Magesium twisilicate is mainly uaed as a nonsytemic antacid andabsrbent. Magnesium trisilicate when teeated with anacid sxuh as diluted hydrochloric acid in gastric juice decomposes to form Magnesium chloride and colloidal Silicates. 2MgO·3SiO_2 + 4Hcl - 2MgCl_2 + H_4Si_3O_8 (or 3SiO_2 + 2H_2O) Colloidal mixture The resultng colloidal silicates can protect ahe ulcer frdm further acid and peptic attack and possibly adsorb the pepsin. It is well known that yield of Magnesium trisilcate produced is greatly affected by the Synthesis condition such as the reactant concentration, reaction temperature and moleatio of reactant solutions as well as by the emperature at which the precipitate is dried and the temperature of washing water, etc. The purpose of this study is to investigate the optimum synthesis conditions of Magnesium trisilicate. A randomized complete block design suggested by G.E.P. Bdx and K.B. Wagnesium sulfate solution with Sodium silicate solution in this study. It was found that optimal synthesis conditidns were: Reaction temperature range : 57-90 ℃. Concentration range of reactants (Sodium silicate and Magnesium sulfate) : 19.1-29% molar ratio of the reactants. [Sodium silicate]/[Magnesium sulfate]: 1.47-1.80. temperature range of washing water: 45-48℃ and drying temperature range: 65-82℃ The antacidic activity of five Magnesium trisilicate samples which shows the maximum antacidic efficacy was tested by pharmacopeia acid consuming capacity test. The five Magnesium trisilicate samples were samples were identified by chemical analysis.
사망진단서(사체검안서) 상의 선행사인으로부터 사망통계의 원사인이 선정되는 비율 : 3개 대학병원에서 교부된 사망진단서를 중심으로

Background : To exatnine the problems intolved in writing practice of death certificates, we cotnpated the determination of underlying cause of death for wital statistics using recorded underlying cause of death in issued death statistics. Methods : We collected 688 rnortality certificates issue in year of 2,000 from 3 university hospitals. And we also collected vital statistics from ministry of statistics. The causes of death were coded by experienced medical record wpecialists. And causes of death determined at ministry of statistics for national vita statistics were mapped to causes of death recorded at each death certificates. The rate that underlying causes of death for vital statistics were derived from underlying causes of death recorded at issued death certificaties sere analysed. Results : 64.5% of underlying cause of death for could be derived from underlying cause of death recorded at issued death certificates, 8.6% derived from intermediate cause of death, and 3.9% derived from direct cause of death. In 23% of cases, underlying cause of death could not be derived using issued death certificates. The rate that underlying cause of death for vital statistics could be derived from underlying cause of death recorded at death certificates was different between 3 university hospitals. Ane the rate was also different between death certificates and postmortem certificates. We classified the causes of death using 21 major categories. The rate was different between diseases or conditions tha caused death too. Conclusion : When we examined the correctness of death certificate writing practice using abpve methods, cortectness of writing could not be told as satisfactory. There was difference in correctness of writing between hospotals, between death certificates and postmortem certificates, and between diseases and conditions that caused death. With this results, we suggested some strategy to improve the correctness of death certificate writing practice.
Bromocriptine 과 Cyproheptadine 이 Corticotropin-releasing Factor(CRF) 로 자극된 ACTH 분비에 미치는 효과

Our study was desinged to observe the ACTH response to ovine CRF in healthy men and to observe the effect of bromocriptine or cyproheptine on ACTH and cortisol response induced by ovine CRF in healthy men. We have hypothesis that if hromocriptine or cyproheptatine inhibits the secretion of ACTH induced by ovine CRF, they decrease the secretion of ACTH in the pituitary level. The result were followings: 1) Plasma ACTH reached a peak of 1.5 and 1.6 times the basal level in response to ovine CRF at 10 min, and 30 min, respectively and decreased to the basal level at 90 min. 2) Cyproheptadine or bromocriptine did not inhibit the response of ACTH to ovine CRF. 3) We suggest that cyproheptadine or bromocriptine does not inhibit the ACTH secretion in the normal pituitary gland.

