Valve seat inserts are used in the valve train area of internal combustion engines. Good wear resistance is needed since repeated stress is applied by the valves under combustion gas atmosphere of high temperatures. Currently, most of the valve seat inserts are being manufactured by P/M route. In this study, the characteristics of materials especially the wear resistance with the addition of Cr-hard particles were investigated. The results of this study are as follows: increase in the Cr-hard particles resulted in a decrease of the density of specimens. Pores formed by Cr diffusion from Cr-hard particles was attributed to the reduction in density. As a result, radial crushing strength was decreased with increase of the Cr-hard particals. Engine simulation test indicated that matrix can be hardened with the addition of Cr-hard particles. The excess addition of Cr-hard particles, however, degrades the wear resistance by the increase of residual pores. Therefore, the appropriate amount of Fe-Cr-C hard particles is 1∼5 wt%.

최근 관광분야에서는 도시관광이나 관광권에 대한 의미가 커지고 있다. 본 연구는, 최근 청원군과의 통합을 통해 새로운 지방거점도시로서 발전해 가고 있는 청주시를 대상으로, 도시관광이 갖는 관광목적지로서의 역할과 발전가능성을, 관광통계 등을 통해 검토한 것에 있다. 연구결과, 지역관광에서 도시관광이 갖는 기능과 역할은 매우 큰 것으로 확인된다. 또한 관련연구와 사례연구를 통해 보면, 이러한 도시관광의 발전에 있어서는 중심상업지역의 역할이 매우 크고, 이들이 하나의 관광활동목적지로서 기능해 나가기 위해서는 숙박교류기반과 테마자원 등을 통해 관광목적지로서의 명확한 이미지와 실체를 확보해 나가는 것이 무엇보다 필요한 것으로 나타난다. 청주시의 경우, 이러한 중심기능이 매우 떨어져 있고, 시설은 분산되어 있어, 도시관광뿐만 아니라 관광목적지로서의 기능이 매우 약한 것으로 나타난다. 그리고 이러한 도시관광의 기능 부족은 충북관광이 활성화되지 못하는 중요한 원인이 되고 있는 것으로 관찰된다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 연구결과를 토대로, 청주시 도시관광이 관광목적지로 발전하기 위한 몇 가지 기본적인 발전방향을 검토했다.
Quinoline誘導體들의 置換基效果에 關한 吸收分光學的 硏究

In the present work, the ultra-violet absorption spectra of quinoline and its 17 derivatives with various substituents have been studied and discussions are made in terms of inductive and mesomeric effects derived from the first and second order perturbstion theory upon the wavelenth shift and intensty change of the ^(1)L_(k) and ^(1)L_(a) type bands. In order to calculate the respective wavelength shifts of absorption peaks of ^(1)L_(k)bands of the quinoline derivatives which are caused by the substituent effects, modified and extended method of Longuet-Higgins has been used. The calculated results show good agreement with the experimental data. In the case of the quinoline derivatives which have monosubstituent at 2, 3, 4. 5, 6, 7 and S positions respectively, the a-and β-naphthylmethyl anion models have been proposed for the irterpretation band shifts. It has been found that the above mentioned models are quite suitable proposal. In the explanation of the changes in absorption, intensities due to the substruent effects in some monosubstituent quinolines. an attempt has been made to use the idea of spectrpscopic moment put forward by Platt and Petruska. Qualitative agreement between the above mentioned treatments and the experimental results has been obtained. For the purpose of investigating the relationship between the substituent effects on the spectra and basicity of the quinoline derivatives, basicity of quinoline and its 17 detatives are measured in 46 per cent ethanol aqueous solution by the usual spectrophotometric methods. Basicities of quinoline derivatives are discussed in terms of inductive effect of substituents and, in addition, the applicability of the Hammett equation has been tested.
한국산 응애科(거미網:진드기目)의 계통 분류학적 연구(Ⅱ) : 야생 식물에 기생하는 응애류 Spider Mites,Parasitic on Wild Plants

The purpose of the present paper is to record taxonomic notes on several Korean spider mites. The specimens on which this study is based were collected by the authors during the period from May, 1986 to June, 1987. The following species are the spider mites concerned in this paper: 1. Panonychus citri(McGregor), ^*2. Eotetranychus populi Koch, ^*3. eotetranychus smithi Pritchard and Baker, ^*4. Schizotetranychus bambusae Reck, ^*5. Schizotetranychus celarius (Banks), ^*6. Schizotetranychus leguminosus Ehara, ^*7. Oligonychus orthius Rimando, 8. Tetranychus kanzawai Kishida, ^*9. Tetranychus phaselus Ehara. ^*10. Tetranychus truncatus Ehara, 11. Tetranychus vienensis Zacher, 12. Tetranychus urticae Koch. Among them, eight species with asterisk are newly recorded from Korea. In addition, empodiums of pretarsus were carefully observed and enzyme patterns by electrophoresis were compared on some species in order to induce their systematic inter-relationship at either species or generic level.
洪城 保寧地區의 烏樓山과 其外의 山에서 採集한 昆忠과 다른 生物에 대하여

