        The purpose of this study is to examine the relation between Height and endurance. The object of this study is the Junior and senior high students, who are 1272 boys and as many girls and whose ages are from 12 to 17. Through 1,000M Running of the boys and 800M Running of the girls, the writer drew the development curve so as to analysis how much the endurance would develop according to the height and examined the correlation between them. The writer expects that this study will give basic data to the physical teachers in teaching the students.

      • 수용성 Vitamin이 운동에 미치는 영향

        The purposes of this study were to investigate the relation between the function of the water soluble vitamin and the sport. The required quantity for the water soluble vitamin like vitamin B₁ and vitamin C was increased by the sport, and 손 increase of the required quantity for the vitamin like vitamin B₂, niacin, pantothenic acid, and biotin is estimated through the rise of the energy replacement, but now the relation between the function of some water soluble vitamin and the sport is not clear. Vitamin B_(6) and hydrochronic acid have a deep relation with the replacement of amino acid, and the increase of the required quantity for those vitamin and the protein intake is estimated. But more systematic study on the relation between the required quantity for the vitamin and the sport will be necessary. The vitamin deficiency will decrease the sportsmen's condition and their atheletic ability, and the sportsmen must take enough vitamin at each meal not to be deficient in vitamin. Not to be deficient in vitamin it is very important for the sportsmen to have a balanced diet at each meal. Too much vitamin intake will elevate the sportsmen's performance, but it can cause another vitamin deficiency. Because the evil influence of too much vitamin intake is not studied, the sportsmen who take vitamin drug habitually will have to consider their daily vitamin intake closely.

      • 기분장애를 주소로 내원한 Binswanger씨 병 1례

        We report a 70 year-old man with Binswanger's disease associated with mood symptoms. He was apparently well until 15 years ago when the treatment-resistant atypical mood symptoms had been appeared. He showed a fluctuating course in mental disturbance, such as irritable and labile affect, emotional incontinence, and irritable behavior. Two years ago, he was diagnose as hypertension, renal failure, and heart failure. He was admitted to psychiatric ward due to irritable mood, dysarthria, lack of bladder control, gait disturbance, and impulsive behaviors, which had been aggravated during the last 2 months. In physical examination, he had hypertension and both pretibial pitting edema was revealed, and also in neurological examination, exaggeration of deep tendon reflexes and weakness of extremities were found. On mental status examination, he showed irritable and labile mood with mild cognitive disturbances. Brain MRI demonstrated multifocal high signal intensity in periventricular white matter, both basal ganglia, and thalami on the T2 imaging. These findings were compatible with Binswanger's disease with mood symptoms.

      • THIAMIN의 대사적 기능에 관한 고찰

        The effects of thiamin intake have not been clearly investigated, however, RDA has reported that, for most of healthy men and women, as much as one or twice amount of thiamin intake would be proper for aerobic exercises. Although other researches also reported that continuation of streneous physical activities lead a significant increase of thiamin intake, .we still wait more experimental result for that problem. Physical exertion needs an increase of thiamin intake when carbohydrates are the major source of energy expenditure and there is an additional demand for TDP-dependent catabolism of BCCA. An experiement with human sample is needed within the limitation of standarized thiamin intake and intake of vitamin-free high-carbohydrate three to four hours before particular physical activity. This double blind control experiment should be designed to deter mine most desirable amount of thiamin intake to minimize fatigue which will cause by continued vigorous physical activities. The use of sensitive measurements of ETKA and /or HPLC-determined TDP in erythrocytes provides and opportunity to demonstrate thiamin demands during the peak of streneous physical activity. More experiments are needed to find how the right amount of protein intake would affect the need of thiamin intake during physical exertion.

      • 손잡이 형태에 따른 체력에 관한 연구

        The purposes of this study were to investigate the factors of the physical strength between right handers and left handers, to help find the excellent players and train them early according to the difference of the physical strength in connection with the handedness, and to help their body develop symmetrically by minimizing the partiality for the handedness when we train the students. To accomplish these purposes, I questionaired some male highschool students in H-kun, Chungnam province, and found their handedness. I selected 70 right handers and 55 left handers as an object of this study, and investigated physical strength factors in connection with the handedness. The results were as follows : 1. In the test of standing on one foot with their eyes opened to the effective side of right handers and left handers, the left foot of left handers was superior to the right foot of right handers, and in the physical strength of the ineffective side the left handers were superior to the right handers. In the test of standing on one foot with their eyes closed, the ineffective side of right handers was superior to that of left handers. 2. In the difference of physical strength factors in connection with the handedness between right side and left side, the difference between right side and left side of right handers was more than that of left handers except in stepping.

