객체관계 데이터베이스를 이용한 XML 문서 저장 모델 설계

최근 인터넷의 발전으로 인하여 정보교환을 위한 표준으로 XML에 대한 활용이 늘어나면서 이들 문서에 대한 저장 및 검색에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 객체관계 데이터베이스의 모델링 기법을 이용하여 XML 문서 저장 시스템의 기본이 되는 효과적인 모델을 제시한다. 관계 데이터베이스와 객체지향 데이터베이스의 장단점을 수용한 객체관계 데이터베이스를 이용하여 XML 문서 저장 모델을 설계하면 XML 문서의 구조적인 정보를 효과적으로 표현할 수 있도록 모델 설계가 가능하다. XML 문서의 빈번한 수정이 용이하도록 분할저장 방식을 사용하였고, DTD에 관계없이 XML 문서를 저장할 수 있도록 DTD 독립적인 모델을 제시하였다.
Efficacy and safety of eltrombopag in adult refractory immune thrombocytopenia

BackgroundEltrombopag is a thrombopoietin receptor agonist with excellent treatment outcomes inimmune thrombocytopenia (ITP). Here, we analyzed the dose of eltrombopag requiredto achieve and maintain safe platelet counts in Korean ITP patients. MethodsAdult refractory ITP patients (<30,000 platelets/μL) were enrolled. Eltrombopag doseswere increased to achieve a target platelet count (≥50,000 cells/μL). After achieving thetarget platelet count, the dose of concomitant ITP medications and eltrombopag was reducedto identify the lowest effective dose required to maintain the platelet count. ResultsAmong 18 patients, 66.7% achieved complete response, 5.6% achieved platelet countsbetween 50,000 and 100,000 cells/μL, and 27.8% failed to achieve the target plateletcount. The median ITP duration was significantly shorter in patients who achieved thetarget platelet count. The initial dose required to achieve the target platelet count was25 mg/d. The adjusted maintenance doses were 25 mg twice per week or 25 mg/d. Afterdiscontinuation, 83.3% relapsed, and the median relapse-free survival was 15 days. Tworelapsed and 1 failed patient switched to romiplostim. The response to romiplostim wassimilar to eltrombopag. During eltrombopag treatment, 38.9% showed hepatobiliary laboratoryanomalies. Among 9 follow-up bone marrow examinations, 1 revealed fibrosisafter 1 year of treatment. ConclusionEltrombopag was well tolerated with excellent treatment outcomes in refractory adultITP patients. Low-dose eltrombopag effectively maintained the target platelet count. However, some patients required longer or higher-dose treatment to maintain the targetplatelet count, especially in heavily pretreated or longer ITP cases.

Specific whole cell activity strongly affects sensitivity and detection limit of whole cell-based biosensors. Previously, we developed recombinant Escherichia coli co-expressing periplasmic organophosphorus hydrolase (OPH) and cytosolic chaperone GroEL-GroES (GroEL/ES). In present work, we investigated the effect of culture conditions on whole cell OPH activity. Especially, the whole cell OPH activity was significantly affected by the concentration of tetracycline that is an inducer for chaperone GroEL/ES. When cultured at <TEX>$20^{\circ}C$</TEX> for 31 h in M9 medium containing 1 mM IPTG, 50 ng/mL tetracycline, and <TEX>$500{\mu}M$</TEX> <TEX>$CoCl_2$</TEX>, the recombinant E. coli exhibited a specific whole cell OPH activity (<TEX>$U/OD_{600}$</TEX>) of ~0.55, which is 2.6-fold higher than that of recombinant E. coli cultured as previously described conditions. In addition, recombinant cells showed adequate storage stability for 1 week with 100% of original response. Finally, the improved activity and adequate stability in the whole cell biocatalyst will contribute to sensitivity, detection time, and stability of a whole cell-based biosensor for the detection of toxic organophosphates.
Effects of Production of Ever-bearing Strawberries Using Cool Air from Mushroom Cultivation House