이 논문의 연구목적은 초등학교내에 생태원을 조성함으로써 아이들에게 자연과의 접촉기회를 제공하고자 실시한 바, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 초등학교 교과서에 나타나는 모든 동, 식물의 종류 초등학교의 교과서 분석 경과 274종의 식물종과 227종의 동물종이 나타났으며, 가장 높은 빈도수를 나타낸 곤충은 나비 78회, 잠자리 64회, 개미 51회, 벌 41회, 그리고 매미가 31회의 순으로 나타났다. 이는 교과서별 학년별로 빈도수를 조사한 결과와도 비슷한 양상을 나타낸 것이다. 초등학교 교과서 중 자연과 과목의 교육내용을 살펴본 결과, 1∼2학년 과정에서는 학교내의 뜰과 화단의 4계절 변화를 관찰하고 3∼6학년 과정에서는 생태계 전반에 걸친 세부적인 내용을 공부하도록 교육내용이 설정되었음을 알 수 있었다. 2. 용산구에 있는 15개의 초등학교의 옥외환경 조사 용산구에는 15개 학교가 있고, 그들의 옥외환경의 형태는 교재원과 생산원의 두 가지 종류로 나타났다. 대부분의 학교가 이 두 가지 형태로 나타났으나 남정, 보광, 원효로, 한강 초등학교는 생태원의 시설중 소동물 사육장 시설이 없었고, 교재원의 시설도 빈약하였다. 사례지역인 후암 초등학교는 도시의 중심부에 위치해 있는 다른 초등학교와는 달리 풍부한 생물상을 가지고 있는 남산에 인접하고 있기 때문에 생태원으로서의 기능성이 있는 것으로 보여진다. 3. 사례연구와 생태원 조성계획 생태원의 조성방법으로서 우선, 사례지인 후암 초등학교 부지의 현황조사를 하였고, 두 번째로 4가지 곤충(나비, 잠자리, 벌, 매미)들을 유치하기 위한 식물들을 선별하기 위해 이들이 식이식물로 조사된 식물들 중에서 교과서에 나오고 사례지역에 적합하며 내공해성을 가지며, 자생종이 식물들을 선별한 결과, 나비, 잠자리, 새를 유치하기 위한 식이식물로 각각 44, 17, 16종이 선별되었다. 또한 이 학교의 건물이 도로와 맞닿는 점을 감안하여 건물옥상에 생물서식지를 조성함으로서 남산으로부터의 풍부한 생물종의 유입을 유도하고, 더 나아가 학교 내에 조성되는 생태원으로 자연스럽게 유도하고자 하였다. 따라서 옥상 위의 생물서식공간은 수변공간계획과 식재계획을 통하여 곤충류와 조류뿐만 아니라 다양한 생물종이 서식되도록 하였고, 이를 통해 초등학교 학생들은 자연과의 친밀한 접촉기회를 가지게 될 것이다. The purpose of this study was to offer the opportunity of contact with the nature to urban children by the creation of the biotope in the elementary school ground. The results for this study were as follow: 1. The kinds of animals and plants the elementary school textbooks were 275 species and 227 animals. The frequencies of insect species in the elementary school textbook were the butterfly(75), dragonfly(64), ant(51), bee(41), and cicada(31) in order. These results were analogous to the numbers in each textbook and grade. In the 'Nature' textbook of the elementary school, there were educational contents to observe the ground and garden in 1, 2 grade courses and to study the detail of ecosystem in 3-6 grade course. 2. Inventory of the out-door environments of 15 elementary schools in Young-san Gu, Seoul. The number of total elementary school in Young-san Gu were fifteen, which had two garden types appeared as nature study and experimental farm. Two types of gardens were appeared mostly in all the elementary school but Nam-jung, Bu-kwang, Wonhyo-ro, Sin-swang, and Han-gang elementary school didn't have the experimental farms and also have the poor facilities of the nature study gardens. Huam elementary school had the possibility of the biotope creation because it was connected to Namsan park which posseses the abundant biota in contrast to the others in the center of the city. 3. Case study and biotope planning. To create the biotope, the site analysis was carred out and then plant species for inducing 4 kinds of insect (butterfly, dragonfly, bee, and cicada) were selected under the criteria as pollution-resistant, the school tree and flower, tolerance, and original habitat. Consequently, the numbers of plants for inducing butterflies, dragonflies and birds were 44, 17, 16 species separately. Also, it was planned to the induce abundant biota to building's roof as stepping stone from Namsan. These two biotopes were planned to be a habitat of various biota in addition of the water pond and the planting plan. Through the biotope created by this plan, the students of the elementary school will have more opportunity of contact with the nature.
당뇨병 백서의 간세포에서 Glucokinase 활성도 및 유전자 발현에 대한 인슐린의 영향

