal pancreatectomy with splenectomy as part ofcytoreduction for the management of ovarian cancer was associated with high morbidity;however, the majority of complications could be managed with conservative therapy.

        Somatic cell reprogrammed by oocyte: process and barricade

        Somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT) is a technology in which a somatic nucleus is transferred into thecytoplasm of a matured oocyte – reconstructed embryos have the capacity to develop to term. Why somaticcells can be reprogrammed by oocytes – the answer for this question must exist in the cytoplasm of maturedoocytes. In this review, totipotent characters of matured oocytes were discussed, which may confer maturedoocytes with the capacity to reprogram somatic nucleus. Moreover, the procedure of SCNT also makes apossibility for somatic nucleus to be reprogrammed by oocytes. Compared with fertilized embryos, embryosderived from SCNT exhibit low developmental ability; the barricades in reprogramming process and theirpossible reasons were also discussed. This review maybe can benefit the mechanism research of SCNTtechnology and can make contribution for improving the efficiency of this technology.

        The Application of Auriculotherapy to the Treatment of Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis

        Auriculotherapy has been extensively used for chronic spontaneous urticaria in China. However, the evidence of its effectiveness and safety for the treatment of chronic spontaneous urticaria is insufficient. Hence, we conducted this study to compare auriculotherapy or auriculotherapy joint treatment with Western medicine for the cure of chronic spontaneous urticaria. This meta-analysis of seven randomized controlled trials showed that auriculotherapy or auriculotherapy joint treatment was significantly superior to Western medicine in curing clinical signs and symptoms of chronic spontaneous urticaria [odds ration (OR), 2.61; 95% confidence interval (CI), 1.54e4.43; p Z 0.0004) and also better in total effect rate (OR, 3.81; 95% CI, 2.07e7.01; p<0.0001). But, auriculotherapy or auriculotherapy joint treatment was similar to Western medicine in improving clinical signs and symptoms of chronic spontaneous urticaria (OR, 0.74; 95% CI, 0.35e1.56;p Z 0.42). Auriculotherapy or auriculotherapy joint treatment was safer than Western medicine for curing chronic spontaneous urticaria (OR, 0.26; 95% CI, 0.09e0.80;p Z 0.02). Auriculotherapy alone or auriculotherapy joint treatment appears to be more effective and safer than Western medicine that contains antihistamines in the treatment of chronic spontaneous urticaria. However, these findings should be interpreted with caution due to the unclear risk bias of methodological quality, and further studies with large-scale, better, and more rigorously designed protocol are necessary to prove these findings.

        Using GA - BP Coupling Algorithm to Predict the High-performance Concrete Mechanical Property

        As a cementitious composite, concrete’s property depends on the matrix generated from cement hydration and the dispersed phases such as aggregates. Compression strength is an important mechanics performance index of concrete quality, especially the High-performance Concrete (HPC). However, owing to the expensive cost of test and the existence of high-dimensional nonlinear mapping between compression strength and basic materials, it is uneasiness to precisely forecast the compression strength value of HPC by general formula method. In this research, a novel machine learning system, Genetic Algorithm and BP Neural Network (GA-BPNN) coupling algorithm, is offered to predict the compression strength of HPC. GA-BPNN coupling algorithm model used 181 groups of HPC mixture data to determine 8 factors affecting its compression strength (i.e., Water, Portland Cement, Water-binder Ratio, Fine Aggregate Ratio, Air-entraining Agent, Fly Ash, Silica Fume, and Superplasticizer) as the input variables of the model, while compression strength was set as the output variable. In addition, 166 sets of training set data were segmented into training, validation and test set again, and BP neural network (BPNN) was compared with GA-BPNN to verify the generalizationcapacity of the model in this research. By forecasting the compression strength of 15 test sets, the average relative error is only 0.902%. Finally, the sensitivity of input variables of GA-BPNN model was analyzed by using Gray Relational analysis (GRA) method. Six models were established to research the impact of sensitivity and quantity of input variables on model performance by ignoring individual input variable. The research is shown that GA-BPNN model not only has the powerful nonlinear mapping ability of BPNN, but also has the global search optimization ability of GA, and showed stronger robustness and prediction potential in the assessment of compression strength value of HPC. The sensitivity analysis shows that, to compression strength of HPC, Cement, Water and Water-binder ratio has a sensitivity score of 0.8166, 0.70122, 0.66772, respectively while Fly Ash has the lowest sensitivity.

        Genetic-Algorithm-Based Optimization of Dual Stator PM Vernier Machine with Spoke and HTS Bulks

        Permanent magnet vernier machine (PMVM) has low speed and high torque characteristics. However, conventional single-rotor single-stator PMVM cannot meet the requirements of a high power factor. In this paper, a dual stator permanent magnet vernier machine (DS-PMVM) with spoke array and high-temperature superconducting (HTS) bulks is proposed to improve the power factor of the PMVM. This model adds HTS bulks between the modulation teeth to effectively suppress the magnetic field penetration, thereby reducing the magnetic flux leakage. A parametric model of DS-PMVM with 16 pole pairs PM rotor and 2 pole pairs armature field is established., and some key parameters are optimized by the genetic algorithm. The electromagnetic performance of the proposed DS-PMVM is verified by comparing with the conventional machine through the finite element simulation, which shows that the torque density of the proposed machine can reach 47.4kN m/m3 and the power factor of 0.946 under the same conditions.

        Analysis and Optimization of a Sinusoidally Magnetized Flux Reversal PM Machine with Auxiliary Teeth

        As a member of the stator permanent magnet (PM) brushless machine, the flux reversal PM (FRPM) machine has a simple structure, good fault tolerance, and high efficiency, which have caused extensive concern. However, torque ripple and magnetic flux leakage of FRPM machine limit the application prospect. Consequently, a sinusoidally magnetized (SM) FRPM machine with auxiliary teeth is proposed in this paper. SM-PM array is installed in the stator slot opening and the optimal magnetization angle of PM is investigated. Moreover, the stator added auxiliary teeth to reduce the magnetic flux leakage and stabilize the PM. To obtain better electromagnetic performance, the two machines are globally optimized by using the response surface method. Finally, the electromagnetic performance of the SM-FRPM machine is compared with the conventional FRPM machine by finite element analysis. The results show that compared with the conventional FRPM machine, the SM-FRPM machine can effectively solve the problems of serious magnetic flux leakage and low torque density. The SM-FRPM machine has higher no-load air gap flux density, no-load flux linkage, no-load back-EMF, and average torque, while the cogging torque and torque ripple are lower.

        Calculation of Torque and Loss of Coaxial Magnetic Gear with Halbach Array in 3D Model

        In two-dimensional fi eld, the end eff ect exists in the calculation of the electromagnetic characteristics of the magnetic gear, which leads to the inaccurate calculation of the air-gap magnetic fi eld and torque. In order to improve the calculation accuracy of the electromagnetic characteristics of the magnetic gear, a 3D coaxial magnetic gear (CMG) with Halbach arrays distribution is proposed in this paper. Using the unilateral eff ect of the Halbach arrays, the magnetic fi eld on the air gap side is strengthened, and the magnetic fi eld on the iron yoke side is weakened. The topology of CMG with 4 inner and 17 outer poles is established and compared with the 2D model with the same parameters. The results show that the 3D CMG with Halbach array distribution can eff ectively reduce the torque ripple, and the accuracy of torque and loss calculation is improved compared with 2D model. The analysis results can provide a basis for the design and manufacture of magnetic gear.
