마늘이 함유되어 있는 기능성 두부를 제조함에 있어 마늘의 첨가량이 두부의 품질과 저장성에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 건조 대두를 기준으로 마늘을 5-20% 첨가하여 제조한 두부의 수율, 물성 및 저장성을 마늘을 첨가하지 않고 제조한 일반두부와 비교하였다. 두부의 수율은 마늘의 첨가량에 비례하여 다소 감소하였으나 그 영향은 미미하였다. 마늘의 첨가량이 5∼10%인 경우 두부의 물성 중 견고성이 통계적으로 유의하게 증가하였으며, 마늘을 20%사용한 두부는 견고성, 부착성, 응집성, 탄성, 씹힘성이 통계적으로 유의하게 감소하였다. 제조한 두부를 15℃로 보관하면서 pH와 총균수의 변화를 측정한 결과 마늘의 첨가량에 비례하여 두부와 두부 침지액에서 pH 하락과 미생물 생육이 효율적으로 지연되었다. 두부 제조시 마늘의 첨가량은 5∼10%가 적당하였다. The effect of garlic addition on quality and shelf-life of soybean curd was investigated. The yield of garlic soybean curd slightly decreased in proportion to amount of garlic added. In the case of texture, hardness of the garlic, soybean curd increased when 5~10% garlic wat added, whereas hardness, adhesiveness, cohesiveness, springiness and chewiness significantly decreased in the case of 20% garlic added. Microbial counts of soybean curd stored in sterilized distilled water as tofu-immersion solution increased, whereas pH decreased during storage at 15℃. During all storage periods, microbial counts of the soybean curds containing garlic were always lower than that of the ordinary soybean curd. These results imply that garlic is a useful additive in suppressing the proliferation of aerobic microorganism and has a potential use in extending the shelf-life of soybean curd. According to yield, textural properties and shelf-life data, the suitable concentration of garlic was around 5~10%.

Background : Arterial blood gas analysis is the most comon exam in intensive care unit. In this study, the frequency of blood gas analysis and the amount of blood loss after Blood Gas Analysis in Intensive Care Unit were observed. Methods : From November 1999 to February 2000, 115 patients admitted to intensive care unit at Soonchunhyang university Kumi hospital were studied prospectively for the frequency of blood gas analysis and the amount of blood loss after blood gas analysis in Intensive Care Unit. Results : The mean value of frequency of blood gas analysis was 6.41±6.49 and the mean value of amount of blood loss after blood gas analysis was 0.78ml. This was lower than that of other foreign reports. The patients with ventilator therapy above 24 hours showed higher frequency of blood gas analysis than that of not applied ventilator patients. Pulse oxymetry was applied to all patients and the frequency of blood gas analysis was decreased due to the use of strict pulse oxymetry. Conclusion : Doctors and nurses in intensive care unit keep in mind that adequate blood sampling is needed for the decrease of blood loss. Education and protocol for the decrease of blood loss after arterial blood gas analysis may be necessary.

Fournier’s gangrene, a soft tissue infection which is aggressive and sometimes lethal, often passes through deep fascial planes of the penis, scrotum, perineum, and lower abdomen; however, it rarely extends upward into the high intermuscular plane. We managed a rare case of Fournier’s gangrene with a high intersphincteric abscess from a perianal infection that resulted in a large defect in the anus and inferior aspect of the scrotum. A perforator-based island flap for the post-debridement defect was performed successfully. The perforator was selected near the defect along the lateral sacral border; the border of the flap design was adjacent to the defect, thus providing a sufficient angle of rotation near the pedicle with minimal dissection. Remnant undissected tissues around the pedicle prevented postoperative vascular complications. Additionally, the distal part of the flap design was elongated to the gluteal sulcus to be harvested as a very thin flap. This study suggests a perforator-based island flap as a secure and convenient option for covering a large defect involving the perianal region and inferior aspect of the scrotum.

Increasing organic pollutants have seriously affected the ecological environment and human health, photocatalytictechnology is considered as one of the most effective and environmentally friendly treatmentmethods. In this work, a novel hierarchical polyurethane (PU)/reduced graphene oxide (RGO)/bismuthoxyiodide (BiOI) composite fiber photocatalyst is constructed via an energy-saving route consisted ofultrasonic-assisted and co-precipitation method by utilizing PU nanofibers as substrate. The RGO are firstevenly wrapped in the PU nanofiber surface and BiOI nanosheets are then uniformly grown on the PU/RGO surface to form the hierarchical PU/RGO/BiOI composite fibers with a core–shell structure. The composition,morphology and electrochemical performance of the obtained PU/RGO/BiOI were characterizedby XRD, XPS, SEM, BET, I-t and EIS. Benefited from the high specific surface area of the PU nanofiber andthe excellent electron transfer ability of the RGO, a remarkable photocatalytic activity was achieved forthe PU/RGO/BiOI composite fibers and the degradation rate of RhB is 93.2% within 180 min. Notably, comparedto the traditional suspended nanoparticles, the PU/RGO/BiOI fibers exhibit excellent flexibility andself-supporting property, and can be easily separated and recovered from the contaminated water. Thus,the obtained PU/RGO/BiOI composite fibers with high photocatalytic activity and easily separable propertyare expected to possess great potential in water purification.

In vitro plantlets of potato genotype ‘F9-99’ infected with PLRV and PVY were used for the virus eradication using heat and chemical treatments. Subculture medium was added with acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) (10??, 10??, and 10?⁴ M) and ribavirin (10, 15, and 20 ㎎ㆍL?¹) alone or in combinations. The plantlets were incubated at 25℃ (control), and alternating heat treatments 35/30℃ for 1, 4, and 8 h or 42/25℃ for 4 h. Virus status of the plantlets were examined by means of double antibody sandwich-enzyme linked immunosorbent assay and reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction. After 4?8 weeks of treatment, 40, 51, 41, 36, and 0% survival were observed in the control (MS and 25℃), ASA plus ribavirin (25℃), MS plus heat treatment (35/30℃), ASA plus ribavirin (35/30℃), and MS medium with heat treatment (42/25℃), respectively. As for virus eradication, heat treatment (35/30℃) with 1 h alternating thermo-cycle resulted in 100% PVY elimination, but it was much more difficult to remove the PLRV from the double-infected potato plantlets with PVY and PLRV. The highest rate of PLRV eradication was 60% from the combined treatment of 10?? M ASA, 20 ㎎ㆍL?¹ ribavirin, and heat treatment at 35/30℃ for 8 h alternating temperature.

Research on Flexible Business Process of Bank Modeling Based on EPC

As the further development of banking business for personalization and diversification, the bank information system is capable of dynamically adjusting business process and has set higher requirements for the flexible mechanism. This paper constructs a model of the business process based on Event-driven Process Chains (EPC), puts forward the concrete specification in the process of construction. A case study was implemented to validate the model using Pi-calculus. The results show that this model can be a powerful tool for the creation of flexible or customized business process.

In this study, we consider the transportation problem in port container terminals. It aims to determine positions in yards to place the containers at the adequate times. The containers on ship must be unloaded one by one from top to bottom, and placed in the main yard in order to reduce additional cost required for unnecessary unloading when getting out by customer with given timetable. The cost for transportation at container terminals could be reduced by a new approach in scheduling: move the containers from ship and stack them onto main yard that minimizes cost of yard crane operation when unloading for customer.
