        The usability of public agency's homepage gets increasingly interesting after the clear emphasis of e-government was on citizen-centered services. Most of related researches focus on the heuristic approach to find out opportunities of homepage improvement by using expert's evaluation. However, as for local governments whose homepage should provide services to all citizens and cover various information needs of them, the expert-driven approach seems not to be appropriate. The paper proposes an citizen-centered approach to evaluate the usability of local government's homepage and focuses on the development of usability evaluation criteria model. A simple survey was made from the model and a case study was conducted for the homepage of Seoul city. Key Words : Local Govenrnment's Homepage, Usability, Citizen Survey.

        Defecography is a test used to evaluate the functional disorders of the rectoanum that are not evident by direct visualization. Radiologic paste is inserted into the rectum by specially designed caulking gun. Then the patient is instructed to empty the rectum sitting on the commode while a fluoroscopic exam of the pelvis is carried out. By this test pelvic floor muscles and rectum can be evaluated functionally during defecation. Non-relaxing puborectalis, rectoanal intussusception, rectocele and sigmoidocele are usual conditions that this test can reveal.

      • Ciprofloxacin의 돼지 호흡기 감염증 및 설사증에 대한 치료효과

        To evaluate the clinical efficacy of ciprofloxacin (CFX) on treatment of the pigs with respiratory diseases or diarrhea. CFX at various dosages were administered intramuscularly to the diseased pigs selected from the pig farms located in Chungnam province. One hundreds and fourteen heads of pigs with respiratory diseases were divided into five groups and CFX at 0.25, 0.5, 1.0 (= 2.5mg CFX/Kg B.W.) and 2.0 doses were administered i.m. for 5 days. The recovery rates were found 31.8%, 73.9%, 91.3% and 92.0%, respectively, being higher than that of the untreated control group (19.0%). The mortality of the treated groups were 0%, that is lower than that of the control (9.5%). Seven kinds of bacteria were isolated from the respiratory organs of 86 pigs, and 34 (39.5%) of 86 pigs showed the complicated infection. In analyzing by the pigs infected with a single pathogen as P. multocida; A. pleuropneumonia. Staphyloccus spp. or Mymplasma spp., the recovery rates were 0∼66.6% at 0.25 dose, 66.6∼100% at 0.5 dose and 100% in all of 4 pathogens at 1.0 to 2.0 doses. At 0.25 dosage the pigs infected with A. pleuropneumonia showed the lowest recovery rate. One hundreds and twenty two heads of pigs with diarrhea were divided into five groups and CFX at 0.25, 0.5, 1.0 (= 2.5mg CFX/Kg B.W.) and 2.0 doses were administered i.m. for 5 days. The recovery rates were 29.1 %, 40.0%, 80.0% and 88.0%, respectively. The mortality of the treated groups were 0∼8.3%, being much lower than that of the control. Four kinds of bacteria were isolated from the fecal specimens of 94 pigs, and 84 (89.0%) of 94 pigs showed the complicated infection.

      • 움직이는 관찰자의 두 눈 위치 추적 알고리즘

        본 논문에서는 움직이는 관찰자용 3차원 디스플레이를 하기 위해서, 관찰자의 움직임을 CCD카메라를 통해 정확히 위치 추적을 할 수 있는 알고리즘의 개발을 다룬다. 특히 고성능의 하드웨어 장비가 아닌, 일반적으로 사용되는 개인용 컴퓨터에서도 두 눈을 찾아내고 위치를 추적할 수 있는 알고리즘의 개발이 주 내용으로서, 개발된 알고리즘을 실제 적용한 시험 결과를 제시하여 본 방법의 두 눈 위치 추적 성능이 우수함을 밝힌다. In this paper, we suggest the methods of detecting the two eyes position of moving viewer by using images obtained through the color CCD camera. This procedure is necessary for future 3D display technique, in which the moving viewer can see the 3D image continuously.

