While the clinical diagnostic accuracy of probable Alzheimer′s disease (AD) is 87-96% with a diagnostic sensitivity/specificity of 0 81-0 87, the unequivocal diagnosis of AD rests on histopathological evidence at brain autopsy and/or biopsy We report here a 92-year-old woman whose clinical presentation suggested a far advanced Alzheimer′s disease Formal neuropsychological evaluations were not applicable due to severe cognitive impairments With a relatively good general physical condition she could walk with aid during her last days no focal neurological signs were noted on a detailed examination Brain MRI revealed a diffuse cortical atrophy with a marked reduction in the hippocampal volume The brain obtained weighted 780g The cerebral hemispheres examined after fixation disclosed moderately severe atrophy in prefrontal and temporal lobes on coronal section, the hippocampus was likewise severely atrophied the lateral ventricles were moderately dilated On microscope examination, there were numerous senile plaques and neurofibrillary tangles in the neocortices. hippocampus and amyglada, compatible with advanced Alzheimer′s disease In summary we report the first Korean autopsy-proven case with advanced Alzheimer′s disease.

Recently, there will be need to make up construction site on the reclamation ground in considering effective using the small country and expansion of urban site. therefore, there is coming many troubles such as effluence of seepage-out water and differential settlement as constructional structure is made on the soft reclamation ground. This study, examined behavior of foundation, property and behavior of pollution matter and the stable term of reclamation ground when reclamation ground is used to construction site, indicate that there are necessary fact for maintenance-management to investigate 10 case of reclamation construction for the analysis of troubles and their cause. Usually, the reclamation ground is constructing on the soft soils and lubricate action of pollution matter cause the lateral flow pressure to foundation pile. if there were considered to differential settlement pipe-line-arrangement of underground structure must be constructed with flexible joint and reclamation will be required to aseismic design as the shearing force of reclamation ground is suddenly decreased by vibration owing to construction property

Nonfunctioning pancreatic endocrine tumor is a rare disease without showing any specific clinical manifestations. Indolent growth of this tumor has a prognosis in between functioning endosrine tumor of pancreas and exocrine adenocarcinoma. We experienced a nonfunctioning pancreatic islet tumor in 59 year old male patient. The electrochemical property in H_(g)-(x)_Cd_(x)Te(x= 0.198) by anodic oxcidation have been studied in the standard aqueous solutions(pH=6, 9, 12) of ethylene glycol(90%) and H₂O-KOH(10%). At range of potential -0.1V ~ + 1.2V, 3 oxcidation peaks appeared. The rich residue Hg of HCT surface was related to oxcidation process of depleting Hg²+ ion in aqueous solution. Most of oxcidation materials were considered TeO₃ HTeO₃ HHgO₂, HTeO₂, TeO₂ and very little of Cd(OH)₂. The higher PH degree, the faster oxcidation process.
올림픽·세계선수권대회 쇼트트랙 스피드스케이팅 기록 변화 추이 분석

이 연구는 쇼트트랙 스피드스케이팅 종목별 예선, 준준결승, 준결승, 결승 기록의 차이경향 그리고 그동안 올림픽과 세계대회가 개최되는 동안의 쇼트트랙 스피드스케이팅 각 종목의 기록을 분석하여 종목별 기록변화의 추이를 분석하고 이를 바탕으로 차기 대회의 기록예측과 더불어 향후 훈련 또는 선수선발의 기초자료로 활용하는데 목적이 있다. 이 연구에서는 쇼트트랙 스피드스케이팅이 올림픽 시범종목으로 채택된 1988년 캘거리올림픽을 시점으로 2010년 벤쿠버올림픽 및 2011년 세계선수권대회 기록을 중심으로 기록변화 추이 분석을 위하여 각 종목별 예선, 준준결승, 준결승, 결승 기록을 대상으로 하였다. 이 연구 결과는 종목별 기록변화 패턴이 남녀별 종목별로 일부에서는 공통적으로, 일부 종목에서는 다르게 나타난 점이 확인되었다. 연구결과는 선수선발 방법이 종목별로 보다 다양한 방법으로 차별화 될 필요가 있음을 시사한다. 결론적으로 남녀별 500m, 1,000m 종목으로 다양한 타임레이스에 의한 선수선발과 평가가 더욱 강화될 필요가 있다. The purpose of this study was to conduct the trend analysis of Short Track Skating competitions for Korean National team members during Olympic Games and World Championships between 1988 and 2011. In detail, the record time changes were summarized in qualifying rounds, quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals by each event during those games. As results of statistical analyses, there were gender differences in a few events, such as 500m and 1000m, as well as different trends of the record time in the different event of Short Track competitions. It infers that differentiated and specialized training methods should be applied for 500m and 1000m events for different genders. Furthermore, it could be emphasized that the assignment of the beginners in each event should be carefully administered and the evaluation of the training effects should be enhanced.
Immuno-stimulating , Anti-stress and Anti-thrombotic Effects of Unossified Velvet Antlers

Both ethanol and water extracts of unossified velvet antler were found to exhibit a significant immuno-stimulating activity as measured by carbon clearance test in mice, a remarkable antifatigue effect in weight-loaded forced swimming performance in mice. a significant anti-stress effect on immobilization in rats. The antler extracts also showed a weak but significant anti-thrombotic activity. These findings are indicative of adaptogenic properties of antlers and their normalizing effects during stressful condition.

<P>A systematic approach was followed to develop a new counter-electrode consisting of a highly reflective polymer substrate and a highly conductive polymer for use in dye-sensitized solar cells. The reflection of the incident light from the substrate allows more solar light to be harvested by the dye. We compared the photovoltaic performance of the TCO- and Pt-less counter-electrodes based on the reflective and pristine polymer substrates. To ensure that the production system of a factory is efficient, the factory layout design should consider the location and material flow plans of facilities, workshops, and storage areas. Highly productive factories need to have an optimized layout planning process, and a customized design methodology of the production system is a necessity for feasible layout planning. This paper presents a method for designing a layout module's size and shape and provides a heuristic location-allocation algorithm for the modules. The method is implemented and validated using a rich internet application-based platform. The layout design method is based on the leisure ship production process; this method can be used for designing the layout of a new factory or remodeling an existing factory and its production system. In contrast to existing layout methods, the inputs required for the proposed method, such as target products, production processes, and human-resource plans, are simple. This layout design method provides a useful solution for the initial stage of factory design.