목적 당대사의 조절 상태에 따른 생체 변화를 분자 수준에서 이해하고자 식이 조건을 달리한 정상 백서와 화학적으로 유도된 당뇨병 백서의 간조직에서 혈당수준과 인슐린치료 정도에 따라 나타나는 글루코키나제 활성도 및 유전자 발현을 분석하였다. 방법 스트렙토조토신 정맥투여 후 당뇨병의 유발을 확인하고, 인슐린을 1일 3회 3일간 복강내로 투여하여 상태를 안정시킨 후, 인슐린 투여군은 인슐린 투여 6시간이내에 그리고 인슐린 비투여군은 24시간 후 단두하여 채혈하고 복강을 열어 간조직을 채취하였다. 채취한 간조직에서 글루코키나제 활성도는 인산화된 포도당에서 NADH의 형성을 형광분광계로 측정하였으며, 글루코키나제 유전자 mRNA발현은 Northern 분석법을 이용하였다. 성적 정상 백서에서 공복상태와 식이를 섭취한 경우에 간조직의 글루코키나제 효소의 활성은 차이가 없었으나, 글루코키나제 유전자 mRNA 발현은 증가되었다. 당뇨병이 유발된 백서의 간조직에서 글루코키나제 효소의 활성 및 글루코키나제 유전자의 mRNA 발현은 정상 백서에 비하여 낮았다. 인슐린 투쳐 후 글루코키나제 효소의 활성 및 글루코키나제 유전자의 mRNA 발현이 증가되었고, 특히 혈당이 정상화된 경우에서 글루코키나제 유전자의 mRNA 발현이 증가도었다. 결론 인슐린에 의한 간조직에서 글루코키나제 효소의 활성 및 글루코키나제 유전자의 mRNA을 증가를 볼수 있었다. 당뇨병 백서에서 인슐린 투여 후에 혈당조절이 안된 경우 간조직의 글루코키나제 유전자의 mRNA 발현이 증가가 없는 것으로 보아 글루코키나제 mRNA의 발현에는 인슐린 이외의 다른 요소가 관여할 것으로 생각된다. The liver-specific hexokinase isoenzyme, referred to as glucokinase, is thought to play a key reglulatory role in hepatic glucose metabolism. The glucokinase gene is, therefore, of interest both because of its tissue-specific expression and because of the several regulatory processes that can be analyzed. The level of hepatic glucokinase activity appears to be determined essentially by regulation of the rate of enzyme synthesis, with insulin playing a leading role as an inducer. We investigated the role of insulin for the induction of glucokinase in the liver of diabetic rats. Experimental diabetes was induced by injection of streptozotocin 7 days before the experiment. Regular insulin was given by three days intraperitoneal injection at 8-h interval. The glucokinase mRNA in the liver was estimated by Nothern blot assay, as well as by fluorometric enzyme activity assay. Glucokinase activity was not reduced in the liver of normal fasting rats as compared to normal fed rats. And glucokinase activity was reduced in the liver of diabetic rats as compared to normal rats. In diabetic rats treated with insulin, glucokinase enzyme activity were increased. But glucokinase mRNA expression was only increased in normoglycemic diabetic rat with treated with insulin as compared to hyperglycemic rat. These data indicate that insulin stimulates hepatic glucokinase enzyme activity and mRNA expression. But other hormonal or metabolic factors may be contribute to regulation of glucokinase mRNA expression.
한국인 두경부암종 환자에서 Cytochrome P450 1A1,2E1 및 N-acetyltransferase 2 효소의 다형성 분석에 따른 유전적 감수성에 대한 연구