버섯재배사에서 방출되는 CO₂를 함유한 15oC-20℃의 공기를 딸기재배 하우스에 자동적으로 포집하고 전달하는 자동제어 시스템을 개발하였다. 2017년 6월부터 다양한 위치에서 온도변화를 수집한 결과, 고설베드 딸기하우스의 평균온도는 주간과 야간 온도가 각각 33℃ 와26℃인 반면 3단 이동식베드는 26℃ 와 21℃ 수준이 유지되어 있었다. 버섯재배사의 CO₂ 함유 농도는 800-1,600 ppm 수준이었다. 3단 이동식베드에 처리한 딸기의 생육특성중 엽수와 관부직경은 무처리구인 고설베드에 비해 유의성 있는 차이가 있었으며, 고온기 정상과와 기형과의 착과특성 또한 3단이동식베드가 고설베드에 비해 유의성 있게 양호한 상태유지가 되어 과실특성인 과장과 수량이 2배이상 높은 경향을 보였다. 이에, 고온기에 버섯재배사에서 방출되는 시원한 공기 활용으로 딸기의 관부주변과 엽온의 온도가 정상생육 수준으로 유지가 되어 사계성 딸기품종을 국내에서도 재배할 수 있는 가능성을 확인하였다. We designed a system that can automatically collect, convey, and control cool air of 15℃-20℃ containing carbon dioxide from a mushroom cultivation house to a strawberry plastic house. We recorded the temperature at various positions from July to August 2017. The average temperature of the green house during day and at night was maintained at 33℃ and 26℃, respectively. In the moveable three-tier cylindrical bed, the average temperature around root was maintained at 26℃ and 21℃ during day and at night, respectively. On the high-bench in the green house, the temperature was maintained at 32℃ and 30℃ during day and at night, respectively. The carbon dioxide concentration was maintained around 800-1,600 ppm in the mushroom cultivation system and 400-800 ppm in the strawberry plastic house. The growth characteristics of the strawberry treated with moveable three-tier cylindrical bed were significantly different from those of the untreated high-bench bed. In addition, during the summer season, moveable three-tier cylindrical bed showed more tendency to increase in normal fruit number (NFN) and to decrease in defective fruit number (DFN) compare to the high-bench bed. Therefore, the moveable three-tier cylindrical bed showed a tendency to be more than 2 times higher yields than that of the high-bench bed. It was confirmed that everbearing strawberry cultivars could be cultivated in green house due to the cool air supply from the mushroom cultivation system in the summer season.

Backgrounds: CTD regimen has been known as an effective induction therapy in patients with newly diagnosed MM. But, there were inconsistent results for the autologous stem cell yield for transplantation. The aim of present study was to identify the influence of CTD therapy on outcome of peripheral blood stem cell (PBSC) collection. Methods: Forty-eight patients received 4 cycles of CTD therapy. Stem cells were mobilized with cyclophosphamide (3.0 g/m2) and G-CSF (10 g/kg, daily) or G-CSF alone. Patients failing to collect ≤ 4.0×106 CD34+ cells/kg received a second mobilization courses. Results: The median age at diagnosis was 56 years (range, 39-69). Median duration from start of CTD therapy to first collection was 4.6 months (range, 3.3-8.7). Forty-four patients were mobilized with cyclophosphamide following with G-CSF and 4 patients with G-CSF alone. The median day of apheresis was 3 days (range, 2-7). The response rate for CTD regimen at mobilization was 10% (5/48) of CR, 25% (12/48) of VGPR and 63% (30/48) of PR. A median number of harvested CD34+ cells was 8.6×106 cells/kg. At the first mobilization, 83% (40/48) of patients had been reached the minimal PBSC collection target of ≥ 2.0×106 CD34+ cells/kg and 71% (34/48) of patients achieved the collection ≥ 4.0 x 10^6 CD34+ cells/kg. At the end of second mobilization, 90%(43/48) of patients had yields of at least ≥ 2.0×106 CD34+ cells/kg and 77% (37/48) of patients had yields of ≥ 4.0×106 CD34+ cells/kg. During mobilization period, three patients were developed grade 3/4 non-hematologic adverse events. Conclusion: CTD regimen is an effective induction therapy in patients with newly diagnosed MM showing high response rate and acceptable rate of autologuos stem cell yield without any detrimental effect for the following stem cell collection.

<P>The association between hyperglycemia and infections during induction chemotherapy has been reported in a number of hematologic disorders. This retrospective study evaluated the incidence of hyperglycemia during induction therapy in 155 patients with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma (MM) and its effect on serious infections during the first 60 days of induction. A total of 20 (12.9%) patients developed overt hyperglycemia (≥200 mg/dL) during induction therapy. Serious infections occurred in 28 (18.1%) of 155 patients and infection-related mortality within 2 months after treatment was 0.6% (1 patient). In a univariate analysis, overt hyperglycemia, poor performance status (≥2), International Staging System III, lymphopenia (<500/<I><I>μ</I></I>L), and elevated serum creatinine (≥2 mg/dL) were found to be associated with serious infections. In multivariate analysis, only overt hyperglycemia (HR 7.846, 95% CI 2.512–24.503, <I>P</I> < 0.001) and poor performance status (HR 5.801, 95% CI 1.974–17.050, <I>P</I> = 0.001) remained significant. In conclusion, this study demonstrated an association between hyperglycemia and serious infections during induction therapy in patients with MM.</P>
