The Oriental Medicine is described with so many terms of its own theory causing misunderstand of the concept which is expressed with same term used in modern medicine. Muscular system is also used in the both medicines, the Oriental Medicine and modern medicine. For the purpose of resolving the misunderstand of using the medical terms, we referred to a large number of literature for the muscular system in both medicine. Although there are few references concerning about systematic components in the Oriental Medicine, among the concepts of the Oriental Medicine, there are comparatively many approaches to the Meridian muscular system, a muscular system related with the Meridian, Therefore, there are many similarities and differences in the interrelation between the muscular system which was stated at the time of the concept of the Meridian system was developed and anatomical muscular system in the modern medicine. As a result of survey the references, we found out that anatomical muscular system is limited to visual compartments, whereas the Meridian muscular system is covering not only visual components but also the relation with internal organs. We conclude that there are conceptual differences in the kyung-keun system in the past and anatomical muscular system in the present.

William Faulkner의 黑人像

From the ante-bellum age to the present, most of the American writers have consciously or unconsciously expressed their attitudes toward the Negro in their literary works. In the age of colonial America the black seem far from being white-folks. The white thought that negroes belonged to vile stocks. They could not but admit negroes' barbarity, folly, inferiority and inequality by the slavery. But American authors in the ante-bellum period have created various characters of the Negro as a holy savage, a loyal old slave, a contented slave, a vicious brute or a heroic man. Particularly H. B. Stowe described Uncle Tom as a saint who forgave the vicious white and even the black under their ill-treatmeat. Dying after all the faithful devotion, Tom prayed for them. From this respect we can see Christ's image in Uncle Tom. Post-bellum writers, such as Mark Twain created a new character of negro. He described the first negro with a marked individuality in American Literature. But in William Faulkner, the images of the Negro have changed much in their characters. In the Sound and the Fury, Dilsey who emanated amid the Compson criples, the soundness of her religious faith and of her common sense both, shows us the images of bravery, fidelity, honesty, endurance and tolerance. Charles in Absalom, Absalom! is the image of the indignation and vengeance for failing to identify himself while Sam Fathers in the Bear symbolizes the images of dignity, pride, forbearance, modesty and courage. In intruder in the Dust, though Lucas Beauchamp is a man of noble character, we can find a simple, silly and superstitious aspects in him. Joe Christmas in Light in August represents the images of resistance and revolt making us feel pathos, heroism and complications between the white blood and the black one. In short Faulkner created American negro images of bravery, courage, generosity, endurance, honesty, modesty, dignity and resistance. These were his favorite characters whom he had to wanted to describe in his famous works. These images of negro Faulkner created in his works has now become the eternal ones in the American literature.

게르마늄 내성효모의 성분분석

1. 게르마늄 내성효모는 64.0%의 높은 단백질을 함유하고 있었으며 일반효모보다 단백질의 함량이 증가하였으며, 지질, 총당, 환원당, 조다당의 함량도 감소, 또는 증가하는 등 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 2. 게르마늄 내성효모의 총 지방산의 함량은 0.31㎍/g으로 일반효모보다 감소한 것을 알 수 있었으며 특히 포화 지방산의 함량은 현저히 감소하였다. 3. 내성효모균은 asparagine, glutamin acid, leucine의 함량 등의 아미노산 함량이 일반효모보다 증가하였으며, 일반효모균에 있던 cystein이 포함되지 않는 반면, 일반효모균에는 없었던 tyrosine이 포함되어 있는 것으로 나타났다. 4. 내성효모균 단백질의 Sephdex G-75 column과 DEAE-cellulose ion exchange column에 의한 분리 pattern을 일반효모균 단백질과 비교하여 보면, 큰 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이와같이 게르마늄 함유배지에 적응시킨 내성효모의 성분이 일반효모균의 성분과 차이가 있는 것은 게르마늄이 효모세포내에 흡착되어 유기 게르마늄을 생합성하는 과정에서 효모세포내의 다른 성분들의 생합성과정에 영향을 미치는 것으로 추측된다. A germanium-tolerant yeast was derived by a series of subcultures in the media containing increasing Ge0_2 concentrations and incubated in the medium containing GeO_2(80ppm). The proximate compositions, polysaccharides, fatty acids and amino acids of germanium-tolerant yeast were analyzed and compared with those of wild-type yeast. The protein of germanium-tolerant yeast was also fractionated by Sephadex G-75 column chromatography and DEAE-cellose ion exchange chromatography and compared with those of wild-type yeast.

