Recent Curriculum Development in the Early Childhood Geometry in Czech Republic
KURˇINA, FRANTISˇEK 한국수학교육학회 1997 수학교육연구 Vol.1 No.2
The paper deals with some aspects of early childhood geometry in the Czech Republic. Children's first geometrical experiences come from real life. In our opinion, there exist four types of geometrical experience which can be called the partition of space, the filling of space, motion in space and the dimension of space. We distinguish three levels of the mathematical learning process: a spontaneous level, an operational level and a theoretical level.
Florid osseous dysplasia in a middle-aged Turkish woman: A case report
Buket Önder,Şebnem Kurşun,Bengi Öztaş,Emre Barış,Erdal Erdem 대한영상치의학회 2013 Imaging Science in Dentistry Vol.43 No.3
Florid osseous dysplasia (FOD) is an uncommon, benign, cemento-osseous lesion of the jaws. The etiology of FOD is still unknown. It is often asymptomatic and may be identified on routine dental radiographs. The classic radiographic appearance of FOD is amorphous, lobulated, mixed radiolucent/radiopaque masses of cotton-wool appearance with a sclerotic border in the jaws. In our case the lesion was found incidentally on routine periapical radiographs taken for restored teeth and edentulous areas. For further and detailed examination, a panoramic radiograph and cone-beam computed tomograph (CBCT) were taken. The panoramic radiograph and CBCT revealed maxillary bilateral and symmetrical, non-expansile, well-defined, round, radiopaque masses in contact with the root of the maxillary right second molar and left first molar teeth. Our aim in presenting this case report was to highlight the importance of imaging in diagnosis of FOD.
Interval-Valued Fuzzy Relations

By using the notion of interval-valued fuzzy relations, we forms the poset (IVFR (X), ≤) of interval-valued fuzzy relations on a given set X. In particular, we forms the subposet (IVFE (X), ≤) of interval-valued fuzzy equivalence relations on a given set X and prove that the poset (IVFE(X), ≤) is a complete lattice with the least element and greatest element.

This study aims to develop thermo-responsive poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAAm) graftedpoly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA-g-PNIPAAm) copolymer membranes for separation of isopropyl alcohol(IPA)/water mixtures via pervaporation. PVA-g-PNIPAAm copolymers were synthesized by microwavesupportedgraft copolymerization. Structure of copolymers was characterized by element analysis, FTIR,TGA/DTG/DSC, 13C NMR and SEC. PVA-g-PNIPAAm membranes prepared with casting technique werecharacterized by SEM-AFM. Effects of grafting yield, operation temperature, and feed concentration onseparation factor and flux were investigated to determine the membrane performance. The maximumseparation factor was 95 with flux of 0.011 kg/m2 h at 87.4% IPA. Thermo-responsive PVA-g-PNIPAAmmembranes developed in this study are promising for pervaporation.

Managing Multicultural Diversities in Nigeria: What Role for the Mass Media?
Jude Terna Kur,Fabian Ikechukwu Agudosy,John Aigbovbioise Orhewere 숙명여자대학교 아시아여성연구원 2015 OMNES: The Journal of Multicultural Society Vol.5 No.2
Nigeria, a country with about 150 million people, is a multicultural society along geographical, religious, ethnic, and political ideological identities. These multicultural diversities have played out to create an unfortunate situation of hatred, distrust, cut-throat rivalry, animosity, intolerance, and violent conflicts among the diverse groups. These challenges are gradually destroying the cherished values of peace and unity upon which the corporate existence of Nigeria rests. Thus, the country is gradually heading towards state fragility and disintegration. This calls for serious efforts at addressing the challenges posed by multicultural diversities in Nigeria. The mass media are an important social institution in these efforts, if properly utilized. This paper, a prescriptive discourse, examines ideal roles for the mass media in facilitating a harmonious relationship among the diverse cultural groups. The prescriptive discourse focuses on the exigencies of peace journalism; community broadcasting; training and re-training of media workers in peace/conflict, multicultural, ethical, and moral issues; and the institutionalization of a democratic and participatory system of communication. To complement these strategies, the paper advocates for a radical reconstruction of the entire Nigerian society to address the hydra-headed challenges of corruption, poverty, weak institutions, and lost moral and cultural values.

The aim of this study was to determine the presence and prevalence of larval stages of Dicrocoelium dendriticum and Brachylaima sp. in the first intermediate host, a species of land snail, Helix aspersa, in Turkey. A total of 211 snails were collected in April-May 2014 from pastures in Mersin District. Larval stages of D. dendriticum were identified under a light microscope. Hepatopancreas from naturally infected H. aspersa snails were examined histologically. The prevalence of larval stages of D. dendriticum and Brachylaima sp. in H. aspersa snails was found to be 2.4% and 1.9%, respectively, in Mersin, Turkey. Cercariae were not matured in sporocysts at the beginning of April; however, it was observed that cercariae matured and started to leave sporocysts by early-May. Thus, it was concluded that H. aspersa acts as an intermediate host to D. dendriticumin and Brachylaima sp. in Mersin, Turkey. A digenean trematode Brachylaima sp. was seen for the first time in Turkey.
Maxillary Ameloblastoma Case of a Dog
Aydın Gurel,Gulbin .ennazli,Kur.at Ozer,Ahmet Gulcubuk 대한수의학회 2003 Journal of Veterinary Science Vol.4 No.1
In this report, an ameloblastoma case, which hasbeen occurred on the left maxilla of a 10 year-old,male,German shepherd, was described on the clinicaland morphological features. The mass with thedimensions of 5×2.5 cm was removed totally bymaxillectomy and examined by radiography, magneticresonance (MR) and biopsy. The tumor was histopa-thologically classified ameloblastoma of follicular typeand in some fields showed acanthotic form. Theinvasiveness of the tumor was also observed to behigh. This report is the first case of maxillaryameloblastoma in dogs in Turkey.