        One of the great problems which modern business is how to adapt itself to environments which are changing movingly and how to continue to exist for a long time. When business becomes worse in the pathological process, repeats is vicious circle, and its destructive state occurs, there is no mechanism to return business automatic ally to a balanced state in theory of economics and management which, up to now, have partically been developed. W. Alderson sets a definite form on the relationship between the business and the external environments, and H.A.Simon laid emphasis on the projective mechanism in the inner business. As we can unify theory of both, we can develop the theoretical system in the strategical marketing, which has been disregarded unstil now. Therefore, the important task of this report, to begin with in order to analize systematically the basic characteristics and the strategical marketing planning, is to prove whether this is effective as an important framework. In this meaning, I would like to put emphasis on the following points and tried to develop my report. 1. Manesting strategical side in marketing planning. 2. Regulating obviousely the concept of strategical decision making use of the theory of adaptive decision marking. 3. Applicating the adaptive decision, mainly developed in the fields of psychology and systematic organization for marketing planning. 4. Application the theory of systematic method for the framing of complicated marketing planning model. 5. Establishing basic frame for designing a certain total system through the subsystem in marketing planning. In order that business, in the task of market planning, which is changing movingly, may positively adapt itself to environments, top manegement has to develop mechanism of decision marking, aimed at a high target, and I think decision in marketing planning is improvable and methodological science, which has not fot fully been developed. So I am going to try to prove the adaptive decision, developed by the people of Carnegie, with Simon as its central figure, whether I can solve it systematically, Adapting strategical marketing planning. But till now the point of importance in decision markingin marketing has been laid on the physical and direction alone. But in order to strengthen the environments in business, we must have a theory, aimed at human being. Adjusting a scientific method called Computer Simulation, we are able to solve the complicated marketing problems.

      • 미주신경자극술(Vagus Nerve Stimulation)의 신경정신과적 응용

        연구목적: 최근 신경생물학과 두뇌 조영술 발달에 따라 두뇌에 비침습적 자극을 줌으로써 신경회로를 변화시킬수 있는 새로운 신경정신과적 치료방법의 개발이 태동하고 있다. 그 중 두뇌와 다양한 연결을 구축하고 있는 제 10번 두개신경인 미주신경을 직접 자극할 수 있는 미주신경자극술(Vagus Nerve Stimulation:이하푼)이 개발되어 간질 및 일부 신경정신과적 질환에서 시술되고 있다. 본 논문의 목적은 VNS의 발달과정, 시술방법, 신경정신과적 응용, 및 부작용 등에 대하여 개괄하고 그 현황과 미래를 고찰하는데에 있다. 방 법 : 광범위한 문헌 검색과 현재 VNS를 시술하고 있는 기관의 세계적 전문가와의 논의를 통하여 조사 및 정리하였다. 결 과 : 현재 VNS는 치료 저항성 간질의 치료 방법의 하나로 공인되어 있으며 일부 신경정신과적 질환에서 치료적으로 사용될수 있는 가능성이 제시되고 있다. 결 론 : 두뇌를 자극할 수 있는 새로운 방법인 VNS는 우울증을 비롯한 일부 신경정신과적 질환에서 유의한 치료효과를 거둘 가능성이 있으며, 두뇌-행동 관계를 이해하는데에 매우 흥미있는 방법으로 향후 많은 관심을 끌게 된 것이다. Objectives : Several novel and minimally invasive techniques to stimulate the brain have recently developed. Among these newer somatic interventions, vagus nerve stimulation(VNS) is regarded as a promising tool in the treatment of various neuropsychiatric disorders. This article reviews the history, methodology, and the future of VNS technique and its emerging research and therapeutic applications in the field on neuropsychiatry. Methods : Wide ranged literature reviews and discussion with pioneering researchers were performed. Results : VNS has been used in the treatment of refractory seizure disorder and depression. There are some reasons to hope that VNS might have other therapeutic applications in neuro-psychiatric disorders, as well as advanced understanding about the pathophysiology of these disorders. Conclusion : Regardless of its clinical role as a new therapeutic technique, the capacity of VNS as a research tool to alter brain activity should lead to important advances in the understanding of brain-behavior relationships.