영지버섯(Ganoderma lucidum)의 균사체 생산에 관하여

약효가 다양한 영지버섯의 균사체 생산에 최적인 배지를 조성코저 몇가지 실험을 통하여 아래와 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1.영지버섯을 2% soluble starch, 0.5% yeast extract, 0.5% KH₂PO₄, 0.01% MgSO₄.7H₂O그리고 0.001% K₂HPO₄로 조성한 배지에서 27℃로 7인간 진탕배양(120 rpm)했을때 16.38mg/ml로 최대의 균사체를 얻었다. 2.최적 배지내에서 균주의 배양 4일까지는 탄수화물을 서서히 감소하고, 환원당을 급격히 증가하였다. 그러나 배양4일 이후부터는 탄수화물과 환원당 모두 급격히 감소하였다. 3.최적 배지내에서 pH는 초기에 5.5에서 배양 3일째에 4.0으로 떨어져 배양 7일까지 지속되었다. In order to increase the mycelial production of Ganodermalucidum which exhibits various phamacological effects on mammalian, some ingredients of medium were investigated. 1.The effective culture medium for the mycelial production by the culture contained 2% soluble starch, 0.5% yeast extract, 0.5% KH₂PO₄, 0.01% MgSO₄.7H₂O and 0.001% K₂HPO₄ 2.The maximum yield of the mycelium of the culture was 16.38mg/ml when it was grown in the effective medium with rotary shaking (120 rpm) at 27℃ for 7 days. 3.During the culture of the strain in the effective medium, total carbohydrate in medium was decreased with the culture time but reducing sugar rapidly increased by the three days of culture time; it was decreased three days later. 4.The pH in the effective medium was decreased from 5.5 at the initial culture time to 4.0 on the third day but was maintained till the seventh day since then.

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn의 연구

Recent criticism on Mark Twain's writings has emphasized his late works and deepening despair. But in this study I try to pursue a new perspective in Twain's work : the problem of human alienation and images of water and space in his fiction, The Adventures of Huckberry Finn. In chapter one of part II, the problem of human alienation and its patterns in Huck Finn are examined. In this study the term alienation does not refer to existential alienation, the alienation typified by Camus's Stranger who was so deadened to the world as to be incapable of emotional response. Rather, the term refers to a moral alienation that manifests itself psychologically. Alienation is an aspect of the response of Mark Twain and his narrative personae ; the term describes their sense of being psychological outsiders, characters who never feel wholly, that is, unselfconsciously, part of their own societies. Twain's alienated characters are always conscious of their differences from others ; they rarely, however, reject the world outright. Rather, their estrangement is manifested in a private loneliness : the alien's critical consciousness erects a psychological barrier between the self and others. Water and space, which I discuss in chapter two of part II, are the two most closely linked of still water with "airy space" gave way to an association of outer space with infinity, both suggest that the notion of escape from gravity bore with it a sense of ecstasy. In Twain's narrative strategies showing how his narrative personae exhibit his alenation, I examined the preferred images that generate his resolutions ; only then I brought phenomenological insights to bear in these images in an attempt to elucidate the philosophy of mind they suggest. Anyway, alienation is the key to much narrative patterning and imagery in this work : it is simultaneously caused by the situation in which the narrators find themselves, increased by the exigencies if their reportorial task, and resolved by the discovery of images that render access to spiritual or psychological transcendence.

지방자치단체간 인사교류 활성화 방안 : 충청남도의 사례를 중심으로 A Case Study of the Southern Choongchung Province

한국의 지방정부는 행정수요의 변화에 능동적으로 대처하고, 높은 생산성과 세계경쟁력을 갖춘 정부로의 변화를 요청 받고 있다. 특히 지방분권화에 따른 내부역량 강화 차원에서 지방 정부는 인력관리의 효율성 제고와 유연하고 탄력적인 인력관리를 위하여 인력관리 부문의 개혁을 지속적으로 추진하는 과정에 있다. 행정서비스의 효율적인 운영의 주체는 사람이므로 지방정부의 생산성 향상을 위한 지방공무원의 전문화, 능력발전, 인사교류 등 '사람을 다루는 인사관리'가 주요한 개혁과제로 인식되고 있다. 국가적 차원에서 한정된 인적자원을 보다 효율적으로 운영하기 위해서 정부간 또는 정무-민간부문간에 보다 활발한 인적자원 교류의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 그러나 민선자치단체장 이후 지방정부의 인사교류가 활발하게 이루어 지고 있지 않아 국가 전체적인 측면에서 인력활용의 극대화를 도모하지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 지역할거주의와 자기조직제일주의 그리고 동류집중(inbreeding) 등을 줄이기 위해서는 교류를 촉진해야 한다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 지방자치단체간 인사교류의 현황과 문제점을 살펴보고, 지방자치단체간 인사교류의 활성화를 위한 개선방안을 모색하는데 있다. In the last decade, Korea has undergone considerable socio-political change. The Korean citizen is now exercising newly gained democratic freedoms including making demands upon Korean local governments are further compelled to reform systems and practices in order to improve the nation's overall global competitiveness. This paper will argue that the primary focus of improving local governments should be to improve the competencies of human capital. For example, local governments need to improve the efficiency and flexibility of human resource management through professionalization of the work force and structured human resource development including personnel exchanges. In order to promote mobility and flexibility of human resources, this paper examines personnel exchange practices in Korean local governments. There might be various reasons for underdevelopment of personnel exchange in Korea, but one reason for the fact that personnel exchange has not been practiced actively is that since the mid-1990s the chief executive officers of Korean local governments have become elected positions. Therefore, newly elected mayors and governors have been reluctant to deploy their most competent employees to other regions for fear the services upon which their re-election hopes depend might deteriorate. This study first reviews existing problems of personnel exchange in Korean local governments, and then suggests possible policy alternatives in order to promote personnel exchanges between the local governments and even suggest exchanges from other sectors.
