최근 대용량 네트워크 기술과 멀티미디어 처리기술의 발달로 사용자가 활용하고자 하는 멀티미디어 자료 양이 점차 증가함에 따라 이들의 효율적인 저장과 재사용이 중요한 문제로 대두되고 있다. 특히 다가올 21세기의 모든 정보 통신망 사이에 주고 받는 정보는 멀티미디어 요소가 포함될 것이며, 이에 따른 검색, 접근, 갱신이 이루어져야 한다. 이를 효과적으로 처리하기 위해서는 멀티미디어 자료가 데이터베이스에 의해 체계적으로 관리되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 멀티미디어 데이터베이스의 개념을 알아보고, 멀티미디어 자료의 질의 처리 기술과 검색을 위한 색인기법, 트랜잭션 처리기술에 대하여 설명하고 마지막으로 향후 연구방향에 대하여 논한다.

This study is about the development of a system related to the CATV network. It intends to develop an automatically centralized Headend system and a distributive system to remove the ineffectiveness of the established manual system. To achieve this goal, we took a part of bandwidth, which is not used for the transmission of video signals in the established frequency bandwidth, and used it for the transmission and receiver of controlling signals. By this way we could design a system of transmission and receiver and a automatic distributive system. We developed an information management system for the 9600bps CATV using RS-232 of forward/backward communication and backward communication.

In this paper, we proposed flash memory design method for image and voice recoder based on the standard imageㆍvoice cosec algorithm.For implementation of this method we designed imageㆍvoice browser which is application system of flash memory and card using GDS30C6001 USB controller.To process image and voice data we designed root directory of image and voice files repectively.To extend application of image and voice data we added various information to the system.

In this paper, we discussed the region-based image retrieval using image segmentation.A image segmentation method uses region-merging, and we proposed the segmentation method which can reduce the effect of irregular light sources.A candidate regions which is merged is selected by energy values of high frequency bands in discrete wavelet transform A content-based image retrieval is processed using segmented region information, and the images are retrieved by color, texture, shape feature vector.A similarity measures are processed using Euclidean distance between regions, and we illustrated that the proposed method is reasonable by simulation.
내용기반 이미지 검색시스템을 위한 사용자 인터페이스의 설계

Normally, traditional database system provided text based user interface for query. That is, users just could give keyword or cheese keyword from keyword list. However, content based image retrival system should support more than that. It should support visualized query expression and query refinement. Also, users should be able to browse search results and to select what they want users can make visualized query experssion by sketching or using sample images or features such as color and texture. In this paper, we first analysis user interface of existing image retrival systems, and design user interface and search engine for content base image retrival system.

본 논문은 인터넷 디스크를 기반으로 한 하이브리드 웹 솔루션에 관한 것으로. 기존의 인터넷 디스크를 기반으로 한 웹 솔루션의 한계성을 극복하였다. 즉 사용자 단말기의 한계성을 극복하여 PC를 비롯한 모바일 장치가 공유의 메모리를 엑세스 가능하도록 설계되었으며 하이브리드 형식의 혼합형 컨텐츠 서비스가 가능하고, 실시간 서비스가 가능하다. 또한 본 시스템의 경우 기존의 단일 서비스에서 벗어나 복합서비스를 제공할 수 있는 메커니즘을 구축하였다. 이를 통해 웹하드와 메일서비스, 블로그서비스과 같은 하이브리드 서비스를 제공할 수 있도록 인터넷 디스크 및 파일시스템을 설계, 구현하였다. The preference of mobile device using wireless network has recently increased due to a wider spread of smart phone using wireless LAN (Local Area Network). Under these circumstances that wireless network is frequently used, the value of mobile device has also increased for its mobility and conveniency. On the other hand, because of a limit to the storage capacity of the mobile device, it has limited capacity in its applications as well as toward such large volume data as moving pictures. For this reason, there has been a lot of research to expand the storage capacity of mobile device. However, the storage card devices that can be attached to mobile device are still highly expensive. In addition, the technology has been suggested that the internet disk, which is the large volume storage in the desk-top system, can be used for mobile device. But this technology does not go beyond that of up-loading and down-loading. These established technologies do not resolve the problem of short storage capacity, but simply make it possible to share data. In other words, it goes further beyond up-loading and down-loading; it recognizes a remote storage as a storage card and eventually resolves the storage problem. Also, it works in a way that one storage system is applied to many different devices, which makes it possible to share data and thereby keep the coherence.
소스라우팅 기반 토폴로지 데이터베이스를 이용한 경로선택 및 복구

In this paper, we studied the method of path distribution in order to increase reliability of the network by reducing path congestion, solving the problems of increasing blocking statistics, and increasing the utilization of network resource. A scheme of efficient path calculation which can reduce the traffic congestion in an arbitrary link is proposed by path calculation equations considering link occupation rates. A rapid method of establishing a connection which can efficiently cope with accidental connection failure are studied.

This paper treats the Self-Organizing Network algorithm for the edge enhancement of fingerprint image. To represent quantitatively changes in status value on the neuron-unit images, it defines the contrast link of the first and second orders through 3×3 window and 5×5 window. In neural network algorithm, the neuron as the subject of treatment undergoes update processes, and edge enhancement is achieved in the end. This algorithm is characteristic that the most conspicuous part of edge in the state of initial neurons is regarded as the first neuron of the reconstruction processes and undergoes update processes and that the processing moves and occurs in the neighborhood neuron. By this way, the effects of enhancement are gained even in the obscure edge. In addition, this way leads to the most effective location for image analysis through the inhibitory status of neuron and stimulates the update processes of neuron.
