      • FUZZY를 이용한 GPS 수신기 위치데이터의 정확도 개선

        The global positioning system(GPS) is a satellite based precise positioning system avaliable worldwide. The GPS have many error sources. The earth's ionosphere and atmosphere cause delays in the GPS signal that translate into position errors. Some errors can be factored out using mathematics and modeling. The configuration of the satellites in the sky can magnify other errors. The problem of accuracy on GPS measurement data can be meaningful In this study, we propose the method for GPS positioning accuracy improvement. The fuzzy set theory on PDOP(position dilution of precision) and SNR(signal to noise ratio) provide improved for measured positioning data. The accuracy of positioning has been improved by selecting data from original using the fuzzy set theory on PDOP and SNR.

        This paper describes the effect of air-assisted fuel injection system(AAI) using compressed air to improve the performance of lean combustion engine. AAI is designed to promote fuel atomization and intake flow. In order to investigate the performance of engine with AAI, experiments are conducted varying to the engine revolution speed, lean air-fuel ratio and intake manifold pressure. Compared with the original engine, the performance of the engine with AAI is improved as the air-fuel mixture becomes leaner or the engine load becomes lower. The decreasing rate of BSFC is proportional to the relative air-fuel ratio, and lean misfire limit extended more than 0.2 relative air-fuel ratio.

        노인외상환자의 외상중증도계수와 동통감지력의 변화에 대한 임상적 고찰

        Because elderly individuals are participitating in social work as adult inspite of their physical handicapes such as hearing difficulty, visual difficulty and limit of motion, they are continually exposed to the risk of injury. Trauma is now fifth cause of death in elderly of over 65 years old, and the elderly suffer disproportionately high injury-related motality comparing with younger adults. In addition, sometimes elderly patients don`t complaint of pain on injured site because of high threshold to pain. We studied about occurence of neglected injury due to high threshold to pain in geriatric trauma patients. When we diagnosised injury that patients did not complaint of pain on injured site through physical examination and radiologic examination, we defined that as neglected injury. There were 8 (8%) geriatric patients who didn`t complaint of pain on injured site on admission to emergency center, but only 0.7% of adult patients had neglected injury. The severity was estimated by use of AIS(Abbreviated Injury Scale), and the severity of all neglected injuries were above AIS 2 point. The neglected injury were head injuries(4 in number), abdominal injury(1), pelvic injuries(2) and extremity injury(1). So if geriatric trauma patients were admitted to emergency center, we recommand full physical and radiological examinations although patients don`t complaint of pain.

      • 생체 전기의 임상적 이용실태에 대한 고찰

        To know the frequency of the clinical physiologic test (:bioedectrometrics) which is regarded as an indication of the importance of bioedectric sign and of the increase of medical benefit to man, and to prove the necessity of the eledtric sign in the step of the first medical treatment, I examined the diagnostic results of the physical electric sign made in the bioelectrometric laboratory of Chun-nam university hospital. A slight electric current is produced in the body surface because of the excitement resulted from the stimulation when cardiac miscle, cerebral cell and skeletal muscle is impulsed. This electric current is called physical electric sign. We can apply the informations obtained from this physical electric sign to various clinicobiochemical tests. Bioelectrometric which does not give any pain to person gives us a lot of indirect medical informations is widely used in study, therapy and diagnosis owing to the development of science such as edectronics, mechanics, physiology etc. We can see that the frequency of this test increases by 15% every year, and the abnormal condition can be looked for easily in comparson with other usual tests and that edectrocardiogram (: ECG) is useful in adult and electroencephalogram (;EEG) in infant. We should pay attention to the abnormal percentage ECG of 68.85% in the forties and EEG positive rate 65.38% in the teens. Both ECG and EEG tend to be recorded as comparatively high positive rate in the forties regardless of sex Though bioelectrometrics is indirect medical information, it should be widely used to discover diseases without delay and prevent adolescent diseases.

        Laminar natural convection film condensation of a vapor including a noncondensable gas which is heavier than the vapor on a horizontal tube is analyzed by using counterflow boundary-layer techniques. As the bulk concentration of air increases, continuous transitions of interested quantities from the case of pure vapor are presented. The numerical results are in goods agreement with the available experimental data.

        혼수상태의 외상환자에서 초음파를 이용한 흉부 및 복부손상의 진단

        The need for rapid diagnosis and treatment of life-threatening thoracic and intra-abdominal injury result in controversy over the appropriate triage of unconscious blunt trauma patients. To aid in early decisions for these patients, a prospective analysis of 98 patients with glasgow coma scale(GCS) scores≤8 was undertaken. Although intra-thoracic and intra-abdominal injuries were frequently identified based on systolic blood ressure, the use of clinical signs alone resulted in more missed injuries than did using the emergency ultrasonography. In normotensive patients(n=34), intra-thoracic injuries was identified in one patient(2.9%), and intra-abdominal injuries were in 7 patients(20.6%). In shock(systolic blood pressure<90mmHg) Pa-tients(n=64), thoracic injuries and intra-abdominal injuries were diagnosed in 8(12.5%) and 27 patients(42.3%), thoracic and abdominal combined injuries were identified in 11 patients(17.2%). The sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of emergency ultrasonography were 96.3%, 91.7%, 94.9%. This study suggests that all unconscious trauma patients undergo immediate emergency ultrasonography to prevent missing life-threatening injuries.

      • 都心地 發破에서의 地盤振動 測定에 關한 硏究

        The blast vibrations were measured from 10 places through Seoul subway area to study their effects on the structures and to establish the safe blasting limits. For purpose of the present study, particle velocity only was recorded and analyzed, because it correlated most directly with damage. The results are as follows: (1) The proagation equation, V=K(D/W1/3)-n was obtained. Typical values could be found for n range from 1.7 to 1.5 and for k range from 48 to 138. (2) From the relationship between schmidt hammer rebound hardness and uniaxial compressive strength, Sc=0.514×(S.H)0.23, the compressive strength at any area can be assumed. (3) The use of AN-FO and other explosives with low detonation pressure may reduce vibration levels generated.

        외상후 혈뇨환자에서 응급 초음파검사의 의의

        The Ultrasonography is rapid, mobile, and noninvasive diagnostic tool in emergency center. As a result, we estimate it`s value as an advocated primary diagnostic modality in the immediate evaluation of patients with multiple trauma. We investigated 60 patients with traumatic hematuria(microscopic hematuria or gross hematuria) who visited our emergency department from 1995, July to 1996, March. To evaluate the injury of urinary systems, emergency physician examined patients with hematuria by ultrasonography, and comapared the results with those of excretory urography and computed tomography. We demonstrated 21 positive findings for abnormal fluid collection and renal parenchymal injury and bladder rupture on ultrasonography. All bladder injuries were diagnosised by ultrasonography, and all major renal injury(grade Ⅲ,Ⅳ,Ⅴ) were also diagnosised by that. The accuracy of emergency ultrasound examination in traumatic hematuria was 97.0%, and sensitivity was 95.0% with specificity of 97.4%. The ultrasonography was an accurate diagnostic adjunct in detecting renal injury and bladder injury in traumatic hematuria patients. Ultrasonography provides an excellent noninvasive diagnostic tool for the initial screening study of patients with traumatic hematuria.