        임신마우스에서 수용성카이토산에 의한 태아의 방사성스트론튬 오염 억제

        핵분열생성물중의 하나인 방사성스트론튬은 임신한 쥐에서 태반을 빠르게 통과하여 태아를 오염시킨다. 독성이 적은 천연착화제로서 마우스체내의 방사성스트론튬(Sr-85)의 제거에 효과적인 것으로 알려진 카이토산을 이용하여 Sr-85의 태반오염억제에 관한 연구를 하였다. 실험군은 일반식이를 공급한 대조군과 임신 17일째에 수용성카이토산을 피하(1% 카이토산), 구강(10% 카이토산), 복강(0.3% 카이토산)으로 주사한 카이토산군으로 분류하였다. 피하주사군은 Sr-85 오염후 카이토산을 주사한 군이며 복강과 구강주사군은 Sr-85 오염젼 15일간 카이토산을 공급한 군이었다. 출산과 동시에 어린마우스의 전신을 측정한 겨러과 출생후 7일째에 대조군이 2.8 ±0.3%의 전신축적율을 나타낸 반면 피하, 구강, 복강, 주사군은 각각 1.2 ±0.1%, 1.4 ±0.1%, 1.6 ±0.2%로 나타났다. 결과적으로 임신한 마우스에서 수용성카이토산은 방사성스트론튬의 태반오염을 유의하게 억제하는 것으로 사료된다. Radiostrontium passes the placental barrier in pregnant rodents very well. Chitosan, a natural nontoxic chelator, was reported to reduce whole body retention of radiostrontium in mice. The aim of the present study was to evaluate water soluble chitosan as a blocking agent of transplacental transfer of radiostrontium in pregnant mice. Twenty pregnant mice wre divided into four groups : control and three groups of chitosan treatment(groups 1 to 3). Sr-85(15KBq in 0.2ml saline) was subcutaneously injected into pregnant mice at the 17th day of pregnancy. In control mice, 0.2ml saline was given 5 hours after the injection of Sr-85. In group 1.1% water soluble chitosan was given subcutanously for two days, twice daily after the injection of Sr-85. In group 2, 10% water soluble chitosan was given orally for 15 days before conception. In group 3, 0.3% water soluble chitosan was injected intravenously for 15 days, once daily before conception. Gamma counting of newborns were done at days 0, 2 and 7 after their births. Whole body retention of Sr-85 in newborns of control mice at days 0, 2, 7 were 3.1 ±0.3%, 2.9 ±0.3%, 2.8 ±0.3% respectively. In experimental groups, whole body retention of Sr-85 was significantly lower thanthat of control(p<0.01) and no statistical difference was noted between them. In group 1, the values were 2.1 ±0.3%, 1.4 ±0.1%, 1.4 ±0.1%, respectively. In group 3, they were 2.1 ± 0.2%, 1.7 ± 0.2%, 1.6 ± 0.2%, respectively. In conclusion, the water soluble chitosan reduced transplacental contamination of radiostrontium in pregnant mice.

      • 능동전력필터 기능을 갖는 병렬형 무정전 전원 시스템의 해석 및 설계

        Conventional UPS(Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems offer load voltage continuity and are standing by power outage when the utility power is maintained normal. It has a low efficiency because it operate at power failure. Harmonic currents induced by switching supplies badly distort the output waveform of power sources. Utility power quality has become an important issue recently. So various APF(Active Power Filter) has been proposed to suppress harmonics caused by nonlinear load. This paper presents a new concept of UPS system that provides the combined functions of APF. An off-line UPS similar to voltage type APF that proposed in this paper. The operation of the new off-line UPS system used not only eliminate the harmful harmonics caused by nonlinear load but also offer load voltage continuity. A half-bridge inverter is utilzed to deliver clean power to the loads during power outage or to suppress the harmonics from the line current in normal. It is efficient and economical because the one inverter use for combined function. We use 8051 single chip microprocessor for software synchronization, generation of reference voltage waveform and SSR(Solid State Relay)control. Its transient performance is good at the moment of the change of operation mode.

      • 葉成分과 土壤의 理化學的性質이 林木生長에 미치는 영향

        This study was carried out to analyze physical and chemical properties of soil and leaf analysis to estimating amount of tree growth in Chamaecyparis pisifera, Jinhae city, Gyeongnam province. The results were summarize as follows; As the results from analysis of relation of physical-chemical properties of soil and leaf component, the relationship p component inside soil and n component inside leaf showed positive correlation with determination coefficients(R^2=0.9986), and also relation of nitrogen component inside soil and component of Na_2O inside leaf showed positive correlation with determination coefficients(R^2=0.9987), but the relation of component Ca^2+ inside soil and component of Na_2O inside leaf showed negative correlation with determination coefficients(R^2=-0.9984), and also relation of p component inside soil and Fe component inside leaf showed negative correlation with determination coefficients(R^2=-0.7215). The results from analysis of relation of leaf component and tree growth, showed correlation of determination coefficient(R^2=0.4256) in height growth, determination coefficient (R^2=0.6248) in DBH growth, determination coefficient(R^2=0.6248,) in volume growth, respectively. In each tree growth of recent five years, N and P components showed positive correlation of determination coefficient(R^2=0.6170, 0.5780, respectively) in height growth, and also N and Na^+ components showed positive correlation of determination coefficient(R^2=0.6016, R^2=0.8727, respectively) in DBH growth, but K= component showed negative correlation in DBH growth As the results from analysis of stepwise regression to estimating amount of DBH growth, sequence of inputted variables entered in order of N, Na+, Mg++, ,and estimated equation was Y=44.791N-56.640Mg+0.6867Na-26.47, determination coefficients of 69%.
