In this study, partially substituted U-type ferrite (Ba4MexCo2-xFe36O60, Me: Mn, Ni, Zn, x=0.5 and 1.0) powders weresynthesized by sol–gel method. The powders were analyzed for phase formation, morphology and magnetic properties byXRD, FE-SEM and VSM respectively. The synthesized ferrite powders were pressed into a series of toroidal shaped samples,in which the weight ratio of parafn to powder was 1:5. The complex scattering parameters were measured by using vectornetwork analyzer in the frequency range of 2–18 GHz and were employed in the calculation of refection loss with variousthicknesses. The minimum refection loss was observed in the substituted nickel sample as−24.4 dB (absorption rate 99.6%)with a thickness of 2.5 mm and the bandwidth was achieved 4.8 GHz (from 7.5 to 12.3 GHz) for refection loss≤ −10 dBin the substituted zinc sample.
가시광을 이용한 ZnS/ZnO 상에서의 광촉매 반응에 의한 물로부터의 수소생성

The pure ZnS can not absorb visible light because of its large band gap of 3.6eV. The ZnO/ZnS was obtained from partial oxidation of ZnS, and its band gap was 2.5eV where visible light can be absorbed. From XRD analysis, it was confirmed that only ZnO was formed during oxidation process but not ZnSO₄. In case of ZnO/ZnS, the quantum efficiency for the hydrogen evolution from water was 0.87% under visible light irradiation. In order to improve the interaction between ZnO and ZnS, ZnS/ZnO was prepared by precipitating ZnS on ZnO. After calcination of ZnS/ZnO, the band gap became narrow. The pure ZnO and the physically mixed ZnS-ZnO could not absorb visible light, but the ZnS-doped ZnO (ZnS/ZnO) could do. The band gap of pure ZnO was 3.2 eV and that of ZnS/ZnO was 2.5ev. The best activity was obtained when clcination temperature and time were 500 ℃ and 1 h, respectively. The quantum efficiency of ZnS/ZnO for the reaction was 3.29%.

In recent years, however, increased pressure has been put on the government to protect consumers against the side effects of less than total competition. Over the decades, antitrust legislation has broadened its area of concern to make protection of the consumer a prime goal. That development is but one sign of a general movement by the American government toward consumerism. A grenerous crop of legislation was enacted to protect consumers from drug abuse, unsafe cars and toys, hazardous cigarettes, and unwholesome poultry, among other things. The Federal Trade Commission, the Food and Drug Administration, the Consumer Products Safety Commission, and other agencies actively sought to enforce these regulations. Changing marketing patterns have been influential in cases tried under consumer protection legislation. For example, the courts have held that since today's consumer has less opportunity to inspect and test merchandise before buying than consumers had in earlier times, the manufacturer must accept increased liability for product performance. Penalties set by courts for product related accidents and the high cost of liability insurance have convinced many manufacturers to make products much safer than they have been and to put clear, highly visible warnings on them.
제주도 서귀포시지역의 용도지역별 하수발생량 특성에 관한 연구

To identify the characteristics of wastewater flow generated in treatment basins of Seogwipo-city, we selected 3 stations representing the basin and performed 7 times of field survey including 5 times in dry periods and 2 times in wet periods from Feb. 25 to May 27, 2002 for the selected stations. From the analysis of flow data measured for more than 60 days in the interval of 5 minutes and concentration data obtained from laboratory analysis, we can draw several conclusions. First, in the analysis of diurnal variation of wastewater flow for land-use types, we could find the following results: in the residential area, it is observed that wastewater flow rates rise early in the morning for the office-going hour and fall gradually and rise again after the office-leaving hour, showing typical residential wastewater flow pattern, while for the residential and commercial area flow rates rise early in the morning at the office-going hour and move up and down repeatedly within wide range and last till the office-leaving hour, which can be resulted from wastewater that is generated by tourists activated after early in the afternoon, while for the touristy area flow rates rise early in the morning and fall gradually and rise again within wide range. Second, in the analysis of temporal variation of wastewater flow for monthly, it can be observed that in the residential area, in the residential and commercial areas the flow rate of May is higher than that of Feb., March, while for the touristy area flow rate is without monthly because it reflects the movement of population, Third, in wet periods concentration of water-quality item such as SS, BOD, and COD_(cr) is high in the beginning of rainfall by first flush, and falls down gradually to reach the steady state, which is the level of wastewater in dry periods after the cease of storm water due to diluting effect resulting from additional runoff water through storm sewers.

The fact that with appropriate selection of the Ritz shapes, only a few of them can be used to represent adequately the response of the original system can be utilized very effectively in the forced response analysis of multi-degree-of-freedom systems. Obviously, a desirable set of Ritz vectors will be one that can adequately represent the spatial distribution of load by the superposition of a minimum number of shapes. It has been demonstrated that dynamic analysis based on Ritz vectors, which are generated by taking into account the spatial distribution of the load yield results which are more accurate than the use of the same number of exact mode shapes. However, because the dynamic response is influenced strongly by the exciting frequency, the exciting frequency in the use of Ritz analysis method is of considerable importance. In this paper, the influence of exciting frequency on Ritz analysis method is compared with mode superposition method with respect to displacement errors and base shear errors.

The gastrointestinal involvement in rheumatoid arthritis may be broad and includes many causes: drug induced colitis, colitis associated with infectious agents, vasculitis in gut, autoimmune disease located in gut. Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic multisystemic disease of unknown cause. Although a number of mixed autoimmue disease exist, there were rare reports about Ulcerative colitis with Rheumatoid arthritis associated. We report one case of Rheumatoid arthritis patient who diagnosed as Ucerative colitis by colonoscopic and histologic finding with review of literature.

Subharmonic vibration of order 1/2 of a simply supported uniform beam subjected to initial tention is studied for a concentrated lateral harmonic excitation force. Theoretical analysis is carried out by assumming the deflection as a superposition of linear eigenfunctions. Harmonic balance method is used for the steady state solution. The steady state solutions are obtained by using Newton-Raphson method. Experiments are carried out and show good agreement with the theoretical results.