      • 상부 위암에서 유문보존 근위부 위아전절제술과 공장간치술을 시행한 위전절제술의 비교

        Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate the short-term outcome of a pylorus-preserving proximal gastrectomy by comparing it with a jejunal interposition after a total gastrectomy in proximal gastric adenocarcinoma. Materials and Methods: For 22 patients (12 men and 10 women) who underwent a pylorus-preserving proximal gastrectomy, several clinical parameters were obtained from the medical records retrospectively. In this study, the data were collected between September 1993 and December 1999 at Chungnam National University Hospital, and the results were compared with those of 25 patients (17 men and 8 women) who underwent an isoperistaltic simple jejunal interposition. Results: The average operative time in the pylorus-preserving proximal gastrectomy group (220 minutes) was shorter than that in the jejunal interposition group (243 minutes) (P<0.05). The hemoglobin and hematocrit levels were significantly higher in the pylorus-preserving proximal gastrectomy group at 2 years after the operation. The body weight ratio (postoperative body weight/preoparative body weight) in patients who had a pylorus-preserving proximal gastrectomy was significantly higher than that in patients with a jejunal interposition at 2 years after the operation. The jejunal interposition procedure had better outcomes in anastomotic site stricture, duration of hospital stay, and number of removed lymph nodes (P<0.05). Conclusions: We think that from the viewpoint of quality of life, a pylorus-preserving proximal gastrectomy, as well as a jejunal interposition, is a useful reconstruction method for early adenocarcinomas of the proximal stomach. However, stricture of the esophagogastrostomy site in the pylorus-preserving proximal gastrectomy is a common problem to be solved in the future. (J korean Gastric Cancer Assoc 2002;2:145-150)

      • 분자생물학적 기법을 이용한 가금 뉴켓슬병의 진단과 예방법 개발에 관한 연구 : 종설 A Review

        Newcastle disease(ND) that is caused by Newcastle disease virus(NDV) classified into genus Rubulavirus, subfamily Paramyxovirinae in Paramyxoviridae is an infectious disease of poultry, being characterized with the respiratory, digestive and nervous signs with high morbidity and mortality. The severity of symptoms are depending on pathogenicity of the strains. By a strict quarantine and control measures, ND has been completely eradicated in the developed countries. Since the first outbreak of ND in 1929 in Korea, the government has defined ND into the first class disease and implemented various control measures including vaccination program regulated by the law of infectious animal disease control. However, the disease is persistently prevailing in the poultry farms causing a significant economic losses in the domestic poultry industry. To overcome the present disadvantages, it has been indicated that development and application of more effective and advanced technology are necessary for successful control and eradication of ND. Recently many scientists over the world have actively investigated to elucidate the molecular pathogenesis of NDV and develope more advanced methods for diagnosis and prevention of ND control using molecular biotechnology. A number of scientific reports therefore have been published in these fields. This review includes the available literatures on development of diagnosis and prevention of ND using molecular biotechnology up to date, in the aspects of reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction, restriction fragment length polymorphism, nucleic acid hybridization, gene sequence analysis and recombinant subunit vaccine.

      • Coherent 레이다 디지탈 신호처리용 저부엽 도플러 필터 뱅크 합성 알고리즘

        본 논문은 Coherent 레이다 도플러 프로세싱에 직접 적용할수 있는 저부엽(Low Sidelobe) 도플러 필터 뱅크 합성 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 필터 뱅크는 FIR(Finite Impulse Response) Transversal 필터로 구성된다. 합성 알고리즘은 DFT(Discrete Fourier Transform) 상수를 초기치로 한 필터 Response와 목표 부엽레벨의 차이를 Cost 함수로 정의하고, 필터계수에 대한 Cost 함수의 역구배(Negative Gradient)를 취해서 Cost값이 감소하는 방향의 벡터를 먼저 구한다. 위 벡터 방향으로 일정량(Step Size)만큼 필터 계수를 변화시키면 Cost값이 감소되면서 부엽이 줄어진 필터가 만들어지고, 이를 반복해서 수행하면 설계치에 가장 접근된, 즉 Minimum Mean Square Error를 갖는, 필터를 합성할수 있다. 시뮬레이션을 통하여 알고리즘의 성능을 나타내는 설계치 접근도 및 수렴속도를 고찰해 본 결과 상당히 우수한 것으로 확인되었고, 변화 Step의 크기에 따라 결과에 민감한 영향을 나타내고 있음을 알수 있었다. This paper concerns low sidelobe digital doppler filter bank synthesis algorithm which is practically applicable to coherent pulse doppler radar. The structure of filter bank consists of FIR transversal type. Synthesis algorithm, firstly, computes negative gradient vector with respect to cost function which is mean square error between desired sidelobe response and actual response. And then it performs an iteration with initial DFT filter coefficients. The simulation shows that the proposed algorithm has an excellent performance on the convergence speed and accuracy to the desired sidelobe level. The performance, however, was significantly affected by the size of variation step.

      • 비특이성 공장 궤양에 의한 장천공 증례보고

        The nonspecific ulceration of small bowel is extremely rare. But we recently experienced a case of panperitonitis from the perforation of nonspecific jejunal ulceration. The patient was a 25 years-old female, who was brought to the hospital because of sudden diffuse abdominal pain. She underwent operation under the impression of perforated peptic ulcer, but it was revealed by operative finding that she had jejunal ulceration with perforation. The cause of the ulceration was pursued thoroughly without positive result. We finally diagnosed the condition as nonspecific jejunal ulceration with perforation, and we report