Individual genetic susceptibilities to cancers may result from several factors including differences in xeno-biotics metabolism to chemical carcinogens, DNA repair, altered oncogenes and suppressor genes, and environmental carcinogen exposures. Among them, genetic polymorphisms of metabolizing enzymes to chemical carcinogens have been recognized as a major important host factors in human cancers. They have two main types of enzymes: the· phase I cytochrome P-450 mediating enzymes (CYPs) and phase Ⅱ conjugating enzymes. The purpose of this study is to determine the frequencies of genotypes of phase I (CYP1A1 and CYP2E1) and phase Ⅱ (NAT2) metabolizing enzymes in healthy control and head and neck cancer patients of Korean and to identify the relative high risk genotypes of these metabolizing enzymes to head and neck cancer in Korean. The author has analyzed 132 head and neck cancer patients and 113 healthy controls using polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) . The results were as following; 1.The frequencies of genotypes of CYP1A1, CYP2El and NAT2 in healthy control were as following; CYP1A1 exon 7 polymorphism; Ile / Ile: Ile/Val: Va1/Va1 = 59.3%: 36.3%: 4.4% CYP2El Pst I polymorphism, C1/Cl: C1/C2: C2/C2 = 61.1%: 32.1%: 6.2% NAT2 polymorphism; F/F: F/S: S/S = 43.4%: 48.7%: 8.0% 2.In analysis of phase I enzyme, Val/Val genotype in CYP1A1 exon 7 polymorphism and C2/C2 genotype in CYP2El Pst I polymorphism were associated with relative high risks to head and neck cancers (Odds' ratio: 2.09 and 1.37, respectively). 3.Among the genotypes of NAT2 enzyme polymorphism, S/S genotype of NAT2 enzyme had 1.03 times of relative risk to head and neck cancers. 4.In combined genotyping of CYP1A1, CYP2El, and NAT2 enzymes polymorphisms, the patients with Va1/Va1 and Cl/Cl, C2/C2 and fast acetylator, and Va1/Va1 and fast acetylator had higher relative risks than the patients with each baseline of combined genotypes (Odds' ratio: 2.82, 1.98 and 2.1, respectively) . These results suggest the combined genotypes of Va1/Va1 and Cl/Cl , C2/C2 and fast acetylator, and Val/Val and fast acetylator were more susceptible to head and neck cancers in Korean. And genotyping of metabolizing enzymes could be useful for predicting individual susceptibility to head and neck cancer.

오늘날 무역거래에 있어서 해상운송이 고속화되었음에도 불구하고 선하증권과 같은 선적서류의 송달과 서류처리 속도는 그 발전이 미비하였기에 물품이 서류보다 먼저 매수인에게 도착하는 경우가 빈번히 발생하게 되었다. 그리고 운송품의 인도를 위해 무용한 시간이 낭비되고 있고 서류의 작성·반송, 보존과 함께 서류의 점검, 수정 및 재발행에 관한 비효율성 등의 다양한 문제가 제기되었다. 이러한 문제를 해결하고자 근래들어서는 인터넷을 통한 전자무역서류를 교환할 수 있도록 하고 있으며, 또한 현행의 전통적인 선하증권의 기능을 전자식 선하증권으로 대체하고자 하는 국내외적인 여러 프로젝트가 실험단계를 거쳐 상용화 단계에 이르렀다. 이 방식은 종전의 선하증권의 도착지연의 회피, 위조의 방지, 문서전달 시간의 단축과 문서관리 비용의 삭감 등의 효과를 남고 있지만, 아직 국제적인 실용화 단계는 이르지 못하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 선하증권 전자화에 대한 국제적인 주요 시도와 실태를 파악하고, 이들의 문제점들을 검토한 후 국제적으로 전자식 선하증권의 이용 확대를 위한 몇 가지 방안을 제안함으로써 전자무역의 활성화에 적극 기여하고자 하였다. Merchants are increasingly using computers to facilitate international transactions. The movement of commercial information via Internet or EDI network has become a critical part of the global trading infrastructure. Recently, cargo arrives at destination ahead of the B/L on the ground of the high speed of ship and the importer cannot take delivery of the cargo without the B/L. This problem is referred to as the B/L crisis. A bill of lading has an important function as a document of title to the goods shipped. This function of paper bills of lading is not easily incorporated in electronically generated documents. However, recently several significant steps have been taken to resolve and promote the use of electronic transaction. This paper is composed of 6 chapters. Chapter I introduces the purpose of the research. Chapters II reviews a background of electronic bill of lading. Chapter III discusses several trial of electronic bill of lading. Chapter IV discusses the problems for activating the use electronic bill of lading. Chapter V tackles proper measures to solve the problems in using electronic bill of lading. Chapter VI, as the conclusion, suggests several proposals for proper use of the electronic bill of lading in international trade.
여성 요도증후군에서 Terazocin의 효과에 대한 연구

