Phase Transformation Modeling for Hypo Peritectic Steel in Continuous Cooling

Phase change of steel during cooling affects the slab qualities in continuous casting. Especially, crack susceptibility of hypoperitectic steel is high because large volume shrinkage occurs by peritectic phase transformation during solidification andcooling. In continuous cooling, phase change is different from the behaviors under the equilibrium condition, such as undercoolingand extend of peritectic reaction, etc. Therefore, we develop a new phase change model considering thermodynamics,empirical equations, and carbon diffusion in each phase to predict phase change behavior during continuous cooling. Inthis model, phase change of hypo peritectic steel comprises 5 stages until all phases become the γ phase. The velocities ofthe δ/γ interface and phase fractions during cooling are calculated according to cooling rate, undercooling of the γ phase,and carbon contents. The results show that if solidification ends by the δ phase during dTp,the γ phase is formed by massivetransformation. On the contrary, if peritectic reaction starts with liquid, the γ phase is formed and grows by diffusionaltransformation. In latter case, massive transformation of remaining δ phase can occur with high undercooling or very fastcooling rates. This analysis shows that there are several different paths depending on carbon contents of hypo peritectic steels.

Kyung-Hee University in Seoul accept changing of education environment to deal with World's information technology society so that school had preparing the Masterplan to grow up campus's vision since 2006th. Finally we finish up this plan. However, realization of the Masterplan need a lot of financial resources, much times and phases in improvement. Especially, our school needs symbolized business in 2009 due to school of 60th anniversary. So we made a plan that to construct by design which is going to reshape campus's main road and westside afforest place for future. As a result, purpose of research is to improve an atmosphere conducive to academic pursuit, to show up greatness of school and to deal with changing school's environment rapidlly. That is why the Masterplan is trying to find school of superb scenic and developing of environment to congratulate of our school's 60th anniversary main approach and walking spaces.

<P>Electrospun and alcohol‐dispersed polystyrene‐poly(styreneco‐maleic anhydride) (PS‐PSMA) nanofibers, which allow for facile conjugation of antibodies, are used as an innovative cell isolation/enrichment and support/release platform. As reported by Kyung‐Mi Lee, Jungbae Kim, and co‐workers on page 4448, this work opens up the potential for an innovative immune cell therapy in which specific immune cells are isolated by antibody‐conjugated nanofibers and are directly delivered to the target sites under the controlled and sustained release of immune cells via in vivo activation. </P>

Numerical Analysis on Crack Generation Behavior of Hypo Peritectic Steel in Continuous Casting Process

Hypo peritectic steels exhibit a high possibility of longitudinal crack during continuous casting. Therefore, many researchershave studied the mechanisms of crack generation in hypo peritectic steel. Stress in solidified shell, or volume contractionwith small liquid fractions were suggested as the mechanisms of crack generation. A new model was developed for predictingpossibility of crack generation by calculating strain rates in solid, volume contraction rate during solidification, and theprobability of liquid unfilling in continuous cooling processes. The results show that massive transformation from the δphase to the γ phase, and peritectic transformation during solidification can be the main crack generation mechanisms. Furthermore,a linear relationship exists between the amount of undercooling for peritectic transformation (dTp) and the carboncontent of the boundary for dividing the two crack generation mechanisms. Additionally, the longitudinal crack ratios ofthe field results are analyzed through strain rates in solid and liquid unfilling possibilities. Relative positions in the range ofhypo peritectic steel and effective carbon contents are suggested to analyze the crack ratio of steels with alloying elements. This analysis shows that the results obtained from the new models for crack generation possibility are usable, and dTpcangenerate the behavioral differences in crack generation according to the conditions.

Kyung-Hee University Global Campus accepted changing of education environment to adapt to the World's information technology society so that school has been preparing the Master plan to grow up campus's vision since 2007. However, realization of the Master plan need a lot of financial resources, much times and phases in improvement. Especially, our university needs symbolized business in 2009 due to the 60th anniversary of our university. Based on this we want to improve the main entrance road environment from school gate to the school of international management and reconstruct the spatial environment beside the main road. The purpose of this research is to construct a pedestrian space environment and reconstruct the campus environment which adapt to the new times' demands. That is why the Master plan is trying to find the landscape scenic which adapts to our school' s main entrance space and the improvement method about the pedestrian space of the Global campus to congratulate of our university's 60th anniversary.

근대계몽기 『경향신문』의 편집 전략과 독자 수용 정책

The purpose of this paper is to examine the policy for readers and literatures of the newspaper Kyunghyang during modern enlightenment period. It was very important for modern newspapers to improve readers’ reading. The newspaper Kyunghyang had also played an important role for forming new novels and modern readers. Actually, the newspaper Kyunghyang had been published for Korean Catholics. However editors had also the strategy for general readers who were not Catholics. They had divided newspapers into two types. One was the outside paper for general readers, who could have got general information and articles. The other was the inside paper for Catholics, who could have got religious doctrines for Catholic. The newspaper Kyunghyang had posted 〈the readers’ column〉 so called 〈Gongham〉 that means a public box. Readers of the newspaper had came to understand each other and participated in the process for making the news. Therefore the newspaper Kyunghyang had an important effect on forming readers acting and reading.