忠南 洪城群, 保寧群의 六個 調査區에서 採集한 飛蟲은 70科 232種이고, 全體 動物은 97科 303種이 採集, 또는 確認되었다. 北韓에만 捿息하는 것으로 알려진 산굴뚝나비 (Minois antonoe Staudinger) 가 이곳에서 發見되었다. 西韓없고 中韓과 北韓에만 있는 것으로 알려진 꼬마부전나비 (Cupido minimus Fuessly)가 發見되었다. 西韓에만 사는 바둑돌부전나비 (Taraka hamada Druce) 와 中韓에서만 棲息하는 부처나비 (Mycalesis gotoma Moore )가 確認되었다. 이 調査는 人間의 于涉으로 減少되어 가는 이 地域 動物相 硏究의 基礎資料가 될 것이다. Animal fauna of Hongsung and Boryong area was studied from July to November in 1985. Insects, spiders, and other organi는 collected or observed in this area were classified into 303 species under 97 families. A butterfly named Minois antonoe sibirica Ataudinger which is endemic to north Korea was collected. Cupido minimus Fuessly, a butterfly, is also an unrecorded species in this area. Seventy families out of ninty seven families were insects collected in Hongsung and Boryong district. In is the first datum of animal fauna in this area, where a million volt thermo generation electric power plant is located nearby. Studies on the insects fauna of this area will give us comparable darum in the near future for the environ-ment changes incessantly.

최근 환경오염으로 인한 날씨의 변화, 자원 고갈에 따른 국제 유가의 상승 등 날씨 및 에너지 문제가 기업이나 국가 심지어 개인의 일상생활, 경제활동에 크나큰 영향을 미치고 있다. 이와 같은 이유로 대체에니지 중 태양 에너지 개발에 필요한 일사량 관리와 기후 데이터의 변화 특성 등을 근거로 지역성 규명에 관한 연구가 많이 이루어지고 있다. 그리나, 아직까지는 데이터 마이닝을 통한 지역적 특성에 따른 군집 및 체계적인 분석 데이터 검색 서비스가 효과적으로 제공되지 않고 있다. 이 논문에서는 국내에서 측정된 기후데이터를 저장 및 관리하기 위한 데이터를 모델링하고, κ-means 기법을 이용하여 국내 기후 데이터를 지역적 특성에 따라 군집함으로써 체계적인 데이터 정보를 제공한다. 그리고 이 정보를 날씨 마케팅에 적용될 수 있는 방법을 제시한다. 제안 시스템은 기업의 날씨 마케팅 연구 및 이에 영항을 미치는 요소와 분석 정보를 제공할 수 있는 기본 데이터베이스 구축에 유용하게 활용될 것이다. Recently, the weather is influenced by the environmental pollution and the oil price is rising because of the lack of resources. So, the weather and energy are influencing not only enterprise or nation, but also individual daily life and economic activity very much. Because of these reasons, there are so many researches about management of solar radiation needed to develope solar energy as alternative energy. And many researchers are also interested in identifying the area according to changing characteristics of climate data. However, so far, the researches have not been developed how to apply the cluster analysis, retrieval and analytical results according to the characteristics of the area through data mining. In this paper, we modeled the data for storing and managing the climate data tested in twenty cities in the domestic area. And we provided the information according to the characteristics of the area after clustering the domestic climate data, using κ-means clustering algorithm. And we suggest the way how to apply to the department store and amusement park as an applied weather marketing. The proposed system is useful for constructing the database about the weather marketing and for providing the elements and analysis information, influencing to the weather change.

Occupational hearing loss became the leading occupational disease by constioution 56% of all work-related diseases in Korea. However, the prevalance rates showed wide variations among the specific medical examination providers and were very low(0.8-1.4%) compared with those 8.4% in Japan. The sources of these variations was regarded in the preview study as 1) Employee audometric estings were primarily conducted by nurses and nurse-aids who had no formal training for audiometry; 2) althought audiometric testing equipment used by the spedific medical examination providers, it should be periodically calibrated, a significant number of them were not properly calibrated : 3) Initial audiometric testings were conducted at any available spaces in workplace or at the testing room without considering bachground noise level. One of solutions that can be done for sloving surrent noise related problems is to provide a noise related manual for the occupational health managers including doctors, nurses and hyginests. This study was done to provide such a manual. The main core of the manual was hearing conservation program. And the contents of the manual was the same as the main frame of hearing conservation program such as noise survey, provided of the diagram showing the core contents of each factor of the hearing conservation program. Hopefully, this manual will be the references of the standardized performances of the specific medical examination providers.
韓國의 Pseudoscorpion에 대한 分類學的 硏究