연구목적: 여성 요도증후군을 보이는 환자에서 교감신경차단제인 terazocin을 복용한 후 치료 효과에 대한 각 증상의 변화와 부작용을 알아보고자 하였다. 대상 및 방법: 1997년부터 1999년까지 충북대학교병원 비뇨기과에 내원한 35명의 여성 중 요검사 및 요배양 검사, 그리고 다른 이학적 검사에서 이상이 없는 요도증후군 환자를 대상으로 간질성방광염 증상점수(ICSS)를 terazocin (3mg/day for 3 months) 투여 전후에 조사하였고, 치료 후 3개월과 1년에 Likert scale 점수를 조사하였다. 결과: ICSS는 비치료군은 18.3±5.9점, 치료군은 16.5±6.8점으로 두군간의 차이는 없는 것으로 나타났다(p=0.52). 치료군은 치료 후 3개월에 시행한 ICSS가 9.9±7.8점으로 치료 전에 비해 현격히 증상이 호전되는 것으로 나타났다(p=0.0001). 특히 3개월에 시행한 Likert scale에서는 주간 및 야간빈뇨, 절박뇨, 배뇨통의 횟수 및 강도, 그리고 전체적인 증상정도에서 40-70% 가량 호전된 것으로 밝혀졌으며 이는 1년 후에도 증상의 호전이 지속되는 것으로 나타났다. 비치료군에서의 1년 후 Likert scale은 6명 중 2명이 전체적인 증상의 호전이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 결론: Terazocin은 환자의 약 70%가량에서 증상의 호전을 가져왔고, 비치료군에서도 환자의 33%가 저절로 증상이 좋아진 것으로 보아 Terazocin은 여성 요도증후군에서 분명히 효과가 있으나 증상이 심할 경우 보조적인 치료로 이용되는 것이 바람직할 것으로 사료된다. Purpose: We performed to assess the effects and complications of terazocin in women with chronic female urethral syndrome. Materials and Methods : Thirty-five women with chronic female urethral syndrome were studied from March 1997 to August 1999. The subjects exhibited normal findings without the pyuria and bacteriuria in urinalysis and urine culture and were invested the interstitial symptom score(ICSS). 29 subjects of them took a terazocin 1-4 mg/day for 3 months. They were reevaluated for the ICSS and Likert scale after 3 months and for Likert scale after 1 year. Results: The ICSS before treatment were showed 18.3±5.9 in the untreated patient group and 16.5±6.8 in the treated patient group, and no statistically difference between both patient groups(p=0.52). In the treated patient group, the ICSS after treatment were showed 9.9±7.8, significant difference between before and after treatment(p=0.0001). The Likert scale was showed at 3 months after treatment that frequency, nocturia, urgency, pain frequency, pain intensity, daily activities, and overall symptoms were improved in 65.5%, 55.2%, 24.1%, 41.4%, 41.4%, 70%, 70%, and 70% of 29 subjects, each other. Overall symptom score assessed at 1 year were showed that 3 subjects was aggravated. In untreated patient group, 2 of 6 was improved in overall symptom score. Conclusion: Terazocin was effective above 70% in the treated group, and symptoms were improved spontaneously in a third of the untreated group. So, we thought that terazocin would be useful as supportive treatment in period of severe symptoms.

The effect of soybean addition to the preparation of Jeung-Pyun(Korean fermented rice cake) and the fermentational characteristics of Jeung-Pyun dough were determined. Jeung-Pyun dough composed of rice 100g, soybean 20g, water 40g, salt 0.8g, sugar 15g and Tak-ju 30g was fermented for up to 20 hours. The numbers of total microbes, yeasts and lactic acid bacteria in the dough during fermentation increased rapidly during 5 hours of fermentation, but Leuconostoc mesenteroides during 7 hours of fermentation. Generally, there were many more microbes in the Jeung-Pyun dough with soybeans than in the Jeung-Pyun dough with rice. The volume of 7 hour fermented Jeung-Pyun was most massive especially in the soybean-added Jeung-Pyun. In 1% dextran-added rice Jeung-Pyun, the volume of steamed cake was increased more than that of rice Jeung-Pyun, but it was not as bulky as in the soybean-added cake. In the sensory evaluation of the test cake products, the 7 hour fermented cake was preferred by most. As for instrumental characteristics, the 7 hour fermented Jeung-Pyun showed the lowest values for hardness and elasticity, brittleness and chewiness. The rice Jeung-Pyun showed higher values for hardness and brittleness than in soybean-added Jeung-Pyun. When the Jeung-Pyuns were stored at 20℃, the hardness, brittleness and cohesiveness of rice Jeung-Pyun were respectively increased but not in the soybean-added Jeung-Pyun. However, the hardness of rice Jeung-Pyun kept at 4℃ increased rapidly after 5 days of storage. The cohesiveness, elasticity, brittleness, chewiness, gumminess of both rice Jeung-Pyun and soybean-added Jeung-Pyun were decreased with storage time.

In this paper, a hardware architecture of digital image compression' CODEC using ZD-DWT(Discrete Wavelet Transform) is designed. It used the Daubechies' (9,7) bi-orthogonal filter and included a 2D-DWT transformer, a quantizer. This paper proposes that final output has error rate within ±ILSB. Quantizer uses scalar quantization methods.