척추질환 입원환자의 연도별 변동추이에 대한 통계적 고찰

Objectives : The aim of this study was to find the change in the number of inpatient with spine disease, data were reviewed on inpatients who was diagnosed as spine disease in the Kyung-hee Medical Center(KHMC) for 25 years(1980~2004). Methods : Analysis data of the number of spinal disease was based on the KHMC annual report for 25 years(1980~2004). Results : 1. The number of inpatient in KHMC with spine disease has been increasing during 25years from 1980 to 2004(p-value:0.000) 2. The number of inpatient in KHMC with ankylosing spodylitis(AS) is increasing during 25years from 1980 to 2004(p-value=0.000) 3. The number of inpatient in KHMC with spinal stenosis is increasing during 25years from 1980 to 2004(p-value=0.000) 4. The number of inpatient in KHMC with herniated nucleus pulposus of cervical spine(HNP of C-spine) is increasing during 25years from 1980 to 2004(p-value=0.000) 5. The number of inpatient in KHMC with herniated nucleus pulposus of Lumbar spine(HNP of L-spine) is increasing during 25years from 1980 to 2004 (p-value=0.007) Conclusions : It is suggesting that the number of patients of spinal stenosis and HNP of L-spine increase at KHMC.

‘쓰이는 텍스트’로서의 『별건곤』과 대중문학 독자의 형성

This paper aims to investigate the Magazine Byulgungon as “a Scriptible Text” and the formation of readers for Popular literatures. Especially readers in the Magazine Byulgungon were connected to new popular literature in 1930’s. The Magazine Byulgungon was published in Oct. 1926, and has been discontinued as Vol. 73. in Jun. 1934. At the first place, it was very first magazine for “tastes” in colonized Chosun. Tastes were related with readers’s who were the people of the middle classes or the lower classes. Actually editors in the Magazine Byulgungon would like to educate readers of the middle or low classes, reading the practical contents in the magazine. However, readers’ desires were different from intellectual editors and authors. They had desired to change the Magazine Byulgungon owing to regard it as “a Scritible Text” by Roland Gerard Barthes. According to The Reader, the Text, the Poem written by Louis M. Rosenblatt, editors’ desires and readers’ had caused “the transaction” with each other in the Magazine Byulgungon. Therefore the Magazine Byulgungon is very important text as “a Scriptible Text” that readers and editors continuously created it together. This transaction has led to several popular narratives and modern popular readers. At the same time, the Magazine Byulgungon had made popular readers prepare be able to be reders for modern literatures.

Conservation and Share of Memory on Modern History -Focused on Operating Case of the Busan Modern History Museum- Jang, Kyung-jun [Abstract] In this writing, after retrospecting activities of the Busan Modern History Museum on memory conservation during the time and investigating outcomes and problems appearing there, it suggested tasks to share memory on the public and modern history. The Busan Modern History Museum, from 2003 opening to now, through exhibit, acamedic research and investigation, social education, and etc, has thrown its effort to introduce history and culture of modern Busan. In the result, the existence of the Busan Modern History Museum gradually became known and the status as modern specialized museum increased. However, there are still many remaining tasks in front of the Busan Modern History Museum. First, contents fitting to the place should be contained so that historical sites are revived as places of memory. Second, through exhibits and education, it should communicate with the public and local communities endlessly. Regarding museum and exhibition, exhibit and education are main channel and method to communicate with them. Thus, afterwards more materials should be collect and studied, and organized and preserved, containing stories here to convey. Third, through endless self-examination and efforts, the public`s support and cooperation should be drawn. Without their support and cooperation, playing its role as the place of memory is impossible from the start. For this, it should commit itself to its duty such as collecting materials and conservation, investigation research, exhibit, education, and etc, and local governments and etc should help this from the side with the extensive support. At the same time, local communities along with colleges should spare no active support and advice with higher attention at museum and exhibition. By doing this, modern museums and exhibition will settle down as the place of memory to share and communicate the real memories of the public and history.

『대한민보』의 소설 정책과 근대 독서 그룹의 형성

This thesis studied on relationships between the policy of newspaper and several readers’ groups. Daehaminbo(大韓民報) was Korean Daily Newspaper that published vol. 357 from Jun. 2 in 1909 to Aug. 8 in 1910. It had published by Daehanhyuphoe(大韓協會). Daehaminbo had the dual strategy for readers had read the newspaper, as considering the category of the column on literature and the arts. One was for high-level readers, so called intellectual readers who could understand Chinese letter(Hanmun, 漢文). As they had learned Chinese letter in Seodang, korean traditional education institution, they was accustomed to Chinese letter. Daehaminbo made the readers" column, Punglim(諷林) for intellectual readers. The other was for low-level readers, so called female readers who could understand Korean letter(Hangul). They traditionally had been enjoying Korean novels. It related with the serial novels in the newspaper. Serial novels had been steadily published in a front-page in Daehaminbo. As they was written by Korean letter(Hangul), female readers and the people of the lower classes who could not read and write Chinese letter(Hanmun, 漢文) were able to enjoy them. Especially Daehaminbo(大韓民報) for readers had elaborated various strategies. One of them was a serial novel column. At the first place, it was so much emphasis placed on a serial novel in the newspaper Daehaminbo(大韓民報). They tried to publish a short novel in the newspaper. The title was hua-su(花愁) that means anxiety of a flower. The Kim"s wife had a husband who kept a mistress, and she was deserted by her husband, Mr. Kim. This short novel was for female readers as a type of a domestic novel. Editors of Daehaminbo(大韓民報), therefore, considered a serial novel column for female readers who could read Hangul(Korean letters). By the way, next serial novel was changed for male readers. The serial novel unquestionably had written by Hangul(Korean letters), but contents of the serial novel were replaced by them for male readers. Daehaminbo(大韓民報) had changed male-like novels and female-like novels by turns. It had made intellectual readers read Korean novels and given birth to new reading group for intellectuals.
